The speed of the boat to the fishing grounds was extraordinary and it was a thrilling activity. I was able to see the humpback whale's spout, and the beautiful sunset was perfect. The water was cold, so I was glad to borrow a wetsuit. I was fortunate to see a manta ray, even if just once. The hot cocoa on the way back was delicious!

漁場までのボートのスピードは尋常でなくスリリングなアクティビティでした。ザトウクジラの潮吹きも見られたし、キレイなサンセットもバッチリでした。海中は冷たいのでウエットスーツは借りて良かったです。一度だけですがマンタを見られて良かったです。帰りのホットココアが美味しかったです‼️

The sea was very rough due to the front passing the day before. Despite that, we set sail. I was moved to see a manta ray, but I spent a long time in the water and my body got completely cold. When I got back on the boat, I was so cold that my stomach hurt, and my hands trembled for a while. It seems that the temperature in Hawaii in February is low as well. There was a Japanese guide, but I had to ask for information about the restroom and changing area; they didn't provide it on their own.

その中での出港。マンタは見れて感動しましたが、海の中にいる時間も長くとにかく体が冷え切りました。
船に上がった時には、体が冷えすぎてお腹が痛く、手の震えもしばらく止まりませんでした。
ハワイ島も2月は気温が低いようです。
日本語ガイドもいましたがトイレの場所や更衣場所の案内はこちらから聞かないと教えてもらえませんでした。

It started to rain and the activity was canceled midway, but they rescheduled it for the next day, allowing us to try again. They carefully taught us how to ride the Segway, and we visited various sightseeing spots for two hours. We sped down the old airport runway and even tried riding with our hands open, which was incredibly fun.

We stopped at a farmer's market along the way to buy local fruits, and during a break, they let us try dragon fruit for the first time. They even took photos and videos, leaving us with great memories. It was a very satisfying activity.

雨が降り出してしまい途中で中止になりましたが、翌日に変更してもらい再挑戦できました。丁寧にセグウェイの乗り方を教えてくれて、2時間もいろんな観光名所にセグウェイで行き、旧空港の滑走路ではスピードを出したり、手を開いて乗ってみたりして、最高に楽しかったです。
ローカルフルーツを途中のファーマーマーケットで購入してくれて、途中の休憩ではじめてのドラゴンフルーツも食べさせてくれました。
写真やビデオまで撮ってくれて、良い思い出も残り大満足なアクティビティでした。

The kind tour guide took many wonderful photos with the sunset as the background. For stargazing, the tour was intentionally scheduled to coincide with the full moon at the summit of Mauna Kea. Unfortunately, we couldn't reach the summit due to strong winds, but I was very satisfied to see the full moon shining brightly near the visitor center at nearly 2800 meters. Although stargazing wasn't great because of the full moon, I was able to see definitely more stars and constellations than in Tokyo. Next time, I would like to join the same tour during the new moon to learn about constellations.

夕日をバックグラウンドにツアーガイドの優しいお兄さんが沢山の素敵な写真を丁寧に撮ってくれました。星空観測に関しては、あえて満月に合わせてマウナケア山頂に行けるようにツアーを組みました。残念ながら強風で山頂までは行けませんでしたが、2800m近くのビジターセンター近くで輝くほどの光を放つ満月を見れて大満足でした。満月によって星観測はイマイチでしたが、東京よりも断然、多くの星や星座を見れました。
次回は逆バージョンで新月に合わせて同じツアーに参加し、星座を学びに行きたいと思っています。

I had a hard time finding a tour to the summit of Mauna Kea, but I’m so glad I participated in this one; it truly became a wonderful and unforgettable day. From the moment I was picked up, they carefully explained the day's conditions (weather and mountain situation), which made me feel very reassured from the start.

Since we traveled by bus, I had some concerns, but the guide was attentive to everyone, engaging in conversation and providing advice about our health, which allowed us to enjoy the experience safely and happily throughout.

Due to various reasons like weather and wind, it was uncertain until the last moment whether we could reach the summit or see the starry sky, but fortunately, we were able to see both beautifully, and it was breathtaking. I am truly very satisfied!

Next time, I want to visit the summit of Mauna Kea to see the summer night sky! Thank you for a fun time from start to finish.

