I had an amazing day at Pearl Harbor. I didn´t go to the USS memorial because I don´t like boats. But instead I went on the USS Bowfin a fantastic experience. The USS Missouri battleship was awesome ! And it is so big, you need to set good time for this activiti so you can enjoy everything. And take the guided tours, they are really great. Also a big hand for the busdriver that day, Cathrine. She was great, smiling, happy, talked with everybody and maked all of us smiling. I was the only one who did the big tour in Pearl Harbor that day. On the way back she drove through Punchbowl and China town, really sweet and an exstra service for me. Fantastic day.

Travelling with my 15yo girl & 10yo boy we had some reservation as to whether they would enjoy this tour. What can I say it was awesome. Duke our tour guide (and owners son) made the day completely enjoyable, upbeat, interesting (even to non Americans) and nothing was to much trouble. We only had about 20 people of this tour so was very personal and comprehensive. An early start meant we beat the crowds at Arizona and Duke's personal knowledge made for an even better tour.
Basically if you want to do a military tour - YOU MUST DO THIS !!!!!!!!
Don't worry about Missouri & Bowfin (they require another full day) these can be done another day. This tour takes you onto the military bases and gives a genuine insight as to what they are like.
Aloha to the Aus Family,
Thank you for responding with such an excellent review. We appreciate your support. Duke's passionate about his work. We continue each and every day to keep history alive at Home of the Brave. We are happy that your family enjoyed your day with us!

I have taken ALOT of tours in my day, and this is by far one of the best I have ever taken. From the minute I got into the (very nice and very CLEAN) charter, the guide, Duke (who just happens to be the son of the owner!) just MADE the day. He was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable of the rich history surrounding both Pearl Harbor and WWII in general.
Throughout the tour, he used humor and wit to share fascinating REAL stories of actual soldiers and events to really make this time in history come alive to all on board. I was just so impressed.
This tour was so much better organized than most other tours I have been on, yet they somehow managed to not make me feel like cattle being herded and pushed around....although we had a schedule to stick to, I never once felt rushed or hurried...it was such an enjoyable day. Duke had a great balance of giving us time on our own to look around the sites and exhibits (rather than treating us like children) yet he was always

Initially, we were told that we were unable to tour the Arizona until 30 minutes before we needed to check out of our hotel. Our driver, Cousin Jerry, saved the day. He walked up to the ticket booth and obtained tickets for my entire family for a tour three hours earlier. This gave us plenty of time to tour the Arizona and Honolulu and have lunch. He really went the extra mile for us!

The main benefit in this tour was to have someone else stand in line and get the tickets and drive around. The Arizona memorial and Missouri tours are handled basically self tours. My favorite portion was the oral history as told by our guide, Cousin Jerry. This was too short. I wish I had heard more from him.

This was a great experience we got to see the USS Missouri, The Pacific Aviation Museum, The USS Arizona Memorial, and the USS Bowfin. Our driver Francis was very nice and took very good care of us. This would be a long day for children under the age of about ten, other than that it would be a great experience for anyone who is interested in Pearl Harbor as well as other interesting aspects of the US military.

I was hesitant whether or not to go to the USS Missouri while visiting Pearl Harbor because we did not have a full day to spend there. I am glad I did. We did the tour on our own, which I would recommend if you are on a time restraint as we were. We were able to stop and listen to some of the guides as they were communicating with their groups and overall had a great experience for the cost.

The tour and the tour bus were excellent. We got tickets to the Arizona shuttle/tour as advertised and the driver was fun and informative. Worth the price for the "front of the line" tickets at the Arizona. Family of 6 really enjoyed the experience and it was the right duration for the youngest (5).
The instructions for pickup at 635am were vague enough to cause a little confusion for us because the hotel where we were picked up is closed and under renovation. And the point of contact number on the voucher was not answered at that time of the morning to make sure we were at the correct location. A little "personal attention to detail" giving more information would have gone a long way to make the pickup less stressful. This is our only complaint... minor.

The tour to Pearl Harbour and the US Arizona was very interesting and educational. We are not Americans and were impressed at the objectivity apparent in the various museums and displays. The Arizona Memorial is moving, all the more so as it is still leaking oil and we are forced to remember that it is something real, not a recreation or imagined scene.
Our guide, Frank, was personable and full of stories and information. He was fun!

