Due to the location of our stay, we participated in the tour departing from Chatan. The location is near "American Village," making it efficient for sightseeing after the tour.

Since it was the peak season for whale watching, the relatively large boat was fully booked. Most of the passengers were Asian tourists. Those who sat in the open (uncovered) seats enjoyed the fresh air but ended up soaked from the splashes by the time we returned, so I recommend choosing seats towards the back when boarding.

It can be quite rocky, so if you're prone to motion sickness, taking medication is essential.

After arriving at the spot, we chased after the whales, moving around quietly. During that time, we were able to spot whales several times. I would love for you to experience it in detail, but it’s quite a rare experience, especially recommended for those with children!

滞在場所の都合上、北谷発に参加。場所は「アメリカンビレッジ」のそばですのでツアー後の観光にも効率が良いです。
ホエールウォッチングの繁盛期ということもあり、割りと大きめの船も満席状態。大半はアジア系の観光客。開放感で外側(囲いのない)の席に座った人は帰る頃には波しぶきでビショビショになってましたので、乗船時は奥の席をおすすめします。
結構ゆれますので、酔いに心配な方は薬は必須。
スポット到着後はクジラを追いかけ地味に移動を繰り返します。その間何度かクジラを発見することが出来ます。詳しくは体験して頂きたいですが、なかなか貴重な体験ですので、お子さんのいる方には特におすすめします！

Okinawa is the memorable destination of our honeymoon 36 years ago, and this time we were able to participate in a course that included the Kouri Island Bridge, Churaumi Aquarium, and Mihama American Village, which I had long wanted to visit. The bus picked up about 40 passengers from various locations in Naha City, creating a lively tour with five different languages being spoken. The guide provided assistance through headphones in eight languages, which was quite high-tech.

After about an hour and a half, we crossed the Kouri Bridge, and the stunning view of the bridge and the blue ocean from the beach was just as magnificent as I had expected. Next, we headed to the Churaumi Aquarium, which my wife was very much looking forward to. Due to the performance schedule, we were first captivated by the adorable dolphin show at the "Okinchan Theater," and later, we were overwhelmed by the grandeur of the large tank where the giant whale sharks swim gracefully. The three-hour stay allowed us to explore at a leisurely pace, which was even better.

Finally, at Mihama American Village, we enjoyed an American-style experience, making effective use of our time there for about two and a half hours, indulging in meals, shopping, and even enjoying the landmark Ferris wheel. I had heard that some participants from overseas might be a bit loose with time, but this time everything went smoothly, making for an even better tour.

沖縄は３６年前の記念すべき新婚旅行の地、今回はかねてより行きたいと思っていた古宇利島大橋や美ら海水族館、美浜アメリカンビレッジと三点そろったコースに参加することができました。バスは那覇市内のピックアップ場所を巡り約４０名が乗車、なんと５か国の言葉が飛び交うにぎやかなツアーに。ガイドは８か国語対応のイヤフォンを通しての対応、なんともハイテクになったものです。さて、バスは一時間半ほどで古宇利大橋を渡り渡島、浜辺から見る大橋と青い海の見事な景観はやはり予想通りの素晴らしいものでした。次は妻が大変期待していた美ら海水族館へ、まずは上演時間の都合で「おきちゃん劇場」でイルカたちのかわいい演技に魅了され、その後水族館内部では巨大ジンベイザメが優雅に泳ぐ大水槽の迫力に圧倒されました。滞在時間も三時間とゆっくり見学できたのがさらに良かった。最後は美浜アメリカンビレッジでアメリカンテーストに染まりながら、ここも約二時間半の時間を有効に使って食事やショッピング、ランドマークの観覧車まで楽しむことができました。海外から参加される方には時間にルーズな方もおられると聞いていましたが、今回はそういったこともなくスムーズなスケジュールの進行でさらにいいツアーとなりました。

The sunset, no matter how many times I see it, excites me! The view from the boat is something special. Perhaps because it's close to Naha Airport, planes also fly across the sunset, which is romantic. Mr. Matsumoto's singing inside the boat, mixed with Okinawan songs, is wonderful. The staff were also friendly and made it enjoyable, so I never got bored. If you're wondering where to have dinner in Okinawa, I definitely recommend this cruise. I'll participate again!

