We had a fantastic experience in the grand circle island tour. We got to see almost all the best attraction points in Oahu, with plenty of opportunities for food and souvenirs. The best part of the tour is probably that we get to really relax and pay full attention to the views, without having to worry about itineraries or directions. Coincidentally we did a self-drive over a very similar route last time we visited, and the experience is far better this time around with the tour. I think we also got very lucky with our driver and guide Kimo. He was both knowledgeable about everything in Hawaii, and great at storytelling along the way. He also dealt with a couple of unexpected issues caused by other traveler groups very fast and smoothly. Would recommend overall.

The person who came to pick us up was the owner from Kansai, and they were very kind and attentive. They shared stories about Hawaii, how they obtained their green card, their experience starting a business in Japan, and talked about their wife; they were very friendly and charming. The flight itself was also great, as we spent just under an hour flying over Oahu's tourist spots, and I was very satisfied. It is on the pricier side among activities, but it became a precious memory for my family. Thank you very much. Even if you can't speak English, there are friendly Japanese staff, so you can enjoy it without any worries! Definitely give flying in Hawaii a try.

I participated alone, but it was the best experience and I was very satisfied!!! I was secured with a three-point seatbelt in the left rear window seat, and the pilot's skillful handling made it generally stable. However, when we hit turbulence, I felt the seatback being pushed, which was a bit scary at first. But the amazing views quickly made me accustomed to it.

It says to bring a jacket, but you can borrow a hoodie. They also lent me a smartphone case to hang around my neck. It's okay if you don't understand the language too well since you watch a video beforehand. I signed up for the 30-minute course, but it turned into a one-hour course at no extra charge. If your schedule is tight, it might be good to check in advance.

After arriving at the airport, we received explanations in Japanese at the office! No problem if you can't speak English!

Now, onto the flight.

The 60-minute flight went by in no time. Although the announcements were in English, they introduced famous spots as we flew over them, and I was able to understand with simple words.

The staff was very good and patient, the horses were fine, even for the beginners, the ride was great. We had a great time and I think the 1.5 hours was just about the right timeframe. One issue I found was that when the wrangler leading a group is at the front and trying to talk to the group, it was almost impossible to understand them from the back of the group (we had 5 in our group). Don't know the answer other than having a wrangler both in front and at the rear of the group, but I know I missed out on much of the discussion.

Overview:
The meeting point is at the back of the airport. If you're coming from a hotel around Waikiki, you can take an Uber or a taxi. It usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes if traffic is light. However, during busy times (like weekday mornings), it could take twice as long. I took about 40 minutes to get there from the Marriott Resort (near the zoo) on a weekday morning. I was a bit late, but I contacted them in advance and it was okay.

After arriving, we received a brief explanation. It can be a bit chilly up in the air (around 15 to 20 degrees in October), so it's good to have long sleeves and long pants (even if they're thin). Beach sandals might fly off, so it's better to wear sneakers or something that won't easily come off (worst case, you'll be barefoot). It's bright up there, so sunglasses are recommended. You can take photos with your smartphone or camera. They provide special straps to prevent dropping your devices, so there's no need to bring your own. Since it was my return day, I brought my suitcase, but they kept it indoors for me. However, for security reasons, it's recommended to put valuables in a locker. They also provided hair ties for those with long hair.

After that, we watched a video explanation and headed to the helicopter. There were four of us, including my spouse, with two in the back and two in the front. We were lucky to sit in the front (which is probably equivalent to first class). Due to the noise, we wore headsets. The pilot provided various information via radio while we were in the air.

The aerial journey lasted about 50 minutes. Those sitting by the window might feel a bit scared since there's no door, but I enjoyed it without much fear. We were warned not to stick our bodies or hands outside, but the wind felt like a concrete wall, so it was practically impossible to do so. There was little turbulence, making for a graceful trip. I was able to capture various spots with my GoPro.

After the flight, they showed us the photos taken before boarding and the video recorded during the trip on a monitor. You can purchase the photos for $35, the video for $65, or both for $85 (prices may vary). I bought the photos and shared my email address to receive the data.