マウナケア山頂に行けるツアーはなかなか無かったため、とても探しましたがこちらに参加して本当に素敵で忘れられない1日になりました。
お迎えに来てくださったところからその日の状況（天気や山の様子）などを丁寧に説明してくださり、初めからとても安心しました。
バスでの移動なのでいろいろと不安もありましたが、ガイドさんがみんなを気にかけて話していたり、体調についてもアドバイスをくださったり終始楽しく安全に過ごせました。
天候、風など様々な理由で山頂まで行けるか、星空を見ることができるかできないか、直前までわからなかったのですが、運良く二つともとっても綺麗に見れて感動しました。本当に大満足です！！
今度は夏の夜空、マウナケア山頂に行きたいと思います！
最初から最後まで楽しい時間をありがとうございました。

On February 8th, I participated with my children and my brother-in-law, a group of four. We were able to see a mother and baby whale, dynamic jumps (which were a bit far away), and a pod of dolphins up close. The captain took us to various points where we could encounter different wildlife. The thrill of the speed and bouncing felt like a roller coaster, and I gripped the ropes tightly, which left me with sore muscles for a while.

Before participating, I was worried about what to wear. How cold is the ocean in Hawaii during winter? Would I get completely soaked? What about shoes? The conclusion was that the ocean had a bit of swell, and the boat's spray only splashed on us a little. I think it depends on the sea conditions, but it’s fine to dress in a way that you wouldn’t mind getting a little wet. By the way, I wore a T-shirt with a hooded rash guard, pants, and water shoes. Sunglasses are a must. The boat bounces at incredible speed, so a cap will fly off.

2月8日に子供夫婦と義兄の4人で参加しました。クジラの親子、ダイナミックなジャンプ（これは少し遠かったです）、イルカの群れを近くで見ることも出来ました。キャプテンが色々遭遇できそうなポイントに連れて行ってくれました。ジェットコースターのようなスリル満点のスピードとバウンドの為ロープを握りしめる手や踏ん張る脚に力が入りしばらくは筋肉痛でした。
参加する前に心配していたのは服装の事。ハワイの冬の海はどのくらい寒いのか？ずぶ濡れになってしまうのか？靴は？という事で結論は、海は少しうねりがありボートの波しぶきが少しかかる程度でした。海のコンディションにもよると思いますが、少し濡れてもいいくらいの格好で大丈夫。ちなみに私はTシャツにフード付きラッシュガード、パンツ、マリンシューズ。、サングラスは必須です。ボートはすごいスピードでバウンドしながら疾走するのでキャップは飛んでしまいます。

I visited Kealakekua Bay, known as the Path of the Gods. The hotel I stayed at was the Sheraton, which was conveniently located just a short walk from the meeting point. Since it's the end point for the trolley, I think it's easy to get there even if you don't rent a car or stay at the Sheraton.

The guide spoke English and was very knowledgeable about history, answering any questions we had. Additionally, to protect the coral, we were allowed to use environmentally friendly sunscreen for free. The water was truly beautiful, and I was able to see many cute fish! It was February, but I enjoyed myself without a rash guard. It was a bit chilly, so I couldn't stay in the water the whole time... haha. After snorkeling, they provided fresh fruit, snacks, and drinks on the boat! It was really great!

神々の道と言われるケアラケクア湾に行きました。止まっていたホテルがシェラトンだったので歩いてすぐの集合場所で便利が良かったです。トロリーの終点なのでレンタカーしてない&シェラトン宿泊者じゃなくても行きやすいと思います。
ガイドは英語ですが、歴史の知識も豊富で聞けばなんでも答えてくれます。また珊瑚保護のため、環境に優しい日焼け止めも無料で使用させてもらえます。本当に水がキレイな場所なのでたくさんのかわいい魚たちを見ることができました！2月でしたが、ラッシュガードなしで楽しめました。少し寒くてフルタイムで水の中に入っていられなかったですが…笑　シュノーケルの後、船の上でフレッシュフルーツとスナック、飲み物を用意してくれますよ！とても良かったです！

As the altitude increases, the cold intensifies, creating a world isolated from the lower realms.

The grandeur of snow-capped Mauna Kea, accompanied by an endless sea of clouds, was truly moving. (I never expected to see snow on the Big Island of Hawaii!)

When the tour ended and we returned to the town of Kona, it was once again reminiscent of the tropical atmosphere.

Make sure to seize the rare opportunity to drive to the summit of a 4,000-meter mountain!

If possible, aim for a new moon to enjoy the starry sky as well!

