I was able to see the rarely seen bright red magma and a rainbow over the valley, making it a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It was an absolutely amazing flight.

なかなか見る事の出来ない真っ赤なマグマや谷にかかる虹などを見ることができ、一生に一度の体験ができました。とっても最高なフライトでした。

If you have to choose one paid activity/tour to do on the Big Island, my friends and I definitely recommend the Mauna Kea Summit and Stargazing tour! It was an experience of a lifetime! From the AMAZING views from sunset to stargazing to the amazing, informative and friendly staff, I would definitely do this tour again, if only for the views!

It was great to interact with the dolphins, but there was also about an hour of classroom-like time before it started, which felt like an American school. It was a good experience for the kids.

This was the best idea we had to add to our Hawaiian vacation. I felt very lucky that my family of 3 had a private tour via the ocean from a native. Chris was AWESOME. Super nice. Shared a lot of Hawaiian culture with us. That alone was great but it was even better to get our lesson on sea while looking back at the island. Totally totally worth it. I've already told all our friends to do this. Thank you Chris.

Last year, I couldn't fly due to two cancellations caused by the weather. This year, it was a success on the first try. This tour allows you to enjoy both the volcanic side and the canyon side of the Big Island, giving you a real sense of the richness of nature. This time, we were taken care of by a Japanese pilot named TOSHI, and I was very satisfied as I got to see wonderful scenery while listening to various stories. My 9-year-old child was with us, and TOSHI explained things in a way that was easy for the child to understand at various points, so it seems my child enjoyed it as well. The air conditioning inside the helicopter was well-functioning, making for a comfortable environment in short sleeves and shorts. I would love to do this again.

今年は1発OKでした。
このツアーはハワイ島の火山サイドと渓谷サイドを両方楽しむことができ、自然の豊かさを実感できるツアーです。今回は日本人パイロットのTOSHIさんにお世話になりましたが、色々なお話を伺いながら素敵な景色を見られて大満足でした。9歳の子供も一緒でしたが、TOSHIさんが色々な場面で子供にもわかりやすく説明して下さり、子供も堪能していたようです。
ヘリコプター内は空調がしっかり聞いていて半袖短パンで快適な環境です。
またお世話になりたいです。

You can interact with the dolphins comfortably under the guidance of the trainers. However, all communication is in English. The trainers are very friendly and use gestures to express themselves, but it would be less stressful if you have a basic understanding of English.

The experience lasts for 30 minutes, but you won't be interacting with the dolphins continuously for that entire time. Depending on the dolphins' situation, there will be moments when you are separated from them, and then you will interact with them again under the trainer's guidance. However, it felt like the total time was more than 30 minutes.

The dolphins are truly adorable, and the experience of being able to touch them is very valuable.

Also, when participating in this activity, you need to bring a bath towel from your hotel room. I forgot mine and ended up purchasing a towel from the shop for $30.

Additionally, during the activity, you are not allowed to take any photos or videos. Each group has a dedicated photographer, and you can purchase the footage for $100 (the video lasts for 20 minutes). You need to request this at check-in. After the activity, you can choose to purchase all the image data or individual prints. Buying all 40 images costs $125, but if you buy them individually, it will end up being about the same if you get around 6 images.

トレーナーの方の誘導で安心してイルカと触れ合うことが出来ます。
ただ、言語は全て英語です。トレーナーの方もとてもフレンドリーで身振りで表現をしてくださいますが、できれば基本的な英語がわかっている方がストレスはないと思います。
体験の時間は30分となっていますが、30分継続してイルカと触れ合る訳ではなかったです。イルカの状況に応じて暫くイルカと離れ、トレーナーの誘導で再び触れ合うような感じです。でもトータルの時間は30分以上だったように感じました。
イルカは本当に可愛らしく、実際に体を触ることが出来た経験はとても貴重です。
あと、こちらのアクティビティーに参加する際にはホテルの部屋からバスタオルを持っていかねばなりません。忘れてしまい、ショップのタオルを30ドルで購入しました。
あと、アクティビティー中は写真やビデオの撮影は一切できません。映像は各グループにつききっりの撮影者が付き、100ドルで購入可能です（映像の長さは20分間）。チェックインの際にお願いしなければなりません。写真はアクティビティーの後で、画像データを全部購入や、1枚ずつの写真印刷等、色々選べます。画像データは40カット全部を買うと125ドルですが、個別で買っても6画像ぐらい買うと結局それぐらいになります。

