As a commemoration of our honeymoon, we decided to give it a try! Before flying, I was quite timid (wondering why I made the reservation, haha). I was really anxious about the fear of dying or having an accident, but once we actually went, there were many Japanese participants, and the bus driver was fluent in Japanese, which made me feel at ease while diving!

However, since it was my first time overseas, I thought it would have been better to prepare tips in advance and learn more beforehand to avoid any last-minute rush. (It's also written on the voucher, so it's a good idea to read it carefully.)

【Things to Prepare in Advance】
1. Comfortable clothing (jeans, athletic shoes)

2. A copy of your passport
→ It's risky to lose the original.

3. A credit card
→ You need to choose either photo or video fees. Both are also acceptable. I chose the outside camera (where a photographer jumps with you to take pictures), which cost $141 per person.

4. Tips (about $50 per person)
→ The typical tip is around $10 for the driver, $10-$20 for the photographer, and $10-$20 for the instructor.
*Of course, if the service is good, you can give more!

Since my husband and I both jumped, we gave a total of about $100 in cash to each of them.
*The tips for the photographer and instructor were placed in a box at a designated area, so we didn't hand them directly!

Also, for the locker to store your belongings, you need four quarters (25 cents each), but there is a change machine, so if you have a $1 bill, you'll be fine! 😊

ハネムーンに来た記念で、挑戦してみました♪
飛ぶ前は、臆病なので(なんで予約したw)
死ぬ恐怖というか、事故に合わないか不安で仕方なかったんですが、
実際行ってみると、日本人の参加者も多くて、バスの運転手さんが日本語が堪能で、安心してダイビングすることができました♪

ただ、慣れない海外なので、チップを用意したり、事前にもっと知っておけば、バタバタせずに済んだかなーと思う点があったので、まとめます。
(バウチャー(予約票)にも書いてあるので、よく読んでおいた方がいいです)


【事前用意しておくと良いもの】
①動きやすい服装(ジーパン、運動靴)

②パスポートのコピー
→原本は無くすと危ないので。

③クレジットカード
→写真代、ビデオ代でどちらかは選ばないといけないので。両方も可。
私は、アウトサイドカメラ(カメラマンが一緒に飛んで撮ってくれる)だったので、1人当たり141＄しました。


④チップ(1人当たり、～50＄程)
→チップは、
運転手(10＄～)、カメラマン(10～20＄)、インストラクター(10～20＄)が相場だそうです。
※もちろんサービスが良ければもっと出しても良いと思います！

私は夫婦で飛んだので、合計で100＄程キャッシュ(現金)でそれぞれに渡しました。
※カメラマン、インストラクターさんのチップは、投票所のような場所に案内されて箱にいれたので、直接渡すわけではないです！

あと、荷物入れのロッカーですが、
25セント×4枚必要なのですが、両替機もあるので、1＄札があれば大丈夫ですよ♪(^^)

Canyon horseback riding 渓谷乗馬

I participated in the canyon horseback riding. I was a bit worried about staying on for 90 minutes without falling off, but I had no problems and enjoyed it thoroughly. The hungry horses took a detour to eat grass right away, but when I pulled the reins, they came back nicely. The 90 minutes flew by, and I would love to participate again if I get the chance.

The garlic shrimp for lunch was different from what I had eaten the last time I visited; it was a bento with shrimp. I was a bit disappointed by that. The time spent at Dole Plantation was short, and it felt more like a bathroom break at a drive-in. I felt like it might not have been necessary. A leisurely lunch in Haleiwa would have been better.

I chose the horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch offered by the travel agency because it was bundled with other attractions, thinking it would be simpler. The horseback riding was fun, but the other activities felt unimportant. I understand now that a tour focused solely on horseback riding wouldn't be feasible. I'll keep this in mind for next time. Thank you.

