It was December, so the sea was quite cold, but I had an amazing time! The sandbar was stunning, and the hamburger was delicious! During snorkeling, I was lucky enough to see a sea turtle, which made for a very fulfilling experience! But next time, I think I want to go during a warmer season.

シュノーケリングでは、運良くウミガメを見ることも出来てとても充実した時間でした！

In early January, I was able to see whales spouting and their tails. However, I didn't see the whales in the way shown in the reference photo. Still, the cruising experience itself was enjoyable! Viewing Waikiki from the sea, the airplanes flying in the sky, and the gentle sunlight felt very pleasant.

Unfortunately, I got seasick on the return trip and had to rush to the restroom several times... It wasn't particularly rough, and I usually don't get motion sickness. There were many other passengers, including children, but it seemed I was the only one who got seasick.

I chose a plan without transportation and took a taxi from my hotel in Waikiki. I thought the driver might have taken a longer route, but it cost about $40 including the tip.

After getting out of the taxi, I was unsure where to go, but when I headed towards the docked boat, I found a desk and people there, which helped me realize that was the check-in area, so I showed my voucher.

Once on board, there was an immediate photo service from the boat staff, and later, a staff member came around to see if we wanted to buy the developed photos. We purchased them for about $35. It seems many people chose not to buy.

There is a Japanese information board at the waiting area tables inside the boat, so it's good to read that beforehand.

Since I boarded early, the staff asked if I wanted to order snacks. I don't think it's necessary to order, but I requested a bagel and coffee, and I paid in cash including a tip for the staff who brought it. Other early boarders, including some foreigners, also placed orders.

The restrooms were bright, spacious, and clean.

The crew and staff were all cheerful and friendly. All announcements and conversations from the staff were in English, but there were recorded announcements in Japanese explaining about the whales.

Most of the customers were from Western countries, and there were fewer Japanese. The crowd ranged from families with children to seniors.

It was a sunny day, but with the sea breeze and sunlight, I think it's best to wear clothing that allows for temperature regulation. I wore a long-sleeved cover-up and jeans, and I didn't feel hot.

Since this is a winter-only activity, I think it's a great idea for those who can participate during this season!

1月上旬でクジラは潮吹きと尾ビレが見えました。
参考例の写真のようなクジラの姿は見られなかったです。
でも、クルージング自体も楽しかったです！海から見るワイキキ 、空を飛ぶ飛行機、穏やかな日差しなど、とても気持ち良かったです。

ただ、私は復路で船酔いしてしまい、何度もトイレに駆け込みました…。特別揺れがひどいわけではなかったですし、乗り物酔いしない方ではあったのですが。
同船者は子供も含めて他にも沢山いましたが、船酔いしたのは私だけだったようです。

送迎はなしのプランで、ワイキキのホテルからタクシーで行きました。少し遠回りされたかもと思いましたが、チップ含めて40ドルくらいでした。

タクシーを降りた後、どこに行けば良いか迷いましたが、停泊していた船の方に行ってみると、デスクと人がいてそこが受付だなと分かってバウチャーを見せました。

乗船後は、すぐに船側から記念撮影のサービスがあり、後程現像された写真を買わないかとスタッフが回ってきます。うちは買いました。確か35ドルくらいでした。買わない方も多いようです。

船内の待合スペースのテーブルには日本語での案内ボードがありますので、それを読んでおくと良いです。

早くに乗っていたので、船内スタッフから軽食のオーダーを聞かれました。頼まなくても良いと思いますが、うちはベーグルとコーヒーをお願いし、運んでくれたスタッフへのチップも含めて現金で支払いました。早くに乗っていた方は他の外国人さんも含めて頼んでいました。

トイレも明るく広くて綺麗でした。

クルー、スタッフは皆さんにこやかでフレンドリーです。
スタッフのお話や放送はすべて英語ですが、録音放送で日本語によるクジラの説明などがあります。

お客様は欧米の方が多く、日本人は少なめでした。お子様連れからシニア層まで幅広い客層でした。

よく晴れていましたが、海風や日差しもあるので、体温調節できる服装がいいと思います。私は長袖の羽織にとジーンズで行きました。暑いとは思わなかったです。

冬限定のアクティビティなので、時期が合う方は参加されるといいと思います！

It might have been a timing issue, but the sandy beach was not accessible, and the water level was up to my waist, but I still had a great time. I was able to see sea turtles up close!

タイミングの問題か、砂浜は出ず、水位は腰下までありましたが、楽しめました。

I participated with my 76-year-old mother, and we enjoyed activities like snorkeling and stand-up paddleboarding in the shallow waters.