We had an amazing time on this cruise, the staff was great and got us some exciting and unforgetable pictures of the sunset, will be doing this again in the future.

The sights were amazing and unique. The guide was amazing and knowledgeable. I have traveled all over the world and this would be one of my top 20 experiences. Tour arrangements were excellent.

I was glad to have a seat in the front because it was a premium seat. The fire dance was breathtaking. The staff was kind and brought drinks quickly.

I read past experiences and applied without much expectation, but I was very satisfied. I lined up for the Ali'i seats around 5:10 PM and was guided to the front row seat, one to the right of the center, so I had a great view of the stage. The Ali'i seats also had the food served first, and they brought drinks when requested, allowing me to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. I was satisfied as I could experience the Hawaiian atmosphere.

過去の体験談を読んで、あまり期待せずに申し込みしたのですが、十分満足しました。
アリイ席の列に17時10分頃に並び、センターより１つ右側の最前列の席に案内されたので、ステージが良く見えてよかったです。
アリイ席はお料理も先に案内されるし、ドリンクもたのめば持ってきてくれるのでゆっくり食事を楽しめました。
ハワイらしい雰囲気が味わえたので満足です。

I participated on the first day of my arrival on the Big Island. I was really looking forward to it since I couldn't join last time due to scheduling conflicts, and it was great to experience the tropical atmosphere right from the start. I was a bit disappointed that if I had arrived a little earlier, I could have enjoyed the free TATOO experience, but I still had a wonderful time with the show and the meal.

ハワイ島到着初日に参加させていただきました。
前回は日程的に参加できなかったので、とても楽しみにしていましたが、
初日から南国気分を味わえて良かったです。
もう少し時間を早く行ければ、TATOO体験も無料で出来たそうなので、
その点が残念でしたが、ショーと食事は楽しめました。

We learned so much about the island volcanos on this tour. The views are amazing and star gazing is outstanding. Believe the advice to be prepared for the cold. It was 37 at the top (in July)! We were fortunate to see the glow of the lava from the volcano. Apparently an unusual occurance.

The pilot who spoke Japanese was on vacation in Japan, and the commentary was in English. However, even though I couldn't understand much of the English commentary, the overwhelming power of the steam from the lava flowing into the sea and the crater was enough to enjoy the experience. The tour was quite expensive, but it provided an experience that was worth more. The day before, I was able to confirm the route to Mauna Kea from the air. In less than two hours, I was able to enjoy everything: Mauna Kea, the Kilauea volcano crater, the steam at the shoreline, the beauty of the valleys, and the waterfalls, which can only be experienced through a helicopter tour. For those who easily get motion sickness on planes, the constant G-force is reassuring. It feels like riding on a swing, making it enjoyable.

日本語の出来るパイロットはバカンスで日本に行っており解説は英語だった。しかし英語の解説は余り理解出来なくても火口や海に流れ込む溶岩からの水蒸気は圧倒的な迫力が有り十分楽しめた。遊覧の費用は結構高かったがそれ以上の体験が出来た。前日に行ったマウナケア山やそこへ続き道を上空から改めて確認する事が出来た。マウナケア山、キラウエア火山の火口、波打際の蒸気、渓谷美と滝を2時間弱で全て楽しむ事が出来るのはヘリでの遊覧でしか出来ない。飛行機に酔い易い人もGがずーと掛かっているの安心です。それはブランコに乗っている様な感覚で楽しめます。

Overall our experience was excellent. The food was delicious. The show was good. We really enjoyed the games before the show too. It was fun to learn the hula with my girls. I loved learning about the Hawaiian culture.

