I would like to introduce a great value optional tour among the many available in Hawaii. This time, I focused on "Horseback Riding in Hawaii!" while comparing various optional tours. And what I found was this plan!

1. First, the iconic "This Tree, What Tree" at "Moanalua Gardens" (it’s said that the Moanalua Gardens tour will no longer be available after April 2016, so be sure to see it soon).
2. Next, enjoy Hawaii's specialty pineapple at the "Dole Plantation."
3. Then, at the "North Shore," encounter the elusive "sea turtles" (they were huge! I could almost ride on their backs).
4. For lunch, we had a recommendation from our guide for a hidden gem "delicious shrimp restaurant" (so good! Lightly seasoned for $11).
5. The much-anticipated "horseback riding"… Unlike other horseback riding optional tours that just walk along the coast for 40 minutes, this tour takes you through varied landscapes like hills, valleys, and bamboo groves, allowing you to enjoy the rhythm of the horse for a full 90 minutes in nature. Local staff support you at the front and back of the line, ensuring safety. The horses are wild yet generally calm, and there were many female groups participating (however, those over 100 kg are not allowed; we don’t want to hurt the horses).

**Note:** If you ride properly, there are no issues, but if you mess around or let go of the reins (like taking photos), you could fall off and get seriously injured (which is why you have to sign a waiver before riding).

So, how much is this packed tour? An incredible $165 per person! (Of course, it includes a Japanese-speaking guide, tips, and hotel pickup). You will really understand how great of a deal this plan is if you take the time to compare it with other tours!

◆数あるハワイの「オプショナルツアー」で、お得感のある（支払に対して満足感が高い）ツアーを紹介します。今回は「ハワイで乗馬！」を主目的に、様々なオプショナルツアーを比較しながら探しました。そして見つけたのがこのプラン！　①まずお決まりの「この木なんの木」の「モアナルアガーデン」（2016年4月以降はモアナルアガーデンツアーは無くなる、との事で早めに見納め）②続いて「ドールプランテーション」にてハワイ特産のパイナップルを堪能　③続いて「ノースショア」にて、遭遇が難しい「うみがめ」対面（デカッ！ いました いました 背中に乗れそう）④昼食はガイドさん推薦の「隠れ家的」な「絶品シュリンプ料理店（うまい！あっさり味付けで11ドル）」⑤お待ちかね「乗馬」…海岸沿いをただ、てくてく歩く「他の乗馬オプショナルツアー（40分）」と違い、このツアーは起伏に富んだ「山あいや谷？や竹やぶ等、いわゆる自然の中を悠々と馬の鼓動を聞きながら（それも90分ですぞ！）、乗馬を楽しむツアーです。サポートも現地スタッフが隊列の前後につき安心。馬も野性味があってスリリングですが総じておとなしく、女性グループも多かったです。（ただし100㎏以上の人はNG　馬さんかわいそうだもんね）【注意点】・キチンと乗れば全然問題なしでも、ふざけたり、手を離したり（カメラ撮影等）してると落馬して大怪我します（そのため、乗馬前に「免責証書を書かされる」）
ハイッ！　ここまで盛りだくさんツアーでお値段は？　な、な、なんと一人165ドル！（もちろん日本語ガイドさん付き、チップ込みでホテル送迎付き）このプランがいかにお得（安い）かは、いろいろ時間をかけて「他」のツアーを探して比較してみれば よ～くわかります！
横着せずに「他のツアー」も探しましょうね！そうすれば、「やまちゃんが言っていた事は本当だったんだ」と分かります。もし、他にお得なツアーがあれば、また教えてください！良い情報は共有していきましょう！　アロハ～

Two young women in our tour group mistakenly miscalculated the meeting time, causing us to wait for about 30 minutes. The tour driver, in front of the other passengers, forcefully and aggressively said, "Apologize!!" which instantly darkened the mood. It really dampened the travel spirit we had.

Whether this was due to a lack of prior explanation or unclear communication with the two women (only verbal), I believe there is some fault on the part of the tour company regarding the itinerary. Shifting all the responsibility onto us does not absolve them of their own accountability. I hope there will be no further troubles in the future.

ツアー同行者で若い２名の女性が途中の集合時間を間違えて、30分程度待たしてしてしまった、ツアーのドラバーがほかの同乗者もいる面前で「誤ってください！！」と強く強圧的な言い方でその場が一瞬で気分的にも暗くなってしまい、せっかくの旅行気分に水を差されました。
事前の説明不足によるものか、２名とのやり取りが不明（口頭のみ）ですが、ツアーの工程については業者側にも落ち度があるのではないでしょうか、一方的な責任のん押しつけでは責任回避を免れません。今後のトラブルの無いことをお祈りしています。