サンセット、何度みても男なにんに興奮！！
船からみる光景は一味違います。
那覇空港に近いせいか飛行機もサンセットを横切り飛んでてロマンチックです。
船内のマツモトさんの歌声も沖縄の歌をとりまぜ素晴らしいです。
スタッフの皆様も気軽に声をかけてくれ退屈しず楽しかったです。
沖縄で夕食をどこで食べようか悩んでたら是非このクルーズをお勧めします。
また参加しますね。

In Nagoya, it snowed the day before yesterday, while Okinawa's weather is unpredictable, with the forecast for the day being cloudy. It seems to be a hot 22 degrees, which is incomparable to Nagoya. When we departed at 9 AM, there were glimpses of sunshine, and I felt grateful for my usual good behavior and praised myself. After about 30 minutes on the cruise ship, we arrived at the point, and my wife excitedly told me, "Look! A whale!" I turned my gaze and felt excited too! The captain informed us that there was a whale where it had spouted water, so we eagerly scanned the surface of the sea. Then we saw another whale, and the excitement was overwhelming! The captain dashed towards it! We were surprisingly close to it. It takes patience, but the satisfaction of spotting one is incredible. It was a very satisfying cruise. Since we were on the ship for nearly two hours, those who are not confident should take motion sickness medication. It was fun!! I will participate again. I will keep this excitement until then. Thank you!

名古屋では前々日に雪、沖縄の天気は気まぐれ週間天気とにらめっこで当日の予報は曇り。
暑い22度らしく名古屋と比べものにならない。1便9時出航時は晴れ間も覗き日頃のおこないに感謝と自分をほめる。クルーズ船で30分ほどでポイント？に到着、隣の妻があ！クジラと興奮気味に教えてくれ視線をやると自分までも興奮！！潮を吹いたとこにクジラが居ますと船長の教えで海面をきょろきょろ注目、するとまたクジラ、興奮！！船長が猛ダッシュ！！意外に近くで観れました。根気がいりますが発見した時の満足感はたまりません。大満足なクルーズでした。2時間ちかく船に乗っているので自信のない人は船酔い止めの薬飲んでたほうがいいよ。
楽しかった！！また参加しますね。興奮をそれまで維持します、ありがとうございました。

I gifted this whale watching tour to my sister and her husband for their 25th wedding anniversary. My husband and I also participated, so there were four of us. The whale watching was the highlight of this trip, but while there were a couple of whale spouts, I couldn't see them clearly. The journey there took quite a while, and the waves made the boat rocky, but we managed to endure it because we were excited about seeing whales. However, on the way back, the speed of the boat and the rocking were overwhelming! There was a storm of vomiting from all sides! It was tough. We didn't get seasick, but the experience didn't turn out to be a great memory as we had hoped. It's a shame. The weather was cloudy, but at least it didn't rain, so that was good. Since we are dealing with nature, it's understandable, but I really wanted everyone who participated to see the dynamic sight of the whales! I feel regretful. If there's another opportunity, I would love to go with everyone again! Thank you for the monitor tour! Great job, staff!

今回結婚25周年記念の妹夫婦にこのホエールウォッチングツアーをプレゼントしました。私達夫婦も参加し４人でいきました。今回の旅の一番の楽しみであったホエールウオッチングでしたが、鯨の潮吹きが2.3回あったようですが、よくわかりませんでした。行きも結構時間がかかり波もあったので揺れましたが、鯨に会える期待が大きかったので我慢出来ましたが、帰りの船のスピードと揺れにはまいりました！前から後ろから横から次々と嘔吐の嵐！しんどかったです。私達は船酔いはしませんでしたが、せっかくの楽しみがなんかあまりいい思い出にはなりませんでした。残念でした。天気は曇りで雨が降らなかっただけでも良かったです。自然が相手ですから仕方ないですが、ダイナミックな鯨の姿今回参加した皆んなに見せてあげたかった！心残りです。また機会があればみんなで行きたいなあ！と思います！モニターツアーまたよろしくお願いします！スタッフさんお疲れ様でした！

I participated in this trip because I wanted to show my husband the dynamic appearance of whales. I understand that it's about facing nature, but it was very disappointing that we only saw the spout a couple of times and the tail in the distance! To make matters worse, we were running late on the way back, and the boat was going too fast. We were splashed by the waves, and because of the roughness, many people were getting seasick and vomiting. It was unbearable to see the mess in front of us on the boat. I understand the staff's intention to help us see the whales, but I wonder if it would have been better to leave with the disappointment of not seeing them rather than the feeling of nausea. All I have left are the scenes from the boat! I really wanted to see the big whale! I hope to have another chance to try again next time.