This was my first experience in a helicopter. I had imagined it would be shaky, but it was completely stable, to the point where I almost dozed off. The flight time was longer than I expected, and I enjoyed the vastness of Hawaii Island and its magnificent nature from above. Next time, I want to challenge myself on another island.

揺れを想像してたのですが、まったくの安定感でうとうとしてしまうほどでした。
予想以上にフライト時間が長く、ハワイ島のデカさや壮大な自然を上空から堪能しました。
次回は、ほかの島でもチャレンジしたいと思います。

The hula dance and fire action were beautiful, powerful, and very entertaining. The food and drinks were quite ordinary, but I think the service was pretty good. If you have the time, I recommend arriving a little before the meeting time. Seats are assigned in the order of arrival, so this time we were in the front row. Because of that, we were able to enjoy a spectacular show.

フラダンスとファイアーアクションは、きれいで迫力があり、とても面白いです。
食事とお酒はごく普通の内容ですが、サービスはかなり良いと思います。
余裕があれば集合時間の少し前に行った方が良いと思います。席は並んでいる順番で前から案内されるため、今回は一番前の席でした。
そのかいあって、迫力満点のショーを楽しめました。

Not my favorite, but would recommend it. I would go the one at the Royal Kona Resort.

Every time I visited the Big Island, I applied for a helicopter tour of Kilauea Volcano, but I never succeeded due to bad weather or unfavorable wind conditions—six times for me and two times for my wife. This year, I wanted to finally make the volcano helicopter tour happen, so I applied to a different helicopter company with a Japanese pilot. However, since I applied close to the date, even foreign pilots were fully booked. Eventually, I managed to secure a reservation with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters, not being particular about having a Japanese pilot.

Fortunately, our helicopter pilot was Japanese. A German father and son who came from Singapore, a Japanese newlywed couple, and my wife and I—six of us in total—took off on this helicopter tour (Photo 1). Although there was quite a strong wind that day, the helicopter was stable, and the ride was comfortable with hardly any significant turbulence. Since there were four Japanese passengers, the pilot provided explanations in Japanese as needed, which made it very easy to understand. We toured both craters of Kilauea and were able to see orange lava, fulfilling a long-held wish (Photos 2, 3). The lava reached the coastline through a lava tunnel, creating steam (Photo 4).

After seeing the volcano at Kilauea, we went to Waipi'o Valley and enjoyed the beautiful coastline (Photo 5). I was very satisfied to see the red lava from the helicopter and returned to the hotel.

これまでハワイ島を訪れる度にキラウエア火山ヘリコプター遊覧を申し込みましたが、私は6回、家内は２回、悪天候、風向きが悪い等の理由で一度も実現したことがありませんでした。今年こそ火山ヘリコプター遊覧を実現したいと日本人パイロットで別のヘリコプター会社に申し込みましたが、期日がせまってからの申込みのため外人パイロットですら予約満杯でした。そしてやっと日本人パイロットにこだわらないとして申し込んだブルーハワイアンヘリコプターの予約が取れました。
幸運にも我々のヘリコプターのパイロットは日本人でした。シンガポールから来たというドイツ人親子（お父さんと息子）、日本人の新婚さん、我々夫婦の6名がこのヘリコプターの遊覧に飛び立ちました（写真１）。この日は結構強い風が吹いてましたがヘリコプターは安定しておりほとんど大きな揺れはなく快適な遊覧でした。日本人が4名乗っていることからパイロットが適宜日本語で説明してくれるのでとてもわかりやすかったです。キラウエアの二つの火口を遊覧しましたが、ともにオレンジ色の溶岩を見ることが出来て長年の願いが叶いました（写真２，３）。火口から溶岩トンネルを通じて海岸線にまで達し水蒸気があがっていました（写真4）。
キラウエアで火山を見た後はワイピオ渓谷に行き、きれいな海岸線を見ました（写真５）。
赤い溶岩をヘリコプターから見ることが出来て大満足でホテルに帰りました。

I participated in a tour that took us around Kilauea Volcano, over Hilo, along the eastern coastline of the Big Island, and through Waipi'o Valley. It was my first experience in a helicopter, and I was truly moved by the magnificent natural scenery of the Big Island. The pilot provided guidance in both English and Japanese, which made for an immersive and informative experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone.