I mentioned this before on the phone. This was fun, but was only able to do one activity. Unfortunately the ad misleads you into thinking you can do whatever activities, whenever. You are allowed to swim, snorkel, bike ride or hike in the morning. Then you can either surf(which you cant cause it will cost you more when you never did it, apparently you have to take a lesson before using their boards), kayak, or stand up paddleboard in the afternoon. It just was a disappointment to have an expectaion of what to get for my day, then not do it. In other words, two spereate locations for the morning and afternoon activities, so majority of your time is traveling. Which is fine, but also would of have a different opinion. Knowing what i know now, i probably would never choosen this activity.
I missed the bus to go to the afternoon location, needless to say i was given the wrong time by tourist, but honsestly by the time i got there, i was out of time. One thing that is odd is the memory game, being dropped off somwhere and being picked up elsewhere. However, the people that works at the snorkel rental place, especially that young kid, clueless to his surroundings. Knew who i was & i who else i was there with in regards of the other party on the tour bus & couldnt inform me of the other party making it back. So knowing the time i had to be picked up, this kid not being observant and missing the bus is all my fault, right? So thanks for that! I had to wait for the city bus to pick me up to find out where the tour bus was to get back on it.
All in all, i only did one activity and did a lot of sitting & waiting around. Snorkeling was fun, but was my excitement was short lived with the turmoil. I had fun snorkeling, and thats about it. Oh yeah, dont worry, ill take care of that bus fare!

Since I attend a riding club, I found the horseback riding a bit lacking in terms of riding experience. Instead of riding along the beach, we rode steadily along the coastline. I thought 40 minutes would be short, but it actually turned out to be nearly an hour of enjoyment. The scenery was lovely and very much like Hawaii, making it a great experience.

I also got to enjoy the garlic shrimp from Macky's, which is difficult to reach on your own, and I was able to try Matsumoto Shave Ice! Shopping at the cute shops in Haleiwa was also fun, so this tour was quite fulfilling.

Moreover, I got to see a sea turtle!!! And I must say, the guide was quite a character (laughs). At first, I was a bit confused, but he created a fun atmosphere and was very knowledgeable about Hawaii. The vibe in the car during the transfers was friendly and cheerful. Since the travel time was long, the atmosphere was important. Looking back, I feel lucky to have had him as our guide.

This is a highly recommended tour where you can enjoy about half of what Hawaii has to offer! Thank you!

乗馬クラブに通ってるので、乗馬という意味では物足りないです。浜辺ではなく、海岸沿いをひたすら常足での騎乗でした。４０分は短いかなと思ってましたが、実際は１時間近かく楽しめました。景色がハワイらしく素敵なのでいい体験になります。
自力で行くことが難しいマッキーズのガーリックシュリンプもいただくことが出来ましたし、マツモトシェイブアイスもトライ出来ました!(^^)!ハレイワの可愛いショップでショッピングも楽しめるので、このツアーはかなり充実しています。
それにウミガメにも逢えました！！！
そして何といっても、ガイドさんがけっこう強烈な方で（笑）最初は？？？と思いましたが、楽しい雰囲気を作って下さるハワイを熟知した方で、移動中の車内は和気あいあいとしていてました。移動時間が長いので、空気感も大事ですね。終わってみればこの方でラッキーだったと思いました。
こちらでハワイの半分位は楽しめちゃったお勧めのツアーです(^_-)-☆

Last year, I went to Haleiwa, but I didn't have enough time to explore, so I decided to use this service this time. The free exploration time was 200 minutes, which coincided perfectly with lunchtime, so I was able to enjoy the shrimp that the driver recommended, which I had been curious about. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any turtles, but since it's nature, that's understandable. Despite having a somewhat rude customer, the driver handled everything professionally. Thank you very much.
I recommend this for those who want to take their time exploring Haleiwa! Next time, I would like to try horseback riding.

昨年ハレイワへ行きましたが、十分に散策時間がとれなかったため今回こちらを利用しました。自由散策時間が200分で、ちょうどお昼時間にかかっているので、ドライバーさんもおすすめだった、気になっていたシュリンプもがっつり食べることができて良かったです。残念ながら亀には会えませんでしたが、自然相手ですから、それもしょうがないですね。ちょっとルードなお客さんがいたにもかかわらず、ドライバーさん、プロな対応でした。ありがとうございました。
ハレイワをゆっくり回りたい方、おすすめです！
今度は乗馬もしてみたいな。

We had a wonderful day with AC as our guide. He was very knowledgeable, pointing out local sites and giving history along the way. He bent over backwards to accommodate everyone on the tour, taking each group to their favorite locations, running back and forth moving us around from hot spot to hotspot as we each finished our excursions. He was very professional at all times. We would hIghly recommend him as a tour guide. We had a blast! He even went out of his way to go back and find a lost article for us- which fell out of the van at a previous stop.

The weather was really nice on the day of the tour, and I was glad I chose the canyon tour. Although December is not typically a hot season for Hawaii, it can get quite warm in the blazing sun. This tour felt more like a forest tour than a canyon horseback ride, but riding along the winding mountain paths under the dappled sunlight of the trees was very pleasant. Additionally, we were able to see wild boars while crossing the grassy area on the hill.

