I went according to the sunset time, but even after staying until after 8 PM, it didn't get completely dark. Considering the crowd for the return cable car, I decided to head back early.

It was quite crowded, so it was difficult to get to the front row by the fence. Fortunately, there were extra cable cars running for the return trip, so I was able to descend faster than expected. However, there were no extra shuttle buses to the streetcar station, so I walked to the station.

Since it was downhill, I arrived at the station in about 7 minutes.

Originally, the price was already lower than the regular fare, and with the discount for paying with an AEON card, plus using points, I was able to use it at a very affordable rate.

日没時間に合わせて行きましたが20時過ぎまで滞在してもなかなか真っ暗にならず、帰りのロープウェイの混雑を考慮して早めに帰りました。
とにかく混んでいるのでなかなか柵の前の最前列までは行けません。
帰りのロープウェイは臨時便を出してくださっていたので思ったよりも早く下山出来ましたが、市電の駅までのシャトルバスは臨時便はないので歩いて駅へ向かいました。
下り坂ですのでサクサク歩いて7分ほどで駅に着きました。

元々正規料金よりもお安い上にイオンカードでの支払いで割引、さらにポイントを使ってかなりお安く利用出来ました。

I was worried about the high price, but since I wouldn't be using a car or motorcycle and could only stay one night in Goto, I decided to spend money to buy time and chose this option. I was concerned about the weather, but we set sail safely and were able to head to our next destination feeling relaxed. Moreover, it was more economical than buying tickets directly from Kyushu Ferry! The ticket exchange at the counter was also smooth.

お高いないぁと悩みましたが、車やバイク利用でないし、五島には1泊しかできないので、時間をお金で買おうとこちらにしました。天候が心配でしたが、無事出航し次の目的地にゆったりした気分で向かうことができました。しかも、九州商船さんから直接チケットを買うよりお得！窓口でのチケット引き換えもスムーズに出来ました。

It was a more satisfying experience than I expected! After boarding the second deck, we moved to the underwater viewing deck following a 10-minute cruise. At first glance, this underwater deck might make you think, "What is this??" but when you go down, you can see underwater. That alone made the kids very happy! As we continued to move, we gradually started to see the coral on the ocean floor and colorful, beautiful fish. Personally, I feel that when the sun is positioned in a way that there are no shadows from the boat, the underwater view is clearer (though it's quite difficult to gauge). It was also adorable to see the fish following the movement of the boat. Luckily, during my visit, I was able to see a sea turtle swimming as well!

It seems that there are fewer seats on the second deck, so I recommend boarding early if you have small children.

思った以上に満足度の高い体験でした！
2階デッキに乗り、10分程度のクルージングの後に船底の潜水デッキへ移動します。この潜水デッキはそのままだと「なんだ？？」と思うのですが、下がると水中がのぞける仕組みです。それだけでも子供は大喜びでした！そのまま移動をするとだんだん海底のサンゴが見え、色とりどりのキレイな魚も見えるようになります。個人的感想ですがこの時太陽の位置で船の影がない方が海中がきれいに見えます（なかなか把握が難しいです）船の移動に合わせ魚たちが付いてくる姿も愛らしかったですよ。私の時は運よくウミガメの泳いでいる姿も見れました！

2階のデッキはイスの数が少ないようなので、小さいお子さんがいる方は早めの乗船がおすすめです。

Since our morning meeting didn't go well, I left feeling worried, but it turned out that my concerns were unnecessary. The local team was flexible and packed our plan with experiences that we wouldn't have been able to do with a rental car. They also made sure we were on time for our return, and I think I would prefer a hire service over a rental car next time. Thank you very much.

朝の待ち合わせがうまくいかなかったので、心配しながら出発しましたが、心配なんて、必要なかったほど、レンタカーでは出来なかったであろう現地の方ならではの私たちの希望をしっかり詰め込んだプランを臨機応変に対応して下さいました。
帰りも伝えた時間に間に合わせてくださり、次回以降もレンタカーよりハイヤーがいいなと思いました。

I thought there wasn't much benefit to making a reservation in advance for the ferry between Sasebo and Arikawa since there are no discounts. The process itself was simple; you just need to show the downloaded reservation ticket.

佐世保〜有川間のフェリーは、割引もないのであまり事前に予約するメリットはないかなと思いました。使い方自体はダウンロードした予約チケットを提示するだけなので簡単でした。

On June 26, 2024, I took a boat ride down the Hozu River. It was the rainy season, and the previous day had been canceled, but today we were blessed with wonderfully refreshing weather that was neither too hot nor humid. From the moment I boarded, I was filled with excitement. The veteran boatman, perhaps? He skillfully guided us while facing backward and entertained the foreign guests in English. I had a great time and definitely want to go again. The boatman's biceps were impressive!

保津川下り遊船しました。梅雨の時期で前日は中止でしたが本日は見事に爽やかなな風に蒸し暑くもなく天候に恵まれました。乗った瞬間からワクワクどきどきでしたベテランの船頭さんでしょうか?随所で後ろ向きなのに案内され外国の方には英語で楽しませておられ、とても楽しく過ごせ、また必ず行きたい気持ちになりましたね

The ship was clean, and I didn't notice any noise, so I think I was able to spend my time more comfortably than I expected. The price was about the same as a hotel, so it felt like a good deal.

