Skydiving was something I had always wanted to try at least once in my life. I'm glad I was able to experience it in Hawaii. The waiting time was shorter than I expected, which was nice. When it was time to jump, it happened so quickly that I didn't have time to feel nervous or scared. Once I was in the air, I was just amazed by the beautiful scenery. It ended in no time, but it was a lot of fun and a great experience.

What I liked was that my instructor was great, and even though I jumped early on, I was one of the last to land, which allowed me to take my time and enjoy the various views.

As advice, it gets quite cold until you reach altitude and until you come out from under the clouds after descending. I think it would be better to wear a long-sleeve T-shirt or something similar.

人生で一度はやってみたかったスカイダイビング。ハワイで経験できてよかったです。待ち時間も思っていたより短くて良かったです。いざ飛ぶ時はあっという間すぎて、緊張とか怖いとか思う暇もなかったです。飛んでからはとにかく綺麗な景色に感動するのみでした。あっという間に終わってしまいましたがとても楽しくていい経験になりました。
気に入ったところは、インストラクターのあたりが良かったのか最初の方に飛び降りたのに陸に着くのは１番最後くらいで、いろんな景色をゆっくり見ることができたこと。
アドバイスとしては、上空に向かうまでと、降りてから雲の下に出るまで結構寒いです。長袖のＴシャツとかを着て行った方がいいなと思いました

I confirmed my reservation with a phone call the day before, but I was asked when I made the reservation since it wasn't found (I had booked it in October of the previous year). Eventually, they found my name.

On the day of the event, I checked the color of the bus and the location. A green bus with zipline photos came to pick us up. We picked up three groups from other hotels and left fully booked. After leaving the last pickup hotel, we had just over an hour's drive, during which the members on board started introducing themselves.

After that, the driver shared information about local landmarks, Hawaiian history, the Hawaiian language, immigration history, and education, and before we knew it, we had arrived. After arriving, we used the restroom (there are no toilets along the course), stored our valuables and luggage, entered our consent forms on the computer (available in Japanese), put on helmets and gear, and started. (Only camera types that hang around the neck were allowed.)

After everyone cleared the practice course, we boarded the buggies to proceed to the main course. There were various instructions like extending arms, tightening arms, and bending legs, but I was quite scared (laughs). When I was saying, "I'm so nervous, wait a minute," the fun veteran guide joked, "I'm nervous too, it's my first day as a guide!"

Our group consisted of four family members (a couple and two elementary school children), three young girls from Australia, two parents from America, and two couples of unknown nationality, with three guides assisting us. Generally, one person helped with the gear, while two welcomed us at the finish line (there are two lanes for one course).

The course included not only sliding like Tarzan but also a section where firefighters climbed using only their arms, a bungee-like jump section, and towards the end, a backward challenge course and an upside-down challenge course (for those who wanted to try). There were also points for hydration, snacks with bananas, and snacks with tomatoes.

We completed all the courses in a friendly atmosphere and finished the two-hour course. They also sent us many photos for free via email. We were taken back by bus, creating wonderful memories.

As a side note, I was unsure about the timing for tips. When I asked an American participant, they said they gave $10 each to the guide right after finishing and thought it wasn't necessary for the driver. I hurriedly searched for the guide to give the tip, but they had gone to lunch, so I asked another staff member for help, which relieved me. However, since the children were also taken care of and we had fun, I wished I could have thanked the guide directly. During the round trip on the bus, I regretted not giving a little something to the driver who provided such a fun experience.

I think it would have been even more enjoyable if I understood English better, but they were very considerate towards my husband and two elementary school children, who hardly speak any English, so it was all good!

There are similar attractions in Japan that I have participated in, but compared to those, they helped with gear and ensured safety very well. They also communicated closely with each other using walkie-talkies to proceed smoothly. The course was well-paved, and since we were sliding from a high place, we didn't get dirty.

最初、練習コースを全員クリアした後、バギーに乗って本番コースに進みました。
腕を伸ばす、腕をしめる、足を曲げる等々色んな注意がありましたが、恐怖でかなりびびりました（笑）
「緊張する～、ちょっと待って～～～」とビビっていたら、「僕も緊張してる～、僕もガイド初日なんだ～！」と冗談を言って笑わせてくれる楽しいベテランガイドさんでした。私たち家族4人（夫婦と小学生2人）、オーストラリアからの若い女の子たち3人、アメリカからの親子2人、国籍不明のカップル2人に対して3人のガイドさんでした。
基本一人が装着を手伝い、二人がゴール（１つのコースに対し、２レーンあります）が迎えてくれる流れでした。
ターザンのように滑っていくだけでなく、消防士さんがロープを腕だけで登って行くようなコース、バンジーのように飛び降りるコース、そして最後あたりでは、後ろ向きでチャレンジするコース、さかさまになってチャレンジするコース（チャレンジしたい人だけ）、がありました。
給水するポイント、バナナがおやつのポイント、トマトがおやつのポイントもありました。
和気あいあいとすべてのコースをすませ、2時間ほどのコースを終了。
写真もメールで無料でたくさん送ってくださいました。
バスで送ってもらって、良い思い出作りができました。

