We participated as a couple. The woman guiding us was calm and reassuring. We enjoyed a leisurely one-hour walk along a designated route overseas. Although it was November, the weather across the North Shore was poor that day, with occasional light rain.

On the day of the flight, the weather was great from the morning, with visibility over 15 miles and wind speeds below 10 knots, making it perfect flying weather. I heard that flights had been canceled due to strong winds until the day before, so we were very lucky. I was very satisfied to have control for a long time from around Hanauma Bay to above Pearl Harbor. I believe the stable weather and air currents contributed to this experience. If I have the opportunity again, I would love to do it.

当日は朝から天候も良く、視程15mile以上風速は10kt以下と絶好のフライト日和でした。
前日まで強風によるフライトキャンセルが続いていたと聞き我々の運の良さにも救われました。
ハナウマ湾手前辺りからパールハーバー上空まで長い時間コントロールさせて頂き、大変満足しました。天候、気流共に安定していたことが良かったのだと思いました。また機会があれば、やってみたいと思います。

My first skydiving experience became the best memory!

Since I participated alone, I requested a tour with transportation. When I arrived at the designated location at 6:50 AM, the guide came to pick me up. It was a coincidence, but the staff spoke Japanese, and we had a fun conversation on the way.

Upon arrival, I checked in using an iPad. Everything was in English, but it mainly covered the content that if you get injured, it's your own responsibility. If you don't understand, the staff can explain the general content in Japanese.

It seems that there is a set order for jumping, so I waited until I was called. インストラクターさんからも飛んだあとのフォームのレクチャーを受けます。指示出しは日本語でしてくれました！

セスナに搭乗し、いざ空へ！
最初のダイバーが飛んだらそれに続いてポンポン飛んでいったので、怖いと思う暇もなく飛び降りて、逆に楽しさしかありませんでした！
1分くらいのフリーフォールらしいですが体感はもっと長かった気がしました。
そこからパラシュートが、開いてくるくる回りながら降下！これはインストラクターさんによるかもですが、くるくる回るの楽しい〜！って言ってたらめっちゃしてくれました笑
たぶん怖がってたらゆーたり降りてくれると思います笑

終わったらスカイダイビングの認定証みたいなのをくれます。そして、感想を書く用紙と封筒をくれるので日本語でメッセージを書きインストラクターさんへのチップを封筒に入れて、ボックスへ投函。

私は帰りの送迎も頼んでいたので、ちょうど終わったタイミングで、乗れることになりました。
(飛ぶ順番によっては待つかも？)
帰りは現地スタッフの方だったので、話されるのは英語。私は流暢に英語は喋れないので車の中で仮眠してました。
予定時間通りに最初のピックアップ場所に到着！そして、そのまま解散です。

内容としてはとても満足でした！
人生で一度はスカイダイビングをしてみたいと思っていて、ハワイの空と海をバックにできて素晴らしかったです！

The pilot who flew with us was a woman named Sharon. I'm grateful for her clear English during our conversation. After we ascended, I took turns operating the controls with her.

Controlling the airplane under a clear sky with no wind was surprisingly easy. I got busy taking pictures of the scenery and ended up leaving the controls to her.

We happened to see a forest fire and were able to observe the helicopters conducting firefighting operations from above.

What was supposed to be a one-hour flight turned into a wait of nearly an hour circling north of Pearl Harbor due to heavy traffic at the airport. It seems that it's rare to wait so long for landing permission. We safely landed on a different runway while watching large aircraft land below us.

We returned to the office two hours after we left. My wife, who dislikes small planes, was waiting at the office but had grown tired of waiting. It wasn't my fault or Sharon's!!

Personally, I felt lucky!? However, I think there were many customers already waiting at the office for their turn to fly, which must have made the subsequent operations quite challenging.

The participation fee is a bit high, but it's a rare experience to fly an airplane by your own will. We ended up leaving the airfield an hour late, which meant we had to skip our next plans, but it was a highly satisfying tour.

事務所に戻ったのは出てから２時間後だった。小型機嫌いの家内は事務所で待っていたが待ちくたびれて，，。私のせいでもシャロンのせいでもありませんから！！。
個人的にはラッキー！？だったが，事務所には既に後に乗る予定のお客さんが大勢待っており，その後のオペレーションが大変だったのでは，と思う。
参加費は少々お高いが，飛行機を自分の意志で飛ばすなんて滅多にできない体験。

Royal Star Grand Circle Island Tour - East Oahu, Pali Lookout, Haleiwa & Dole

We had a fantastic experience in the grand circle island tour. We got to see almost all the best attraction points in Oahu, with plenty of opportunities for food and souvenirs. The best part of the tour is probably that we get to really relax and pay full attention to the views, without having to worry about itineraries or directions. Coincidentally we did a self-drive over a very similar route last time we visited, and the experience is far better this time around with the tour. I think we also got very lucky with our driver and guide Kimo. He was both knowledgeable about everything in Hawaii, and great at storytelling along the way. He also dealt with a couple of unexpected issues caused by other traveler groups very fast and smoothly. Would recommend overall.

