I booked this tour in Shiretoko for late August. However, it rained on the day of the tour. By the meeting time at 9 AM, the rain had intensified.

The female guide provided rubber boots and raincoats, saying that the tour would go on as long as it was manageable. She mentioned that the rain would lessen in the forest, but since my journey was still ongoing and I didn't want to catch a cold during the pandemic, I decided to cancel the tour at the last minute.

Basically, it seems that this tour does not allow for shortening or leaving midway (possibly due to concerns about bears). I would like to try again.

8月下旬に知床のこちらのツアーを予約しました。
だけど、当日は雨。9時の集合時刻頃には雨が一層強くなりました。

ガイドの女性の方は、長靴と合羽も用意してくださり、これぐらいならツアーはしますよとのこと。森の中は雨が弱まりますとのことでしたが、旅もまだ続けるので、コロナ禍で風邪にかかっては大変と思い、直前でツアーは断念した次第です。

基本、このツアーは短縮と途中離脱はできないそうです。（熊のこともあるようです）
また、再チャレンジしたいな。

On the first day, I walked a round trip of 22 kilometers (about 42,000 steps) to Jomon Sugi! It was my personal best record for a day! The second day was at Shiratani Unsuikyo, but it rained all day, and even though the distance was only 5 kilometers, it was really tough! The tour guide on the first day, Mr. Kyoku, was truly wonderful; he was knowledgeable and very considerate, and I really appreciated it! The guide for both days, Mr. Uranishi, was very entertaining, and everyone laughed so much during the tour that we were more excited than when we saw Yakusugi! Also, we were with the same group for both days, and everyone was really nice, making for a very comfortable time!

一日目縄文杉ツアー、往復22キロ(約4万2千歩)を徒歩しました！自分の中に一日の最高記録でした！2日目は白谷雲水峡でしたが、一日雨で、5キロしかない距離でもすごく大変でした！一日目のツアーガイドさん「局」さんは大変素晴らしい方でした、知識豊富でお気遣いがよくて本当に感謝しました！2日間のガイドさんは浦西さん、大変面白い方でして、ツアー中に皆さんは笑い過ぎで、屋久(すぎ)杉を見るより盛り上がりました！そして、2日間ツアーとも同じ仲間でしたが皆様はとても良い方々でしたが、本当に快適な時間を過ごしていました！

I participated with a friend, a middle-aged woman (laughs), from Sapporo city. Since we weren't looking for thrills, I read the reviews and was convinced that we could enjoy it leisurely, so we joined on September 22, the last day of the holiday.

In addition to us, there were two handsome guys in their twenties from the Kanto region, and our guide was a British couple, James and his wife, who was celebrating their first wedding anniversary that day. His wife was beautiful and cute (^O^). The explanations mixed with English gave us a bit of an overseas travel vibe. Don't worry, he speaks Japanese fluently!

The weather was nice, and we had fun jumping into the river and getting soaked like children.

The information about the meeting place and the fact that the staff prepared a changing tent for each person was very helpful, just as everyone mentioned in their reviews.

If I were to add something, I used the public restroom near the meeting place (it's the only restroom), but there was no paper, so I think it's a good idea to bring toilet paper or flushable tissues.

I thought it might be nice to participate again while also showing my friends from outside the area around. Many people around me, even Sapporo residents, think that rafting can only be done in Niseko, so I wish more locals would know about this. I believe the scenery changes with the seasons even on the same course, so I definitely want to participate again.

Oh... one thing... I didn't have a single proof photo that I went rafting. I should have taken a picture before leaving my phone in the car, but the river might not have shown up anyway... I wish I had at least one. I saw in the reviews that there were paid photos, but there weren't any. Expensive photos would be a problem, though...

After we finished, my friend and I had lunch at Koganeyu Onsen and enjoyed the hot springs. On the way back, we bought some fruit at an orchard at the foot of Mount Hakken. It was a very fulfilling day!