☆余談ですが、チップのタイミングに困りました。アメリカ人の参加者に聞いたら、終わってすぐ、ガイド一人に対して10ドルずつ渡した～、ドライバーには必要ないと思う～と言ってました。
大慌てで渡すためにガイドさんを探したのですが、ランチに行ってしまったそうで、他のスタッフさんにお願いして、ホッとしたのですが、子どもたちもケアしてもらったし、楽しかったので直接お礼を言って渡したかったな～と思いました。
往復中距離のバスの中、楽しいガイドをしてくださったドライバーさんにもやっぱり少しだけでもお渡しするべきじゃなかったなかな～と悔やんでます。

☆英語がもっと理解できたら、もっと楽しかった～と思いますが、ほとんど話せない夫・小学生子ども2人に対しても気配りをしてくださり、とっても楽しむことができたので、大丈夫です！！

☆日本でも似たようなアトラクションがあり、参加したことがあったのですが、それに比べて、ほとんど装着等手伝って安全確認もバッチリしてくださいます。またトランシーバーで密にスタッフ同士連絡を取り合ってくださって進めてくださいます。きちんとコースも舗装されていて、また高いところを滑っていくため、汚れたりもしません。

I had wanted to go skydiving for a long time, but I never had the chance until this trip to Hawaii, which I was looking forward to the most.

While ascending, I looked for whales in the ocean (they can sometimes be seen from December to April). Once outside, I experienced an incredible feeling unlike anything I had ever felt before.

The only downside was that the wind was strong that day, and we didn't reach our target altitude. Of course, I didn't realize this until I was refunded, which was a bit disappointing.

If I have the opportunity to go skydiving again in the future, I would love to do it as many times as possible, and I hope that one day I can jump on my own.

I signed up for skydiving on a whim. Since we gathered at 4:50 AM, I wasn't too scared due to my sleepiness. Haha. My son and I just did the 90 minute scenic tour. It was his first time and it was absolutely fantastic! The whole trail was very smooth and the view was breathtaking like no other. Our wranglers were very knowledgeable about the trail and very attentive. My son who is 8 absolutely enjoyed the ride and had no problem riding this trail. Definitely a ‘must activity’ at Gunstock Ranch!

It takes about two hours to get to Gunstock Ranch by taking The Bus number 55 from Ala Moana. After passing by Kualoa Ranch, you will find Gunstock Ranch further ahead. There is only a sign along the road, so I almost missed the bus stop at Kamehameha Hwy + Opp 56-155. After getting off the bus and walking down the road marked by the sign, I arrived at Gunstock Ranch, where I could hear cheerful voices from a children's swimming class.

I arrived quite a bit earlier than the check-in time, so I spent some time playing with the horses and goats. After listening to the safety instructions, I decided not to wear a helmet and signed a separate waiver form. About 30 minutes into the horseback riding, we reached a hill where we could see the surrounding scenery, and Grace and Chad, who guided us, took some photos for us. The staff were very friendly and helped my mother, who doesn't understand English at all and is inexperienced with horseback riding, feel comfortable. I had a fulfilling two hours riding along a path covered with jungle-like trees on a very friendly horse, an experience I don't usually get to enjoy. I definitely want to visit again.

受付時間よりだいぶ早く着いてしまったので、馬やヤギと戯れながら時間を潰し、注意事項などを聞いて、私はヘルメットをかぶらないことにしたので、別途既定の用紙へサインをしました。乗馬を開始すること30分、あたりの景色を一望出来る丘の上にたどり着き、案内をしてくれたGraceとChadに写真を撮ってもらいました。とっても気さくなスタッフの方々で、英語が全くわからず乗馬にも不慣れな私の母をしっかりとリードしてくれました。ジャングルのような木々に覆われた道をとてもフレンドリーな馬と進む、普段味わえない充実した2時間を過ごすことができました。またぜひ訪れたいと思います。

This was my second time skydiving, and it was just as amazing as the first! Since I knew what to expect, I felt a bit more excitement than during my first jump. It was my first skydiving experience with my two daughters. My daughter was feeling anxious, but thanks to the staff's excellent guidance, she was able to relax and said it was the best experience. The photos turned out great, and we were satisfied. However, it was a bit disappointing that we couldn't get a video. We left something in the car on the way back, but we were able to contact them right away, and they brought it to the pickup location, which was a great help. Compared to some ranches, there are hardly any Japanese people, and if you're okay with only English, I highly recommend it! The location is North Shore, just a few minutes by car from Giovanni's. After the activities, you can enjoy sightseeing in Haleiwa and also try garlic shrimp, so definitely go for it!

Until the parachute opened, I experienced the wind, and after it opened, I enjoyed the scenery without any fear at all. The instructor was cheerful and friendly, which really boosted my spirits. I took bus number 55 from Ala Moana Center, and it took about just under two hours to arrive. I checked the map for the bus stop where I needed to get off, and the driver helped me when I was getting off. There were two of us who experienced horseback riding; we had tried it about a year ago at Kualoa Ranch. This time, I chose Gunstock Ranch because they had a longer plan available. The horses were very easy to handle, and although there were times they didn't listen, the guide was quick to help. When we reached the top of the mountain, the view was stunning, and we were able to take commemorative photos, which made me very satisfied. I would love to experience this again if I have the chance! ☺︎︎

My wife and daughters (13 and 15) and I went riding at Gunstock Ranch. Booking online was a breeze, and our wrangler Kate was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. She efficiently set us up on our horses and went over basic riding skills. The horses were very healthy and well behaved. Kate took us on a 90 min ride around the ranch, stopping for a very scenic photo op at the top of the hill. The experience was wonderful, very organized and enjoyable. We will definately visit Gunstock again if we return to Oahu!