When we joined, the water level was about knee-deep, but I think we were able to fully experience the atmosphere of the sandbar.

If you go to Hawaii, you should definitely take a boat trip at least once. The view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea is stunning, and this time, I was lucky enough to see whales as well. There are morning, afternoon, and evening courses available; I went in the morning both times, but next time I want to try the sunset cruise. The sea was calm, and I didn't experience any seasickness.

ハワイに行ったら必ず１度は乗船すべきです。海からのワイキキ、ダイヤモンドヘッドの景色、今回はラッキーなことに、クジラも見ることができました。午前、午後、夕方のコースがありますが、２度とも午前時間帯でしたが、次はサンセットクルーズも体験してみたいです。海はおだやかで船酔いすることもありませんでした。

There isn't enough gratitude that I can express for the staff at the Rock-A Hula show! I came with a date, but my flight arrived in late, so my date was there, but I missed everything up to the dinner and show.

They were so accommodating ensuring my date received all the perks that were promised, and kept her company until I arrived. Then, when I got there, they even accepted my bags, and brought me food to ensure I ate enough before the show! Just great customer service.

Now the show... Just awesome. As a musician, everything was on point. The band, vocals, especially the Elvis act! Highly recommend and glad it was the first thing we did to get me back in good spirits after missing some of the action due to my flight.

The scenery at Sandbar was exceptionally beautiful. The barbecue featured authentic hamburgers made with charcoal-grilled patties, which were delicious. During snorkeling, I was fortunate to see a sea turtle up close, which is a rare encounter.

サンドバーの風景、綺麗さは格別でした。
バーベキューは炭火焼きで本格的なハンバーグを使用したハンバーガーだったので、美味しかったです。
シュノーケリングでは、出会うことが稀なウミガメを間近に見ることができて幸運です。

I have been to Hawaii several times, but I could only take long vacations in May and August, and it wasn't whale watching season, so I couldn't even join a tour. This time, I will be going to Hawaii in January for my honeymoon, and I first booked a whale watching tour!

I was worried because I read that there are days when you can't see them, but luckily, I was able to see a little bit!!! Since it was a mother and calf, I could see the big back and the small back alternately.

If we had seen the tail fin, I might have felt more like we actually saw a whale, but it can't be helped. I can't help but feel greedy, but it's quite rare to see wild whales, so it was a very good experience! I was also glad to see the rare view of Diamond Head and the Waikiki coastline from the sea!

The boat swayed enough to make you feel unsteady, so even if you don't usually get seasick, I think it's better to take motion sickness medication.

何度かハワイに来たことがあるのですが、5月、8月しか長期休暇が取れず、ホエールウォッチングシーズンではなかったのでツアーに参加することすら出来ませんでした。。
今回ハネムーンで1月にハワイに行くことになり、最初にホエールウォッチングツアーを予約しました！

見れない日もあると口コミにあり心配でしたが、、運良くちょっとだけ見ることが出来ました！！！
親子だったので、大きい背中と小さい背中が交互に見れました。

尾ビレが見えればクジラを見れた感をもっと感じられたのかもしれませんが、、しょうがないですね。
どうしても欲が出てしまいますが、そもそも野生の？クジラを見れることはなかなかないのでとても良い経験になりました！
海から見るダイヤモンドヘッドや、ワイキキの海岸もレアな景色も見ることが出来て良かったです！

船はヨタヨタ歩きになるぐらい揺れるので、乗り物酔いをしない方も酔い止めは飲んで行った方が良いと思います。

My wife and I took this tour while staying at Waikiki in January. It was an ideal day for whale spotting conditions. The naturalist was very knowledgeable, and the boat had plenty of room for all the passengers to see the surroundings. We watched one whale surface nearer to the shore, then went out deeper by Diamondhead. Just as we were approaching a possible sighting, we saw a humpback breach and jump out of the water. It was spectacular! Highly recommend this tour! Guaranteed sightings!

I participated in whale watching with the mindset that it would be nice to see a whale since it's nature. Unfortunately, we didn't encounter any whales, but it was very enjoyable as a cruising experience. The pickup was very clear, and the staff was super cute. The performances on the boat were all in English, so I didn't understand anything, but it was strangely uplifting. The weather was cloudy, so it was a bit chilly in short sleeves.