キラウエア火山、ヒロの上空、ハワイ島東部の海岸線、ワイピオ渓谷を周遊するコースに参加しました。ヘリコプターも初めての体験で、本当に素晴らしい雄大なハワイ島の自然の景観を目の当たりにして感動のフライトでした。　パイロットは英語と日本語でガイドしていただけたので臨場感たっぷりの説明が聞けて素晴らしい体験ができたと思います。　どなたにもお勧めできるツアーです。

I had a star gazing tour to Mauna Kea and have to admit this was a real STAR of my 2-week travel across Big Island. Our tour guide Maka had deep extensive knowledge in geology, volcanology, astronomy, ethnography, history of Hawaii and was just a very nice guy and interesting interlocutor. Maka was so kind to call me about my precious photo filters I left behind in the tour bus ad help me get them back. Thank you, Maka!

We arrived at the helipad we spotted on the way from the airport to the hotel, picked up by the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. We were the only Japanese couple there. We received instructions in fast-paced English, but as long as we could catch some words, we managed. We stored everything except our cameras and water bottles in lockers, put on life vests, and waited while watching a safety video. Everyone was excited by the sound of the helicopter returning with the previous group. After the helicopter returned and underwent maintenance, we had to wait quite a while. Due to nerves, everyone kept needing the restroom, but there was only one unisex restroom, so it got crowded.

There were about 20 people in our time slot. We were grouped based on our participation unit and weight, and we shared the helicopter with two other couples and six individuals. We communicated through headphones and handheld microphones. Even if you're not good at English, the staff is friendly and engages in conversation, so it's fine to speak in broken English.

As we ascended, background music played effectively, and the optimal music for each spot was prepared, which further lifted the mood. Unfortunately, I have a weak vestibular system, and shortly after ascending, I started feeling nauseous and couldn't look down when we approached the most scenic spot near the magma. I managed not to throw up, but I held onto an etiquette bag the whole time. The etiquette bag was stuck in front of my seat, but since I was firmly secured with the seatbelt, it was out of reach for someone petite. I couldn't reach it, so I gestured to my tall husband to get it for me, but I think those with a weak vestibular system should move it closer to them beforehand.

Unfortunately, I felt nauseous, but it was undoubtedly a valuable experience to see breathtaking spots that are normally inaccessible up close.

マウナケアビーチホテルからのピックアップで空港からホテルへ向かう道中に見かけたヘリポートに到着。日本人は私達夫婦だけでした。早口の英語で指示を受けますが、単語が聞き取れればなんとかなります。カメラとペットボトル以外はロッカーに入れて救命胴衣を装着、安全ビデオを見てその時を待ちます。前の時間帯のパーティーを乗せたヘリが戻って来る音でみんな大興奮。前機戻って来てヘリの整備やらでその後結構待ちました。緊張でみんなトイレが近くなるのですが、トイレが男女共用で1つしかないので混雑します。
同じ時間帯の組は20名ほどでした。参加単位と体重で乗る組み合わせを振り分けられ私達はカップル2組と6名で同乗。ヘッドホンと手持ちのマイクで会話します。英語が苦手でも楽しく話しかけてくれるので片言でも大丈夫です。
上昇とともに効果的にBGMが流され、スポット毎に最適なBGMが用意されているのでさらに気分が盛り上がります。
私は三半規管が弱いため上昇してほどなくして気持ちが悪くなってしまい、一番の絶景スポットのマグマへの接近で下を向くことができませんでした。なんとか戻すことはありませんでしたが、ずっとエチケット袋を抱えていました。座席前に刺さっているエチケット袋ですが、身体ががっつりシートベルトで固定されているので小柄な方では手が届きません。私は届かず背の高い主人にジェスチャーで即して取ってもらいましたが、三半規管が弱い方は事前に手元に移動しておいた方がいいと思います。
生憎気持ちが悪くなってしまいましたが、普通では立ち入れない絶景スポットを目近で見られるので、とても貴重な経験が出来たことは間違いありません。