高度が上がる度に、寒さを増して下界と隔絶されていく世界。

どこまでも続く雲海を従えた雪化粧のマウナケアの雄大さには心を打たれるものがありました。
(そもそもハワイ島で雪が見られるとは思ってもいませんでした！)

ツアーが終わってコナの街に戻ると、そこはまた以前の熱帯の面影が。

4000メーター級の山頂に車で行くことのできる数少ないチャンスを是非モノにしてください！

できれば新月で星空も狙ってください！

Since it was my first time on the Big Island, I definitely wanted to visit Mauna Kea. There had been a period when access to the summit was not allowed, and it had been closed for three consecutive days due to bad weather, but fortunately, I was able to reach the summit that day. They stopped along the way to take photos for us, and even at the summit, they took pictures despite the strong winds, providing excellent service.

As for stargazing, although there were fewer stars because the previous night was a full moon, there were still plenty to see, and I was thrilled to witness the moonrise and a mysterious comet. On the way back, I even caught a glimpse of a moonbow.

It was a long tour, but I was very satisfied with the experience.

初めてのハワイ島だったので、必ず行きたいと思っていたマウナケア。ずっと山頂には行けない時期があり、さらに3日連続で天候不良で閉山していたとのことでしたが、運良くこの日は山頂まで行くことが出来ました。途中下車して写真を撮ってくださったり、山頂でも強風のなか写真を撮ってくださり、至れり尽くせりでした。
星空観測も前日が満月だったこともあり、星は少ないとのことでしたが十分な量で、ムーンライズや不思議な彗星も見れたので、感動の連続でした。
帰る途中にはムーンボウ(月による虹)も僅かに見えました。
長時間でしたがとても満足の出来るツアーでした。

I wouldn't give this tour five stars...I give it as many stars as there are in the Mauna Kea sky! This tour was easily the highlight of our trip on the Big Island! We enjoyed every minute of it. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous, and to see it from such a high elevation was quite remarkable. I was glad that we had plenty of time before and after the sunset to walk around, take in the view, and get some good pictures.

The dinner was very good but if you don't like lasagna there's a microwave at VIS if you want to bring your own food.

The road to the summit is a bit bumpy, but that's to be expected since it's a volcano. So take motion sickness meds if you're prone to carsickness. And if you get cold easily, definitely bring layers! They provide parkas and gloves but you might also want to bring a hat or scarf and thick socks.

Throughout the tour, the guide provided a very entertaining and educational narrative. It's obvious that he's passionate about Mauna Kea and Hawaii. He's basically a walking encyclopedia of Hawaii and provided all kinds of interesting information about Mauna Kea's geology and history, and also talked about Hawaiian culture and why Mauna Kea is a sacred place. He also did an excellent job of guiding the stargazing and pointing out constellations, star clusters, and planets, most of which we got to see through a telescope. I think my favorite part of the stargazing was getting to see the Andromeda galaxy through the telescope.

If you're going to the Big Island, this tour is a must!

I signed up for whale watching for the first time. The guide spoke English and explained everything very clearly, so I was able to enjoy the time until we reached the point where we could see the whales without getting bored. We happened to encounter a mother and baby whale, and since they were right beneath the boat, I was lucky to see the whole thing. It was great that there were drinks available, including alcohol.

初めてホエールウォッチングに申し込みました。
英語のガイドでしたが、とても分かりやすく説明してくださって、クジラが見えるポイントまで飽きずに過ごせました。
たまたま親子のクジラにも遭遇出来て、船の真下にいたので、全体も見えてラッキーでした。
飲み物もアルコールがあって、とても良かったです。

This was my first time participating. In the end, I didn't get to see any manta rays... However, this company offers a free tour next time if you don't see manta rays. I participated in this tour on the Big Island, but since the company also has a branch on Oahu, I signed up for a snorkeling tour to see turtles there, which was really free. They provided transportation to and from the hotel, which was very accommodating. The entire crew was energetic and kept the participants entertained from start to finish. During snorkeling, I was able to observe turtles right in front of me, explore the seabed while free diving, and play on a waterslide and trampoline on the water—such a satisfying experience! They also provided warm drinks, which was helpful. The pineapple was super delicious. Chanel from the Oahu branch, it became a wonderful memory of Hawaii! Thank you. And to the crew on the Big Island, you were all handsome with your Kansai dialect! Thank you.