渓谷乗馬に参加しました。
90分落ちないでいられるか、少し心配でしたが、全く問題なく楽しく参加できました。
食いしん坊なお馬さん達は、直ぐに草を食べに寄り道しましたが、手綱をひくとちゃんと戻ってくれました。
90分があっという間で、また機会があったら参加したいです。
ランチのガーリックシュリンプは、以前行ったときに食べたものとは違い、エビ入り弁当でした。
これには少しがっかりでした。
ドールプランテーションも滞在時間が短くて、ドライブインでトイレ休憩みたいな感じでした。無くてもよかったような気がします。
ハレイワでゆっくりランチの方がいいですね。
旅行社オプショナルのクアロア牧場の乗馬が、他のアトラクションとセットだったので、こちらの方がシンプルかなと思い選びました。
乗馬は楽しかったのですが、他はどうでもいい感じでした。
乗馬だけのオプショナルツアーは成り立たないのだと理解しました。
次回の参考にします。

There was no feeling of floating at all; it felt like flying, and the views of the sea and mountains were beautiful, with a rainbow perfectly arched in the sky, creating a stunning sight. The instructors and photographers were also very cheerful and made the experience enjoyable.

In addition to horseback riding, I was able to spend a meaningful day visiting the Dole Plantation and Haleiwa Town.

At the Dole Plantation, there wasn't much time to stay, so I could only do a light stroll and some shopping at the shop.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any sea turtles.

In Haleiwa Town, I had garlic shrimp for lunch. It was plump and delicious. Since the town isn't very large, I enjoyed walking around the shops and strolling with a coffee in hand.

Horseback riding by the beach was refreshing and fun. All the horses are smart, so I think even beginners can enjoy riding.

I was disappointed by some misinformation regarding horseback riding. The website and voucher mentioned that there would be free lockers available at the riding area, so I planned to store my valuables like my camera in a locker. However, there were no lockers, and the guide told me to keep my valuables with me, which made me anxious. I recommend bringing a small bag, like a waist pouch, to hold your valuables.

乗馬の他に、ドールプランテーションやハレイワタウンの観光も付いていて有意義に一日を過ごす事が出来ました。

ドールプランテーションでは滞在時間がそんなにないので、軽い散策とショップでの買い物くらいしかできませんでした。

ウミガメは残念ながら見られませんでした。

ハレイワタウンでは、ガーリックシュリンプを昼食に食べました。
ぷりぷりでおいしかったです。
そんなに広くない街なので、歩いてショップめぐりをしたり、コーヒーを片手に散策したりと楽しめました。

海辺での乗馬は気持ちがよく、楽しかったです。
どの馬もかしこいので、初心者でも乗馬が楽しめると思います。

乗馬に関して、事前の情報違いがあり残念でした。
「乗馬場では鍵のかかるロッカー（無料）がございます」との説明文がホームページやバウチャーに記載されていたので、カメラなど貴重品をロッカー預けようと思っていましたが、実際にはロッカーは無く、ガイドに自分で貴重品を持つように言われて焦りました。
ウエストポーチなど、貴重品を入れられる小さめのバッグを持って行くことをお勧めします。

My first skydiving experience. I came to Hawaii last year, but I couldn't do it due to scheduling conflicts, so I was determined to make a comeback this time. However, the weather was unfortunately rainy... I was really anxious, thinking I might not be able to do it, but after waiting for about an hour, we suddenly took off when the sky cleared a bit!

The instructor and the cameraman were both really funny. We boarded the Cessna and headed up into the sky!! Before takeoff, I was so excited that I couldn't contain myself, but gradually I started to feel anxious... (after all, I have a fear of heights... but I love roller coasters!). When the door of the Cessna opened, there was no time to hesitate, and we jumped right into the open sky!!! I was the first one to jump, but others said, "Seeing someone fall from the plane is an indescribable feeling." Once we were flying, it was just pure fun. The moment we landed, I thought, "I want to jump again!" I intended to buy either a photo or a video as a keepsake, but both turned out so great that I ended up purchasing both! (It's definitely better to have the cameraman take the video). I want to jump again the next time I come to Hawaii!