今回主人に鯨のダイナミックな姿を見せてあげたいと思い参加しました。自然との向き合いなので仕方ないなと思いますが、噴気だけ2.3回尾が遠くにすこし見えただけでとても残念でした！おまけに帰り時間が押していて船のスピードが激しすぎました。波にあたって水しぶきはあるわ、揺れが激しかった為あちらこちらから、酔われて吐かれてました。汚物が前の方にかかったりして見るのも耐え難い船上でした。なんとか見させてあげようというスタッフさんの気持ちはわかりますが、吐いて辛かったという気持ちが残ってしまうよりは、見えなかった残念の気持ちが残った方が良かったのかな？と私は思いました。船上での光景しかのこりませんでした！大きなクジラの体が見たかったです！今度また機会があったらリベンジしたいなあと思っています。

I would like to cover all five courses of the Oishi Forest Mountain. I hope for a course that allows enough time, including all courses in the morning and afternoon, as well as Cape Hedo.

I would like a new course that includes Bios no Oka and the Southeast Botanical Garden.

I was requested by my wife and child to go mangrove kayaking, and I wasn't very enthusiastic about it at first, but I ended up having a great time. Our guide, Mr. Nishi, shared interesting and informative stories. My son said he wants to come back next year, so it seems like it became a wonderful memory for him. It was also fun to paddle together with my son. The access is good, so I highly recommend it.

マングローブカヤックを妻子からリクエストされ、あまり乗り気ではなかったのですが大変楽しめました。ガイドの西さんの話は面白くためになりました。息子はまた来年も行きたいといい思い出になったみたい。息子と協力して漕いだことも楽しかったです。アクセスも良いのでオススメです。

For our half-day visit to Taketomi Island, we didn't feel any inconvenience with the ferry service, as it operated the same number of times as other companies. We were able to take our time enjoying activities like riding water buffalo and sightseeing around the island.

　竹富島に半日だけの予定の私たちには、船便も他社と同じ回数で不便を感じませんでした。
水牛にのったり、島を観光したりとゆっくり過ごせました。

I participated in the 9 AM departure.
To start with the results of the whale watching, I was able to see a mother and baby whale swimming together! Although I only saw their backs, it was heartwarming to witness them swimming close to each other, and I was even able to see them spouting water occasionally.

As for the process leading up to the encounter, first, we took a free shuttle to the meeting point, which was a really large bus typically used for tours (this may vary depending on the number of participants). Since it can't enter narrow roads, I recommend that those considering the free shuttle book a hotel close to the main roads.

During the ride, we were given a paper with participation guidelines, which we read and signed.

After picking up participants from their hotels, we arrived at Mie Castle Port. When I got off the bus, I noticed that there were mostly foreigners, particularly many from China.

At the waiting area, we submitted the signed guidelines from the bus, and at this time, I received a ticket, a postcard, and a whale book (one per group). The waiting area has restrooms and a smoking area. Although both are available on the boat, it seems better to take care of that beforehand.

It seems that the color of the ticket we received during participant confirmation determines which boat we would board; mine was green, corresponding to the boat in the photo. The boat had a maximum capacity of 70, but I think there were about 30 to 40 people on board. We were given life jackets upon boarding, which were easy to wear as they were the type you put on and tie. However, the life jackets had significant insulation, and it got hot, so I took off my down jacket and put the life jacket back on. I wasn't particularly cold throughout the trip. There were pink plastic bags hanging everywhere on the first floor of the boat, ready for anyone who might get seasick.

It was said that it was dangerous to go up to the second floor until we were a certain distance offshore, so I sat on the first floor by the side of the boat, and we finally set sail.

About 10 minutes after leaving the port, the second floor was opened up. When I went up, they handed me a raincoat, but the waves were so rough and windy that I was worried about being blown away… At that moment, a staff member guided me to a lower seat, saying, "This area is less bumpy." While it was indeed less bumpy, the rough waves and wind remained, so I gave up on wearing the raincoat halfway through.

After that, we were tossed around for about 30 minutes like a thrilling amusement ride. I was laughing the whole time due to the sheer fun of it. It really rocked a lot, so as recommended, if you don't wear non-slip sneakers, you might end up taking an unintended dive…

For those who are prone to motion sickness or have never been on a small boat, it's advisable not to go up to the second floor and to take motion sickness medication as recommended for peace of mind.

Then, as the boat slowed down… the main attraction made its appearance! As I mentioned at the beginning, it was very easy to spot the whales because the captain directed the boat toward the direction the whales were heading.