Impressions:
I went on the last day of my trip, and personally, it was a great decision. Seeing the places from above allowed me to reflect on my memories, like realizing how far it is from Waikiki or how beautiful everything looks from above. If you're good at English, listening to the pilot's explanations can provide a lot of knowledge (I struggled with it and had my wife explain later). The photos are very beautiful, and even if they're a bit pricey, I think it's worth purchasing them as a memory. If you haven't filmed yourself, buying the video might also be a good idea.

All the staff were very friendly. Even when I arrived late, they guided me very politely, and they were always bright and kind both on the ground and in the air.

After the flight, if you're heading straight to the airport, it takes about 50 minutes on foot, so an Uber or taxi is essential.

It's definitely not a cheap activity, but I believe it's an experience worth having.

その後動画で説明を聞いて、ヘリへ。我々夫婦含めお客は4名で、後ろ2名、前2名。我々はラッキーなことに前(おそらくファーストクラスと同等)に乗車。騒音のためにヘッドセット着用。パイロットが上空で無線で色々と案内をしてくれます。

上空の旅は約50分、窓側の人はドアがないので少々恐怖を感じるも私はあまり感じず楽しめました。体や手を外に出すなと注意されていましたが、風がまるでコンクリートの壁ようで、出そうにも室内に跳ね返されるので実質無理。揺れはあまり感じず、優雅な旅に。goproで様々なスポットを撮影できました。

終了後、乗車前に取ってくれた写真と、旅中に室内を撮影された動画がモニターに映され、写真35$、動画65$、両方で85$(値段は変更の可能性有)で購入可能。写真購入し、メルアドを教えることでデータを共有いただけます。

感想：
旅の最終日に行ったのですが、個人的には大正解でした。行った場所を上空から見ることで、あーここに行ったのかー、ワイキキから結構遠いんだなーとか、上から見るとこんなにきれいなのかーとか、ここでUber拾ったなーなんて、思い出と照らし合わせながら楽しめます。英語が得意な方は上空のパイロットの説明を聞いてると様々が知識が得られます(私は苦手&無線は厳しいため、後で妻から教えてもらいました)。写真はとてもきれいで、少々高くても思い出に購入してもいいかと。動画は自身で撮影してなければ購入してもいいと思います。

スタッフは全員とてもフレンドリーです。遅れて行ってもとても丁寧に案内していただき、地上でも上空でも常に明るく親切にしていただきました。

終了後、もしそのまま空港に行かれる場合は、徒歩で50分ほどかかると出ましたので、Uberかタクシーが必須です。

決して安いアクティビティではありませんが、それでも体験する価値が大変あると思います。

Considering the transportation, costs, and time spent in Hawaii, I honestly hesitated before making the reservation. However, my experience was truly amazing, and I was able to enjoy a luxurious time in Hawaii! The scenery and interaction with the horses were unique, and I felt genuinely healed while riding and feeling the warmth of the horses (*^^*).

We debated on transportation, but we decided to rent a car. We were able to stop by shops in Haleiwa and enjoy garlic shrimp from a food truck (it was emotional to have it again after 15 years!) and also visited the Dole Plantation, making for a very fulfilling day that included horseback riding. The instructor spoke entirely in English, but explained things clearly with gestures. The horses were very well-behaved, and we enjoyed a relaxed ride while only lightly holding the reins (^^).

The entrance by car was a bit tricky to find, but once you see the arena, slow down a bit, and you'll find the gate. After entering through the first large gate, you'll soon see the horses. We changed into shoes in the car (my husband wore sneakers, while my daughter and I wore compact flat shoes with belts to avoid bulky luggage) and prepared by signing in and borrowing helmets and storage for our belongings. The storage was a pocket-style that could be placed on the horse's back, fitting a phone, camera, and even a small water bottle. We also got to take photos by the beach, which made for wonderful memories! (The instructor called out at just the right moments.)

We wore long pants, but there was no worry about getting dirty while riding, so we could go shopping afterward. (Since there was a bit of sand blowing, it might be a good idea to bring a change of clothes if you're concerned.) The daytime was fantastic, but I imagine the sunset would offer even more beautiful scenery, so I hope to experience it again!