連休最終日の９月２２日に参加しました。
私たちの他、関東からの２０代のイケメン君二人組
そしてガイドさんは当日が結婚一周年記念日というイギリス人のジェームスご夫妻、　奥さん美人で可愛いかった(^O^)
英語交じりの説明に何だか海外旅行気分でした。
日本語ペラペラなのでご安心を！
お天気も良く、川への飛び込みもあって子どものようにずぶ濡れになって
遊んで楽しかったです。

集合場所のこと着替えのひとり用テントをスタッフの方が用意してくれることなど、皆さんのクチコミ通りでとても参考になりました。

私から付け加えるとしたら、集合場所の近くの公衆トイレを利用しましたが
（トイレはここだけ）ペーパーがないのでトイレットペーパーか
流せるティッシュを持参したらいいと思います。

今度は道外からの友人の観光案内を兼ねて参加するのもいいかも、と思いました。また私の周りでは札幌市民でもラフティングはニセコに行かなきゃできないと思ってる人多く、もっと市民に知って欲しいと思いました。
同じコースでも四季折々に風景が変わると思うので、是非また参加したいです。

解散後友人と小金湯温泉でお昼を食べて温泉に入り、帰路の途中、八剣山のふもとの果樹園で果物を買いました。
とても充実した一日でした♪

I highly recommend this activity! It was a valuable experience.

I had no prior experience with canoeing and signed up somewhat on a whim. So I went for the half course, haha.

After the explanation, we boarded the boat and started! It was my first experience, but it was so much fun! The hand-paddled boat is completely different. It can maneuver easily, but it was more stable than I expected, making it safe and enjoyable.

The Bibi River was shallow but had very clear and beautiful water. I was also very satisfied to encounter swans on the sandbank!

The staff were foreigners, but they spoke Japanese without any issues and were polite and kind, making the experience enjoyable throughout. They even offered a service for commemorative photos with my own smartphone during the canoeing experience. I was glad this was free!

After reaching the endpoint, there was a shuttle service back to the starting point.

I live in Hokkaido, but there are still many experiences I haven't had in my local area, so I look forward to enjoying various activities in the future!

初体験でしたが楽しい！楽しい！
手漕ぎボートは大違い。小回り出来るが思った以上に安定感があり安心安全で楽しめました。

美美川は水深は浅いがとても澄み切った綺麗な川でした。　中洲では白鳥にも遭遇出来て大満足！

スタッフは外国の方でしたが日本語も問題なく丁寧、親切で終始楽しく過ごす事ができましたよ。
カヌー体験中に自分のスマホで記念撮影のサービスも。
これが無料で良かったです！

終点到着後はスタート地点まで送迎つきです。

北海道在住ですが地元でもまだまだ未体験な事が沢山あるので、今後も色々と楽しみたいですね〜！

I had a great time snorkeling, even though it was only half a day. The waters around Kerama were beautiful. I was able to see fish and sea snakes, making it a tour enjoyable even for beginners. It's also convenient since they provide pick-up and drop-off at designated hotels.

半日でしたが充分シュノーケルを楽しめました。
慶良間の海も綺麗(^^♪。
魚やウミヘビも見れて初心者でも楽しめるツアーです。
指定ホテルへの送迎も付いてるので便利です。

I was very worried about whether I could walk all the way on my first trekking experience, but I was able to finish it very enjoyably. The guide was especially wonderful. We stopped at various points, and the guide explained the plants and took photos, which provided a nice break and change of pace. Additionally, while walking, the guide asked various quizzes about Yakushima, which made it clear that they were trying to entertain the guests, and that was really great. If I have the chance to come to Yakushima again, I would like to request the same guide.

初めてのトレッキングで最後まで歩けるかとても心配でしたが、とても楽しく終えることができました。
特にガイドさんが素晴らしかったです。
途中途中で止まって、植物の説明をしてくれたり写真を撮ったりしてくれたので、休憩がてらの気分転換になりました。
また、歩いている時も色んな屋久島クイズを出してくれたりして、お客さんを楽しませようという気持ちが感じられてとても良かったです。
もし、また屋久島に来る機会があれば同じガイドさんにお願いしたいです。

I experienced SUP for the first time and had a wonderful time paddling through the mangroves. I was also able to enjoy the natural beauty at the waterfall basin. Unfortunately, I couldn't go snorkeling due to the weather, but I enjoyed Yufu Island as an alternative. I hope to come back again while praying for good weather. Thank you very much.

はじめてSUPを体験しましたがマングローブの中を気持ちよく体験できました。滝つぼにも入れて自然を満喫できました。シュノーケリングは天候の都合でできませんでしたが、代わりの由布島も楽しめました。また天候を祈りつつ遊びにきたいと思います。ありがとうございました。

I participated in the latter half of September. It was chilly, so rain gear and warm clothing were necessary. There were shoes available for rent, so you don't need to bring your own. However, there might be hygiene concerns, so if you're worried about that, it's better to bring your own.

