I attended my niece's wedding and joined three young-at-heart ladies. Even though I call them ladies, they are seniors, starting from 60! On top of that, none of us could speak English, but we managed just fine. The instructor was assigned to us and was friendly in an American way, trying to keep the mood lively (laughs).

When it was our turn, we boarded the plane (a Cessna?) and took off, but fortunately or unfortunately, I was seated by the door. The door was left open during the ascent, which was the scariest part! As we climbed, the ground below shrank rapidly (maybe we turned), and it was just the sea, yet we kept rising and could see the horizon! My legs went weak, and I was so scared that I instinctively closed my eyes. It seemed like the people in the back didn't have that experience.

During the dive, I left everything to a cautious young man with blue eyes (laughs). When we were falling, it felt like floating and was fun! However, after the parachute opened, perhaps for the sake of service, he started spinning us around, and since I'm sensitive to motion, I completely felt sick.

When I mentioned I was feeling sick (with gestures), he adjusted things, but it still shook until we reached the landing spot, so those who are sensitive to motion will definitely feel unwell.

But it was a valuable experience! I'm glad I did it! It was fun!!

オバサンって言ったって60を筆頭にしたシニアですよ！おまけに英語も全く話せないけど何とかなります。インストラクターは割り当てられていて盛り上げようとアメリカ式に友好的です（笑）

順番が来て飛行機（セスナ？）に乗り込み離陸しますが幸か不幸か座った場所がドアの所でした。ドアは開けたままの上昇でこれが一番怖かった！どんどん足元の地上が小さくなって（旋回したのか）海だけになって、それでも上昇して地平線が見えてくるんです！足がすくんで怖くて思わず目を瞑りました。後ろの席の人はそれはなかったみたいです。

ダイビングは青い目の慎重なお兄ちゃんの成すがままでした（笑）
落ちてる時は浮いてる感じで楽しかった！でもパラシュートが開いてからはサービスのためか振り回してくれるのですが乗り物に弱い私は完全に気持悪くなってしまいました。

気持悪い（手ぶり）と言うと加減してくれますが着陸地点まではやはり揺れるので乗り物に弱い人は気持悪くなるのは必須です。

でも、貴重な経験でした！　やって良かった！楽しかった！！

This was my first time in Hawaii, and also my first time skydiving. My instructor, Jamie, was very kind and always made it fun; I really enjoyed it. He explained everything clearly, including where we were at any given moment. I definitely want to come back to Hawaii and try skydiving again! I would be happy if Jamie could be my instructor again!

You can feel like you are traveling in the great outdoors. The horses are smart, and I felt safe riding even as a beginner. On the course, there were cows grazing, we walked through the forest, and we could see the ocean from a high point. This was truly the essence of horseback riding in Hawaii! They also stop along the way so you can take photos.

However, the guide is a very nice person, but since they don't speak Japanese, the instructions on how to ride and handle the horse are given in English. It might be a bit difficult for those who don't understand any English...

I recommend it for those who have a car and can understand a little bit of English!

It was amazing! Right before diving, my legs wouldn't stop shaking, but once I jumped in, I just went with the flow. It was the best experience (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵). I'm going to challenge myself for the second time in three days.

I just wish I had known in advance that I needed a dollar for the locker and that the photo and video options could be applied for and paid on the day. The driver who told me that I could settle the payment at the hotel was really kind.

My first skydiving experience!
Since it was an early morning plan, we gathered at dawn. I was a bit worried because it was a local tour, but I felt reassured when I could watch a Japanese video in the car during the transfer.
When we arrived at the venue, the local instructor explained everything in English. They said we would be called when it was our turn.

While waiting to be called, I had breakfast from a food truck nearby. The muffin was very delicious.

No matter how long I waited, I wasn't called.
Before I knew it, I had been waiting for about 5 hours.

I wondered why it was taking so long.
The local operation was a bit disorganized, and they were guiding customers who arrived later before us.
No wonder I wasn't called...

I put on the harness, and it was time for the rehearsal.
After practicing a few times on the ground, we boarded a small plane.

フリーフォールの間は、息をするのに必死で、
景色を楽しむのは二の次！

パラシュートが開いてから、やっとハワイの美しい景色が視界に飛び込んできました。

海も青い
ただただ、感動です。

インストラクターさんが、旋回しながら景色の説明をしてくれました。
人生初のスカイダイビングがハワイでよかったです。

I had a horseback riding experience with my husband. On the day we made our reservation, it was canceled due to heavy rain the day before, but we were able to quickly reschedule and go horseback riding. I had previously ridden at a different place, but this one felt more homey, and the instructor was very nice. They taught us how to ride and handle the horses in a clear and thorough manner. The course took us through the great outdoors for just under an hour. We saw some cute cows along the way. We also had a view of the ocean. Unlike the previous riding place, we were able to stop along the way for photo opportunities. If I have the chance to go to Hawaii again, I would love to visit this riding stable again.

