June 25, 2011: My first and probably last skydiving! I want to praise myself for doing well... Anyway, 1. Fear of heights doesn't really matter 2. There’s no G-force like on a roller coaster, and you don’t feel that floating sensation 3. The instructor is reliable, and you can experience it without any anxiety 4. The rapid descent changes the air pressure quickly, so your ears might hurt a bit 5. I think those who participated should definitely order the DVD 6. For those who haven't experienced it yet, those who are hesitating, and those who are unsure, I highly recommend participating (please consider the risks carefully). In December, I'm going to Hawaii with my husband, and he has also expressed his intention to participate, lol. It was so much fun!! Thank you to all the instructors!!

We participated as a couple. My wife was initially anxious about joining, but once we got into the enclosure, she found the sharks to be beautiful and realized they were a safe species that doesn't attack humans, so she enjoyed the unique experience.
Even though small fish were swimming nearby, the sharks showed no signs of wanting to eat them, which might have been a bit disappointing in terms of excitement. We both talked about wanting to see more dangerous sharks like great white sharks next time.
We brought a disposable underwater camera, but it was difficult to take pictures because of the waves. I wish we had bought a waterproof case for a digital camera so we could take a lot of pictures while looking at the screen.

Before arriving at the location, we picked up about 20 Japanese participants, but after we arrived and split into different groups, it ended up being just the two of us in our group with one guide, making a total of three people. The guide explained everything in Japanese, which made us feel at ease. We were able to experience hula lessons, ukulele lessons, making flower leis, and crafting rose flowers with lauhala leaves.
For dinner, we watched a show, but there were mostly Americans and hardly any Japanese (there were a few Chinese). I didn't have high expectations for the taste or content of the meal from the beginning, so it didn't bother me.
As for the show, the fire dance in the second half was spectacular and definitely worth seeing. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the experience.

We participated as a couple. It was my husband's wish to join, and we had a really great time! I definitely recommend the course that has the longest airtime and goes the highest!
It gets cold up there. Also, the belts are quite tight, so I recommend wearing clothing that has some length around the shoulders and thighs. I wore a short-sleeve T-shirt and a long-sleeve shirt, but I ended up with light marks on my arms. If you have long hair, make sure to bring a hair tie! My hair is about shoulder length, and since I forgot a hair tie, it got really tangled after the flight.
You can land on both feet on the grass. I noticed that a few men landed on their bottoms (including my husband), so it might depend on the weight distribution with the instructor.
The mention of "long wait times" seems to refer to the editing time for those who requested DVDs. Still, during our time, there were 10 participants and 5 DVDs, and we were able to return to Waikiki around 12:30.

She enjoyed the canoe ride, the tattoos, the leaf weaving, and the poi demonstration. She is still talking about the dinner. Us grown-ups also loved the experience. The luau and the after show were exceptional! Far better than a previous, more expensive and over-rated experience on Maui. Four years ago, my mother liked it, so this was our second visit, and I decided to upgrade to Super Ambassador this time.
On the bus ride there, our seats were assigned (there was a paper with our names), and when we arrived, a lovely young lady guided just the two of us. We had front-row seats for the shows at each outdoor village, and during the canoe ride, we were alone while others were in large groups (which was a bit awkward). The meals were supposed to be buffet-style in a separate area, but the staff brought the food to us when we asked.
We had front-row center seats for the show, and during the fire knife performance, it was thick and quite scary.
I think the price is high, but it's perfect for fully enjoying the center, especially for seniors.

It was interesting to see the students from six Polynesian countries showcase dances introducing their respective nations, but the final show was truly the highlight. On the day we arrived in Hawaii, my husband and I participated in the "Twilight Deluxe" tour in the evening. Although I have visited Hawaii several times, it was my first time going to the Polynesian Cultural Center. I was a bit worried about the distance since I'm not great with cars, but during the ride, our Japanese guide shared enjoyable stories, and we arrived in just a little over an hour.
The restaurant near the entrance that we usually used for meals was under construction, so we took a canoe to a restaurant located deeper inside the center. During the ride, the paddler explained the Polynesian countries on both sides of the river in English. The meal itself wasn't particularly deluxe, but we had plenty of fruit.
After eating, we walked to the theater near the entrance and were surprised to find that the facility was much larger than I had expected, and almost all the seats were filled. The bus guide mentioned that about 20% of the tourists were Japanese, which seemed accurate, as most others appeared to be families from the mainland and older couples from Europe.
The show featured high-quality dancers and was very impressive. The story was well-structured, and we enjoyed various dances from different Polynesian countries, laughing and watching the fire dance—it went by in no time. Photography was prohibited during the show, but afterward, we were able to take pictures with the dancers.
I heard that the content of the show had just changed recently, and I would love to see a different version next time. Also, I definitely want to go during the day next time to see the canoe show and participate in various activities from different Polynesian countries!

As for the meal, it was a buffet style, and while the taste was just okay, I appreciated the variety of fruits available. We didn't use the canoe to get to the theater; instead, we walked for about 15 minutes while taking photos along the way. For one thing, the horses are actually polo-horses, not the standard "follow-the-leader" horses of a typical ranch. Because of this, you are better off if you have at least a little experience in handling horses. There were a few times that loud noises or unfamiliar things on the path caused some skittishness.
One thing that made me a little uncomfortable was that my activity voucher said we would need to sign a liability waiver before the ride. I assume this is a standard practice, but the staff at the club just saddled up our horses, and off we went. No forms, no waivers, they didnt even tell us their names, nor did they ask ours. Good thing (for them) our slightly skittish horses didnt dump us on our heads.

The horses here are very smart, and even beginners can enjoy horseback riding with peace of mind. They walk at a very leisurely pace, which might be a bit unsatisfying for experienced riders, but I was able to take photos with one hand while enjoying the scenery in the mountains.