初めてのスカイダイビング。昨年もハワイに来ましたが、予定が合わず出来なかったので絶対リベンジしたいと思っていました。しかし、天気はあいにくの雨…もしかしたら出来ないかも…とても不安でしたが1時間ほど待って、少し晴れたところでいきなり出発！
インストラクターさんもカメラマンさんとても面白い方でした。セスナ機に乗っていざ上空へ！！出発前までは楽しみすぎて楽しみすぎてしょうがなかった気持ちが、段々不安に…笑(なんせ、高所恐怖症なもので…でもジェットコースターとかは大好きです！)セスナ機の扉が開いたら、待ったと言う暇もないまま即大空へ！！！私は1番最初だったのですが、他の方は「人が落ちていく姿見るのはなんとも言えない気持ちだった」と仰ってました…笑。飛んでしまえば、ほんとに楽しいの一言でした。着地した瞬間、もう1回飛びたい！と思うほどでした。記念にと写真かビデオを買うつもりにしていましたが、どちらも撮ってくれていたので確認すると、どちらも良すぎて両方購入しました！(ビデオは絶対カメラマンさんに撮ってもらう方がいいです)また次、ハワイに来た時は飛びたいと思います！

I finally went skydiving with my mother! We signed up for the 9 AM session with round-trip hotel transportation, so I woke up at 4 AM and was picked up at the hotel at 5 AM as planned. After stopping at several hotels, there were about 12 people on the bus I was on. We arrived at the airfield in about an hour. There were already around 15 to 20 people there.

We watched a video and listened to explanations, and while waiting for our turn, we could relax freely. Groups of about six people went at a time, and we couldn't choose our order. My mother and I were in the last group, so we waited for about an hour and a half, but it wasn't a problem at all since we had snacks, took photos, and watched the dives of the previous groups, which helped us mentally prepare (laughs). If you finish your jump early, you still have to wait for the bus to leave, so it's good to have something to do. There are plenty of tables and chairs, so I recommend bringing snacks. They also had some for sale from a cart. All bags must be stored in a coin locker (you need four 25-cent coins).

When our turn came, we got on the helicopter and arrived at the jump point in about 10 to 15 minutes! Once we arrived, we jumped right away! No waiting! (laughs) If you wear contacts or glasses, they let you keep them on and provide goggles! I wore goggles too, but they were a bit tight, so my eyelash extensions got in the way, making it a little difficult to open my eyes. During free fall, it was hard to breathe, and my cheeks flapped, but it was the best experience ever!!! Just be sure to take motion sickness medication since there are a few turns during the second half. If I hadn't taken it, I might have gotten sick! (laughs)

I had ordered photos and videos, so after the jump, I checked the results. It seems you don't have to buy them if you don't like them, but they explained at the beginning that you can't skip buying both. I liked both, so I purchased the photos and videos for $460 (credit card payment is accepted). The data is provided on a USB! That was the end of it. On the way back, everyone was sleeping on the bus. We got back to our hotel in Waikiki before 11 AM, so we were able to rest a bit and still have plenty of time to enjoy the afternoon. I had heard that the jump could be canceled due to weather or that the wait times could be longer, so I was glad we had good weather and everything went smoothly. It became a lifelong memory.

ビデオを見たり説明を聞いて、順番がくるまでは自由に待機。1グループ6人ずつくらいで、順番は選べませんでした。わたしと母は最終グループだったので、1時間半くらい待ちましたが、持参した軽食を食べたり、写真を撮ったり、前のグループの人達のダイブを見ていたりしたので心の準備もゆっくりできて（笑）全然苦ではなかったです。(逆に早く飛び終わっても帰りのバスがすぐ出発するわけではないので、待ってないといけません)テーブルとイスがたくさんあるので、軽食を持参することをオススメします。ワゴン販売？で売ってもいました。荷物はすべてコインロッカーに預けます。(25セント硬貨×4枚必要)順番がきたらヘリに乗って約10分〜15分くらいでダイブするポイントに到着！着いたらもうすぐ飛びます！待ったナシ！笑 コンタクトやメガネのひとはつけたままでゴーグル貸してくれます！わたしもゴーグルしましたが、きつめにつけられるのでマツエクが当たって目が開けづらかったのでちょっと大変でした。フリーホール中は息がしづらかったり、ほっぺたビロビロなったけど、結果最高でした！！！ただ後半何回か旋回するので酔い止め必須です。飲まなかったら多分出てたかも！笑
わたしは写真とビデオを頼んでいたので、終わったあと、それぞれのできあがりを確認。気に入らなければ買わなくてもいいみたいですが、両方買わないはダメと最初に説明がありました。わたしは両方気にいったので写真もビデオも購入。460ドル。(クレジット払いOKです)データはUSBでもらえます！それで終了。帰りのバスはみんな寝てました。11時前にはワイキキのホテルに帰ってこれたので、少し休憩して午後からも十分遊べました。天候によっては中止になったり、待ち時間がもっと長くなったりもあると聞いていたので、天候にめぐまれてスムーズに終われて良かったです。一生の思い出になりました。