Before boarding the boat, there is a steep descent experience. Going down with just one rope was thrilling. You need to be careful in muddy areas. Once on the boat, it's a calm river ride. The river descent itself is not thrilling at all. For those seeking excitement, it might be disappointing. Overall, it felt average, neither good nor bad.

9月後半に参加させてもらいました。
肌寒く雨具など防寒具が必要です。
靴は貸出があったので持参しなくても
大丈夫です。ただし、衛生面は問題ありそうな感じなので気になる方は持参された方がいいかと。
ボートに乗車するまでにかかり急な崖下り体験があります。ロープ1本で下っていくのはスリルがありました。ぬかるんだ泥の場合は注意が必要です。ボートに乗ってからは穏やかな川下りです。川下り自体には全くスリルなどはありません。スリルを求められる方にはガッカリな印象。全体的には可もなく不可もなくとゆう感じでした。

Although it wasn't mentioned in the tour schedule, the round trip from the trailhead to Jomon Sugi is 22 km, which is about 40,000 steps on my pedometer. The guide encouraged us by saying that 99% of people can go and return safely. Along the way, they explained various things about Yakushima's plants and animals, as well as the history of Yakusugi, and we managed to complete the hike while drinking cold stream water. There were four other participants, which I think helped us all finish successfully. Renting shoes, rainwear, and a backpack was definitely the right choice. The shoes were sturdy trekking shoes and fit almost perfectly, and the rainwear was a separate top and bottom, which I think was ideal for walking in the rain. Regarding infection prevention, masks were required on the shuttle bus to the trailhead, and only one person could sit in a two-person seat. During the hike, we removed our masks and maintained some distance while walking. In this tour, I was also glad to see various things besides Yakusugi, such as moss and oddly shaped trees.

ツアースケジュールには記載されていませんでしたが、登山口から縄文杉までの往復で歩く距離は22km、歩数計で約4万歩でした。ガイドさんは99%の人はちゃんと行って帰れますと励ましてくれ、途中、屋久島の植物や動物、屋久杉の歴史についていろいろと説明してくれたり、冷たい沢の水を飲んだりしながら、何とか完歩できました。他に4人の参加メンバーもいたので、完遂できたと思います。今回、シューズ・レインウェア・リュックをレンタルして正解でした。シューズはしっかりとしたトレッキングシューズで、サイズもほぼぴピッタリりでしたし、レインウェアは上下セパレート型で雨の中を歩くのに最適だったと思います。感染予防についてですが、登山口までのシャトルバス内はマスクを着用し、2人がけの席には1人しか座れません。登山中はマスクをはずして、少し間隔を空けて歩きます。今回のツアーでは屋久杉以外にもコケや奇妙な形の木などがいろいろ見れて良かったです。

I had an amazing time on the one-day tour! In the morning, I enjoyed over two hours of marine sports. It seems that the sports available vary depending on the weather, but I probably tried around 8 or 9 different activities in those two hours. I think it's much more cost-effective than just playing on the beach, so I highly recommend it!

I started shouting my heart out from 9 AM to relieve stress. The staff really went all out when I asked for something intense, to the point where I felt like my arms were going to fall off! In the afternoon, we went to Hamajima for snorkeling. When I asked the staff to take pictures, they captured some amazing shots that felt like a pre-wedding photoshoot, creating wonderful memories!

You can even become a mermaid, so definitely ask the staff about that! Although we weren't blessed with great weather, we went back around Ishigaki Island for snorkeling, and it was still incredibly beautiful. The tour allowed for a leisurely snorkeling experience with explanations, and I had a lot of great conversations with the staff and fellow participants. It was truly a fantastic one-day tour!

Since it can be quite physically demanding, I recommend booking it early in your trip! I was definitely sore the next day!