今回はハワイ島での参加でしたがオアフ島にも会社があるので後日オアフ島でカメを見に行くシュノーケリングツアーへ参加申し込みして本当に無料。ホテルまで送迎してくれて至れり尽くせり。クルー全員元気が良くて参加者を最初から最後まで楽しませてくれました。シュノーケリングでは目の前でカメを観察できたり素潜りで海底を散策！？出来たり海の上での滑り台やトランポリンで遊んだり大満足！！温かい飲み物も出してくれて助かりました。パイナップル超美味しかったです。オアフ支社のシャネルちゃん、良きハワイの思い出になりました！ありがとう

I had a wonderful time and highly recommend it.
The access to the summit may vary depending on the weather on the day, but we were lucky enough to reach the top and enjoy both the sunset and stargazing.
The sunset at the summit of Mauna Kea was particularly stunning, with a beautiful sunset appearing through a break in the clouds, reflecting off the surrounding clouds, creating a very magical scene.
My mother, who joined me, was also very happy, and I am grateful to have been able to show my appreciation to her.
Next time, I would like to visit again around the new moon.

最後は当日の天候によって山頂へのアクセスなどが変わってきますが、我々は運よく山頂までいくことができ、サンセットと星空鑑賞の双方を満喫することができました。
特にマウナケア山頂でのサンセットは、雲の切れ目から美しい夕陽が出現して、周りの雲に反射し、とても幻想的な光景でした。
一緒に参加した母親もとても喜んでおり、親孝行ができたと感謝しております。

This Mauana Kea summit and stargazing tour was phenomenal. The first stop is at the visitor center around 9k feet elevation. Here you can look through a couple telescopes, walk through the museum, and you will be served your hot dinner (we had veggie lasagna and it was good). While you are here it is good to eat and drink alot of water so your body can acclimate to the higher altitudes ahead. Next stop is the summit up to almost 14k feet! The Vans they take up are heavy duty and they need to be because of the rocky road leading up the mountain. I would not reccomend taking a rental/personal vehicle up this mountain. The road is rocky, thin, and windy. The guides for this tour have been doing it for years and know the road well. On the way up the guides will give you some commentary about the mountain which is a cool little history lesson. At the top it is cold and the oxygen is thin, so be ready! They provide you with a winter coat and gloves but I recommend bringing your own hat. The views from the summit are outstanding. Watching the sun set from up there is really remarkable, and you can walk around to the 12 massive telescopes up there to take pictures. After the summit you will descend a couple thousand feet to the star gazing location. With no light pollution and at the high altitude it provides for the star gazing experience of a lifetime. I have never seen the sky lit up so brightly with constellations. The guides will break out a couple of heavy duty telescopes from the vans so you can get an even closer look. They will educate you about the constellations and give alot of really good information. Overall this is an impeccable tour and a must do if you are going to the Big Island!

On February 4th, my partner and I participated in the "Mauna Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing Tour." During the journey, Mauna Kea was covered in clouds, and we were worried that we might not be able to see the sunset or the stars. However, since the summit is above the clouds, we were able to witness a stunning sea of clouds and a beautiful sunset. It was a truly magical moment.

Unfortunately, due to the bright moonlight, we couldn't observe as many stars as we had hoped, but thanks to our guide's clear explanations, we were able to see many constellations that we wouldn't normally see. If I have the opportunity to visit the Big Island again, I would definitely like to join this tour and experience a sky full of stars next time.

Since it was my first experience going to a high altitude, I was worried about getting altitude sickness, but with the guide's appropriate advice and consideration, both of us were able to enjoy the tour without any health issues. I highly recommend this tour for older adults as well.

2/4夫婦で「マウナケア山頂 サンセット&星空観測ツアー」に参加しました。
道中マウナケアには雲がかかっており、もしかしたらサンセットも星空も見られないのでは⁉と不安になりましたが、山頂はその雲の上に位置するため、マウナケア山頂では素晴らしい雲海とそこに沈んでいく美しい夕日を見ることができました。とても幻想的な瞬間でした。
あいにく月明かりが明るかったため、期待していたほどの星空観測はできませんでしたが、ガイドさんの分かりやすい説明のおかげで普段見ることのできない星座をたくさん観測することができました。
またハワイ島に行く機会があれば、是非ともこのツアーに参加して、今度こそ満天の星空を体験してみたいと思います。
標高の高いところに行くのは初めての体験だったので、高山病にかかってしまうのではないかなど不安はありましたが、ガイドさんの適切なアドバイスと配慮により、2人とも体調を崩すことなく、最後まで楽しく過ごすことができました。年配の方にもおすすめします。

I once experienced altitude sickness while climbing a mountain, so I was a bit worried, but thanks to acclimatization, I was able to enjoy the sunset in perfect condition without any health issues.

The sunset above the clouds, with a blanket of snow in Hawaii, was truly beautiful and left me speechless with emotion. Watching the starry sky while receiving explanations made it even more enjoyable and sparked my imagination.