I ended up being in the first group to board the plane, and I was really nervous. Mark made jokes and held my hand, which helped me relax. The free fall wasn't scary at all, and it was really fun! Since I was one of the first to jump, I was back at the hotel by 11 o'clock and was able to enjoy some shopping afterward.

I do regret a little that it wasn't that expensive, so I wish I had asked for some photos.

It was unfortunately rainy, but it was really, really great. Our guide was Japanese and shared a lot of useful information about the current situation in Hawaii, the importance of seat belts, and other helpful tips, making the bus ride enjoyable.

In Haleiwa, despite the rain, we were able to tour the area by bus, and the guide provided various information beforehand, which made it very easy and efficient to get around. Personally, Teddy's Bigger Burgers was incredibly delicious...

I thought I might not be able to see the sea turtles because of the rain, but I was able to! I was so happy.

And above all, horseback riding! It was really great. As the name suggests, we walked along the beach the whole time. It felt quite relaxed, in an American way, but that allowed for a lot of interaction with the horses, which was fun. The horse I rode was a mischievous one that kept wandering off the line to eat grass, but the instructor only stepped in during those moments. It was a shame it rained, so I’d like to try again on a sunny day! I'm glad I participated!!

ウミガメは雨だったので無理かなーと半分諦めていたのですが、見ることができました！嬉しかったです。

そしてなんといっても乗馬！すごくよかったですよ。その名の通り、海辺をずっと歩きます。アメリカっぽく結構放置？笑気味だったのですが、そのぶん馬と交流ができて、楽しかったです。わたしが乗った馬はやんちゃな馬で、すぐ列からはみ出して草を食べに行っちゃう男の子だったのですが、そういう時にのみインストラクターのおじさんが対応してくれました。雨だったのだけ残念だったので、晴れの時にまた挑戦したいな！と思います。参加してよかったです！！

Diving at 63 years old was amazing, the movie was great, and the instructor really pumped up the energy with big jokes. Seeing Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach from 14,000 feet was the best view of Oahu. There is an age limit, so I want to dive again.

I chose VEITRA because it allowed me to fulfill both my desire to visit Haleiwa and to go horseback riding. I'm glad I selected this option because they guided me efficiently through the things I wanted to do in Haleiwa (I wanted to see sea turtles, eat garlic shrimp, try shave ice, and do a little shopping), so I didn't have to worry about getting lost.

I was able to enjoy horseback riding while looking at the ocean, which was very pleasant. It's a shame that I could only take one photo while riding the horse, and I couldn't stop it from eating grass. The guide shared various stories while driving, which was helpful.

I participated with my son, a first grader who loves sharks, and my family. I was worried about the high waves, but we were able to see plenty of sharks while wearing life jackets. The gaps in the cage were quite wide, making it seem like a child could easily slip through, which was quite terrifying as a parent. However, my child held on tightly to the bars of the cage, so it was okay. One of the Spanish women who entered the cage with us wore water shoes, and they hit my body hard, which was very painful. Everyone is supposed to take off their sandals and shoes before boarding the boat, but it seems that this was overlooked. It's best to be cautious and check if the people in your group are wearing shoes or sandals. Other than that, I was very satisfied.

North Shore Sunset & Daytime Horseback Riding with Ocean Views - Gunstock Ranch

I booked this horseback riding tour because my boyfriend has expressed how much he has always wanted to ride a horse. I did a quick search and Veltra had this awesome offer for a 2-for-1 which I found perfect as a surprise for him! I booked it and got confirmation very quickly.
We were coming from Honolulu so the drive took about an hour. Our booking was at 2pm and check-in was at 1:30pm. The early check-in was for the explanation of the liability and consent form while they prepared the horses. There was the two of us plus a small family of three. Helmets are recommended but not required- they are free to use. (If opt to not use a helmet, you must sign a section on the liability form) Around 10 minutes before 2pm, they explain and demonstrate how to ride and take care of our horses. We get on and begin the tour shortly after 2pm!
We got lucky with the weather! When we first arrived, it was grey, cloudy and started to drizzle. By the time we began our horse ride it turned sunny! Leanna was our guide and she is the sweetest person! We were all beginning horseback riders so we went at a good pace. She talked about the range, answered our questions, asked about ourselves, and made sure we were all comfortable and in control of our horses throughout the entire tour. The trail included uphill, downhill, and flat plains. The top view was absolutely stunning. We got to see the beautiful blue ocean in-front of us and the Ko'olau mountains behind us. Leanna even took our photos and they came out amazing. It was so serene, sunny and not too hot because there were cool breezes throughout that hour trail ride.
This is definitely an experience of a lifetime. I am so incredibly happy we got to do this! The views were breathtaking and I will be attaching photos even though the real thing is 1000 times better! We'll be doing it again the next time we get the chance. Thank you so much Leanna and Gunstock Range for a lovely time and thank you Veltra for the great offer!