While watching, the situation was indeed bumpy due to the high waves. If you try to watch from the second floor, there is a steering seat in front, and behind it, there is a rope to hold onto. Depending on the waves and the situation of the people behind, the rope can dig into your stomach, and my friend who was with me started to feel unwell.

After about 30 minutes of watching the whales, the boat made a U-turn, and I wondered what was happening, only to find out we were heading back to the port (laughs). The return trip was also somewhat bumpy, but it felt less so than the outbound trip.

We returned to the port in about two hours. Since I had a flight scheduled afterward, I didn't use the shuttle. I picked up my luggage from the bus, called a taxi at the waiting area with a sign, and head

クジラの結果から書きますと親子クジラが仲良く泳ぐ姿に出会えました‼︎
見られたのは背中だけでしたが、
母クジラと子クジラが寄り添って泳いでいるのがわかり、とても微笑ましい光景で、時折潮吹きも見ることができました。

出会うまでの過程は、
まず、無料送迎で集合場所へ、ツアーなどで使われるような本当に大型のバスでした。(これは参加人数などで変わるのかもしれません。)
細い道には入れない為、
無料送迎を考えている方は
主要道路に近いホテルを取る事をオススメします。

道中、バスの中で、参加の注意事項が記載された紙を渡され、それを一読し、サイン欄に名前を記入します。

送迎希望参加者のホテルを周り三重城港へ、
バスを降りてみると外人さんばかりでした。
特に中国の方が多かったです。

待合所にてバス内でサインをした注意事項を提出、
この時チケットとポストカードとクジラブック(こちらは1グループに1冊)を貰いました。
待合所にはトイレ、喫煙所もあります。
船内にも両方あるものの、こちらで済ませておいた方が良さそうです。

参加者確認の際にもらったチケットの色で
乗る船が分かれるようで、私は緑色で写真の船でした。
船に最大乗船人数が70と書いてありましたが、載っていたの大体30〜40人くらいだったと思います。
乗船時ライフジャケットの配布があり、
羽織って紐で結ぶタイプのものだったので、着用は簡単でした。
ところが、ライフジャケットにかなりの保温効果があり、暑かったのでダウンジャケットを着ていたのですが脱いで、再ライフジャケット装着しました。
最後まで特に寒くは無かったです。
船内1階の至る所にピンク色のビニール袋が下げてあり、
酔ってしまった方にすぐ対応出来るようになってました。

ある程度沖に出ないと2階に上がるのは危ないそうで
船内脇の段差に1階に座り、いよいよ出航です。

港を出て10分程で2階が解放され、2階に上がる時にカッパを手渡してくれたのですが、
上がった先は荒波暴風で中々着られないどころか、
飛ばされないか不安でした…
その時スタッフの方が「こちらの方が揺れがマシですよ。」と低めの座席に誘導してくれましたが、
確かに揺れはマシなものの荒波暴風は変わらない為、
中途半端に着て諦めました。

その後、30分程上下左右に揺さぶられ系絶叫アトラクションです。
あまりの楽しさにずっと爆笑していました。
本当にかなり揺れるので推奨されている通り
滑りにくいスニーカーで行かないと
不本意なダイビングをする事になりそうです…

乗り物酔いしやすい方はもちろん、小型の船に乗った事がない方は2階には上がらず、こちらも推奨されている通り酔い止めを飲んでおいた方が安心です。

そして、船のスピードが緩まり…
主役のご登場です‼︎
見られた感想としては冒頭の記載通り、
船長がクジラの向かって行く方向に船を向けてくれるのでとても見つけやすかったです。

見ている時の状況は、やはり波が高いので揺れます。
2階で見ようとすると、前の方に操舵席があり、その後ろにロープが張ってあるので、それに捕まって見ることになるのですが、揺れや後ろの人の状況によってお腹にロープがめり込んで同乗していた友達は具合が悪くなっていました。

大体30分程クジラを眺め、ふと船がUターンして、何かな？と思ったら帰港でした（笑）
帰りもそれなりに揺れましたが行きより揺れがましな気がしました。

大体2時間ほどで港に戻り、
その後飛行機に乗る予定だったので、送迎は使わず
バスに預けていた荷物を引取り、
待合所に看板のあるタクシーを呼んで
那覇空港に向かいました。

そこそこ濡れてしまうので、髪がパキパキになります。
ツアー参加後はシャワーを浴びる時間を作った方が良さそうです。

今回見られたのは、悠々泳ぐ姿のみなので
派手さはありませんでしたが、これからのシーズンオスのクジラに会えたりするとまた違うのかもしれません。

私は船が楽しかったので、クジラに会えるかは期待し過ぎず、アトラクション目的でまた参加させて頂きたいと思います。

This tour departs from Naha, so I joined midway from Chatan. The members were multinational, and the explanations were in both Japanese and English, but since the guide was Japanese, there were no particular issues. The explanations along the way were provided through a guide device, and there was no discomfort with that. Although the weather wasn't very good, I was glad that we had enough time to explore Kouri Island and visit the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium. Especially since the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is large, I thought you would need about three hours to see everything. This was my first time sightseeing in Okinawa, and I was satisfied.

