The horses seemed well-trained; they moved forward on their own when the horse in front did. In Haleiwa, I was dropped off at my desired location, so I could easily go to the shops I wanted to visit!

It was like a dream to be able to ride for a long time along the beach. It started to rain, and my pants and hair got quite wet, but I was able to borrow a raincoat, so my upper body stayed dry. I was disappointed that my time in Haleiwa was too short; I only had time to eat lunch and visit one shop. It would be perfect if I had more time to explore Haleiwa!

The staff at the riding location were not very impressive; they seemed to be new and a bit inexperienced. It felt like the tip was paid not for the staff, but for the smart horses. Since the tour was focused on horseback riding, we didn't plan for any exploration and just enjoyed a relaxed time.

Our group made a few stops additional to the two main activities. It was well worth the cost. As a solo traveller I had an amazing time on this excursion!

I drove a buggy for about two and a half hours on various courses such as mountain paths, forest roads, and gravel roads in the North Shore! I had been to the North Shore several times, but I was very satisfied to see scenery I had never seen before! We stopped several times to switch drivers and take photos. The guide took the pictures for us. There were several intense courses that were thrilling and fun! My face and clothes got covered in dust! (laughs) After the buggy ride, there is a water source where you can wash your face! They provide sunglasses at the beginning, but just wearing sunglasses can let dust get into your eyes while driving, so I think it's a good idea to use goggles or something similar for protection. The guide didn't speak Japanese, but he explained everything slowly and kindly, and he was a very nice person! It was a really enjoyable experience! ^_^

ノースショアの山道、林道、砂利道など様々なコースを2時間半程度かけてバギーで走りました！

My first booking was cancelled at very last minute. The captain only told me when I got to the pier - 2hours round trips was wasted for nothing without early notice.

I booked second one which was rescheduled twice, eventually it made through and my daughter loves it.

The water is bit cold in the first place but bearable and we stayed in water for 40mins or longer as we were the last group.

On the way back, we saw the whales - what a bonus!!

I originally joined this tour because I love sharks. We took a bus for just under two hours from our hotel in Waikiki to Haleiwa. We gathered at a small shack decorated with shark patterns and set off. There were about 14 or 15 participants, and I was the only Japanese person (the staff were not Japanese either).

The explanations were in English, and the engine noise was loud, so I couldn't understand much, but I managed to get by. Since my eyesight is poor, I borrowed prescription goggles, but they weren't very clear, so I recommend bringing contact lenses if you have vision issues. As others have mentioned, once we arrived at the spot, the waves were high and it was easy to get seasick. I got seasick here too.

However, when we got into the cage, I was so focused on watching the sharks that I forgot about my seasickness. I was very satisfied to see a nearly 3-meter-long tiger shark up close. The shark was calm, and I was moved by its graceful swimming. Unfortunately, I didn't see many other sharks besides that tiger shark. After getting out of the cage, I felt worse and ended up vomiting. There was another person who vomited as well. However, after that, I felt refreshed and was able to enjoy the return trip.

I was a bit anxious about participating alone as a woman, but I had a valuable experience and it was really great! If there are others in a similar situation who are hesitant to join, I encourage you to participate without hesitation!

The evening with the Toa Luau group was an unforgettable highlight to our visit to Hawaii. First of all, the driver was great. Being Japanese made me feel at ease. Thanks to their service-oriented spirit and the various information they provided, I was able to fully enjoy the North Shore even in a short time. It was my first time horseback riding, and I was worried, but the thorough explanation of the precautions in the vehicle allowed everything to proceed smoothly. The local female staff were also kind, and my son, who is in the third year of middle school, enjoyed horseback riding as well. He said it was the best part of our trip. I was also satisfied with the delicious restaurants they recommended. The ocean was very beautiful, and I would love to go to the North Shore again.

I experienced the zip line at Kualoa Ranch last time, but this time it was many times more wonderful. Each line was longer and more thrilling than at Kualoa Ranch. The connecting activities like the buggy ride and the vertical drop were better than I expected. The staff were also kinder and friendlier than at Kualoa Ranch.
The downside is that you have to get to the local Kahuku by yourself, such as by rental car. If you have a rental car, you can enjoy a drive along the coastline from Waikiki, and you can also stop by Haleiwa on the way back, making your trip more efficient.
If you're considering the zip line at Kualoa Ranch, I recommend making the effort to choose Climb Works.

The zip line was high and long, absolutely fantastic! Along the way, we cracked and ate macadamia nuts, and the initial transport was by buggy, so we had a variety of experiences. Although they were out of stock, it seems we could have eaten bananas if they were available.

The tour guide spoke only English, but it wasn't a problem since you can just watch what others are doing, and you don't really need detailed explanations.

You have to jump down from platforms about 10 meters high at two spots, so you’ll be jumping from a height (I’m not great with heights either, but the cable slows down your fall, so it was okay).

Since it was a plan without pickup, we went by rental car. I thought driving would be a hassle, but there are plenty of sightseeing spots around and all the way to Waikiki, and driving isn’t too complicated, so I recommend renting a car.

ジップラインは高く＆長く最高でした！途中マカダミアナッツを割って食べたり、最初の移動もバギーだったりと、色んな体験ができました。在庫切れでしたが、バナナがあれば食べれたみたいです。
ツアーガイドは英語だけですが、他の人がやっている所をみれば、特に細かな説明もいらないので問題ないです。
2カ所ほど10mくらいの高さの台からジャンプして降りなければならないので、高い所から飛び降ります(私も超苦手ですがケーブルで落ちる速度は減速できるので大丈夫でした)。
送迎なしプランだったのでレンタカーで行きました。運転面倒だなと思いましたが、周辺からワイキキまで沢山観光スポットがあるし、運転はそんなにややこしく無いので、レンタカーでもオススメです。