The theme of this trip was to experience things that can only be done in Hawaii, and this horseback riding experience was perfect for that, creating the best memories for our family! Thank you so much to the wonderful instructor and the adorable horses ( ´ ▽ ` ) mahalo!

移動手段で悩みましたが私達はレンタカーで向かい、ハレイワのお店やワゴンのガーリックシュリンプ(15年振りに食べれてそれも感動でした！)やドールプランテーションにも立ち寄れたので乗馬を含めとても充実した1日になりました。
先生はオール英語ではありますが、ジェスチャーなども交えながら分かりやすく説明してくれます。先生についていく感じで本当にお利口なお馬さん達でこちらは手綱を軽く持つ程度でゆったり乗馬を楽しめました(^^)
車での入り口が少し分かりづらいですが競技場がみえてきたら少しゆっくり走行していくとゲートがあり1つ目の大きなゲートの次のところを入っていくとすぐお馬達がみえる感じです。車で靴をシューズ(主人はスニーカー、私と娘は荷物がかさばらないよう少しコンパクトになるベルト付きのフラットシューズ)に履き替え、乗る前にサイン、ヘルメットと荷物入れを借りて準備します。荷物入れはお馬さんの背中に置かせてもらえるポケット式のもので携帯やカメラ、小さいものであれば水筒も入るサイズです。途中浜辺のところで写真も撮ってもらえて最高の記念になりました！！(程よいタイミングで先生が声を掛けてくれます)
服装は長ズボンになりますが乗った際に汚れてしまうようなことはなくそのまま買い物などできました。(若干砂が舞うので気になる方は着替えを持参されるといいかもです)
日中も最高でしたがサンセットの時間はさらにいい風景なのだろうと思うので、また体験できたらと思いました！

ハワイでしか体験できないことをが今回の旅行のテーマだったので、こちらでの乗馬体験はまさしくそれにぴったりで、家族の最高の思い出になりました！！
素敵な先生、そして可愛いお馬さん達、本当にありがとうございました( ´ ▽ ` )mahalo！

It was the best of the best experience for skydiving! The scenery and location were good, the staff were kind, and I was able to capture it in photos and videos. I also received a lot of T-shirts and commemorative goods, which was great. If I had to say something, it would have been nice to speak more English, and it would have been even better if they had reminded me to face the camera more during the video shoot, haha. It's a bit selfish, but more than anything, I'm glad I had such an amazing experience, so I highly recommend it, and I strongly want to try skydiving in another location!!!

Two Japanese women in their 30s (English: both at a conversational level) went on this tour! We started at 9 AM and encountered a total of six sharks! It was so much fun!! The staff were cheerful and energetic from the morning! Great smiles! They were kind! One of them spoke Japanese very well and explained everything in Japanese, which made us feel at ease.

I hope the following information is helpful:
▶ We took an Uber taxi to the designated location in the North Shore (it was about $60 from Waikiki).
* I think other participants also took a taxi.
* There is a bus that goes from Ala Moana Center, platform 52, to the North Shore, so you can also take the bus (it costs $3 and takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes).
▶ The waves are big and strong, so it's better to take motion sickness medication◎

Since it's the North Shore, we were navigating through quite rough waves. There were no other Japanese people besides us, and although our English is not great, we managed somehow. Once we entered the water, there were more than ten sharks around, each about 2 meters long. My daughter was super excited! It was truly a valuable experience. On the way back, even though I took motion sickness medication, I ended up feeling nauseous. There were others besides me who also felt unwell.

ノースショアなので結構な荒波の中を進んで行きます。私たち以外、日本人はおらず、私たちも英語は全然だめですが、なんとかなります。いざ、海の中へ入ると2メートル級のサメが10匹以上ウロウロしていました。娘も大興奮！本当に貴重な体験でした。帰りは酔い止めを飲んでいても吐きました。私以外にも気分が悪くなっておられる方がいました。

I traveled alone to Hawaii for the first time in my life and made a reservation for skydiving, which was one of my main goals.