The horse I rode was one that had been used for polo, and it felt like it was retired and spending its old age in a nursing home. It seemed quite old, large, but very calm and easy to ride. At the pasture, there were some lively horses that looked like they had just recently retired. Since they had been used for polo, they were well-trained and could be controlled with the reins to go left, right, or stop. However, if you zone out, the horse might try to squeeze through the trees, which could lead to branches scratching your arms or legs. It’s best to wear a hat, long sleeves, long pants, and athletic shoes. The tour guide mentioned wearing helmets, but there was no mention of helmets on-site.

You can place valuables in the saddlebag and hang it on the saddle. Once you get used to it, you can hold a camera in one hand and take pictures. Some horses might try to graze along the way, so you need to signal that it’s not allowed; otherwise, you’ll fall behind.

The instructor leading the group was a thin woman named Angel, whose age was hard to tell (maybe quite old?). She wore a Santa-style hat (but in blue with white trim!) and sunglasses, giving her a somewhat quirky appearance. She was constantly chatting, which was entertaining.

Riding a horse for an extended period (it was about an hour, I think) while navigating the winding mountain paths is quite a unique experience. I was glad I chose this tour. If I had to wish for something, I would have preferred a slightly livelier horse (laughs).

当日はとても良い天気で渓谷ツアーを選んで良かったと思いました。12月でハワイとしてはそれ程暑くない季節のようですが、炎天下にいるとかなり暑いです。このツアーは渓谷乗馬というよりは林間ツアーと呼んだ方が合っている感じはしますが、木々の木漏れ日の中のアップダウンの続く山道を馬に乗っていくのはとても気持ちが良いものです。また、丘の上の草原を横切る時には野生の猪を見ることもできました。
馬はポロで使われていた馬で、人間でいうと、仕事を退職して老後を老人ホームで過ごしているという感じかな。かなり年取ってるようで、大きいけど、大人しく乗り易かったです。放牧場の方では、まだ退職したばかりと思われる元気のいいのが走り回っていました。ポロで使われていたため、しっかり調教されていて、手綱で右へ左へ止まれなどコントロールできます。但し、ぼけっとしていると木々のギリのところを通ろうとするので、枝で腕や足をひっかかれます。できれば、帽子・長袖・長ズボン・運動靴がベターです。ツアーの案内には、ヘルメット着用とありましたが、現地ではヘルメットの話は一切ありませんでした。貴重品は鞍掛バッグに入れて鞍にかけておけます。慣れてくると片手でカメラを持って写真も撮れます。また、馬によっては道草(まさに途中に生えている草を食べる）するのがいるので、ダメという意思表示をする必要があります。そうしないとどんどん遅れてしまいます。
先頭を行くインストラクターはエンジェルさんという年齢不詳(かなりの歳？）の痩せた女性。形がサンタ風(でも色が青で白い縁飾り付き！）の帽子をかぶってサングラスをかけた、一見奇妙な感じのお婆さん(ってお爺さんの私が言うのも変ですが）で、ひっきりなしに喋ってる人でした。これも面白かった。
自分で手綱を持って長時間（正味1時間くらいだったでしょうか）馬に乗る、しかも山道をくねくねと登ったり下ったり、なんて中々できない経験だと思います。このツアーを選んで良かったと思いました。欲言えば、自分としてはもう少し元気のいい馬の方が良かったかな(笑）。

I don't think you can ride horses in such a free manner in Japan. I was a bit anxious at first with just a brief lecture, but I managed to be okay. However, the guide at the front kept explaining everything in English, and I couldn't understand what she was saying at all, so I had no idea about the precautions. Therefore, I regret to say that I just enjoyed it as background music the whole time.

日本ではあんな野放し状態で馬に乗せてもらえることなんてないと思います。
最初にほんの少しのレクチャーのみで不安でしたがなんとか大丈夫でした。
ただ、先頭をいく案内係のおばちゃんがずっと英語で説明をしながらいってくれるのですが、何を喋っているのかさっぱり分からず、注意事項もさっぱりわからずでした。
なので、失礼ながらBGM感覚でずっと行かせてもらいました。

In Japan, it seems that you can't really go horseback riding without a license, so I wanted to challenge myself in Hawaii and participated. I enjoyed canyon horseback riding at a place called Happy Trails. There are explanations in Japanese, and the instructor teaches you how to handle the horses in broken Japanese, so there's no need to worry about handling the horses. The horses are trained for polo and were surprisingly calm, which was very soothing.

When you think of Hawaii, the image of beaches is strong, but I enjoyed a different side of Hawaii's scenery.

As a note, the red dirt can get quite messy, so it's better to wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

After horseback riding, we stopped by a beach with sea turtles, but overall, the schedule moved quickly, and the day ended in no time.