Horseback riding by the seaside was amazing. The tour company's guide taught us how to ride horses in detail, so even complete beginners had no problems. (On the other hand, the ranch staff spoke only English, so I couldn't understand anything. Without the guide's pre-ride briefing, would we have been able to ride at all?) After all, they are living creatures; the young women struggled as the horses seemed to underestimate them. This tour included a little sightseeing in Haleiwa, but it might be better to focus solely on horseback riding. (There were overlaps with other day tours.)

Our first time in Hawaii and skydiving as a couple.
We gathered at 4:30 AM and after an hour's drive, we arrived at the skydiving site.
With the dawn, we took off in a Cessna.
Is 4,000 meters really this high? (･･;)
When it was time to jump, the instructor pushed my back without giving me a choice (laughs).

I've always wanted to try skydiving. I decided to take the plunge for the memories of Hawaii!

There is an indescribable thrill that only those who have experienced it can understand. Jumping out of the Cessna felt like becoming a bird for a moment, and the sensation of swaying as the parachute opened, guided by the instructor, was incredible! The instructors were all fun and made it easy to relax and soar.

As you descend, you get to enjoy the stunning scenery. The emotions are unique to Hawaii. I'm so glad I took on this challenge! I want to jump again!

ずっとやってみたかったスカイダイビング。ハワイの思い出に…と思い切って挑戦しました！

これは体験した人でないと味わえない、何とも言えない感動があります。セスナから飛び出し、一瞬鳥になったような気分と、パラシュートが開いてからのインストラクターの操縦でゆらゆら揺れる感覚がたまりません！インストラクターの方々も楽しい方たちばかりでリラックスして羽ばたけます。

素晴らしい景色を眺めながら落下します。ハワイだからこその感動があります。挑戦して良かった

We enjoyed our circle island tour in Oct. this was a special occasion for us and our second trip to Oahu. We wanted to see more of the island this time and choose this tour because it had so many stops and was a full day trip. Our driver was very informative & very knowledgeable. We had a total of 11 people picked up from Honolulu for the morning course. After arriving and a brief explanation, we waited about an hour before the dive. It wasn't as long of a wait as I expected.

There was a staff member who was fluent in Japanese, so we were able to get by without any particular inconvenience. The instructor didn't speak Japanese, but what he was saying was simple, and he taught us using gestures, which made it reassuring.

Then we took off in the Cessna! Once the door opened, we dropped immediately. There were people waiting behind us to jump, so there was no time to say "Ah, scary!" (laughs). Skydiving really goes by in an instant, but there's no doubt it will be an amazing experience! The free fall was a bit breathless, but it lasts just a moment, so it's bearable (・ω・).

I was fine, but there were about two people who felt sick afterward. If you're prone to motion sickness, it might be wise to take some anti-nausea medication beforehand.

私達の時は午前中のコースでホノルルから計11人の送迎でした。到着して説明後一時間ほど待ちダイブ。思ったより待ちませんでした。

This is my second attempt this year! I finally got to fly! When I went in March, the weather was bad, and even though I woke up early, I ended up waiting for five hours only for it to be canceled and refunded. I participated in a plan that included transportation. The pickup was about 20 minutes late. After we got on, there were more pickups, but there was no place to stop, so we kept going around the same area, which I think caused the delay.

They come with a smaller microbus, which has a flashy zipline photo printed on it, making it easy to recognize. The ride lasts about an hour and a half.

Due to the influence of television, despite the reviews saying there are hardly any Japanese people, we went as a party of eight, consisting of four Japanese groups. There were three instructors, and everything was in English. However, we could communicate through gestures.

