I love Jurassic Park and have always wanted to visit this place. It all started when the theme song began to play on the bus! It was an English tour, but I always choose English tours no matter the country, and I really enjoy the friendly atmosphere with the other international guests. The guide was also proactive in taking photos, which made me, as a solo tour participant, very happy!

This tour is a must for both movie lovers and nature enthusiasts when visiting Hawaii.

I have experienced five tours at Kualoa Ranch. I took the movie bus twice, went horseback riding, and did zip-lining. I highly recommend it. You can enjoy the scenery and points at a more leisurely pace compared to the bus tour. If you can ride a bike, you can move around effortlessly with the electric assist, which reduces fatigue and keeps you clean. I definitely want to participate again on my next trip with my nieces and nephews, but I'm only worried about the rain.

It was amazing to enjoy two hours of horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch! The initial meeting place and other explanations were provided by a Japanese person, and from the actual horseback riding onward, the guide spoke only in English. They communicated directions like "left" and "right" in Japanese, but everything else was explained in English! (I think it might vary depending on which guide you get.)

The horses each seemed to have different personalities, and it appeared that the order in which they walked the course changed depending on the day. I was at the front, but the guide didn't always walk right in front of me, so there were times when I had to properly control the reins and change direction myself!

The horses were very smart, and I was able to enjoy the natural surroundings and horseback riding in a relaxed manner for the full two hours! The items you can bring while riding are drinks and smartphones, but you are advised to never let go of the reins with your left hand for the entire two hours. So, basically, you will be drinking water or using your smartphone with one hand! You also need to be careful not to drop your smartphone, as you can't pick it up while riding!

This is a tour that you definitely want to join if you have a Japanese driver's license! The time, content, scenery, and guide are all fantastic, and you can enjoy it even if you don't speak English! The sand and dust are intense, and you'll end up completely covered in dirt afterward. Other activities also look fun, but this one is more than enough. In the afternoon, a stroll around Waikiki might be nice.

I was a bit anxious because my English isn't very good, but when I arrived, the Japanese staff explained the meeting point for the tour, the location of the restrooms, and what to bring. The staff for the horseback riding tour spoke English, but some of them spoke a little Japanese and used simple words to make things clear, which was very kind of them. There was also a Japanese video prepared for the horseback riding instructions.
The horses are very smart and will move and stop in sync with the horse in front of them without needing much direction from us.
However, each horse seems to have its own personality; the horse I rode wanted to eat grass right away, making it difficult to pull on the reins, and my arms started to hurt. I was a bit scared that it would lean forward to eat grass and I might fall off.
The scenery was beautiful, and the experience of horseback riding in nature was a valuable one.

I think you'll enjoy it even more if you watch Jurassic Park before you go! Driving on rough roads is a lot of fun, but if you're not a fan of dust, it's a good idea to bring a poncho or something similar, as it can get quite dirty. Even though I got dirty, it was a very satisfying experience, so definitely ride the buggy! ✨

Even though I was overseas, time seemed to move on as usual here. Before getting on the boat at Kaneohe Bay, we encountered a heavy rainstorm, and I thought the trip might be canceled. However, we went ahead despite the rain. My umbrella, which was meant to be a sunshade, ended up being used mainly as a rain umbrella. It was so cold that I felt the chill was more overwhelming than the rain season itself.

It was really fun to have the tour guide take pictures of us at the movie filming locations!

I had experienced zip-lining in Japan, but in Hawaii, there were multiple courses available. I think I spent about two hours experiencing everything. My satisfaction level was quite high. The accompanying staff were locals who engaged with us to ensure we had a good time. I struggled with English and couldn't speak well, but the female guide was always smiling and made it enjoyable. On the longer lines, you glide through the air for about 30 seconds, and the views are amazing. I definitely think it's something everyone should try at least once.

A must do while on O’ahu!

Being able to drive up into the mountains and learn so much about the history of the mountains and the area was amazing. The added bonus of seeing different movie sites and learning about movies and shows being filmed in that area was cool too.
I was surprised that we did not stop at all of the sites with movie props. Especially the ones specific to Jurassic park so that was a bit of a disappointment but otherwise it was a great excursion.

My husband and I did the half-day tour which included; the movie set tour on Kualoa Ranch and the boat ride. I thought we were actually going to stay at secret Beach for a little bit, but we did not. The movie tour was made, especially memorable by our awesome tour guide. She was hilarious and made the whole experience that much better. It’s an absolutely beautiful place and we enjoyed learning about the working ranch, and the Hawaiian culture. The buffet lunch in between both tours was also very enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour.