船内も綺麗で、音も気にならず、思ったよりは、快適に過ごせたと思います。
料金もホテル代と同じぐらいだったので、お得感がありました。

Although I communicated my desired sightseeing spots when I made the reservation, due to time constraints, I ended up asking the driver to change the course on the day of the trip. However, he kindly accommodated the change and managed the time distribution well, allowing me to fully enjoy the experience. Okinawa is a car-centric society, and even with a navigation system, I felt that driving would be quite stressful, so I believe hiring a private taxi was the right choice. There are still many places I want to visit, so I definitely want to request this service again next time.

申し込んだ時に希望の観光スポットをお伝えしたものの、時間の都合で当日ドライバーさんにお目にかかってからコース変更をお願いすることになってしまいましたが、快く変更して下さり、時間配分もしていただけたので、思う存分楽しむことができました。沖縄は車社会で、レンタカーではいくらナビがあるとはいっても運転に神経をすり減らしそうだったので、貸し切りタクシーで大正解だと思います。まだまだ行きたかった場所がたくさんあるので、次回も是非お願いしたいと思います。

The grid-like streets of Sapporo are breathtaking. I was captivated by their beauty, which exceeded my imagination. The night view from Mount Moiwa is also wonderful, but I highly recommend this as well.

札幌の碁盤目の街並みが絶景です。想像を超えた綺麗さにうっとりしました。藻岩山からの夜景も素晴らしいですが、こちらもぜひおすすめします。

Since I made an early reservation, there was little wait time even on Sunday, and the crowd was moderate. It was definitely a great decision to reserve and go to the observation corridor; I was very satisfied.

早い時間の予約でしたので、日曜日でも待ち時間は少なく、混雑状況もほどほど。予約して天望回廊まで行って大正解・大満足でした。

On a Friday morning just before the rainy season, with low water levels, I participated in this activity. It was relaxing, with occasional swift currents. The sky was blue, and I could feel the wind. I saw herons, ducks, turtles, and soft-shelled turtles, making it a pleasant experience. The boatmen worked hard, rowing with great effort, and they were also good at storytelling. When the water level is low, moving stones from the riverbed is part of their job.

They also let us experience rowing from the bow, which was very enjoyable. This traditional activity, which has been continued for over 400 years, is a part of the culture. I felt that it is something one should experience while living in Japan.

水量の少ない、梅雨直前の平日金曜日の朝、参加。ゆったりと、そしてたまに急な流れのところあり、空は青く、風が感じられ、サギ、鴨、亀、スッポンなど見られ、気持ちの良いアクティビティでした。船頭さんは３人ですごく頑張って漕いでくれて、お話も上手、水かさが少ないと川底の石をどかすことも仕事の内だとか。
舳先で漕ぐ体験もさせてくれてとても楽しかったです。400年も前から続く伝統のアクティビティは文化です。日本に住み、経験しておくべき、と思いました

I picked a few places I wanted to visit in the south and left the order up to the driver.

They listened to our requests for lunch and souvenirs along the way, and it was really great.

It might depend on the driver, but they also provided sightseeing information, which was very helpful, and we were able to save time. We considered renting a car to explore on our own, but I'm glad we chose this option this time.

Next time, I want to explore the north, so I would like to request the same driver again!

南の方で行きたい所を何箇所かピックアップして、順番などは運転手さんにお任せしました。

途中のお昼ご飯やお土産を買いたい等の私達の要望を聞きつつ色々としてくださり、とっても良かったです。

運転手さんにもよるのかもしれませんが、観光案内もしてくださり凄く為になり、時間も短縮できてレンタカー借りて自分達で回ろうか検討しましたが、今回お願いして良かったです。

次回は北の方を観光したいので、その時はまた同じ運転手さんにお願いしたいと思いました！

I used the jet foil for the first time to go to Fukue Island in the Goto Islands.

I purchased my ticket through this site because it was a bit cheaper than booking directly from the Kyushu Ferry website.

However, I thought the meeting time was set a bit too early. Since it was my first time and I wasn't familiar with the process, I arrived earlier than the meeting time, which meant I had to wait a long time until departure. My daughter, who is used to it, felt sorry for me. 😊

五島列島の福江島に行くのにジェットフォイルを初めて利用者しました。

九州商船サイトから直接予約購入するより、こちら経由だと少しお値打ちに購入できるので、こちらで購入しました。

ただ、ちょっと集合時間の設定が早いかなと思いました。初めてで勝手がわからないので、集合時間より早く着くようにしたら、出発まですごく待つことになり、使い慣れてる娘に気の毒がられました＾＾

I was able to easily obtain the Jetfoil boarding ticket at the purchase window by showing the purchase result on my smartphone. It was a good deal with a discount compared to the regular purchase. For the return trip, I couldn't specify it due to weather considerations, so I bought the ferry ticket at the regular price on the day of travel. Since my plans were mostly set, I regretted not purchasing the advance discount tickets, as I could have bought two cans of beer with that savings. In the future, I will take advantage of advance discounts for trips with a confirmed schedule.