本コースは那覇発なので北谷から途中参加になる。メンバーは多国籍であり、日本語と英語での説明であったが、ガイドが日本人なので特に問題なかった。途中の説明はガイド装置で説明されたが違和感も無かった。天気があまり良くなかったが、古宇利島の散策も美ら海水族館の見学も十分に時間が取れて良かった。特に美ら海水族館は広いので３時間程度ないと観て回れないと思った。今回が初めての沖縄観光であったけど満足しました。

I used this service again, just like last time. This time, we were on a slightly larger boat, and the second floor had an open space, which felt really nice with the breeze!

Before heading out to sea, we received explanations about whale watching, which led to many discoveries!

Since I was able to see whales during the same period last time, I think there's a pretty good chance of spotting them again (^^).

When the boat is moving fast, it's fine, but when searching for whales, it might be tough for those who are prone to seasickness... You can buy motion sickness medication (in drink form) at the reception, so it might be a good idea to take some!

This time, I felt like we were able to see whales quite frequentlyヽ(*´∀｀)ノ

2階は吹き抜け(？)になっていて
風がとても気持ち良かったです！！

沖に出るまでに、ホエールウォッチングの
説明をしてもらえるので色んな発見になりました！

前回も同じ時期に行って見れたので
かなりの確率でクジラを見れると思います(^^)

船のスピードが出ている時はいいのですが
クジラ探しをしている時は
船酔いしやすい方は辛いかもしれません。。。
受付をする場所で酔い止め(ドリンクタイプ)を
購入出来るので飲んでおくといいかもしれないです！

I think it was great that we could efficiently visit the spots! However, I was concerned about the frequent malfunctions of the audio guide machines... It might be due to the season, but I noticed that there were many foreign tourists.

効率よくスポットに回れて良かったと思います！
ただ、自動音声ガイド機の故障が多いことが気になりました……
時期のせいかもですが外国人観光客が多いなと思ったのが印象です。

I have been to Okinawa Island several times, but this tour allowed me to visit places I had never been to before, such as Daichi Forest and Cape Hedo. I also enjoyed a delicious buffet for lunch, and I was very satisfied.

沖縄本島には、何度か行きましたが、このツアーは今まで行ったことがなかった大石林山や辺戸岬に行くことができ、お昼はおいしいビュッフェを堪能することができ、大満足でした。

It was a trip with my 2-year-and-10-month-old daughter and three generations of our family. We were able to fully enjoy the unique experiences of Mishima, and it was a lot of fun! There wasn't much wasted time, so my little daughter was able to enjoy herself as well. The sanshin music on the water buffalo cart was great!

2才10か月の娘と三世代での旅でした。
三島それぞれの楽しさを満喫できて、とても楽しかったです！時間にも待ち時間など無駄があまりなくて、小さい娘も楽しめました。水牛車の方の三線よかったです☆

I've loved whales since I was young, and I wanted to see one up close at least once in my life, so I participated in this tour. Since they are wild animals, I listened to the guide's explanation that encountering them depends on luck, which made me nervous, but fortunately, we encountered a mother and her calf. I've seen footage on TV, but seeing them in person was incredibly moving. The kids were also thrilled! If you're not good on boats, it might be a good idea to take some motion sickness medication beforehand.

昔からクジラが好きで、一生のうちで一回は間近でクジラを見てみたくて参加しました。自然の生き物なので、時期的に遭遇出来るかは運だとガイドさんの説明を聞いて、ドキドキしましたが、幸運にも親子のクジラに遭遇できました。テレビなどで映像は見たことがありましたが、やはり実物は最高に感動しました。子供たちも大喜びしてました～。船が苦手な方は事前に酔い止めの薬を飲んでおいたほうがいいかもです。

I participated in a tour on December 26. The weather was supposed to be good and I was told I wouldn't get wet, but while sitting outside on the boat, I ended up completely soaked. Unfortunately, we spent three hours on the boat without seeing anything and had to return. I was continuously vomiting due to seasickness. I understand it's nature, but it turned into a very sad memory for me.