Since I didn't rent a car, the shuttle service was a deciding factor for me.

The man who picked me up spoke Japanese well and shared information about Hawaii's history and recommended spots during the hour-long drive, making it feel like a fun guided tour!

Once I arrived, there was no one who spoke Japanese, so I was grateful that the man who picked me up acted as my interpreter.

Due to various regulations and weather conditions, there was a bit of a wait, but after receiving the briefing, we headed straight up into the sky for skydiving!

Before I could even think about being scared, it felt like I was just jumping right in, so there was no time to feel fear—it was over in a flash!

The scenery was incredibly beautiful, and it was a view only those who have jumped can see. I'm really glad I did it!

It was so amazing that even after it was over, I couldn't stop smiling!

If you're coming to Hawaii, I definitely recommend doing this!

I chose a course where the instructor took photos and videos, and they sent me a well-edited video along with a considerable number of photos. The quality was worth the price, so if you have the budget, go for it!

Also, it's a good idea to prepare tips of about $10 for the driver and $20 to $30 for the instructor.

レンタカーも借りてなかったので
送迎付きが決め手のポイントになりました。

迎えにきてくれた男性は日本語が上手で
現地に向かうまでハワイの歴史やおすすめスポットなど教えてくれて１時間ぐらい案内のドライブみたいでたのしかったです！

現地についてからは日本語が通じる方がいなかったので
迎えにきてくれた男性に通訳してもらい助かりました。

様々な決まりや天候の関係などで
少し待ち時間はありましたが
説明を受けたあとすぐに上空へ向かい
スカイダイビングしました！

怖いとか考えてる前に
ぽんぽん飛び込んでいく感じなので
怖さを感じてる暇なくあっというまでした！

景色もすごく綺麗で
飛んだ人にしか見れない景色ですが
ほんとに飛んでよかったです！


最高すぎて終わっても
ずっと笑顔でいれました！

ハワイに来たのならぜひやって欲しいです！

今回は写真と動画をインストラクターさんが撮ってくれるコースにしたんですが
ちゃんと編集してくれた動画と、かなりの枚数の写真が送られてきます。
お値段相応ぐらいしっかりしてるので
予算がある方はぜひ！

あとは
ドライバーさんに10$程度
インストラクターさんに20〜30＄程度の
チップが必要なので用意しておくほうがいいです。

I went with a group that barely understood English, but we managed to communicate using Google Translate and gestures, and we took on our first skydiving experience. The wait time before boarding was a bit long, but the skydiving itself was amazing with beautiful scenery. The moment we jumped out of the plane was truly exhilarating.

What a beautiful display of culture. The meal was more then anyone could hope for. If time would have permitted we definitely would have attended again.

The scenery is, without a doubt, amazing. The mountains, including Diamond Head, are breathtaking when viewed from above, with their unique topography. Photos and videos are taken by helicopter and sold for $85. It was a bit pricey, but I purchased it as a keepsake. I was that satisfied!

