Great tour!
Reviewed by: Mayor Mabry, 2022/04/16Seeing the Arizona has been on my bucket list for several years. Seeing it and the Missouri was an experience. I didnt go on the Bowfin or into the Aviation museum, but I saw them. The bus had issues at first and they called another bus which caused the tour to be very late. He did stay later, but we didnt have time for the film or much browsing around. They do a little city tour, which is ok but they dont stop for pictures or anything. In my opinion, they should devote the whole tour to Pearl Harbor. It needs more time. I did a trolley ride later on that does a city tour with stops. It was still a good day, just wish I had had more time there.

Not sure how I feel...
Reviewed by: Heather, 2022/03/26I was shocked to find we could not bring our purses in to the facilities. I did not read anything about this on my reservation. There were a lot of people at Pearl Harbor and there was not enough time during the excursion to go into the museums and gift shops. I felt rushed the whole time. Our driver was super nice and very knowledgeable. I feel like this excursion needs more time! There was not even enough time to eatunch and we were starving!

We would have liked to have had a little longer at the Arizona memorial itself as there were so many people it was hard to get the pictures that we wanted in such a short time. Seeing the Missouri was a plus and was awesome, since I am a nurse I would have liked to have seen more of the medical side of the ship...infirmary, pharmacy, Dr office etc....Overall it was very informative and we enjoyed the tour..

A must see tour
Reviewed by: Barry, 2021/10/22How can you visit Honolulu and not see Pearl Harbor and the Missouri. Trip started off badly as our bus was over an hour late. It meant things we were supposed to see on the way to Pearl Harbor was squeezed in on the way back. Not good when you have made dinner cruise plans with the same tour company. Guide Ru Ru was pleasant but brushed aside the delay as being on “Hawaiian time.” Wish we had more time to spend at the Missouri.

Must do!
Reviewed by: Christina S, 2021/07/30The Deluxe Pearl Harbor tour is a must do trip if you're visiting Oahu! The tour seems long but we actually could have easily stayed even longer. Our tour guide Patrick was fantastic and very informative as we drove up to Punchbowl Crater, the cemetery and around Honolulu. We will definitely take this tour next time we visit.

We had a great time
Reviewed by: Christine, 2021/07/24I’ve never been to Oahu so for those coming for the first time, I would definitely recommend going on a a few tours. BK was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable. I’m glad I found this tour here because I tried to purchase everywhere else online and it was all sold out. The only suggestion I have for those going on any tours is to keep track of time. I spent too long at USS Missouri and missed my scheduled tour for USS Arizona Memorial. Luckily I was able to get in on standby but I had to run to the bus right after because time was up.

Great tour. Very informative trip through the city and the two main attractions (Arizona and Missouri) were awe-inspiring.
Reviewed by: J, L & M Thompson, 2020/02/28Larry with Royal Star handled our tour.... if you find a way to replicate him, you will be well served (as well future attendees). He was knowledgeable, fun, affable and a perfect fit for the thread that ties these parts of the tour together.
Cemetery was humbling and very moving - at the very time we drove through, military was preparing for an internment that day.
Downtown tour was just right - highlighting both historical and current buildings and sharing information for possible additional visits later.
Arizona Memorial - website information helped us prepare well (clear bags allowed us to bring cameras and other items). The presentations at the visitor center were informative, and the video presentation was very moving. Little was said on the transport to the memorial, and our time there was memorable -- anyone who visits and is not moved by the sacrifice and losses is missing something.
Missouri was very interesting as well. Self-guided touring allowed for us to take the time needed to explore areas we found interesting. We did not see the Air Museum (but it's on the list next time). Transfers to and from Ford Island were well timed and operated - then it was time for Larry to take us "home".
ONLY complaint - our visit at both the Arizona and Missouri seemed a little rushed. We had about an hour before our tickets for the video, then seemed to have only ten minutes at the memorial (I understand might have been time for lunch for the tender captains?) and then ten minutes before our bus to Missouri (and find time for lunch). At Missouri, we had at most 90 minutes from drop off to time to board return bus back to the visitor center. Even another fifteen minutes at each memorial would have allowed for a more relaxing and reflective visit.

My nerd heart is full!

The USS Missouri is great. Take the guided tour! Our guide had some great stories. I also enjoyed having time to explore on my own.
The USS Arizona Memorial and other memorials were very humbling. So grateful for the men and women who sacrificed their lives that day so I can enjoy the freedom I now have. It was quite humbling to stand over the tomb of those men in the USS Arizona. I also enjoyed the Walk of Honour. My only regret was not having enough time to explore the other things in and around that site.
This was a great starter tour to show me what I might like to do next time. The company from booking to resort pick-up and drop off to not having to navigate the traffic made it well worth the investment. I highly recommend this for everyone. I learned a lot!
I also greatly appreciated the poncho to use as we had rain off and on all day. Unexpected but awesome bonus!

We had the Missouri in Washington state for many years and it was so great to see what a wonderful job Hawaii has done in taking care of this part of history. I learned so much history I didn't know about this war and these ships. The tour driver we had was one of the most knowledgeable ones I'd ever had he told us a lot of info we didn't learn on the tour. Not sure how to spell his name Kaleo I think. I would love to do it again as there was so much to learn.

Great day out
Reviewed by: Kevin Connolly, 2018/09/19From pick up to drop off we had a fantastic day out, disappointed that the Arizona memorial was closed due to the damaged supports however we did get to view it from the boat that takes you out, our driver Marlon was very knowledgeable about honolulu and surrounding area, we had time to visit downtown including the Iolani palace, 5 o headquarters and chinatown, I would have no hesitation in recommending this tour and would do it again.

Very Informative Tour - Our Driver Larry Was Excellent

Highly recommend both the Arizona and Missouri tours. Take the guided tour on the Missouri as the guide will point out many facts and stories you would not otherwise learn. Food stands at the Missouri are much better than what's available at the Arizona so if you want to snack hold off until you get to the Missouri. This was a great tour and I highly recommend it!

A humbling and educational day.

We fell a bit behind schedule on the way back but that was due to traffic and Genshin was nice enough to wait an extra 5-10 minutes for the late passengers. The guided tour portion at Pearl Harbor was brief but it gave everyone a chance to explore the Arizona Memorial and USS Missouri for themselves. A good experience overall.

Very Humbling Day
Reviewed by: Dan B, 2017/12/03We were picked up on time by a very professional and knowledgeable driver who explained everything we needed to know before entering Pearl Harbor. We had time to visit the museum buildings which included many relics from the era and the gift shop before entering the building where a short film is seen. We then boarded a boat piloted by military personnel who brought us to the memorial. Once we entered the memorial we we asked to keep conversations to a whisper to respect the souls below. It was a very humbling moment for us all. We were then taken back to shore and boarded our bus to head to the Missouri. We were told NOT to take any pictures while driving they the military base until we got to the Missouri, There are lots of places to have a quick meal before and after boarding the Ship. Once you're on the ship you can go out on your own or take a free guided tour which I would suggest. because all of the important areas like where the surrender took place. After the tour you will still have time to walk about the ship and to go beneath to view crew quarters and other areas of interest. After leaving the ship we boarded our bus, picked up our bags and purses at the locker area (not allowed at Pearl Harbor) and headed to the Punch Bowl for a short drive thru to pay our respects then to our hotels. This was a very informative tour done by a great drive who also acted as the tour guide. He didn't miss a thing and made us feel that we were back un the day with his presentation. His company would be very proud of him!!