12月26日にツアーに参加しました。天候も良く濡れることは無いとのことでしたが、船の外に座っていたところびしょ濡れになりました。我々は運が悪く3時間船に乗ったまま何も見えずに戻ってきました。わたしは船酔いでずっと吐き続けていました。自然相手のことなのでしょうがないのですが、とても悲しい思い出となりました、(;´д｀)トホホ。。

It was a day that seemed normal, but there was no shaking, and the visibility underwater was not bad. The viewing spot stayed longer than I expected, so I was able to enjoy it slowly.
The comfort on the boat was also good. I was happy to hear explanations about the scenery visible from the deck.

After that, I had lunch at the Pacific Hotel, which offered a variety of Japanese and Western dishes, and there were plenty of drink options as well, so I was very satisfied.

I would like to use this again when I go to Okinawa.

当日は普通に見えるとうレベルの日でしたが、揺れもなく、海中の視界も悪くなかったです。鑑賞スポットで思ったより長く停滞してくれていたので、ゆっくり楽しめました。
船の居心地もいいです。デッキから見れる景色の説明も聞けるので嬉しかったです。

その後、パシフィックホテルのランチを頂きましたが、これが和洋折衷種類も多く、ドリンクの種類も豊富で、大満足でした。

また、沖縄に行ったら利用したいです。

I had a great time on my first sea kayaking experience! With Matt's various explanations and lots of laughter, it became a memorable start to 2017. The winter sea in Okinawa was clear and beautiful. I’ll work hard so we can go play together again!

初めてのシーカヤックとっても楽しめました♪マッチさんに色々ご解説頂きながら、わいわい笑いながら、思い出に残る2017年最高のスタートとなりました(^^)冬の沖縄の海は透き通っていて綺麗でした。また2人で遊びに行けるように仕事頑張ります！

This Bus Tour was excellent! Our family enjoyed it very much. We split our week between Naha and Onna cities. We took the bus from Kencho-mae in Naha with our luggages to the Churaumi Aquarium and got dropped off at Rizzan Seapark Tancha Bay. This took care of our transportation between Naha to Onna. Very nice Tour guide and bus driver. We would definitely use Veltra again when we go to Okinawa. Thank you!!

Due to the typhoon, I couldn't step out of the hotel for a whole day. The next day, I arrived at Kabira Bay, which I had been most eager to visit on Ishigaki Island, by rental car. Because of low tide, the glass-bottom boat couldn't set sail, so I drove around the area until the afternoon before boarding. The water was murky due to the typhoon, but I could see tropical fish and giant clams. The overall scenery of Kabira Bay, with the contrast of the sea's color and the island's greenery, was stunning. There is an observation deck at the back of the ticket booth, and the view from there is the best.

台風の影響により1日はホテルから1歩も出られなかった。
翌日レンタカーで石垣島で1番訪れたかった川平湾に到着。干潮のためグラスボートは出航できず、午後になるまで近くをドライブして乗船しました。台風の後なので海中は濁っていましたが、熱帯魚やシャコガイが見えました。
川平湾は水中よりも全体の景色、海の色・島の緑のコントラストが素晴らしかったです。
チケット売り場の奥に見晴らし台がありそこからの眺めが1番です。

About 15 minutes from Ishigaki Port Ferry Terminal, upon landing at Taketomi Port, a shuttle bus is waiting to take you to the center of the village located almost in the middle of the island. After about 5 minutes, you arrive at the place where the water buffalo carts depart, and from there, a 30-minute water buffalo cart tour begins. You progress between traditional Yaeyama buildings characterized by coral stone walls and red-tiled roofs. The classic "Asiriya Yunta" is sung by the driver and guide accompanied by the sanshin, filling the journey with a sense of adventure. It's significantly cheaper than paying for the ferry and water buffalo cart tour separately.

石垣港離島ターミナルから約１５分、竹富港に上陸すると、島のほぼ中央にある集落の中心に向かう送迎バスが待っている。５分ほどで水牛車の発着する場所に到着し、そこから約３０分の水牛車観光が始まる。サンゴの石を積み重ねた垣根と赤瓦の屋根が特徴な八重山の伝統的な建物の間を進む。定番の「安里屋ユンタ」も御者兼ガイドさんが三線の伴奏で唄って、一気に旅情が満たされる旅となりました。船代と水牛車観光を別々に支払うよりかなり格安。

It was a very efficient tour that allowed us to visit Taketomi Island, Iriomote Island, and Yufu Island. I hope to participate in various tours again if the opportunity arises.

