The meals were a buffet and they were delicious. I couldn't drink alcohol. The show was the world's largest Polynesian show and it was incredibly impressive. However, it took over an hour by bus one way, so it seems better to plan with some extra time.

I went to the local area thanks to the fun sightseeing guide, MAKI. I'm glad I chose the deluxe option. The quality of the food might not be as high as in Japan, but my children and husband were happy and we all enjoyed ourselves. The show was breathtaking!!! I almost cried. I thought the professionalism was amazing. There were people who had enjoyed it more than twice, and I can understand why. I absolutely recommend it. MAKI's guidance was wonderful.

I had originally booked standard seats, but on the day of the show, I was able to upgrade to better seats for an additional fee. I'm glad I did, as it was great to see the performance from a good spot. The story was easy to follow, and I thoroughly enjoyed the various dances. The buffet was delicious too! Next time, I hope to spend a whole day here.

I thought my aunt, who teaches dance, would really like this, so I signed up. The meal was a buffet, so I didn't have high expectations, but it was actually quite good. They piled a lot of big crab on my plate, but I couldn't finish it.

The show was mesmerizing, with a handsome guy and a lovely woman. The dancers had beautifully toned bodies. The story was easy to understand, and my aunt was so moved that she teared up.

I'm really glad I participated, and I would love to see it again if I have the chance. However, next time I will dress warmly. It was incredibly cold while watching the show, and I was shivering. I couldn't even enjoy the complimentary ice cream...

If you don't have a rental car, I recommend a tour that includes transportation! I also tried to go by bus, but the hotel staff stopped me, haha. The guided tour on-site was great! The night show was also moving!! It was absolutely fun with no complaints!!

I chose the deluxe type because I thought it would provide good seats to watch the show. Indeed, I had a great seat in the sixth row from the front, right in the center. The deluxe package included not only the show but also special meal vouchers for dishes like crab and ice cream, although I didn't use them (I had already eaten a bit too much). The buffet area was separate from the standard one. Dinner starts at 6 PM, but they cleaned up quickly, and by before 7 PM, there was only a little left. I guess the main focus is on carving the meat. The food was just okay. The crab had about four to five legs, and the Japanese guests sitting next to me seemed to enjoy it. Unfortunately, the downside is that you can't take any photos during the show. I wished I could capture a few memories. Also, it takes over an hour from Waikiki, so the distance is a bit of a concern. However, the show is enjoyable as it has a story format and lasts just under an hour and a half.

It was quite far from Waikiki, and there was only one road. I think it was pretty far. (It's better to use the restroom beforehand.) When we arrived at the cultural center and went inside, we were taken to have a meal first. It was a buffet, and there were a lot of customers. The food was delicious, especially since I wasn't expecting much. The main Polynesian show had a storyline and was very nice. However, I feel like once you've seen it, that's probably enough.

It was the first activity out of four planned for our week. Everyone of us really enjoyed our day here at the PCC this was due to our tour guide mostly but all who were involved were also great. We had the best lunch at pounders and again the dinner was to die for. The breath of life show was an amazing experience. We definitely would recommend this to everyone we know. The Polynesian Cultural Centre was worth this visit and more as we couldn't fit everything into 1/2 day. The students from the university were very grateful to their visitors but we were grateful to them for sharing their various cultures with us.

Since we had a Japanese guide, even our small children (a second grader and a kindergartener) were able to understand and have a meaningful time. I believe that having a Japanese guide is essential when traveling abroad with kids!

We visited on our honeymoon.
In the morning, we toured selected spots on the island with a fun guide, allowing us to see various aspects of Oahu.
At a shopping center along the way, we were able to see many beautiful Hawaiian jewelry pieces, which made my wife very happy.
The Polynesian Cultural Center offered various shows and experiences, and we enjoyed learning about the culture.
The evening show was spectacular.
This is definitely a place we want to visit again when we come back to Hawaii.

The Polynesian dance show was large in scale, had a solid story, was easy to understand, and was truly moving. The fire dance, in particular, was breathtaking. Since the venue is spacious, I think it's better to choose a plan that gets you as close to the front as possible. We were relatively near the front, so we could feel the dancers' passionate performances up close. Even though I should have been sleepy from the time difference, I was able to enjoy the show until the very end. I'm glad I participated!

After finishing the buffet-style dinner, we moved to the neighboring theater, and honestly, I thought that the show would just feature hula and fire dances alternating one after another until it started. However, it was completely different. The performance here was a well-structured play with a solid story and direction, truly a comprehensive art form.

With nearly 50 cast members performing without a moment's pause in front of an audience of 700 to 800, they sang, danced, and ran around the stage with incredible energy. It was as if the actors in a musical were passionately singing their feelings; here, the performers used their bodies like percussion instruments, showcasing a powerful group performance.

The direction that accomplished remarkable scene changes in a short time was simply outstanding. Just when you thought a massive white curtain was suddenly dropped from the ceiling, they would project images or skillfully weave in animations to gently explain the flow of the story, ensuring the audience was never bored.

This theater was specifically built for this play, maximizing the use of the stage in all directions—up, down, left, right, and even front and back. Sometimes, the performers would dash through the narrow aisles between the audience, making it difficult for anyone to leave their seats during the show.

The stage design included clever elements like pouring rain in the background, a waterfall flowing abundantly, and a fountain shooting up vigorously.

Above all, the fire dance using blazing torches was truly breathtaking. The speed and precision of the dance were impressive, and the fact that not a single performer made a mistake in what could have easily turned chaotic was remarkable. It’s not often you see a stage handling such a large amount of fire indoors. For those sitting in the front row, I imagine they could feel the heat of the flames on their faces.