I have booked all my Pearl Harbor Tours over the years with Hawaii Activities and have always had a great day. This was a new tour being offered and I thought that it would be the perfect tour that would allow me to visit four major WWII sites in one full comprehensive day. It met all of my expectations and then some. The actual tour was very informative and moving. Our driver/guide, Francis, did a fantastic job during a day filled with problems. First, the bus was running late with all the different pick-ups and it didn’t reach my hotel until a half-hour after my scheduled pick-up time. Then we had to meet another bus and transfer all those people to our bus. This made us later yet and put us right in the middle of the slow moving rush hour morning traffic. When we finally got to the Arizona Memorial we were running behind. Then when it was our turn to finally enter the movie room, the electricity went out in the entire Visitor Center. We had to skip the movie and head right

Everyone should experience this tour sometime during their life. The memorial is a tragic, yet holy and beautiful tribute to our fallen military who died so suddenly on Dec. 7, 1941.
The tour operator was very informative and treated everyone like family. The downtown tour was full of history and tidbits shared by our driver, "Cousin Jerry", a full blooded older Hawaiian gentleman.

This Home of the Brave tour was absolutely fantastic. We looked at a lot of tours but this one sounded the most interesting. And it certainly out to be so.
From start to finish our brilliant tour guide Olav told us fascinating and riveting information on the Pearl Harbour attack - a lot that we didn't know! He is a mine of information and as a tour guide he was one of the best I've ever been on a tour with. Great easy style, marvellous interesting information, and a good sense of humor. He got everyone organized without any fuss or muss and was fun to be with.
What this man doesn't know about Pearl Harbour - I wouldn't think is much. He had pictures and played big band music, clips, and riveting information on all sorts of levels, fun, factual, historical, the spies, the politics, the battle. Very very good.
I would highly recommend this tour. Nice smallish group - about 20 people and it was easy. Loved this tour. Excellent leader and well worth the money. Thanks

When I booked this trip I had researched many other companies and chose this one as it concentrated on Pearl Harbor offerring a full day comprehensive tour of this amazing site .
The tour exceeded our expectations, with Wes our informed and humorous bus driver and the amazing guides at various parts of the Pearl Harbor site all contributing to a very positive experience at this awesome harbor. It is an awe inspiring experience to stand at the place where the war commenced for the USA with the horrible loss of precious lives ,and even more spine tingling, standing at the exact spot where the treaty to end the war took place. The experience was enhanced by amazing informative guides and I would strongly recommend this particular tour for anyone going to Pearl Harbor.

My father was stationed in Pearl Harbor for four (4) years commencing one (4) month after the attack. I wanted to at least have a hands on experience as to what he went through and the conditions during that specific timeframe.
Jim was the consummate tour guide. His knowledge of the "inside" and side-bar stories of the Pearl Harbor attack, many focusing on the US Army Air Corps participation, enhanced all of the stops we made: the USS Arizona Memorial, Wheeler Field, Schofield Barracks, Fort Shafter and National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl National Cemetery). These stories fill in the spaces that most of us have in our knowledge of the attack. In fact, I was extremely impressed with Jim’s knowledge in areas that I had not heard and/or read about over the years of conversation with my Mom and Dad and/or studies associated with this part of our history.
I especially enjoyed Jim’s setting the scene at all of the stops. He wants to place you in that place at that

This tour was booked as a surprise to me by my husband, Ron, and our daughter on the occasion of my 70th birthday, along with a two-week vacation to Hawaii. I have long wanted to see the USS Arizona Memorial, as my father and stepfather were both in the armed services during World War II. The tour is given by a sharp US Navy crew and the dignity and remembrance of our gallant fighting men of all armed service branches is preserved. There are always some in the tour group, usually under 30, who haven't a clue as to what the horrors of war are; their actions echo their folly. The Royal Star drivers were knowledgeable and humorous when appropriate. The tour on the USS Missouri was given by Marc and you would've thought he was there as he described the battleship's statistics and history. The reality of what war does to people who are in it, no matter what side they are on, was once again brought home. I am so glad this was arranged by my thoughtful family. It took awhile for me to

This may not be the best for younger kids but if they have any interest in the worlds history then this will be perfect. The memorial is breathtaking and a real tear jerker. I would recommend anyone visiting Oahu must see it. We had a mix up on the pickup location so we got on the bus about 30 minutes late but still made the memorial with plenty of time before our showing of the movie. The place is great and the stories behind it our sobering. The Mighty Mo is great for the whole family. Lots of cool things to touch and see. The tour continues with the downtown trip and punch bowl drive through. Both were well timed and needed after the long day of walking.