1日ツアーで全力で楽しみました！
午前中はマリンスポーツ2時間ちょい満喫しました。
天候によって遊べるスポーツが異なるようですが、2時間でおそらく8.9個ぐらいは乗りました。
ビーチで遊ぶより、かなりコスパがいいと思うのでとてもオススメです！
朝の9時からめちゃめちゃ叫んでストレス発散。笑
激しめをお願いしたら腕がちぎれそうになる程全力で楽しませてくれるスタッフさんです！
午後からは浜島とシュノーケリング
浜島では、スタッフさんに写真を撮って欲しいとお願いしたら、結婚式の前撮りのようなレベルでめちゃめちゃ良い感じに撮ってくれてとてもいい思い出になりました！
マーメイドにもなれちゃいますので、是非スタッフさんにお願いしてみてください！笑
天気に恵まれなかったので、シュノーケリングは石垣島の周りまで戻って、となりましたが、それでもほんまに綺麗ですごかったです。
解説付きで、自由度も高めのゆっくりシュノーケリングさせていただけるツアーでした。
スタッフの皆さんともいっぱいお話しさせていただけて、一緒になった方々とも仲良くなれて、とてもよい1日ツアーでした！

体力はかなり消耗するので、旅の序盤に予約することをお勧めします！笑
次の日はかなりの筋肉痛です。笑

The natural limestone caves and mangrove canoeing created very enjoyable memories. Junjun is the best! Haha

It was my first time doing both stand-up paddleboarding and canyoning, so I had some anxiety, but the instructor was kind and taught us well, allowing us to have a great time.

During canyoning, they adjusted the difficulty to match our abilities, so we could enjoy it without any strain. It turned out to be a fun day.

サップもキャニオニングも初めてだったので、不安もあったのですが、インストラクターの方が、親切に教えて下さり、たのしく過ごせました。

キャニオニングでは、難易度に合わせてくださったので、無理なく楽しめました。
楽しい1日となりました。

I participated with my child (7 years old) and a parent (in their 50s). It was our first time. They taught us patiently, and my child was fine on their own. That said, the guide was right there with us the whole time, which was nice. The two parents were busy paddling. I brought a GoPro, but I was so focused on paddling that I didn't have time to take any photos, and another couple almost lost their GoPro, so this plan might not need a GoPro. The guide took great photos for us, so we were very satisfied!

子供(7歳)と親(50代)と参加しました。初めてです。丁寧に教えてくれて子供一人でも大丈夫でした。とはいえ、お兄さんがつきっきりで、引率してくれてました。笑。親ふたりは漕ぐのに必死でした。GoProを持っていきましたが、漕ぐのに必死で撮る暇もないし、他のカップルさんが、GoProをなくしかけてたので、このプランにはGoProはいらないかもしれません。ガイドさんがきちんと写真とってくれていたので大満足です！

It was my first time trying SUP, and I really enjoyed it. I felt rejuvenated in nature. Although the tour was changed due to the weather, I was very satisfied with the kind assistance I received. I would like to create another opportunity to participate again.

自然の中で癒されました。
今回天候によってツアーが変更になりましたが、親切に対応していただけて大満足でした。また機会を作って参加したいと思います。

At first, I was anxious because the instructor was a foreigner, but they taught us kindly and patiently, so I was able to enjoy it without any worries! (The instructor's name was Ganess.)
I signed up for the full course, and in the first half, we practiced canoeing while going down a wide river, and in the second half, we navigated a narrower river for a total of about two hours.
The second half was truly a real jungle cruise! It felt like we were in a tunnel of trees, and we couldn't hear any sounds from the outside, slowly drifting down the quiet river. Along the way, we saw many kingfishers, and their blue color was incredibly beautiful...
We also encountered swans and ducks swimming!
They even take photos while you're paddling the canoe!
If I come back to Hokkaido, I definitely want to do this again and highly recommend it! Please make sure to sign up for the full course!

フルコースを申し込みましたが、前半はカヌーの操縦の練習を兼ねつつ広い川を下り、後半は狭めの川を下り合計2時間弱くらいでした。
この後半がまさにリアルジャングルクルーズ！木のトンネルのようになっていて周りの音も聞こえず、静かな川をゆっくり下ります。その途中カワセミがたくさん見られてその青色が大変綺麗でした…
他にも白鳥やカモが泳いでいるのに遭遇できました！
カヌーを漕いでいる最中に写真も撮ってくださいます！
また北海道に来たら絶対やりたいし、オススメします！ぜひフルコースで申し込んでみてくださいね。

I signed up for the cave, canoeing, and Balas Island tour, and I had valuable experiences that I wouldn't normally have. The guide provided clear instructions, making it easy to understand. The weather was relatively favorable, and the scenery at Balas Island was especially amazing! I would like to use this service again if I have the opportunity.