On December 26th, I experienced this with my elderly mother, starting at 9 AM.

The day before, I received a call while I was still on the plane regarding the pickup, but since there were no messages, I felt anxious. In the end, I called them at night. All other communications were via email, so I thought it would be better to receive important information through email.

The pickup from the Regency Hotel was at 8:05 AM, and we were the first ones. As people from various Asian countries boarded, it felt like we were traveling abroad, filled with a sense of exoticism.

Before boarding, we signed in at a small hut and received a photo of a whale as a special gift along with a simple pair of binoculars. We were fine, but there were others who hadn’t received theirs after boarding, and they were told they would be given them after confirming once we got off, so I recommend being proactive and collecting them before boarding.

The boat had two types of seating: one in the dark bow and another with large windows at the back. The back was filled with foreigners, leaving some Japanese families and a few foreigners seated in the bow where they couldn’t see outside. Since the view was blocked unless you stood up and the engine noise was very loud, many people ended up falling asleep.

Once we set sail, the boat started to sway, and about 15 minutes in, some people in the bow began to feel nauseous. It seems everyone took motion sickness medication before boarding, so those who are unsure should be prepared. Also, those prone to seasickness might find it easier to manage if they can see outside.

After a little over an hour, we could see the Kerama Islands, which was the spot, and the engine stopped, causing the swaying to worsen.

Wearing windbreakers and life jackets was recommended to avoid getting wet, but with the heat, everyone was sweating profusely. Moreover, the boat was dark and lacked ventilation, causing even those who had been fine until then to feel unwell.

Everyone hurriedly took off their outerwear. I also planned to change into a lighter down jacket when going out onto the deck.

If a whale had appeared at that moment, it would have lifted everyone's spirits, but nature doesn’t always cooperate.

We anchored for about 20 minutes, but no whales showed up, and many people felt sick. Even those in the back with a good view started to feel unwell.

However, it’s a bit strange to say, but there was hardly any smell, so it didn’t lead to others feeling sick as well. The provided etiquette bags were double-layered and plentiful, which was reassuring. For those worried, it’s better to bring water to rinse your mouth.

Those who were feeling very nauseous were taken to the back where the wind was blowing, and it seemed to help them a bit as they could see the scenery. About ten people were being assisted at the back that day.

We reluctantly moved to wait for the whales to appear, but there were no sounds even from the underwater microphone, and we had to give up and return.

Upon returning to the port, the group representative handed out one boarding ticket each. We didn’t receive one each, so I’m a bit worried about whether only one person can retry in case of a second attempt, or if everyone can. There was no mention of this.

I had heard that the chances of seeing whales are low until mid-January, and that turned out to be true.

It was disappointing that we couldn’t fully enjoy the whale watching tour.

12月26日午前9時開始を老齢の母と二人で体験しました。

前日のピックアップの連絡はまだ飛行機で移動中に一度電話をいただき、伝言等がないため不安でした。
結局こちらから夜に電話しました。
他の連絡は全てメールでいただいたので大事な連絡はメールが良いなあと思いました。

リージェンシーホテルのピックアップは８時５分で一番乗りでした。次々とアジア圏の方が乗り込み異国情緒漂い海外に観光したような気分でした。

乗船前に小屋の中で署名をしたり特典のクジラの写真と簡易双眼鏡をいただきました。
私達は大丈夫でしたが乗船してからもらってない方がいらして、降りたあとに確認してから渡すと言われていたので、乗る前に自分たちで積極的に受けとるのがお勧めです。

船は前方の暗い船底？と後方の広い窓の２タイプの座席があり、後方は全て外国の方で埋まってしまい船底の外が見えない席に一部の外国の方と日本人の何家族が座りました。景色が立ち上がらないと見えないのとエンジン音がすごく大きく話も出来ないので皆さん寝てしまう方が多かったです。

出航すると15分位から船底タイプの座席から吐く方が出るほど船は揺れました。皆さん乗船前に酔い止め薬はのんでいたそうなので自信がない方は覚悟が必用です。
また酔う可能性のある方は外が見える方が酔いにくいかと思います。

一時間少し乗ったところで慶良間諸島が見え、こちらがスポットだそうで、エンジンが止まり揺れがひどくなりました。

濡れたりしないようウインドブレイカー等の着用が薦められていますが、それと救命胴衣の着用でかなりうだるような暑さで、皆さん汗だくでした。
しかも船内は暗く風が通らないので、今まで大丈夫だった方まで具合が悪くなりました。