日本ではライセンスを取らないとなかなか乗馬はできないようなのでハワイでチャレンジしたいと思い参加しました。
Happy Trailsというところで渓谷乗馬を楽しんできました。
日本語の説明書きが書いてあるし、インストラクターの方がカタコトの日本語で馬の扱い方を教えてくれるので、馬の扱い方は心配ないです。馬もポロ用に訓練された馬で驚くほどおとなしく癒されました。
ハワイというとビーチのイメージが強いですが、また違うハワイの景色を堪能しました。

注意事項ですが、結構赤土で足元が汚れることがあるので汚れてもいい恰好で行ったほうがいいですね。

今回は乗馬の後海亀のいるビーチに寄りましたが全体的に乗馬以外は駆け足でスケジュールが進みあっという間に一日が終わってしまいました。

We participated as a family of five. We visited the Dole Plantation, had lunch with Huli Huli chicken in Haleiwa, and then went to Turtle Bay, where everyone had their first horseback riding experience. At first, we were anxious, but the horses were very well trained, and we enjoyed riding between the beautiful beach and the forest. Our guide was an experienced Japanese person, and we had a great time. I think this is a tour I would recommend to everyone.

家族５人で参加しました。ドールプランテーションを見学して、ハレイワでフリフリチキンの昼食をしてからタートルベイへ行き、みんな初めての乗馬体験をしました。最初は不安でしたが、馬はとてもよく調教されており、きれいな浜辺と林の間を馬に乗って散策しました。ガイドも経験豊富な日本人で楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。皆さんにお勧めしたいツアーだと思います。

I was satisfied to have shrimp for lunch! There were a lot of flies, but it was a perfect tour for those who want to enjoy horseback riding! The riding time was long, and I felt a sense of accomplishment from riding more than on other tours. (I had horseback riding experience on a different tour before.) I chose the canyon option, and it was good to be in the mountains rather than by the sea since it was hot even in October. I had a fulfilling day.

お昼はシュリンプ食べれて満足！ハエは多かったですが・・・乗馬を楽しみたいという方にはもってこいのツアーでした！乗っている時間も長く、他のツアーより乗馬をしたという達成感がありました。（以前、違うツアーで乗馬経験しました）渓谷の方を選びましたが、１０月でも暑かったので海より山でよかったです。１日充実できました。

For our three-generation trip, we chose the Pineapple Train.

We arrived 15 minutes late from the scheduled meeting time. Furthermore, there was a misunderstanding regarding the number of people, resulting in not having enough tickets for the Pineapple Train, which led to the need to go to the office to pick them up.

Next, we headed to the pickup location for my brother's family, but despite being past the meeting time, they were not at the designated spot. The driver kindly searched all over and even checked places that are often mistaken. Since we couldn't get in touch, they ended up driving to the hotel where we were staying. Embarrassingly, we were still at the hotel, and it was just a simple case of being late, but we ended up departing 30 minutes behind schedule. I truly apologize for that.

Despite the various troubles, the driver kept the atmosphere lively in the car, which I was really grateful for.

The Pineapple Train was peaceful and provided a relaxing time for adults. However, when I went to the restroom on the Pineapple Train, I lost track of time and couldn't go shopping. I also couldn't use the 15% off ticket that you receive when booking through VELTRA.

During the sea turtle watching at Alii Beach, they took us early considering the time the turtles would be on the beach, allowing us to see the turtles and take photos.

While exploring Haleiwa Town with kids, we spent most of our time at Matsumoto's Shave Ice and lunch, so there was no time to go to Giovanni's. We did have a little time for shopping, like buying an aloha shirt from Kahala.

In the car, the driver shared a lot about the sightseeing spots, making it a meaningful time. We were able to return to Waikiki by 3 PM.

三世代での旅行で、パイナップル列車を選択しました。

待ち合わせの時間より15分遅れての到着でした。さらに、人数が間違って伝わっており、パイナップル列車のチケット枚数が足りないため、事務所まで取りに行くという事態が発生しました。

次に、兄の家族のピックアップ場所に向かったのですが、待ち合わせの時間を過ぎていたにもかかわらず、指定の場所にいなかったため、あちこち探し回ってくれたり、よく間違えがちな場所にも見に行ってくれたり、連絡もつかなかったので、最後には滞在しているホテルにまで車をまわして頂きました。恥ずかしながらホテルにまだいており、単なる遅刻だったのですが、30分も出発時間に遅れることになってしまいました。本当に申し訳なかったです。

様々なトラブルがあったにもかかわらず、ドライバーの方は車内を盛り上げて下さり、本当にありがたかったです。

パイナップル列車はのどかで、大人が癒される時間でした。パイナップル列車に乗って、トイレに行くと時間はなくなってしまって、買い物はできませんでした。ＶＥＬＴＲＡ予約時にもらえる15％オフのチケットを使うことができませんでした。

アリイビーチでのウミガメ鑑賞では、ウミガメが浜にいる時間を考慮して、先に連れて行ってくれたので、浜にいるウミガメを見ることが出来、写真を撮ることができました。
ハレイワタウンでの散策は子供連れだと、マツモトのシェイブアイスとランチでほとんど時間が無くなってしまったので、ジョバンニまで行く時間はなかったです。ＫＡＨＡＲＡのアロハシャツを買ったりと少しのお買い物の時間はありました。
車内ではドライバーの方が観光スポットをたくさん話してくれて、有意義な時間でした。15時にはワイキキに戻ってこれました。

We participated as a couple with our sixth-grade son. First, we went to Moalua Garden, then to a coffee shop, and finally to Dole Plantation. We spent 30 minutes at Dole, which was enough time to eat soft serve ice cream and look at souvenirs. Next, we headed to a beach with turtles. There were only two swimming in the water, and they didn't come ashore.