鍾乳洞、カヌー、バラス島訪問ツアーに申し込みましたが、何れも普段体験できない貴重な体験ができました。ガイドさんもしっかり案内してくれるので分かりやすかったです。
天気にも比較的恵まれ特にバラス島の景色は最高でした！

The galaxy, owls, bats, and coconut crabs. Not only did I enjoy the beautiful night sky, but also the great outdoors. The guide was also incredibly entertaining.

銀河、フクロウ、コウモリ、ヤシガニ。美しい夜空だけではなく、大自然も満喫。ガイドさんも最高に面白かった。

I participated after the four-day holiday in September. Unfortunately, the wind was strong, so we couldn't go snorkeling at Barasu Island, but they kindly contacted me the day before and changed the plan to a sunrise SUP session. On the day, I was the only participant, which allowed me to receive one-on-one instructions and explore the mangroves. I paddled up the tranquil Kuura River before dawn, saw the Sagarihana flowers, and even encountered fireflies. When I returned around sunrise, I was worried because clouds had started to appear, but I was able to see a golden sunrise through a break in the clouds. Surrounded by the magnificent nature in 360 degrees while listening to the sound of the waves and under the clear autumn sky, I felt like I was indulging in a luxurious moment all by myself. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

9月の4連休開けに参加しました。あいにく風が強くてバラス島のシュノーケリングはできませんでしたが、前日に連絡を下さり、朝日のSUPへ快くプラン変更して下さいました。当日の参加者はなんと私のみでしたが、おかげでマンツーマンで説明を聞くことができ、マングローブを探検することができました。夜明け前の静寂なクーラ川をSUPを漕いで昇り、サガリバナを見て、ホタルにも出会うことができました。朝日が昇る頃に戻り、雲が出てきたので心配でしたが、雲の切れ間から黄金の日の出を見ることができました。澄んだ秋空と波の音を聞きながら360℃雄大な自然に囲まれて、贅沢なひと時を一人占めした気分でした。素敵な体験をありがとうございました。

Our first time SUP! Plus, we participated in a sunset SUP as a couple!
The day before, we were informed about the meeting time and place.
On the day, there were four of us, including another couple.
We received a brief lecture on how to use the paddle and then it was straight to the sea—let's go!
Since it was in a place with waves, as we were told, we were desperately trying to maintain our balance!
We fell into the sea many times, but the weather was great, and the setting sun painted the sea red, creating a magical atmosphere that felt wonderful!
We had photos taken from start to finish, and the data was sent to us via AirDrop right there on the spot. The photos turned out really well, which made us even more satisfied!
After paddling and falling into the sea multiple times, I was exhausted but extremely happy! I would love to try it again if I get the chance!

初めてのSUP！しかも、サンセットSUPに夫婦で参加しました！
前日に集合時間と場所を連絡してもらえました。
当日は私たちの他にカップル１組の４人での開催。
軽くパドルの使い方のレクチャーを受け、すぐ海へGO～！笑
波がある場所なので難易度が高いと言われた通り、とにかくバランスを取ることに必死！
何度も何度も海に落ちましたが、天気も良く、沈む夕日が海を赤く染めて幻想的な雰囲気の中で、とても気持ち良かったです！
最初から最後まで写真を撮ってもらえて、データも終わったらすぐその場でAirDropで送ってくれました。撮ってもらった写真もすごく良くて、更に満足度が高くなりました！！
パドルを漕いで何度も海に落ちて、と体はヘトヘトだったけれど大満足でした！もう１度機会があればやってみたいです！

I booked a one-day tour for snorkeling and the Pumpkin Cave. The snorkeling started six hours before low tide, with the morning dedicated to snorkeling and the afternoon to the Pumpkin Cave.

The designated snorkeling point was within Shigira Beach, with only one hour of snorkeling, so it didn't feel like it was worth going on a tour. Although I saw a sea turtle, it wasn't particularly highlighted. The day before, I experienced a half-day snorkeling tour at Yaeyama, which involved going out to the ocean and changing points with four 20-minute sessions, so if you're coming all the way to Miyako, I felt other snorkeling options would be better.

There was a two-and-a-half-hour gap between the morning and afternoon activities. Without a shower, it would be a bit tough if you’re not staying at Shigira Resort.