Above all, it was a magnificent starry sky. I was very satisfied with the tour, especially since I got to take many photos with the stars that I couldn't capture myself.

(I was quietly moved by the star-themed music selection in the car on the way back.) I would love to participate again in the summer. Thank you very much.

一度山登りの際に高山病になったことがあり、少し心配していましたが、順応のお陰か全く体調を崩すことなく最高のコンディションでサンセットを見ることができました。
ハワイでの一面の雪と見る、雲の上からのサンセットは本当に綺麗で、言葉に出来ない程の感動でした。星空は解説を交えながら見ることで、より想像力も膨らみ楽しめました。
何より、満点の素晴らしい星空でした。
自分では撮れない、星空との写真等々も沢山撮っていただき、大満足のツアーでした。
(帰りの車内での星関連の選曲、静かに1人感動していました。)また次は、夏に参加したいと思います。ありがとうございました。



On February 1st, two women in their 60s participated in the "Mauna Kea Summit Sunset and Stargazing Tour." We were picked up at the hotel at 1 PM, and the weather was unstable that day. According to our guide, it was raining at the Onizuka Center, so we quickly had dinner at Mauna Kea Park. It was still just after 4 PM, and we weren't very hungry, but the Japanese-style bento and warm miso soup after several days were so delicious that we finished them quickly. We appreciated the thoughtful gesture of providing towels for everyone to sit on the park benches. As we drove up, feeling anxious about whether we would make it to the top, the rain stopped, and the sun peeked out, as if our prayers were answered. It turned out that the gate closed right after we passed through. We were lucky.

At the summit, there was a lot of snow, and the wind was very strong, but the view of the sea of clouds and the sunset from 4,200 meters felt like being in another world, making us forget the cold as we were captivated by the scenery. I heard that snow on Mauna Kea is only present at this time of year, which filled my heart with emotion. I was a bit worried about altitude sickness, but by following the guide's instruction not to run, all 11 participants that day were in good spirits. The temperature dropped, and due to road freezing, unfortunately, we had to go down to 2,800 meters for stargazing. Even though I borrowed ski wear, my fingers were numb at 4,200 meters, but I didn't feel cold once we descended to 2,800 meters. We were shown Venus and a crescent moon through a telescope, and then Mr. Ichikawa gave a stargazing presentation. Using an excellent laser pointer that clearly indicated stars and constellations in all directions, he taught us in a very easy-to-understand and enjoyable way. I was amazed by Mr. Ichikawa's depth of knowledge about stars. I was delighted to see Orion's sword clearly, which is not often visible in Japan. I heard that the Southern Cross can also be seen at midnight. It was a very satisfying tour, and I’m really glad I participated. If you go to the Big Island, I highly recommend Mauna Kea.

2/1　６０代のおばさん２人で、「マウナケア山頂サンセットと星空ツアー」に参加しました。午後1時にホテルでピックアップ、不安定な空模様の日でした。オニヅカセンターは、雨が降っているとのガイドさんの話で、下のマウナケアパークで急きょ夕食を食べました。まだ４時過ぎで、おなかはあまりすいていませんでしたが、何日かぶりの日本食の幕の内弁当と、温かい味噌汁がとても美味しくて、ぺろっと食べてしまいました。公園のベンチのイスの上に敷くタオルまで、全員分用意してくださって、気づかいに感謝です。上まで行けるのだろうかと不安な気持ちを乗せて車が走っていると、祈りが通じたのか雨も上がり、太陽が顔を出してくれました。なんと、私達が通過したすぐ後にゲートクローズになったそうです。ラッキーでした。山頂は、雪がたくさんあり
風もとても強かったですが、４２００メートルからの雲海や夕日が沈んでいく景色は、別世界にいるようで、寒さも忘れて見入ってしまいました。雪のあるマウナケアは、いまの時期だけだと聞いて、胸がいっぱいになりました。高山病がちょっと心配でしたが、「走らないように」とのガイドさんの指示を守ったら、当日の参加者１１人全員元気でした。気温も下がり、路面凍結とのことで、残念ながら星空観察は２８００メートルまで下りて行いました。スキーウエアを借りていても、４２００メートルでは指がかじかんでいましたが、２８００メートルまで下がると寒さを感じませんでした。金星と半月を望遠鏡で見せていただき、そのあとは市川さんの星空解説会。遠くまではっきり示せる性能バツグンのレーザーポインターを使って、東西南北に見える星と星座をとてもわかりやすく、楽しく教えてくれました。市川さんの星の知識の深さにビックリでした。日本ではよく見えないオリオンの剣まではっきり見え、嬉しくなりました。夜中には、南十字星も見えるそうです。大満足のツアーです。参加できて本当に良かったです。ハワイ島に行ったら、絶対マウナケアおすすめです。