We had a 60-minute meal time in Haleiwa Town. I had previously communicated my desire for Huli Huli chicken and garlic shrimp, and the guide took us to a restaurant, but it was disappointing that it wasn't Marukey's. I regretted not asking to go to Marukey's. Since it was before 11 a.m., we were able to buy the Huli Huli chicken quickly. The taste was just average.

For horseback riding, we walked in a line along a mountain path, but the scenery became monotonous halfway through, making the 90 minutes feel long. I was very disappointed that the photos taken by the local guide with my camera didn't turn out well. The horseback riding itself was fine for elementary school students, but I think the coastal course would have had better views.

The guide explained various things about Hawaii on the bus. While the information about history and current life was helpful, I honestly found the discussions about celebrities' private lives unnecessary and uninteresting.

夫婦と小学6年生の息子で参加しました。
最初にモアルナガーデン、次にコーヒー屋さん、ドールプランテーションへ。
ドールは３０分の滞在、ソフトクリームを食べてお土産を見るのには十分でした。
次に亀のいる浜辺へ。海の中に2匹泳いでいるだけで上陸はしていませんでした。
ハレイワタウンで６０分の食事時間。あらかじめ、フリフリチキンとガーリックシュリンプの希望を伝えるとガイドさんがお店に連れて行ってくれますが、マーキーズではないお店だったのが残念でした。マーキーズに行きたいと言えばよかったとちょっと後悔。フリフリチキンは時間が11時前だったせいかすぐに買えました。味はまあ普通です。
乗馬は、山道をずーっと隊列になって歩いて行きますが途中から景色が単調で９０分が長く感じられました。現地のガイドさんに頼んだカメラの写真がうまく撮れていなくて非常に残念。
乗馬自体は小学生でも大丈夫でしたが、海辺のコースの方が眺めが良くてよかったかなと思いました。
ガイドさんがバスの中で色々とハワイの事を説明してくれます。歴史や現在の生活については為になりましたが、芸能人の私生活の話はプライベートなことですし興味がないので正直余計な話だと思いました。

I was nervous before riding the horse, but the smart horses gave me a wonderful time. They worked hard to climb steep hills and skillfully avoided muddy areas, making the 90 minutes fly by without any scary moments. The guide also made great use of our time, showing us various places and preparing meals, which made us very happy. My family and I are talking about wanting to participate again!

馬に乗る前は緊張していましたが、賢い馬たちに、楽しい時間を過ごさせてもらいました。
かなり急な坂を頑張って登ってくれたり、ぬかるみを上手に避けて歩いてくれて、怖い思いをすることなくあっという間の９０分でした。
ガイドの方も時間をうまく使って、色々なところに案内してくれたり、食事の準備を下さって大変うれしかったです。また参加したいね～と家族みんなで話しています。

I signed up for canyon horseback riding, but due to bad weather, it was canceled and changed to a seaside course. While the weather is no one's fault, I was really looking forward to it, so it's disappointing. However, I was glad that I could still go horseback riding on the seaside course. Thank you to the guide for being so kind. I will try canyon horseback riding again next year.

渓谷乗馬を申し込みしましたが、天候が悪くキャンセルになり海辺コースに変更になりました。天候は誰の責任ではありませんが、楽しみにしていただけに残念です。しかし海辺コースでも乗馬が出来たので良かった。ガイドさんも親切にして頂きありがとうございました。来年また渓谷乗馬に再挑戦します。

Great day at the north beach. We chose the waterfall hike as our activity in the morning. You could have done snorkelling or bike rides if preferred. We then had free time on waimea bay beach. In the afternoon we had a free lunch instead of doing another activity such as kayaking. Saw sea turtles at a beach on the way home

The guide was Japanese, and since it was a tour with only Japanese people, I enjoyed hearing various deep stories about Hawaii in the van. The guide was a great storyteller and a fun person.

On this day, the North Shore had high waves due to the typhoon, and it seemed that the turtles couldn't come up to the beach, so there were no turtles at Turtle Bay. However, they took us to another beach where we could see turtles on the way back!

For lunch, they took us to a recommended shrimp restaurant, and it was really delicious. The seaside horseback riding plan was just the right length at 45 minutes, and it felt great. The horses weren't startled by the sound of the waves, and they were all calm, but some horses got really into eating grass during the ride, which seemed challenging for the riders (laughs). The riders looked like they were having fun despite the struggles.

I think it's a tour that people of all ages, from children to the elderly, can enjoy.