To get to the Pumpkin Cave, you walk about 30 minutes through the water. Inside the cave, spring water flows abundantly, creating a mystical atmosphere. It felt more adventurous than I expected, which was great. It seemed difficult to go on your own, so joining the tour was definitely the right choice.

All the staff were very pleasant. However, with a full day commitment and only about 2.5 hours of activity time, it would have been better if the plan's explanation was clearer. It would also have been good to have the snorkeling points clearly stated. I recommend the Pumpkin Cave, so I think it would be nice to have a separate tour for it.

シュノーケリングとパンプキン鍾乳洞の１日のツアーを予約した。
干潮からさかのぼり６時間前にシュノーケリングスタートということであり、AMがシュノーケリング、PMがパンプキン鍾乳洞であった。
指定されたシュノーケリングポイントはシギラビーチ内で1時間1本であったため、わざわざツアーで行くという感じではなく低調だった。ウミガメはみれたものの前面に押し出す内容ではなかった。
前日に別のツアーで八重干瀬半日シュノーケルを体験したが、沖まで出てポイントを変えながら20分４本だったので、わざわざ宮古まで来るのであればシュノーケリングは他の方が良いと感じた。
AMのアクティビティからPMのアクティビティまで２時間半ほど間があく。シャワーが無いのでシギラリゾート内に宿をとっていないと少々厳しい。
パンプキン鍾乳洞には海の中を片道３０分くらい歩いて行く。洞窟内は地下水がとうとうと湧き出し神秘的な感じ。ここは想像以上によく冒険をしている感があってとても良かった。自力で行くのは難しそうなのでツアー参加で大正解。
スタッフは皆さん感じが良かった。
１日拘束でアクティビティタイムは2.5時間くらいだったので、プランの説明がもう少しわかりやすいとよかった。またシュノーケリングポイントは明記されていると良かった。
パンプキン鍾乳洞はお勧めるので、分けたツアーがあると良いと思った。

My first time on Iriomote Island!
We were blessed with good weather and made our way to Kura Falls surrounded by mangroves on a SUP board.
It truly felt like an adventure, and along the way, I was able to see various plants and animals. The guide provided detailed information about the names and ecology of the flora and fauna, which made it very enjoyable as I could understand and appreciate what I was seeing.
Exploring the limestone caves was also a great experience; feeling the nature on the way there was wonderful, but when I stood in front of the cave, it was so impressive that I felt a bit scared, haha.
I really enjoyed feeling the great outdoors!

天候に恵まれクーラの滝までマングローブに囲まれた場所をSUPボードで進みました。
本当に冒険感があり進んでいくなかで様々な動植物を見ることができました。ガイドの方が動植物の名前や生態を詳しく教えてくれるので見て自分の中で納得できてとても楽しかったです。
鍾乳洞探険もそこに進むまでに自然を感じられ洞窟を前にした時迫力がありすぎて少し怖いと思いました笑

We participated as a family of six. We raced through the mountains on mountain bikes and thoroughly enjoyed the deep nature of Hakone under Mr. Kato's insightful commentary. Our youngest, who is in fifth grade and whom I was most worried about (though I wasn't really that worried), ended up leading the way, competing with his older brother and Mr. Suzuki, and had the most fun. The older sisters and mom also enjoyed themselves at their own pace. Next time, I would like to try a different course with the whole family, including our second daughter who couldn't join this time.

家族6人で参加しました。野山をマウンテンバイクで駆け抜け、加藤さんのアジのある解説のもと、箱根の奥深い自然を満喫できました。一番心配していた(実はあまり心配していなかった)小5の末っ子もお兄ちゃんや鈴木さんと競うように先頭切って走って一番楽しんでました。お姉ちゃん達、ママもマイペースで楽しんでました。今度は別のコースを今回参加できなかった次女も一緒に家族全員で走ってみたいです。

We participated in a five-lake tour with our family from Kansai. Since it was our first time in Shiretoko, a place we rarely get to visit, we opted for a guided tour.

Our guide, Ayano, was a veteran who resembled Hayao Miyazaki, and he taught us a variety of things in a gentle tone. He shared information about the ecology of plants and animals, showed us a video of a Japanese pygmy woodpecker pecking at a tree that he filmed the day before, and took us to a photo spot where we could see bears catching salmon, among many other things.

While it's possible to live our lives without knowing these things, I deeply felt that while we go about our daily lives in Kansai, there exists an entirely different dimension of everyday life here, and nature shows us its current form, far beyond our living time.