I participated in this tour on January 26, 2020. Although it was cloudy at the start, the clouds cleared at the summit, and we were blessed with good weather. The view from the highest point of my life, with the snowy mountains, blue sky, and sea of clouds, was amazing, and the sunset gradually sinking was the best. The stargazing afterward was also impressive, as it was only a few days past the new moon, allowing us to clearly see the Milky Way and satellites. I couldn't capture the night sky well with my own camera, but there was a service to download photos taken by the guide, which allowed me to feel moved again when I viewed them later.

Additionally, our guide, Tomo, helped us secure good spots by acting promptly and reminded participants to take deep breaths and move slowly, which allowed us to enjoy the experience without suffering from altitude sickness. The explanations included not only the scenery and stars but also various stories about life in Hawaii, making it a truly wonderful half-day experience. I look forward to visiting Hawaii again!

20年1月26日に本ツアーに参加しました。
出発時は雲がかかっていたものの、昇るにつれて山頂の雲は晴れ、良い天気に恵まれました。人生最高到達地点で見る景色は、雪山と青空と雲海のセットが素晴らしく、徐々に沈んで行く夕陽も最高でした。その後の星空観測も、新月から数日しか経っていなかった事も手伝い、天の川や人工衛星もくっきり見え、感動的でした。自分のカメラでは星空は上手く撮れませんでしたが、ガイドさんが撮影して下さった写真をダウンロード出来るサービスがあり、後日それを見る事で、改めて感動出来ました。
また、ガイドのトモさんが、早め早めの行動をする事で良い場所が取れたり、参加者には深呼吸やゆっくり動く事を何度も注意して下さったお陰で高山病になる事もなく楽しめました。説明も、景色や星の説明だけでなく、ハワイの生活についての色々な話しもして下さり、とても素晴らしい半日となりました。またハワイに行く時は宜しくお願いします！

We found this trip rather disappointing. It was supposed to last for an hour but we returned to the pier after 50 minutes. In the event we had probably seen all there was to see after 20 minutes. You see rather dull brown/grey coral, some small blue and yellow fish and some sea urchins - No wrays or sharks or anything unusual. In fact the guide started to describe the history of the buildings on the shoreline as we headed back. Not worth the money.

It was the best time ever.
Our guide was super excited!
Seeing sea turtles, dolphins, and whales was a miracle.

The road to the summit of Mauna Kea suddenly opened at the end of last year, giving us another chance to visit the summit. We never know when it might close again, so don't miss this opportunity! I absolutely recommend it!

The summit still has snow. What you see in the foreground is snow, and beyond that is the sea of clouds. The sun sinking into the sea of clouds at sunset is an indescribable experience. I felt the vastness of the Earth and its vitality. The guide takes wonderful sunset photos for you.

And then there's stargazing at the base of the mountain. Here too, the guide takes fantastic photos with the starry sky as the backdrop. They even show you the moon through a telescope, and you can see the craters clearly✨

The conversation is enjoyable, and the guide's photography skills are excellent. This was my second time participating, and each time the satisfaction is 200%.

The summit of Mauna Kea is a special sacred place for the locals. I highly recommend it to everyone!!

マウナケア山頂までの道路が昨年末に突然Openし、また山頂へ行けるチャンスをいただけました。いつまたCloseされてしまうか分からないです。このチャンスを逃さないように！絶対おすすめします！

雪が残る山頂。手前に見えるのは雪で、その奥が雲海です。雲海に沈んでいく太陽と夕陽。言葉では言い現せない感動です。地球の大きさと生命力を感じました。ガイドさんが素晴らしい夕陽の写真を撮って下さいます

そして山麓での星空観測。ここでもまたガイドさんが星空をバックにステキな写真を撮って下さいます。望遠鏡で月も見せてくれ、クレーターまでハッキリクッキリ見えます✨

トークも楽しいですし、カメラ技術が素晴らしいガイドさんでした。2回目の参加でしたが、毎回満足感は200%です

マウナケア山頂は、現地の方にとって特別な聖霊な場所。是非皆さんにおすすめします！！

At sunset, they made various arrangements for taking photos, which became a great memory. It was also helpful that there were warm drinks available during the lunch.