My wife and I were in Hawaii for our honeymoon and wanted to venture out to the north shore of Oahu to get a taste of the landscape out there. I booked a horseback riding tour for our first full day in Oahu, and even though we had to get up early to make it out in time for our ride, it was SO worth it. Everything with the ride and staff at Gunstock ranch was perfect. Finding the ranch was easy and the signs leading to where we needed to go were so clear. We showed up a little early and our tour guide was still grooming and prepping the horses for the day, but she let us wander around and meet some of the horses. She was so kind and informative and did an amazing job leading our ride. She was patient and very clear in her instructions, and even though our ride was only 1 hour I feel like she went above and beyond to pack as much as she could into our hour ride! The service from Gunstock ranch was TOP NOTCH and I would HIGHLY recommend anybody to check it out. Even if the price seems a little high, it was so worth it and I can guarantee you will not regret making the trek out and taking a trail ride with Gunstock ranch. The location / area is so beautiful, we even saw a full and amazing rainbow the morning of our ride. If I could give this company / this ride 6 stars I would! I will definitely come back again next time we are on the island!

I participated in the trip with my sister!
We were the only Japanese participants among the attendees, and since the staff couldn't speak Japanese, I was a bit anxious at first. However, the staff explained things using gestures, simple English, and broken Japanese, so I didn't have any major issues.
They provided us with a guidebook that had the tour flow and precautions written in Japanese, so as long as you read that, there are no problems!

We went out to sea on a boat and once we arrived at the spot, we put on our snorkels and entered the cage.
Swimming with the sharks in the beautiful deep blue sea was more fun than I imagined!
You can bring an underwater camera or smartphone into the water, so you can take photos and videos with them in waterproof cases.

I usually don’t get seasick, but I took motion sickness medication just in case.
The boat rocked quite a bit, and some people looked a bit worn out...
I think the motion sickness medication is essential.

If you want to relax, that's great, but if you're looking for something a little different!
If just going to the beach or shopping isn't enough for you!

参加者の中で日本人は私たちのみ、さらにスタッフは日本語が話せないということで初めは少し不安もありましたが、スタッフの方はジェスチャーと簡単な英語、カタコトの日本語を交えながら説明や指示をしてくれるので特に困ることはありませんでした。

船で沖まで進み、スポットに到着するとシュノーケルをつけて檻の中へ。

想像以上に楽しかったです！
水中カメラやスマホも持って海に入れるので、防水ケースなどにいれて写真やムービーも撮れます。

普段乗り物酔いしない私も一応酔い止め薬を飲んで参加しました。
船は結構揺れたので、何人かぐったりしている方も…。
酔い止め薬は必須かと。

のんびり過ごすのもいいけど、ちょっと変わったことがしたい！
ビーチやショッピングだけでは物足りない！

There were two white people in the same time slot, but the two instructors staggered the groups a bit and led us separately, so we had a private group experience. Alex, who was in charge of us, had a great personality and provided us with information about the horses' names and personalities, as well as guidance throughout the ride. I could feel her love for the horses radiating from her, which made us feel happy too. We were blessed with good weather, took photos on a stunning beach, and had a very meaningful time connecting with nature. Jumping from 4000 meters above the clouds was exhilarating! After the parachute opened, the instructor explained the scenery, including Waikiki Beach and the North Shore, making it truly an extraordinary experience. However, towards the end, I got a bit dizzy from the turns, which is unfortunate due to my own constitution.

高度4000m、雲の上からのジャンプは気分爽快でした！パラシュートが開いてからは、インストラクターの方がワイキキビーチやノースショア等、景色の説明してくださり、本当に非日常の最高な時間でした。
ただ、最後の頃、旋回に酔ってしまったのが、自分の体質の問題ですが残念です。。

I got a bit lost at the entrance of the ranch, but I arrived safely and waited for about 30 minutes until everyone who signed up for the tour gathered. (You can touch the horses while waiting.) Once everyone was there, the staff explained how to ride and how to hold the reins, and then we each mounted the horses with their assistance. We rode in a line along a designated course at a slow pace, so even those with no riding experience could feel comfortable. The horses seemed well-trained and followed the instructions smoothly. We rode for just under an hour against the backdrop of Hawaii's magnificent scenery, and then we returned to the starting point to say goodbye to the staff before parting ways. It feels great when the weather is nice! While I'd love to ride in light clothing, long pants and sneakers are a must. If you're concerned about sunburn, I recommend bringing a light shirt. We encountered some rain on the way, but it was sunny during the ride, and I had a lot of fun! The horses were very soothing!

天気がいいととても気持ちいいです！
薄着で乗りたい所ですが長ズボンスニーカーは必須。日焼けが気になる方は薄手のシャツなどあるといいと思います。
行く途中雨に降られましたが、乗馬中は晴れていて楽しかったです！お馬さんにもいやされました！

The thrill of free-falling is the best!
When the parachute opened, it felt like I was suspended in mid-air.
I thought I would descend slowly, but instead, I started spinning around. I felt like I had to descend quickly due to time constraints, but I wanted to enjoy a slower descent and take in the view of the ground!