Additionally, perhaps due to the holiday and Goto, the large parking lot at the Shiretoko Five Lakes Center was full, and we received traffic information from our guide in the morning. Although we thought we left early, we were still cutting it close, so my children and I got out of the car and walked to the meeting point, which was within walking distance. If we hadn't received the information, we would have all been in trouble. (By the way, my husband, who was driving, caught up with us later.)

関西から五湖ツアーに家族で参加しました。初めての知床、なかなか来れない所に来たのですから、ガイドさん付のツアーにしました。

ガイドの綾野さんは、宮崎駿似のベテランガイドさんで、穏やかな口調でいろーんな事を教えていただきました。
動植物の生態についてはもちろん、前日に撮ったというコゲラが木をつついている動画やら、鮭を捕りに来た熊の写真スポット、北海道に関する私の疑問質問などなど、本当に様々と。

人生にとってこれらのことを知らなくても生きて行けますが、自分達が関西で日々生活している間、ここでは全く別の次元の日常があり、自然は私達の生きる時間をはるかに越えて、今の姿を見せてくれているんだと、しみじみ感じました。
またこの日は連休とGotoのためか、知床五湖センターの広い駐車場が満車で、午前中にガイドさんから渋滞情報をいただきました。早めに出たつもりが、それでもギリギリで、私と子ども達だけ車から降りて、歩ける距離だったので徒歩で集合場所に行きました。連絡をもらっていなければ、全員撃沈するところでした。(ちなみに運転手の旦那は後から追い付きました)

The tour guide provided an incredibly informative experience, allowing us to enjoy the Yakusugi trekking much more than we would have on our own. Additionally, this tour was great because it offered direct transportation from the hotel in the Miyanoura area to the trailhead without the need for transfers, which was very convenient.

ツアーガイドの方のガイドがとても内容の濃いもので、個人でトレッキングするより数倍も屋久杉トレッキングを楽しめました。
また、このツアーは他のツアーと比較してホテル(宮之浦地区)から登山口まで乗り換えする必要なく直通で送迎してくれたのが良かったです。

The rental gear was brought to the hotel the day before, and I chose a pair of hiking boots that fit well. I was picked up at the hotel at 5 AM. After eating a rice ball for breakfast, I took a public bus to the trailhead, and we started trekking at 6:45. The trolley path was flat, and I made smooth progress while occasionally enjoying the scenery.

The latter part, which involved climbing rocky areas, was quite tough. I took breaks roughly every hour, sweating a lot while using my trekking poles. Approaching my sixties, I found it challenging. At one point, I honestly considered saying, "I'll wait here." The others were younger or more experienced hikers, but everyone, including the guide, was kind and checked on me, and I somehow managed to reach Jomon Sugi.

On the way back, while being careful with my footing, I felt a bit more relaxed since it was downhill. I was happy to achieve my goal in 10 hours. However, considering the inconvenience to others, I enjoyed the Shiratani Unsuikyo more the next day, where I could walk at my own pace, take photos, and rest.

For those confident in their physical fitness, I think the tour with the guide is excellent, as you can hear tips on walking and various experiences shared.

前日ホテルにレンタル用品を持ってきてくれ、サイズの合った登山靴をチョイス。
午前５時ホテルにお迎え。
朝食おにぎりを食べ公共バスで登山口へ、6:45トレッキングスタート。
トロッコ道は平坦で景色を時々眺めながらスムーズに進みました。
後半の上り岩場はかなりきつく、1時間弱に1回のペースで休憩を入れ、ストックを使いながら汗をたっぷりかきました。
還暦前、キビシイと思いながらのチャレンジ。私1人遅いペースで、正直途中、「ここで待ってます。」と言おうかとも考えました。他は若い方や歩き慣れた方で、ガイドさんはじめ皆さん優しく、振り向いてもらったり、気にかけてもらいながら何とか縄文杉に辿り着きました。
復路は足元は気をつけながらも、下りなので多少の余裕も出ました。
10時間、目標達成は嬉しかったです。
ただ他の方へのご迷惑を考えると、翌日自分のペースで歩き写真を撮ったり休憩できたりした、白谷雲水峡の方が楽しみながら行けました。
体力に自信のある方なら、ガイドさんのコースでの説明も歩き方のコツ、いろんな体験談も聞けて、とてもいいツアーだと思います。

We were picked up at the hotel and taken to a stargazing spot. We went to a place that is usually not included in tours! There were absolutely no people around, and we were able to fully enjoy the stars filling the sky! After that, we went to the jungle and encountered several coconut crabs and a habu snake. We also had time to stargaze on the beach, enjoying the perfect situation while listening to the sound of the ocean. Our guide was very friendly, making the tour even more enjoyable.

