Today, I was able to see dolphins for a short time nearby. It was very enjoyable to spend time thinking about whether we would meet them, whether we could swim together, and so on. I have been on numerous snorkeling tours in various countries and many in Hawaii, but this was the most disappointing tour.
Reason 1: Despite enduring seasickness on a rocking boat, we went to a spot where there were hardly any fish. It was the worst experience ever. Everyone in my group, including myself, suffered from seasickness.
Reason 2: I anticipate a response like "it's nature, so..." regarding the above reason, but the accompanying photographer was terrible. While I was trying to take pictures of the kids, he constantly interrupted with his loud, cheerful voice, stealing their attention and my perfect timing. For me, who was looking forward to taking photos, he was nothing but a nuisance. Moreover, I was told that if I wanted the photos, it would cost $75. I understood this beforehand, but at such a high price, I would have declined all photography. Naturally, I didn't buy any, but until the very end, I was approached with "I'll give you a discount to $55..." This has led to an absolute negative evaluation of this company. They should have stated the price as $55 from the beginning and only taken time from those who wanted to take photos.
I was so disappointed that I wanted a refund, so the next day I went to a snorkeling spot accessible from land and was able to play with a thousand times more fish.

返金を求めたいくらい残念だったので、翌日、陸から行くシュノーケリングスポットに行ったが1000倍の魚と戯れることが出来ました。

It was our first snorkeling experience as a couple in our 60s and 50s, and we had an amazing time!! The crew was all kind and attentive, which made us feel safe! There were also Japanese staff members, so we felt comfortable even without speaking English! We got to swim with adorable dolphins, and of course, we swam with colorful fish and even a big sea turtle, which was incredibly moving!! The tour was packed with fun activities like water slides and SUP. We were very satisfied! We want to participate again!!

I was able to see many dolphins and honu! I was moved by the pod of dolphins swimming close to the boat! I was worried about my 5-year-old, but as expected, they seemed scared when they jumped into the sea and cried a lot underwater... However, the staff were very kind and supportive, which was a great comfort for me as a mother. On the boat, my child enjoyed watching the dolphins and eating snacks. My elementary school-aged siblings particularly enjoyed the slide and went down it multiple times. I was disappointed that I couldn't see any fish while snorkeling, but that's just how nature is! For our first activity in Hawaii, we chose Dolphin University. On the two-story boat, we could enjoy cruising on the upper deck while feeling the wind before meeting the dolphins. Unfortunately, it was cloudy with light rain, but there were plenty of dolphins. Dolphins have the second-largest brain size after humans, and they swam around the boat, seemingly aware of us. Along the way, the kids got a bit seasick, but overall, we were able to finish the trip in good spirits. I would love to try again on a sunny day!

Also, it's a good idea to bring a change of clothes. There are warm water showers on the boat, and it takes about 40 to 50 minutes by bus from Waikiki. However, they turned off the air conditioning on the way back, which was reassuring.

I went to Hawaii on a reward trip from my company!

However, when we actually went out to sea and arrived at the dolphin spot, we were greeted by an incredible number of dolphins, and the kids were thrilled. The dolphins were friendly and swam around the boat for a long time, which was amazing. We also had the opportunity to snorkel and see sea turtles, which was a series of emotional moments. There was a Japanese-speaking staff member, so I didn't have any anxiety about communication throughout the tour! I wasn't able to see dolphins, but I was informed that I could join the same tour or a tour from the same company for free within two weeks. The experience was very enjoyable, but the weather was a bit bad on the day, and the waves were high, so the snorkeling wasn't in very deep areas. It was fun!

I originally wanted to go whale watching, but I heard that by April, most whales return to migration, so I chose to do a dolphin swim instead.

To my surprise, within just five minutes of departing the harbor, we spotted two whales breaching! They breached more than ten times, and the staff was just as excited as we were.

Instead of just searching for dolphins, they spent about 30 minutes chasing the whales, allowing everyone to see them, and we were able to capture great videos and photos.

After that, we successfully encountered dolphins, but it seemed there was a baby dolphin, and they were quite cautious, so we couldn't swim together.