ガイドさんは日本人で、日本人しかいないツアーだったので、バンの中でいろんなハワイのディープな話が聞けて楽しかったです。ガイドさんは話が上手で面白い人でした。

この日のノースショアは台風の影響で波が高く、亀が海岸に上がってこれないようで、タートルベイに亀がいませんでした。しかし、帰りに亀が見られる別の海岸に連れてってくれたので見ることができました！
お昼にはおすすめのシュリンプのお店にも連れて行ってもらったのですが、本当に美味しかったです。
海辺乗馬プランは45分とちょうど良い時間で、気持ちいいです。馬は波の音にも驚かないし、みんなおとなしいですが、馬によっては外乗の途中で草を夢中で食べてしまう奴がいて操作が大変そうでした(笑)乗っている人は苦労しつつそれなりに楽しそうでしたが。

子供から年配の人まで楽しめるツアーだと思います。

Not only was the horseback riding experience enjoyable, but I also got to visit Moanalua Gardens, Dole Plantation, and Haleiwa, which made for a fulfilling trip! Even though it wasn't part of the original plan, I was glad that I could also visit the North Shore Soap Factory and Honolulu Coffee upon request!

乗馬体験だけではなく、モアナルアガーテン・ドールプランテーション・ハレイワも行けて充実していました！当初の予定にはなかったにも関わらず、リクエストに応じてノースショアソープファクトリーやホノルルコーヒーも行けてよかったです！

The tour heading towards the North Shore always includes "This Tree, What Tree" and "Dole Plantation," which can be a bit tiresome, but it's understandable since there are first-timers.
The main horseback riding experience lasts about 90 minutes, going along a mountain path with ups and downs, so it's quite fulfilling.
I've also experienced horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch, but I enjoyed this one more in terms of riding time and course.
After riding, we had an hour of free time in the town of Haleiwa, so I was able to indulge in the Huli Huli chicken from Ray's.

ノースショア方面へ向かうツアーには「この木なんの木」「ドールプランテーション」が必ず入るので辟易しますが、「初」の方もいらっしゃるので仕方がないですね。
メインの乗馬は約90分、アップ、ダウンのある山道を行くので乗りごたえたっぷりです。
クアロア牧場の乗馬も経験ありますが、乗馬時間、コース等こちらの方が楽しめました。
乗馬後はハレイワの町で1時間の自由時間があったので「Ｒａｙ’ｓ」のフリフリチキンも堪能できました。

Even as a beginner, I was able to enjoy horseback riding. The sightseeing in North Shore on the way to the location was also very enjoyable, thanks to the guide's thorough explanations and attentive service. We visited the popular garlic shrimp wagon, the beach where the honu (sea turtles) appear, the Dole Plantation, and a coffee farm—places you must see when touring North Shore. It was a quick yet enriching tour. I want to participate again with my friends next time!

We participated as a family of five, all beginners. Our Japanese guide and driver, Masa, kept us entertained with his fun conversations and made sure we enjoyed ourselves at every stop. He casually took us to a recommended lunch spot, which was a relief in the heat, and thanks to him, we were able to enjoy our free time until the last minute. The horseback riding was at a cozy riding club run by Mark and Angel, and I was surprised that we got to ride right after a brief explanation! However, as we gradually became one with the horse, the excitement when we emerged from the dense valley into an open area was unforgettable. The only downside was that the restroom was a simple mountain toilet, which had quite an odor, but I definitely want to go back to meet the uniquely charming horses again. Thank you, Spirits!

初心者ばかりの家族５名で参加。日本語ガイド兼ドライバーのマサさんは楽しいおしゃべりで飽きさせず、行く先々で私たちを楽しませてくれました。おすすめのランチのところへも気軽に連れて行ってくれて、暑い中助かりましたし、おかげでフリータイムもぎりぎりまで楽しむことができました。乗馬はマークさんとエンジェルさんが経営するアットホームな乗馬クラブで、簡単な解説後すぐに乗ることになったのにはびっくり！でも、次第に馬と一体となり、うっそうとした渓谷から開けた場所に出た時の感動は忘れられません。唯一、トイレだけは山の簡易トイレだったのでニオイが大変でしたが、またぜひ個性豊かな馬たちに会いに行きたいと思います。スピリッツ、ありがとう！

I drove from Waikiki to the North Shore (Haleiwa) to see wild sea turtles and experienced horseback riding at Turtle Bay. It was my first time, but the horse walked calmly in the direction of the reins. Riding along the beach with the refreshing sea breeze was the best.

ワイキキから車でノースショア（ハレイワ）で野生のウミガメを鑑賞し、 タートルベイで乗馬を体験しました。初めてでしたが、おとなしく手綱の方向に歩いてくれます。さわやかな海風の中の海辺の乗馬は最高です。

Without driving myself, I enjoyed a relaxed horseback riding experience. Since this is an annual tradition, I’ve become friends with the owner. It feels refreshing. Our family trip to Hawaii revolves around this horseback riding, and it feels like summer has come to an end this year.

When we arrived at Happy Trails, we signed a waiver and then received a briefing from the staff on how to ride. Finally, we set off for the valley ride. Just when I thought the path was gentle, we encountered uphill and downhill slopes, and at the midpoint, we enjoyed a refreshing view of Haleiwa Bay. We took a commemorative photo at the end, and the horseback riding time flew by.