サンセットではいろいろ工夫して写真をとっていただき、良い記念になりました。お弁当時に温かい飲み物もあったので助かりました。

I participated with my wife and daughter. I wasn't expecting much, but seeing the manta ray swim right in front of us was breathtaking. My wife and daughter said they were also moved by it. I recommended it to acquaintances, and they said they were impressed as well.

妻と娘の三人で参加しました。それほど期待していなかったのですが、マンタが目の前まで来て泳ぐ姿は圧巻でした。妻と娘も感動したと言ってました。知人にもお勧めしましたが、やはり感動したとのことでした。

On January 29, my spouse and I participated in the Mauna Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing Tour. It was our first time on the Big Island, and Mauna Kea was a place we definitely wanted to visit. The tour started with a pickup at 1:45 PM from our accommodation at Kings Land! Our guide, Masa, was kind and explained everything thoroughly, which made us feel at ease during the tour. The warm miso soup and bento we had at the Onizuka Center were very delicious. The choice of music to prevent drowsiness during the altitude sickness measures was excellent! We were energized and had no drowsiness as we reached the summit! We were blessed with good weather, and the sunset from the top was incredibly romantic, allowing us to truly feel the grandeur of the Big Island! The starry sky, which felt like we could reach out and touch it, was beautiful and left us in awe. Masa's explanations about the stars opened up a world we had never known before, doubling our excitement! The photo service provided by our guide captured moments we couldn't have taken ourselves, and we got many shots in our desired poses. Downloading those photos brought us even more joy! This tour to Mauna Kea is highly recommended!

1/29 マウナケア山頂 サンセット&星空観測ツアーに夫婦で参加しました。初めてのハワイ島、マウナケアは是非行ってみたい場所でした。宿泊しているキングスランドへ13:45ピックアップでツアースタート！ガイドのマサさんは親切丁寧に説明してくれ不安なくツアーに参加できました。途中オニツカセンターでいただいた温かいお味噌汁とお弁当とても美味しくいただきました。その後の高山病対策にて眠気を防ぐ音楽のチョイスは最高！ノリノリで眠気一切なく頂上へ！お天気にも恵まれ、山頂からの夕日はとてもロマンチックでハワイ島の壮大さを実感！手を伸ばせば届きそうな星空も綺麗で感動の連続でした。マサさんの星の説明は今まで知らなかった世界へ知ることができ感動も2倍！ガイドさんが撮影してくれるフォトサービスは自分では撮れない写真ばかりで希望のポーズもいっぱい撮影してもらいダウンロードしてみて再度感動です！マウナケアへは一押しのツアーです！

The Catamaran ride was very smooth and comfortable. The crew was wonderful and very informative. Once in the water we had seen a large variety of fish and rays. I would highly recommend this adventure.

Great time getting close to beautiful humpback whales ! The tour was well organized, the boat was comfortable and perfect for viewing whales, and the crew was very informative, knowledgeable, and very attentive to everyone’s needs. Really great job !! My wife and I loved it !

The boat sways quite a bit, so at first, it's hard to walk, but during meal times, we anchor offshore, so you can relax. Moreover, at that time, a manta ray and many dolphins gathered around. I think they must have liked the singing. I can't remember the name, but there was a singer with the most beautiful voice singing live the whole time, and songs that felt very Hawaiian, which was truly soothing.
There was also a vegan menu, and the buffet was satisfying.

Most of the participants were from the mainland United States, and they were drinking and making a lot of noise, so even when I was trying to talk about history and the land, I couldn't hear it next to me. But overall, it was the best cruising experience. If you can't speak English, it might feel long and confusing as you won't know what's happening.

It was a bit disappointing that the sunset was partially hidden by clouds, but it was still a beautiful view. People who participated in the previous trip said they didn't encounter anything, so we were really lucky on our trip.

船はかなり揺れるので、最初は歩くのもやっとだけど、食事のときは沖で停泊するので落ち着いていただけます。しかも、この時、マンタが1匹と、イルカもたくさん集まってきました。きっと、歌声が好きだったんじゃないかと思いますお名前は覚えていないけど、最高に美しい声の歌手がずっと生歌を歌っていて、ハワイっぽい曲とか、本当に癒されました。
Veganメニューもあって、ビュッフェも満足でした。

参加者がほぼアメリカ本土から来た人たちばかりで、お酒飲んで大騒ぎするので、せっかく歴史や土地の話をしているのが隣に行っても聞こえないくらいだったけど、とにかく最高のcruisingでした。英語ができないと、何が起こってるか分らなく長く感じるかもしれないけど。

あとは、夕日が少し雲に隠れてしまったのが残念だけど、それでも美しい景色でした。前の便に参加した人たちは、何も出会えなかったそうで、私たちの便は本当に幸運に恵まれました。

We participated as a couple on January 19th. Our guide, Jin, was very friendly and knowledgeable. After being picked up from the hotel, we took a break and had dinner around 4:00 PM at the foot of the mountain (outdoors). The weather was relatively nice, but it felt a bit cold at that point.