小さめのマイクロバスで来るのですが、ジップライン写真がプリントされていて派手なので分かりやすいと思います。
乗っている時間は1時間半くらいかな。

テレビの影響か、口コミはほとんど日本人がいないという割りに日本人4組の8人パーティで行いました。
インストラクターさんは3人で、全て英語です。でも、身ぶり手振りで意思疏通はできます。
途中で水分補給やトマト、バナナなど補給できるポイントがあります。

バギーで山頂?まで登って、そこからジップラインで下ってくるので景色は最高です!
距離は長いので1本の満足感はあると思います。でも、私は途中でちょっと飽きちゃいました(汗)

11時スタート、13時アップだったのですが帰りのドライバーさんがお腹減ったか聞いてくれて、途中にあるセブンイレブンに寄ってくれました。

チップはインストラクターにそれぞれ10＄ずつ渡しました。2組は渡してなかったと思います。ドライバーさんには渡していません。

インストラクターが要所要所でスマホで写真を撮ってくれていたにですが、後日メールで送ってきてくれて、データを販売してくれます。16カットで45＄でした。購入する前にもちろん確認出来るので、それを見るだけでも私は十分でした。

I struggled to choose from several shops, but I'm glad I did.

I personally am not very good with heights, and I usually can't handle fast rides or anything that involves falling, so I had some anxiety. However, the staff were friendly and took safety seriously, which allowed me to trust them.

Taking that first step to jump was scary, but the speed wasn't too intense, and once I got to see the breathtaking views, I felt completely fine! Since the staff communicated entirely in English, it was a bit challenging for us to understand with our limited English skills, but it was very reassuring that some Japanese participants in our team provided additional explanations.

I would love to participate again if I have the chance!

However, due to the impact of a recent typhoon, I had to cross a small river to get to the area where the horses could run. The horses couldn't cross, so I thought, "No way!" and decided to get a refund. As a result, I ended up on the same course as the complete beginners. The zip line experience was amazing. I had a great time. Although there was no Japanese support, I managed to get by. I was a bit worried since all the explanations were in English and I could only understand about one-third of it, but the staff kindly provided some words in Japanese and used gestures to help me navigate the course.

First, we put on the harness and helmet (they teach you properly) and practiced by sliding down a practice zip line. After that, we took a buggy to the course, which started at a pretty high point. The view was absolutely stunning, which was already impressive. The course gradually increased in difficulty from beginner to more challenging (the distance and steepness became greater, but as I got used to it, it became even more enjoyable), and finally, we reached what is said to be the longest zip line at 830 meters. I heard it was the longest in America (though my understanding of English is less than one-third).

I was able to enjoy the ride with a bit of ease, being able to look around. At the end, I was told to try various tricks (the staff demonstrated how to do it), so I attempted to go backwards and upside down. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Along the course, there were spots to learn about history, hydrate, and eat bananas and macadamia nuts. It was a zip line experience where you could climb and descend on your own while enjoying nature. It seems that this activity hasn't spread much among Japanese people yet, as I didn't see many others; there was only one other group. My team even included a foreigner who was about 70 years old, so I think it's something that people of various ages can enjoy.

最初にハーネスとヘルメットを装着（ちゃんと教えてくれます）して練習ジップラインを実際にはすべり下りる。
その後、バギーでコースへ出発、結構登った所が出発点です。景色がすっごく良いです。これだけで感動。初級向けから徐々に難しくなって（距離や斜度が急になってきますが、慣れて来てもっと楽しくなってくる）遂に８３０mあるそうですが最長のジップラインに来ます。アメリカで1番長いと聴こえました（私の１／３以下の英語理解ですが）。ちょっと余裕で（周りが見られるようになる）楽しく降りることができました。
最後はいろいろアレンジしろと言われ（スタッフが演技して降りるので分かります）背面、逆さまに挑戦しました。皆さんにもオススメします。
コースの途中には歴史や水分補給、バナナ、マカデミアの食べるところもあり、自力でロープを登ったり、降りたり、自然を満喫しながらのジップラインです。
まだあまり日本人には広がってないのか余り見かけませんでした、ほかのチームでも1組くらいしか入ってなかった。わたしのチームには70歳くらいの外人さんも入っていたので、結構年いっても出来るかと思いました。