In Japan, small children cannot ride horses, but here, they can enjoy thrilling valley rides under parental responsibility. I was also able to use the points I earned last year.

自分で運転せず、気軽に乗馬体験、毎年のことなのでオーナーとも仲良くなれ？気分爽快です。我が家のハワイ旅行はこの乗馬がメイン、今年の夏も終わったなという感じです。
ハッピートレイルズに着くと、免責同意書にサインをして、その後スタッフから乗馬のやり方のレクチャーを受けいよいよ渓谷乗馬、なだらかな道かと思えば、登り、下りの坂道を通り中間でハレイワ湾を眺め爽快な気分になり最後に記念撮影、あっという間の乗馬時間がすぎますね。
日本では、小さい子は乗馬できないですが、ここでは、親の責任においてスリル満点な渓谷乗馬を楽しめます。
昨年のポイントもしっかりと使わせてもらいました。

I visited the Dole Plantation. The tour description on the website mentioned enjoying the pineapple train or maze for 90 minutes, but I believe this should be corrected as it refers to the upper section of the Dole Plantation. The North Shore was nice, but I had too much time there, which made it a bit boring. I couldn't see the sea turtles coming ashore, but it was great to see them swimming.

ドールのプランテーションに行きました。HPのツアー紹介でパイナップル列車または迷路を楽しむで90分と記載あったのですが、これは上段のドールプランテーションのことですので、記載を修正すべきだと思います。ノースショアも良かったが、時間がありすぎて、少し退屈でした。海ガメ見学も、砂浜に上がっているのは見られませんでしたが、泳いでいる姿が見れて良かったです。

It was a bit disappointing that, perhaps due to it being the peak summer season, there were many participants, which caused delays in pickup and made our subsequent schedule quite packed.

At the Dole Plantation, during our brief 15-minute stop, we managed to eat the famous pineapple ice, buy souvenirs (the shop here is really well-stocked), and use the restroom. We didn't stop in Haleiwa Town, but we took the garlic shrimp to go and ate it after arriving at "Happy Trail." It took just 10 minutes.

Overall, it was a very busy tour, but the horseback riding was fulfilling since we had 90 minutes for it. There were some steep slopes that made me a bit nervous, but as long as you trust the horse and stay calm, you'll be fine. Only the kids wore helmets, so it might be better to have a hat. We left large bags in the car and only took valuables in a special bag attached to the horse. You can take photos freely while on the horse. Since you'll have one hand free, I think it's better to use a camera with a wrist strap instead of a smartphone, as it feels risky to drop a phone.

We saw sea turtles! There were some basking in the sun and others swimming with their heads popping up.

In one tour, we experienced a lot: the sea, mountains, pineapples, horses, and sea turtles. It was a fun and packed itinerary, though the travel time felt a bit long.

夏のトップシーズンだったからか参加者が多く、ピックアップに時間がかかったことから、その後の予定がどんどん詰まってしまったのがちょっと残念でした。

ドール・プランテーションでは、立ち寄ったわずか15分の間に、評判のパイナップル・アイスを食べてお土産（ここのショップは超充実してます）を買い、トイレに行って戻るという荒技。ハレイワ・タウンには降りず、ガーリック・シュリンプはテイクアウトして「ハッピー・トレイル」に到着してから食べました。10分で。

とにかく忙し〜いツアーでしたが、乗馬は90分取ってあっただけにとても充実していました。ところどころ急坂があって、恐いかな？という場面もありましたが、馬を信頼して落ち着いて乗っていれば大丈夫です。ヘルメットはお子さんだけだったので、帽子があった方がよいかもしれません。大きな荷物は車の中で、貴重品だけ専用の袋に入れて馬に装着しました。馬の背で写真は自由に取れます。片手になりますので、スマホではなく、カメラのベルトを手首に通して持って撮るといいと思います。スマホだと落としそうで恐いです。

ウミガメ、いました！甲羅干しをしているのや、頭をプカッと出して泳いでいるのや、いろいろいましたよ。

１回のツアーで、海と山、パイナップル、馬、ウミガメと、盛りだくさんな内容で楽しいです。ちょっと移動時間が長かったかな。

I participated with my first-year middle school daughter. She has been interested in horseback riding since she was little, and although she had some experience with lead riding, this was her first time riding seriously. We were torn between the seaside course and the Haleiwa course, but since we had never been to Haleiwa, we chose the Haleiwa and Dole combo canyon plan. The Dole pineapple ice cream is incredibly delicious. The garlic shrimp in Haleiwa was also tasty! The guide explained the characteristics of the many shops, and we were able to choose which ones we wanted to visit. For the canyon horseback riding, the guide advised us on how to ride and other important points beforehand, so we were able to start without any anxiety. We were blessed with good weather, and the sunlight filtering through the trees in the quiet canyon was very magical and beautiful. After passing through the canyon, we were greeted by the stunning blue ocean of the North Shore! I recommend bringing a camera since you can take photos. There was a bag attached to the saddle that could hold a camera and a water bottle. We even got to see sea turtles, and we were very satisfied with this packed experience.