慌てて皆さん着ていたアウターを脱ぎました。私もデッキに出るときに着直そうと薄いダウンを脱ぎました。

ここでクジラが出現してくれたら皆さん気分が変わって良かったのだと思いますが、自然相手はそううまくはいきません。

20分ほど停泊しましたがクジラは現れず吐く方が沢山いました。
見晴らしの良い後方からもさすがに具合が悪くなる方が出ました。

ただし、変な話で恐縮ですが、皆さん量はあまりもどさないのか殆ど臭いがしなかったのでつられて具合が悪くなるようなことはありません。
用意されたエチケット袋も二重で枚数も沢山準備がありその点は安心できます。心配な方は口をすすぐお水は持参された方が良いです。

また酔いがひどい方は最後尾の風が当たる場所にスタッフさんに連れられていき景色も見え少しは楽なように見えました。
この日は10人くらい最後尾でお世話になっていました。

やむなく場所を移動してクジラの出現を待ちましたが水中マイクでも声もせず諦めて戻ることになりました。

港に戻りグループの代表に１枚ずつ乗船券を渡されました。一人１枚ずつはいただけなかったのですが万が一再チャレンジは一人だけなのでしょうか？それとも全員可能なのでしょうか？
記載がないので少し心配です。

1月中旬でないと見られる確率が低いと聞いてはいましたがその通りでした。

本当の良さは味わえないままのホエールウォッチングツァーになり残念でした。

It was an experience in late December, but the sea was calm and it was a warm day, so I had a fun adventure. Next, I want to go snorkeling.

12月下旬の体験でしたが、海も穏やかで暖かい日だったので楽しく冒険できました。
次はシュノーケリングしたいです。

I was really looking forward to seeing the whales, and I'm glad I got to see them. I wish I could have seen them a little closer. I felt it was a bit hot inside the boat. When we spotted the whales, everyone stood up at once, which felt a little dangerous. But overall, I was satisfied.

もう少し近くで見たかったですね。
船の中はちょっと暑かったと感じました。
クジラを発見した時にみんな一斉の方向に立つのでちょっと危ないと感じました。でも全体的に満足しました。

I was looking forward to possibly seeing sea turtles based on reviews. On the day of the trip, the weather was partly sunny but mostly cloudy. After completing the check-in, just before departure, the staff announced the visibility level (level 5 being the best). That day, it was level 2, which meant visibility was poor. (I heard level 1 means you can't see anything... maybe we should cancel then.) Once we got out to sea, we moved to the lower deck of the boat. The visibility was indeed as the staff had said, bad... But even with that, we could see some things. Mainly corals, small fish, and sea snakes, with the occasional larger, less cute fish. Haha. I definitely think it's best to go during the peak season on a sunny day. I suggest not rushing your reservation; it might be better to check the weekly weather forecast first. Also, even if it's hot in town, it can be quite windy on the boat, so I recommend bringing a jacket.

口コミで、運がよければウミガメが見られるかも…とのことで、楽しみにしていました。
当日、天気はいくらか晴れ間が見えるものの曇り。受付を終わらせ、出発直前にスタッフから視界のレベルの発表がありました。(レベル５が最高)
この日はレベル２。見えづらい、とのこと。(レベル１は見えないらしい…それ、中止にしようよ)
船で沖に出たところで船内の地下に移動。視界は、スタッフの言う通り悪い…。
でも悪いなりに、それなりには見えました。
主にサンゴと小魚と、ウミヘビ。たまに大きめのかわいくない魚。笑
やはりベストシーズンで天気のいい日に行くのがいいと思いました。
予約は急がず、週間天気予報を見てからでも遅くないかなと。
あと、町は暑くても、船上は結構風が強いので、上着の持参をオススメします。

I gained energy from the power spot. The walking course at Oishi Mountain Forest is just the right distance and allows you to enjoy both the sea and the mountains. For lunch, I recommend a beautiful restaurant with a view of the beach where you can relax and eat. After enjoying a leisurely lunch, we headed to the aquarium and stayed for about two hours. I was very satisfied that we could take our time and play without rushing. I plan to go again.

パワースポットで元気をもらいました。大石山林で距離的にちょうどいい散歩コースは海も山も満喫できます。お昼はビーチの見える綺麗なレストランでゆっくり食べられてオススメです。ゆっくりお昼を食べてから水族館へ向かい、2時間ぐらい滞在しました。急がらなくてのんびり遊べるのは大変満足しました。また行こうと思います。