Horseback riding while enjoying the vast scenery was amazing. It was a solid two hours of non-stop riding, with no breaks in between. There was hardly any time to relax. Make sure to use the restroom beforehand. Your butt and legs can get quite tired; researching how to ride might help ease that. The staff members were all wonderful. The accompanying staff took photos along the way and transferred them to my phone afterward. When I come back, I don't think I'll want to try other activities since I already rode last time; I still want to ride again. For such an experience, the price was more than satisfactory.

2時間みっちりのノンストップ、途中下馬なし。
気を抜く暇はほぼ無いです。
トイレは必ず済ませて起きましょう。

I enjoyed an exhilarating buggy ride while taking in the magnificent scenery and feeling the pleasant breeze! We stopped several times at photo spots, so I was able to take plenty of pictures. The staff were very kind; I got stung by a bee during the ride, but they brought me first aid and ointment, which was a huge help.

They provide bandanas to cover your face, but since the dust is intense while driving, it's definitely a good idea to have sunglasses! Your face will get really dirty, so I recommend bringing a towel or handkerchief. As for clothing, in addition to sun protection, it's best to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty from the dust (it gets really dirty). I had so much fun that I want to book this again when I come back to Hawaii!

途中で何度かフォトスポットで停車するので写真もたくさん撮れます。
スタッフの方は大変親切で、途中で蜂に刺されてしまったのですが、応急処置と塗り薬を持ってきてくださり大変助かりました。

顔を覆うバンダナが配布されますが、運転中砂埃がすごいのでサングラスは絶対あったほうがいいです！顔もすごい汚れるのでタオルやハンカチは持っていくと良いと思います。
洋服についても日焼け対策はもちろん、砂埃で上下汚れてもいい服装がおすすめです（めっちゃ汚れます）
とっても楽しかったのでまたハワイに来たら予約したいです！！

I participated with my six-year-old daughter. The guide was entirely in English, but before the tour, a Japanese coordinator explained everything thoroughly, so I had no worries about joining. The bus arrived right on time, which was reassuring.
During the tour, I felt like I enjoyed it more than my daughter, but there were some light hiking activities along the way, which made it an active and enjoyable experience. I thought that once my daughter is a bit older, I would like to participate in horseback riding and movie tours as well.
Both the outbound and return buses were clean and spacious, which was a great help. My child did not get motion sickness at all. There are no restrooms on the bus, so make sure to take care of that beforehand.

六歳の娘と参加しました。全て英語のガイドでしたが、ツアーに参加する前に日本人のコーディネーターさんが丁寧に説明してくれて、参加に不安はありませんでした。バスも時間丁度に来てくれ、安心しました。
ツアー自体は、娘より私のほうが楽しんでいる感はありましたが、途中で軽い山登りなどもあり、アクティブに楽しめました。もう少し娘が大きくなったら、乗馬や映画ツアーなどにも参加したいなぁと思いました。

My group loves this activity. We booked the ATV package with shuttle, which is the convenience. The shuttle bus was on time, make sure you should be 10-15 minutes early.

The shuttle bus is comfortable and clean with recliner chairs, food rest, and good AC. We were dropped off an hour prior our tour, so we can have some food at the cafe.

The tour guides gave us the clear instruction and they made sure we followed them. It is slightly more than 2-hour tour as it was raining and windy. *** We under forecasted the weather, so we were cold and soaking wet. Please make sure to gear up jackets and raincoats. *** Anyways, it was so fun and adventurous.

現地のスタッフさんは簡単な日本語を話せるみたいで「オネエサン、タヅナヒイテ」等声をかけてくれました。とっても優しかったです。馬も穏やかそうで怖い思いはしませんでした。この日は楽しく体験することができました！ありがとうございました！！
チップの事を忘れてしまっていて…財布はロッカーにいれちゃったし担当してくれたお姉さんはすぐ次のお仕事に行っちゃったしで…結局渡せませんでした。自分のポケットにチップ分のお札をいれておくといいかもしれません。そしたら乗馬体験が終わったらスマートに渡せると思います。

It seems that the speed and course can vary depending on the horse's mood that day, so for those who absolutely want to see the filming of the movie, I recommend the bus tour or the buggy ride. It was great to enjoy the beautiful scenery and experience something out of the ordinary, but my knees and back... haha, just a heads up that it will catch up with you later.