I was excited to sign up for a tour with my son to play in the pool at Waimea Falls. On the day of the tour, a friendly guide provided explanations in both English and Japanese. We arrived smoothly at the botanical garden where Waimea Falls is located, but it was revealed at the entrance that swimming in the falls was not allowed. Still, we hoped to see the falls and made our way while receiving explanations about the plants. I had a bad feeling when we reached a spot that I thought was a river with no flowing water, but as we continued deeper, we arrived at a completely dry pool. It was clear that there hadn't been rain for a while. The pool was murky and definitely not suitable for swimming. We were told that the lifeguard would make a decision about swimming at 9 AM that morning, so we wouldn't know until we came, but if the tour company had checked with the botanical garden the day before, they would have known about the condition of the falls.

I regretted participating in the tour early in the morning just to see a dried-up waterfall. The guide took us to a nearby beach, and although we were able to swim in the ocean for a short time, my goal of swimming in the pool while viewing the waterfall was not fulfilled. 枯れた滝を見るために早朝からツアーに参加し、後悔しました。ガイドさんが近くのビーチに連れて行ってくださり、短時間でしたが海で泳ぐ事が出来ましたが、海ではなく滝をみながら滝つぼで泳ぎたいっていう目的は叶いませんでした。せめて、前日に滝が見れないけど参加するかどうか連絡して欲しかった。
ガイドさんは良いけど、誠実さが感じられないツアー会社でした。

I was able to tour the North Shore for just over three hours, and it was really great. However, since I was participating alone, I felt some frustration with the driver's attitude and strong tone from the beginning.

I was secured with a three-point seatbelt in the left rear window seat, and the pilot's skillful handling made it generally stable. However, when we hit turbulence, I felt the seatback being pushed, which was a bit scary at first. But the amazing views quickly made me accustomed to it.

It says to bring a jacket, but you can borrow a hoodie. They also lent me a smartphone case to hang around my neck. Our tour guide Stephanie was awesome, she made the tour fun and added some extra stops that we really appreciated . I would say that the hike at diamond head was harder then I thought it would be, but the view are worth it .

The staff was very good and patient, the horses were fine, even for the beginners, the ride was great. We had a great time and I think the 1.5 hours was just about the right timeframe. One issue I found was that when the wrangler leading a group is at the front and trying to talk to the group, it was almost impossible to understand them from the back of the group (we had 5 in our group). Don't know the answer other than having a wrangler both in front and at the rear of the group, but I know I missed out on much of the discussion.

The meeting point is at the back of the airport. If you're coming from a hotel around Waikiki, you can take an Uber or a taxi. It usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes if traffic is light. However, during busy times (like weekday mornings), it could take twice as long. I took about 40 minutes to get there from the Marriott Resort (near the zoo) on a weekday morning. I was a bit late, but I contacted them in advance and it was okay.

After arriving, we received a brief explanation. It can be a bit chilly up in the air (around 15 to 20 degrees in October), so it's good to have long sleeves and long pants (even if they're thin). Beach sandals might fly off, so it's better to wear sneakers or something that won't easily come off (worst case, you'll be barefoot). It's bright up there, so sunglasses are recommended. You can take photos with your smartphone or camera. They provide special straps to prevent dropping your devices, so there's no need to bring your own. Since it was my return day, I brought my suitcase, but they kept it indoors for me. However, for security reasons, it's recommended to put valuables in a locker. They also provided hair ties for those with long hair.

After that, we watched a video explanation and headed to the helicopter. There were four of us, including my spouse, with two in the back and two in the front. その後動画で説明を聞いて、ヘリへ。我々夫婦含めお客は4名で、後ろ2名、前2名。我々はラッキーなことに前(おそらくファーストクラスと同等)に乗車。騒音のためにヘッドセット着用。パイロットが上空で無線で色々と案内をしてくれます。

上空の旅は約50分、窓側の人はドアがないので少々恐怖を感じるも私はあまり感じず楽しめました。体や手を外に出すなと注意されていましたが、風がまるでコンクリートの壁ようで、出そうにも室内に跳ね返されるので実質無理。揺れはあまり感じず、優雅な旅に。goproで様々なスポットを撮影できました。

終了後、乗車前に取ってくれた写真と、旅中に室内を撮影された動画がモニターに映され、写真35$、動画65$、両方で85$(値段は変更の可能性有)で購入可能。写真購入し、メルアドを教えることでデータを共有いただけます。

感想：
旅の最終日に行ったのですが、個人的には大正解でした。行った場所を上空から見ることで、あーここに行ったのかー、ワイキキから結構遠いんだなーとか、上から見るとこんなにきれいなのかーとか、ここでUber拾ったなーなんて、思い出と照らし合わせながら楽しめます。英語が得意な方は上空のパイロットの説明を聞いてると様々が知識が得られます(私は苦手&無線は厳しいため、後で妻から教えてもらいました)。写真はとてもきれいで、少々高くても思い出に購入してもいいかと。動画は自身で撮影してなければ購入してもいいと思います。

スタッフは全員とてもフレンドリーです。遅れて行ってもとても丁寧に案内していただき、地上でも上空でも常に明るく親切にしていただきました。

終了後、もしそのまま空港に行かれる場合は、徒歩で50分ほどかかると出ましたので、Uberかタクシーが必須です。

決して安いアクティビティではありませんが、それでも体験する価値が大変あると思います。