Often, in tourist areas, you might see performances by students who are just doing it part-time, but this stage was entirely different. The performers likely underwent rigorous auditions and are practicing daily under tough conditions to achieve such a high level of performance.

Lastly, I must mention that the young male and female leads were both incredibly charming. My colleague's wife, who watched the show with us, praised the young male lead, saying, "He's handsome, muscular, and incredibly cool. Plus, he has a playful side, which makes him adorable!" On the other hand, I found the female lead to be beautiful with a lovely smile, and her slender figure was perfect, with all the right curves in all the right places.

Unfortunately, as soon as the show started, there was an announcement stating, "Please do not take photos or videos," so I have no footage to remember it by. I sincerely wish they had at least sold some postcards of the two leads near the exit as souvenirs. (I’m really disappointed!)

In any case, while Honolulu has its shining sun, blue ocean, and Diamond Head, it is undeniably a major city, so if you don’t engage with Hawaii's culture and traditions, the experience of being abroad can feel diminished. In that regard, this show at the Polynesian Cultural Center is sure to satisfy everyone who sees it.

At the end of the show, when the performers gathered on stage to bow, I believe that almost all the audience members applauded generously, even if it wasn't a standing ovation. For me, this became one of the most memorable tours of my trip to Hawaii, alongside the visit to Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island. I absolutely recommend it. Please make sure to see it!

　700～800名の観客が見守る中を総勢50名近いキャストが息つく暇もなく歌い踊りそして舞台の上を縦横無尽に駆け回ります。さながらミュージカルで役者がその募る思いを声高らかに歌い上げるかのように、この舞台では演者が肉体をまるで打楽器のように打ち鳴らしながら力強い集団パフォーマンスを見せてくれます。
　僅かな時間で見事なまでの場面転換を成し遂げる演出も素晴らしいのひと言に尽きます。突如天井から強大な白い垂れ幕を下ろしたかと思えば、そこにプロジェクターで映像を映し出したり、アニメーションを巧みに織り込んでストーリーの流れを優しく解説したりと観客をひとときたりとも飽きさせない仕掛けが次から次へと用意されています。
そもそもこのシアターはこのお芝居のために作られている専用の劇場ですから、舞台を上下左右そして前後方向へと最大限に活用しています。ときには観客席の間の狭い通路までも演者が全速力で走り抜けるので観客はショーの途中でちょっとやそっとでは席を立つこともできません。
舞台装置も背景にはどしゃぶりの雨を降らせ、滝は大量に流れ、噴水が勢い良く舞い上がるなどの工夫が施されています。
　そして何よりも圧巻だったはやはり燃え盛る松明を使ってのファイヤーダンスでした。その踊りのスピードやキレもさる事ながら、誰か1人が間違えたならきっとグダグダになりかねない演出を最後まで誰１人ミスする事なく見事にビタッと決めるあたりは本当にお見事でした。このように天井のある室内での舞台にも関わらず、これだけ大量の炎を扱うステージなどそうそうお目に掛かれるものではないと思います。最前列に座っていたお客さんであれば、きっと炎の温度をその顔あたりにうっすらと感じられる程の迫力だったのではないでしょうか。
　ややもするとこうした観光地での演劇ともなると昼間は学生をしている人がアルバイト感覚で身に着けた芝居や舞踏を観させられることもしばしばですが、この舞台はまるで違っていました。恐らく厳しいオーディションを経て役を射止めた演者の人たちが毎日かなり過酷な練習を積んでいるのでなければこのような完成度の高い舞台を作り上げられる筈がありません。
　最後にこの演劇で主役を演じていた若い男女がどちらも相当に魅力的だった事をお伝えしておきます。自分と一緒に観劇をしていた会社同僚の奥様も主役の青年の事を「イケメンでしかも筋肉質でもの凄くカッコいい。加えて茶目っ気もあるから可愛くって最高！」と大絶賛でした。一方、自分からするとその主人公の相手役の女性が美人でキュートな笑顔が素敵な上に、そのスタイルも抜群でスレンダーな体型でありながら出るところはしっかりと出ていて正にパーフェクトレディといった感じでした。あいにくショーの開始と同時に「写真やビデオの撮影はしないで下さい。」と館内アナウンスがあったので手元には何の映像も残ってはいないのですが、それだったらせめて会場の出口あたりで主役の男女2人のブロマイドぐらいはお土産用に販売していて欲しかったと切に思っています。（本当に悔しい！）
　とにかくホノルルにいくら輝く太陽と青い海とダイヤモンドヘッドとグルメな料理があるとはいえ、やはり基本的にはかなりの都会である事は疑いようのない事実なので、どこかでハワイの文化や伝統にもきちんと触れておかないとはるばる海外に来ている実感が薄らいでしまいます。その点、このポリネシア文化センターでのこのショーは観る人すべてを満足させるに違いありません。
　ショーの最後に演者が舞台上に勢揃いをして挨拶をしていたとき、スタンディングオベーションとまではいかないまでもその場にいたほぼ全ての観客が拍手を惜しまなかったのは間違いないと思います。自分にとっても今回のハワイ旅行の中でハワイ島でのキラウエア火山観光と並んで最も思い出深いツアーとなりました。これは絶対におススメです。ぜひご覧になってみて下さい。

It had been a while since I visited the cultural center, and even though the language barrier was present, the stories were easy to understand. The food was just okay. It was a bit far from Waikiki, and the journey felt a little long.

久しぶりの、文化センター言葉が通じなくとも物語がわかりやすかったです。
食事はまあまあでした。ワイキキから距離があり道中がちょっと長かったです。