ホテルまで迎えに来ていただき、星空スポットへ。
普段はツアーでは来ないという場所へ行きました！
周りにはまったく人がおらず、空一面の星を満喫できました！
その後はジャングルに行き、ヤシガニ複数匹とハブに出会うことができました。
その場でも海岸で星空を見る時間があり、海の音を聞きながらという最高のシチュエーションを楽しめました。
ガイドさんもとてもフレンドリーでより一層楽しいツアーとなりました。

I definitely wanted to see the starry sky when I came to Ishigaki Island, so I booked this tour. They picked me up from the hotel and we headed to the stargazing spot first. The guide, who was very knowledgeable about Ishigaki Island, took us to two locations. At first, there were a few clouds, but it gradually cleared up, and we could see a stunning starry sky and the Milky Way perfectly. The explanations about the constellations were also very enjoyable. After fully enjoying the starry sky by lying on our backs and taking photos, we headed into the jungle.

We were able to see rare turtles, precious hermit crabs, and really large bats, and the guide introduced us to many animals.

During the drive back, I was able to hear a lot about recommended places and Okinawa, making it a very satisfying tour.

石垣島に来たら絶対に星空を見たいと思い、このツアーを予約しました。
ホテルに迎えに来ていただき、最初は星空スポットへ。
石垣島にとても詳しいガイドさんが、二箇所案内してくれました。
最初雲が少しかかっていましたが、だんだん晴れてきて、満点の星空と天の川もバッチリ見えました。星座の解説などもしていただき、とても楽しかったです。
仰向けで星を見たり、写真撮影などをしていただき充分星空を満喫した後に、ジャングルへ。

珍しい亀や貴重なヤドカリ、すごく大きなコウモリなど見ることができ、たくさんの動物を紹介していただきました。

送迎の道中も、おすすめの場所や沖縄のことをたくさん聞けて、大満足のツアーでした。

The guide's knowledge was incredibly rich, and there were so many things we would never have understood just by walking around on our own. The stories about history and the food chain were very interesting and thought-provoking.
We got to see deer, squirrels, and Ezo ptarmigans!

ガイドさんの知識がすごく豊富で、自分たちだけで歩くだけでは決してわからないことばかりでした。歴史の話や食物連鎖の話などとても面白くて考えさせられました。
鹿、リス、エゾライチョウに会えました！

We were blessed with great weather, and the surface of the lake sparkled beautifully, allowing us to enjoy a clear view of the Shiretoko mountain range. While it's possible to explore the Shiretoko Five Lakes on your own, joining a tour was truly worthwhile as we received clear explanations about wildlife traces, the history of Shiretoko, and the local plants.

We were able to see woodpeckers, Ezo squirrels, deer, little grebes, and white-tailed eagles up close, and I was especially moved by the adorable little grebe chicks! It was also great that they lent us binoculars.

I was a bit worried about bringing my mother, who is in her 60s and not very active, but our guide, Mr. Umebayashi, was very kind and a great communicator. He led us at a relaxed pace while we strolled, and she was able to walk energetically until the end. The step counter recorded about 15,000 steps. She has been talking about how much fun it was even after we got home!

お天気に恵まれ、湖の水面がキラキラと輝いていて、知床連山もきれいに眺めることができました。知床五湖は個人で周ることもできますが、野生動物の痕跡や知床の歴史や植物のことなどわかりやすく解説して頂けるので、ツアーに参加して本当に良かったです。
キツツキ、エゾリス、シカ、カイツブリ、オジロワシなどを間近で見ることができ、特にカイツブリの親子が可愛くて感激しました！望遠鏡を貸していただけるのもありがたかったです。
運動不足の60代の母を連れての参加だったので少し心配でしたが、ガイドの梅林さんがとても親切でお話も上手で、散策しながら、ゆっくりとしたペースで進んでくださるので、最後まで元気に歩いていました。歩数計のカウントは15000歩ほどでした。家に帰ってからも楽しかった♪と話しています。