Paid for the preferred Alii VIP seating so we were front and center and got our drinks served to us. We have been to two other Luaus, and we have to say this one had the best food and drinks. But the Luau at the Hilton on Maui had the best show. But of the two Luaus we attended on the Big Island this one was the better of the two.

This tour was the highlight of our activities on the big island.

I chose the exclusive VIP seating because I wanted a good spot. Honestly, I would have preferred to sit facing the stage, but it can't be helped due to the seating arrangement. It's a good idea to line up early!

The seating is at a long table, so you'll be sharing with others. I recommend sitting next to someone rather than across from them.

The buffet offers a wide selection, and it's delicious. The table attendant was a nice guy who was very attentive, which made for an even more enjoyable time.

The hula and luau show is quite long, and I think you'll be satisfied with it! I believe it's something you should experience at least once.

いい席で見たくてexclusive vipにしました。正直正面がよかったですが、並び順なので仕方ないですね。早めに並ぶといいですよ！
席は長テーブルなので相席になります。向かい合わせより、隣りがオススメ。
ビュッフェはたくさんの中から選べ、また美味しいです。テーブル担当のおじさんがいい人でよく気にしてくれてさらに楽しいひと時になりました。
フラ&ルアウのshowは、割と長くて満足できると思いますよ！一回は体験してみるべきだと思います♪

Our guide Joe was very knowledgeable about astronomy. It was cool to see the top of Mauna Kea and observatories. We went during a half moon and the star visibility was still very good. The mountain is above the vog, so you should be able to see the stars even if the vog is a problem.

This was a fun activity, and totally safe. Our 4 yr old was not too excited at first, but later enjoyed it as we went out into the ocean. The highlight for her was getting to touch the water while sitting in the canoe, and seeing a turtle swimming close to us. The guide was experienced, and wanted to play safe since we had a young kid, but later realized that we could handle going out further into the ocean. It was a blast.

the Luau was everything that I would have expected and much, much more. Excellent dining and show. I would recommend this to anyone. I would attend again the next time I visit the Big Island.

One instructor is assigned to every six people, allowing for interaction with the dolphins. I have participated in a dolphin interaction event at Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, but this experience was so much more substantial and satisfying that it’s not even comparable.

We were able to touch the dolphins, observe them swimming up close, and even make them jump. The hour flew by in no time. Unfortunately, my 5-year-old grandchild was scared and couldn't put their face in the water while wearing a mask. I wish we had gotten them more accustomed to the water beforehand.

6人に1人のインストラクターが着いてイルカと触れ合います。
八景島シーパラダイスでもイルカとの触れ合いイベントに参加したことが有りますが、内容は比較にならない程ボリューム満点で大満足です。

触れたり、泳いでいる様子を顔を付けて見たり、ジャンプさせたり、あっという間の1時間でした。
残念なのは、5歳の孫がマスクを着けて顔を水に浸けられず、怖がってしまった事。水にもう少し鳴らしておけばよかった。

It's a special experience where you can feel the grandeur of the Big Island, including the appearance of the volcano, the flow of magma into the ocean, the townscape of Hilo, and the waterfalls in the valley. It's an experience that money can't buy. I highly recommend it! Although I wasn't a Japanese pilot, I could somewhat understand what was being said through the words.

とにかくハワイ島の雄大さを感じることができるスペシャルな体験です。
お金じゃ買えない経験です。お勧めします！！