中学一年生の娘と参加しました。
小さな頃から乗馬に興味を持っていて、引き馬の体験はあったものの本格的な乗馬は初めて。
海辺コースと迷いましたが、ハレイワは行ったことがないのでハレイワ、ドールとセットの渓谷プランを選択しました。
ドールのパイナップルアイスは素晴らしく美味しいです。ハレイワでのガーリックシュリンプも美味！
ガイドさんがたくさんあるお店の特徴を教えてくださり、どのお店に行きたいか選んで連れて行ってくださりました。
渓谷乗馬も、事前にガイドさんが馬の乗り方など注意点をアドバイスくださり、不安なくスタートできました。
お天気に恵まれたので、静かな渓谷の中の木々の木洩れ陽がとても幻想的で素敵でした。
渓谷を抜けたら、わ〜っと視界に飛び込むノースショアの青い海！
写真を撮れるのでカメラ持参をオススメします。
カメラとペットボトル程度の荷物を入れられるバッグが鞍に着いてました。
ウミガメも見れるし、テンコ盛り企画に大満足しました。

I chose the free time plan because I wanted to relax in the town of Haleiwa. During the waiting time, I had the opportunity to talk with the driver and shared our action plan (wanting to eat garlic shrimp and chicken from Fumi's, and enjoy some Matsumoto's Shave Ice, as well as relax at the beach). The driver kindly offered to guide us. Since there were only two small groups exploring Haleiwa, we might have been lucky, but we stopped at the shrimp and chicken place to shop, and then he took us to the beach. With small children in tow, we were quite relieved not to have to move around on our own.

At the beach, we encountered a downpour and enjoyed shrimp and chicken in the rain, which was delicious. Within the limited time, we were able to efficiently achieve our goals, and I felt that participating in this tour was worthwhile. I thoroughly enjoyed Haleiwa.

I have one request for Veltra: while it states that the tour fee includes a tip, it would be helpful if you could specify how much the tip amount is. Since the driver was very kind, I was unsure how much to give as a tip, and knowing the included tip amount would make it easier to decide how much to give on the spot. I'm not very familiar with tipping customs.

ハレイワの街でゆっくりしたかったので、フリータイムプランを選びました。
待ち時間にドライバーさんと話す機会があったので、自分達の行動プラン（フリフリチキンとガーリックシュリンプ、マツモトシェイブアイスを食べたいこと、ビーチでゆっくり過ごしたいこと）を伝えると、案内してくださるとのこと。（ハレイワの街を散策するグループは2組で少人数だったので、運がよかったのかもしれませんが、）シュリンプ・チキンのお店で車を止めて頂き買い物し、その後、ビーチまで連れて行ってくださいました。小さな子供連れでしたので、自分達の足での移動が不安だったので、大変助かりました。
ビーチではスコールに遭遇し、雨の中、シュリンプやチキンを頂きましたが美味しかったです。
限られた時間の中で、効率的に目的を果たすことができて、このツアーに参加して得をした気持ちになりました。ハレイワを満喫できました。

Veltraさんに1点お願いがありまして、ツアー代金にチップを含むとありますが、チップ代がいくらなのかを明記して頂けると、わかりやすく助かります。ドライバーさんに親切にして頂いたので、チップをいくら渡すべきか悩み、ツアー代に含まれるチップ代がいくらかがわかると、その場で渡すチップの額を考えやすいと思いました。チップの習慣に不慣れですので。

Last year, I went horseback riding in the canyon with my grandchild, and we did it twice during our stay this year as well. You might wonder why we went twice in two days, but that's how enjoyable it is. If you have the time, leisure, and budget, it's definitely worth trying. I've experienced other horseback riding activities, but so far, this is my favorite.

The owner, Mr. ○○, is friendly and provides thorough instructions on how to ride and control the horse. The course includes ups and downs and runs through wooded areas without a lead rope, and before you know it, the horseback riding time is over while enjoying views of Haleiwa Bay below.

If I can go to Hawaii again next year, I will likely go horseback riding again. I want to share more of my experiences, but seeing is believing, and everyone has different senses and ways to enjoy things, so I can't say much more. However, I definitely encourage you to try it!

　昨年に続き今年も孫と一緒に渓谷乗馬を行いました。それも、滞在中2回も。
　何で2回、二日間もと思われるかもしれませんが、それが楽しいんです、時間と暇と予算があれば、やってみる価値がありますね、他の乗馬体験もしましたが、今のところ、ここが一番気に入っています。
　オーナーの○○さんも、気さくで乗馬のやり方、馬の操縦方法を丁寧にレクチャーしてくれます。
　コースもアップダウンや木立の中を引き綱無しで走行し、途中ハレイワの湾を眼下に見てあっという間の乗馬時間でした。
　おそらく、来年ハワイに行ければ、また乗馬をするでしょう。
　もっと体験したことを書きたいのですが、百聞は一見にしかず、人それぞれに感覚、楽しみ方が違うので、何ともいえませんが、是非体験してみてください。

Overall it was a family friendly, enjoyable and relaxing experience. We all had a wonderful time.