I participated in the tour that started at 9:30 AM. Since we were told to meet on-site and check in 30 minutes early, I left my hotel in Waikiki at 7 AM with plenty of time, heading towards Haleiwa. The drive from Waikiki to the freeway was a bit congested, but after that, it was smooth sailing. I arrived around 8 AM near the North Shore and stopped by the 7-Eleven in Haleiwa for breakfast. (They sell pasta, hand rolls, and sandwiches similar to those in Japan.) I reached the harbor parking lot by 8:30 AM. After parking in a spot of my choice, I checked in at a small hut marked 'North Shore Adventures.' When I provided my last name, I was informed in English that "there is no restroom on the boat, so please take care of that in the brown building over there," and "wait around the pink hut until it's time." By the way, this tour company owns four boats, which have Japanese names like 'Kaiou' and 'Abunai.' This time, we were on the boat called 'Kanpai,' and fortunately, the captain was a Japanese person from Kumamoto (I believe his name was Reese; I apologize if I'm mistaken), who communicated with us entirely in Japanese. Once everyone was gathered, we set sail even before the scheduled time. We took off our sandals, placed them in a black box, and boarded barefoot, choosing our seats. After that, the staff provided explanations in English, mainly about "rules on the boat," "shark information," and "group division." This time, everyone except us was foreign, and we were divided into two groups of six, totaling 12 people. It took about 15 minutes to reach the site, and we arrived in no time. As many have mentioned, it does sway quite a bit, so motion sickness medication is a must. (It's not too bad while moving, but after the engine stops, the cage is directly affected by the waves.) If you forget, there is a 24-hour drugstore (Longs Drugs) in Waikiki where you can find "motion sickness" medication. After putting on our snorkels, we descended into the cage using a ladder while holding a GoPro. There were quite a few sharks. They passed right in front of us one after another, so take your time to get into position before starting to film. They are a docile type of shark, so they won't attack. After enjoying it for about 20 minutes, we switched with the next group and waited on the boat. There are no changing rooms on the boat, so we headed back in our swimsuits. This time, we returned to port at 11:30 AM, making it a very compact activity of about two hours from departure to return. If you choose an early morning tour, you'll have the entire afternoon free for exploring Haleiwa Town, shopping, or driving along the coastline, making for a meaningful day. 朝9時半スタートの回に参加しました。現地集合、30分前にチェックインとのことでしたので、時間に余裕を持ってワイキキのホテルを朝7時にレンタカーで出発、ハレイワへ向かいました。ワイキキからフリーウェイまでは多少混みますが後はスイスイ、８時過ぎにはノースショア辺りへ到着、ハレイワのセブンイレブンに寄り朝食をとりました。（日本のセブンに近いパスタや手巻き、サンドイッチが売られています。）8時半にはハーバーの駐車場へ到着。好きな駐車スペースへ停めた後『North Shore Adventures』と書かれた小さな小屋で受付です。ラストネーム（苗字）を伝えると英語で「船にはトイレが無いからあそこの茶色い建物で済ませておくこと」、「時間までピンクの小屋周辺で待機すること」など伝えられます。ちなみにこちらの催行会社では船を４隻所有しており、『海王』や『危ない』など日本語の名前が付いています。今回は『乾杯』という船でしたが、たまたま運よくキャプテンが熊本出身の日本語の方（おそらくReeseさん、違っていたらごめんなさい。）で終始日本語で対応して頂けました。全員揃い次第、時間前でも出航です。サンダルを脱いで黒い箱に入れ裸足で乗船、好きな席へ座ります。その後スタッフから英語で説明、主に「船でのルール」「サメの説明」「グループ分け」についてです。今回は私たち以外は全員外国の方で全部で12名、6名ずつの２グループに分けられました。出航から現場まで15分ほど、あっという間に到着します。皆さん書いている通りかなり揺れますので酔い止め必須です。（走行時はそうでも無いですがエンジン停止後と、ケージが海面のため波の影響をもろに受ける）。もし忘れた場合、ワイキキには24時間営業のドラッグストア（Longs Drugs）がありますのでそこで「motion sickness」で探せば見つかります。シュノーケル着用後、GoProを持ってケージの中へハシゴで降ります。サメはかなりの数います。次から次へと目の前を通り過ぎるので、焦らずしっかり体勢を整えてから動画撮影開始です。おとなしい種類のサメですのでもちろん襲ってきたりはしません。約20分ほど楽しんだ後次グループと交代、船へ上がって待機です。船には更衣室はありませんので、水着のまま帰路に付きます。今回は帰港時11:30、出航から帰港まで約２時間の大変コンパクトなアクティビティでした。午前早目の回を選べば午後はまるまる空きますのでハレイワタウン散策やお買い物、海岸線をドライブなど有意義な１日を過ごせると思います。総合的に今回のオアフ島旅行で一番の思い出になりました。かなりお勧めだと思います。ありがとうございました。

This was by far the best tour I have been on in a long time. Driver Danny was a wealth of knowledge and freely shared his experience of the island in a friendly and easy manner.

A small breakfast treat by the blow hole was unexpected, but was a great way to see the blow hole and beach.

Danny's suggestion of dole whip was spot on and I hope that makes its way to Australia soon. Yummmm