ジェットホイルの乗船券は、購入窓口でスマホの購入結果表示で簡単に入手できました。
通常購入より、割引がありお得でした。
復路は、天候とか考慮し特定できなかったので、当日フェリー乗車券を通常価格で購入。
やはり、ほぼ予定は決定していたので、事前割引チケットを購入していれば、
二人分で缶ビールは買えたなあと反省。
今後も、スケジュール決まった旅には、事前割引を活用させてもらいます。

I received a 210 yen discount, and I was able to line up immediately without any hassle in purchasing the ticket. When I said my name at the ticket counter for confirmation, I received my ticket. I think it's convenient to purchase in advance if you have already decided to go.

210円割引になりましたし、チケット購入に手間取る事がなくすぐに列に並ぶ事が出来ました。チケットカウンターで名前を言って確認したらチケットもらえました。行く事が決まっていたら購入しておくと便利だと思います。

The journey lasted just over an hour, but I didn't feel any seasickness at all and it was very comfortable! The jet foil floats in the air, so there was no shaking, and it felt like being on an airplane. The sea around the Goto Islands was very beautiful.

It takes about 30 minutes from Fukue Port to Narao Port. The weather was nice and the waves were calm, so I was worried about seasickness, but there was no need for concern at all. The jet foil glides through the air, so I didn't feel any rocking; it was just like being on an airplane.

福江港から奈良尾港まで約30分。お天気が良く波も穏やかだったのか、船酔いを気にしていましたが、全く心配いりませんでした。
ジェットフォイルは空中に浮かんで進むので揺れを感じずまるで飛行機になっているようでした。

We are a family that doesn't like to wait around, so we opted for a quick method. Plus, it ends up being cheaper, which is a win for us.

ちんたら待つのがいやな家族なので、スパッと入れる方法を取りました。おまけに安くなるしうちとしては◯です。

Check-in took a little time, but after that, the bus ride was smooth, and we were able to go to Shirakawa-go. The atmosphere was relaxed, and I was able to unwind for the first time in a while, which was refreshing.

チェックインに少し時間がかかりましたが、その後はバスもスムーズで白川郷に行けました。ゆっくりとした時間が流れていて、久しぶりにのんびりすることができ、リフレッシュしました。

My companion was visiting Okinawa for the first time.
Whether or not you see things that symbolize Okinawa makes a big difference in your impression.
There is a gap between what locals enjoy and what tourists find appealing.
Visitors should stick to their intentions within their available time—don't be shy!

The driver was kind, which was great, but I wished for more appropriate advice on the timing from a local, like what time we needed to leave to make it on time. There are places that aren't worth visiting at night, and the Churaumi Aquarium closes earlier than before (tears). I was exhausted and didn't want to be guided to the point where there were no options for dinner.

The cruise was more comfortable than I expected. I recommend upgrading your room for an additional fee. You can sleep soundly without worrying about others or noise. However, since it's a ship, you can still feel the vibrations. The shower room is clean and spacious enough for one person, with adequate facilities. There are only two showers for each gender, so it can get crowded during peak times. It would be nice to have a few more. The restrooms are also clean. If I have the opportunity to visit the Goto Islands again, I would like to use this service once more.

思った以上に快適な船旅でした。部屋は追加料金を払ってグレードアップするのをお勧めします。人目や音を気にせずゆっくり寝られます。ただやはり船なので、船の振動は伝わってきます。シャワー室もきれいだし一人で入る分には十分の広さと設備です。シャワーは男女２つずつしかないので、込み合うときは込み合います。もう少し多いといいですね。トイレもきれいです。五島を訪ねる機会があったらまた利用したいです。

They checked me in earlier than the scheduled time. The weather wasn't great, so I couldn't enjoy the scenery, but the travel was comfortable without any bumps.

チェックイン時間より早めに受付してくれました。お天気はいまいちで景色等は楽しめなかったのですが、揺れることもなく快適な移動ができました。

The night view was wonderful. It sparkled like a box of jewels. However, the wait time for the cable car and ropeway on the way back was 45 minutes. It's understandable because it was busy, but it's best to be mindful of the timing. I highly recommend this to anyone heading to Sapporo.

ただ帰りのケーブルカーとロープウェイが待ち時間45分。
集中するから仕方ないけど、時間の読みを気をつけた方が良いですね。

They were very friendly and waited in an easy-to-find spot to minimize walking from the parking lot. When we went to the Churaumi Aquarium and I realized I didn't have tickets, they guided me to where I could buy discounted tickets and shared various recommendations for souvenirs. It was really helpful, especially since we had elderly members in our three-generation trip.

I went to the Churaumi Aquarium first thing in the morning and made a reservation for my next destination. It was amazing to explore the ocean floor without getting wet. The staff were friendly, and the prices were reasonable, so I would like to use their services again.

If you want to secure a seat, I recommend lining up early.
