Oahu
This was a great tour.
First time to Hawaii, this definitely was a must see. Our tour guide was very informative, he himself served in the military. He kept us on schedule, we had no long lines to stand in to receive our tickets, our guide received the tickets directly from the booth for our entire group, allowing us to enter promptly. The tour of Pearl Harbor was a very solemn reminder of the cost that has been paid to sustain our nation's freedom. Enjoyed the tour of the USS Missouri, the ship is massive, tour guide did a wonderful job pointing out the facts and point of interests on the ship. The tour of the Pucnchbowl & downtown was just as good. Our guide again shared alot of interesting facts & info. Well worth the time.
A wish of a lifetime fulfilled. No disappointments here.
The only thing I would say is get there early, but it was the finest experiences I have had. We got to see what we wanted to see and I went to Ernie Pyle's marker. I went to Indiana University and the Joun Bldg is named for him.
Peace and Freedom
My 16yr old son and I really enjoyed our tour. Our guide "Nick" added so much to the tour. Nicks knowledge of the tour facts and the history involved were incredible! Nick lead us on a fantastic journey of information. We were totally taken care of and treated like family! I highly recommend this tour to anyone considering it! On behalf of my son and I, thankyou Hawaii Activities! P.S. Thanks Nick!
Very educational, to see it up close and personal makes you realize the sacrifice that was made for our freedom.
Great Tour! Our tour guide/bus driver was very informative. Was a wealth of knowledge about the memorial and the city.
Sorry we did not book more tours through Hawaii Activities. Would recommend them to anyone.
Such a great tribute to all who gave their lives protecting our freedom.
We only had one day on Oahu. We were interested in an overview of Pearl Harbor and Oahu. This tour more than fulfilled this objective. Our tour guide was very experienced, enthusiastic, clever, and he treated us like valued customers.
Very informative and sobering experience.
We really enjoyed this tour!! Our guide was very knowlegable and experienced. Everyone visiting Oahu should visit the Arizona at least once. The Missouri was also very interesting, as was the Punchbowl.
Wonderful tour. Very moving. Something everyone from the United States should see and respect the memory of those that died there.
A very touching and meaningful experience.
Regardless of what Island you may stay at it is very easy to Island hop.
Our guide was coughing into the mike as he talked and we thought if he was sick, he should have stayed home. He could have at least removed the mike when he was coughing.
The tour itself was wonderful!
A very enjoyable day and also emotional one. What made the trip was meeting a Pearl Harbour veteran and also being on the memorial to pay my respects. Our driver that day very funny man he needs to be on the stage.
Wonderful tour. Guide on the Missouri - "Toby" was great. He served on Mighty Mo and was very knowledgeable of every detail of the ship. Will do it again.
It was my first time to Oahu and we did not rent a car, which made this Tour very easy for us. We were picked up and returned in front of our hotel. Our driver "Cousin Greg" was a pleasure to be with, his humor and knowledge of the island was a big hit with our group. Definitely pay the $5 to rent the Audio Tour when you are at the Arizona Memorial. Mighty MO was awsome and Punch Bowl was beautiful. The 'Iolani Palace was closed but the outside was nice to see. The bus was prompt, clean and very comfortable. I would recommend this tour to everyone visting the island of Oahu for the first time. Aloha!
The driver was great! He shared all kinds of information with us about both the USS Arizona and the USS Missouri as well as Pearl Harbor. He was also able to give detailed information about each historical location we passes as well as Punchbowl Cemetary. It was a great trip worth taking!!!
Don't miss the tour of the USS Missouri
The memorial symbolises the start of WW2 and the USS Missouri the end
After all, this tour is primarily based around a trip to a cemetary. There really isn't that much to see of the Arizona itself, just some shadows underwater really. As I mentioned though, this is a little different to your average tourism spot, no "ooooh's and ahhhh's for the spectacular at the Arizona Monument.
The battleship Missouri is quite impressive though, the tour around the boat itself is quite interesting and is very much worth a look.
The city and punchbowl tour really isn't much at all. You basically drive in and out through the city, that's the tour pretty much. The Punchbowl Cemetary is a three minute detour and probably really isn't woth the bother for what you see there.
Patty was a great tour guide she was very informative and knew a lot about the area. She was awesome with our two kids and showed them special attention to keep their attention.
Awesome place to be, so much history, spooky in some areas, will revisit.
Our tour was with Roberts Hawaii, bus 623, driver Uncle Ted. Top tour, highly recommend this tour.
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The Driver (from Samoa) was very knowledgeable and entertaining about the Islands and the Arizone /Missouri. He made it well worth the time and money.
I would recommend this trip to anyone visiting the island for the first time. As long as the pick-up bus gets started, the tour is a fun and enjoyable one while learning a great deal about the history of Pearl Harbor. Tour guide was excellent.
The tour can't be called fun, but i can say "don't miss it". It's very informative, quite solemn (the Arizona portion) and something i think every visitor should take in. It was well organized, good timing, and did everything we hoped it would.
This was a great tour. I am planning on doing it again in 2009. Our tour guide/driver, Art, was great. Great deal and very informative.
Great tour and guide
The tour was very enjoyable and the guide was fantastic. We learned a lot more about the events and places than we imagined.
What an amazing tour this was. They first take you out to Pearl Harbor where the war was started and you watch the movie about the start of the war, and then you take a boat trip out the memorial which tugs at the heart strings. After pearl Harbor they take you out to USS Missouri where the war ended. You can even see the spot where the surrender was signed. We ate lunch there in the galley, neat experience. Finally we stopped at punchbowl cemetery and looked around. We got some incredible views of the City. Finally they took us on a small sightseeing tour of the city with some fun stories about the history. Great tour! I loved every minute.
Booked directly with Roberts Hawaii prior to coming to Hawaii, the tour guide was great, he told us what not to take to much time on and how everything worked. We only had one problem when we went to the second ship USS missouri, we had a tour guide from the ship and people that were NOT a part of the tour started to join our group which caused our group to become huge by the end and we only had 10 minutes to either eat or see anything else they had, so we missed out on the simulator which the girls really wanted to partake in. Next time I would suggest that you have your own specific tour guide, with colored stickers for the people that are with that tour so that the tour guide can distinguish who paid for this private tour and who did not, as we should not be waiting on people that decided to go at it by themselves and then join a tour which they did not pay for. Other than that, the girls 15 & 17 learned alot and were quite impressed with the whole tour itself. I would suggest th