The road to the summit was not well maintained, and the car shook quite a bit. It’s better to take motion sickness medication beforehand. After arriving at the summit, we took photos while watching the sunset. I participated wearing Heattech, a T-shirt, a windbreaker, and long pants, and I borrowed a down jacket and pants, which made the temperature feel just right. However, my feet got quite cold. I only wore one pair of socks, and my toes started to hurt. I regretted not wearing two pairs of socks... (Having foot warmers would have been even better.)

Around 7 PM, we did some stargazing. The night sky was overwhelmingly beautiful compared to what I’ve seen in Japan. The explanations about the stars were very detailed, and even as adults, we were satisfied with the content. After that, we descended and were taken back to the hotel after 10 PM. It was a wonderful tour that allowed us to learn more about Hawaii.

1/19夫婦で参加しました。
アテンドしてくれる仁さんはとってもフレンドリーで物知りな素敵な方でした。
ホテルピックアップ後に休憩を挟み、１６：００頃に山の麓（屋外）での夕食を取りました。比較的良いお天気でしたがこの時点で少し寒さを感じました。
その後、山頂までの道は補装されておらずかなり車が揺れます。
酔い止めは飲んで行った方がベターです。
山頂に到着後はサンセットを見ながら撮影しました。
当方、ヒートテック・Tシャツ・ウィンドブレーカー・長ズボン１枚で参加し、ダウン・ズボンをお借りし体感温度は丁度良かったです。
しかし、足元がかなり冷えます。靴下１枚だけしか履いておらず指先が痛くなりました。靴下２枚履いてくれば良かった。。。と反省。（足元カイロがあれば尚よしと言った感じです）
そして１９時頃天体観測をしました。
日本で見る星空よりも圧倒的な綺麗さでした。
かなり詳しく星の説明をしてくださり、大人の私達でも満足できるような内容でした。
その後下山し２２時過ぎにホテルへ送っていただきました。
ハワイの事をより知れた素敵なツアーでした。

From the hotel pickup, we took a break for altitude acclimatization twice, and everyone in the car was in perfect condition. The explanations about the Big Island during the journey included basic information as well as insights that only locals would know, which broadened our perspective for the rest of the itinerary and made it interesting. The lunch at the Onizuka Visitor Center was described as "normal taste for those coming from Japan," but I actually thought it was tastier than the bento I bought yesterday! The highlight was that there was almost no wind, and under the new moon, we got to see an incredibly bright starry sky that exceeded our expectations! If I have the chance to go to the Big Island again, I would definitely want to join this tour once more.

ホテルのお迎えから、二回の高地順応を兼ねての休憩を入れてもらい、車中のメンバー全員が体調万全で行くことができました。
道中のハワイ島の説明も基本情報から、地元の方達しかしらない情報まで話してくださり、ツアー後の日程でも見る視点が広がり面白かったです。
オニツカビジターセンターでのお弁当も「日本からこられた方には普通～の味ですが・・・」と言われてましたが、逆に(昨日、購入したお弁当より美味しいなｗ)と思える味！
一番は風もほとんどなく、新月の中で、想像以上の明るい星空を見れて最高でした！またハワイ島に行くことがあれば、もう一度行きたいと思うツアーでした。

From the hotel pickup, we took a break and headed to the Onizuka Center, where we had dinner and acclimatized as we made our way to the summit.
The sunset was wonderful, and we were able to take various photos.
During the stargazing, we could see many stars while listening to stories about the constellations.
The guide's explanations, various information, and the many photos taken made for a very satisfying tour.
It depends on the weather, but we heard that the summit can only be accessed until the end of February, so we were glad we could go.

夫婦2人で参加しました。
ホテルへのお迎えから休憩を挟んでオニズカセンターに行き夕食を食べ高度に順応しながら山頂へ向かいました。
サンセットは素晴らしく、色んな写真も撮って頂きました。
星空鑑賞も星座の話を聞きながらたくさんの星を見る事ができました。
ガイドさんの説明、色々な案内、写真も一杯取ってもらえた大満足のツアーでした。
天候次第のツアーになりますが山頂に行けるのは2月一杯までとの話もあり行けて良かったです。