ホエールウオッチングだけど、自然相手ですから、クジラは見れたら良いなぁ、くらいの気持ちで参加しました。
結果、残念ながらクジラには遭遇しませんでしたが、クルージングとして、とても楽しかったです(^_^)v
ピックアップの時も、とってもわかりやすく、とってもキュートなお姉さんでした。
船内のパフォーマンスは全て英語のため、全然意味が解らないのに、テンションが上がってしまうのは不思議ですねwww
天候が曇りだったため、半袖ではちょっと肌寒かったです。

This time, my family and I participated in the dinner show "Rock-a-Hula" for the first time. After having dinner, we watched the show. First, regarding the dinner, there were a decent number of dishes, so I think you'll feel full. However, the meat was a bit tough and didn't taste very good. As for the show, the seats we had were excellent, so we had a great view. There was hula dancing, and impersonators of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, which made it quite lively and enjoyable. It seems that there are options to just attend the show, so I think it would be nice to have a meal in Waikiki and then enjoy the performance.

今回、初めてディナーショーの「ロック・ア・フラ」に家族で参加しました。
ディナーを頂いてから、ショーの観戦という流れでした。まず、ディナーですが品数もそこそこありお腹いっぱいにはなると思います。ただし、お肉は固めであまり美味しいと感じませんでした。ショーの方は、観戦した席が大変良かったので、よく見えました。フラダンスあり、エルビスプレスリー・マイケルジャクソンのそっくりさんのショーがあったり結構盛り上がり、楽しめました。ショーだけもあるようなので、ワイキキあたりで好きな食事をし、観賞するのもありだと思います。

Beautiful boat ride along Honolulu, Waikiki and the crater Volcano. The crew made sure everyone on the boat saw each whale sighting and what direction they were sited in. We saw them 5 times on our excursion.

I thought we would head out to the open sea, but we actually progressed to a distance where we could see land from Waikiki Beach to just past Diamond Head. I was half in doubt, wondering if we would really see whales this close. I thought the chances of seeing them were even lower than seeing the aurora, so I didn't have high expectations, but we did see them. Two whales? showed us their spouts multiple times, and the boat followed them closely. Although we didn't see their tails or large bodies, I was satisfied. I couldn't believe we could see them so close to shore; it felt like they were either trained or robotic. Since it was a large boat, there was little rocking, so I didn't have to worry about seasickness.

沖の方に出るのかと思ったらワイキキビーチからダイヤモンドヘッドの先あたりまで、陸が見える距離を進み、こんな近くに鯨が出るの？？と半信半疑でした。出現確率もオーロラより低いんじゃないの？とあまり期待していませんでしたが、見れました。2頭？が何度も潮吹きを見せてくれて、船も追いかけるように進んでくれました。尾びれや大きな姿は見れませんでしたが満足しました。こんなに近海で見れるなんて、飼いならしているかロボットか？と思うほどでした。大きな船なので、揺れも少なくて船酔いの心配なし。

It's a show that delights tourists. You can enjoy it with dinner included. The shows featuring Presley and Michael Jackson were a hit even with Americans, and the audience was singing along.

観光客に喜ばれるショーです。ディナー付きで楽しめます。プレスリーとマイケルジャクソンのショーはアメリカ人にとってもウケて、客席の方々歌ってました。

Food and service was good. Views were outstanding. Nice entertainment.

This was the best luau! I would highly recommend this experience! The family and I really enjoyed this celebration and would definitely come back next time we are on island!

The activities were great but the whole staff is awemazing!

Purchasing on line was a breeze. Check in was quick and easy. The all-female crew was professional, knowledgeable, and FUN. Cruising along the Waikiki shore was exhilarating and relaxing at the same time, and we had no problem seeing whales. We even got to see the illusive tail flip! Cannot recommend this enough. It was the highlight of our vacation. (We were first-time Waikiki visitors)

Our quide, Dexter was excellent. He was very thoughtful and professional. He made an otherwise rainy, gloomy day a fun day. The tour gave us a great overview.

I recommend this tour and asking for Travis! He was the best thing about the tour! He made our family feel welcome and took time to show us all the local stuff and really explain life there. Mahalo Travis, thanks again!

After the bus arrived, there was an explanation by a Japanese person before entry, which was very good. I was also satisfied with the pool itself. The all-you-can-drink option was great as well.

バス到着後、入場までの間に日本人による説明があり、非常によかったです。プール自体も満足しました。飲み放題もよかったです

It was disappointing that the first bus was not on time, but other than that, I was satisfied. I had a great time and enjoyed it thoroughly.

I participated in whale watching with Star of Honolulu. The large vessel provided excellent stability. The whales did not breach as much as shown in the promotional videos, and I regret having set my expectations too high. It's difficult to meet expectations when dealing with nature.

スターオブホノルルでのホエールウォッチングに参加しました。
大きい船体で安定感抜群でした。
クジラの姿は資料映像ほど跳ね上がることがなく、期待しすぎていたと反省です。自然相手ではなかなか期待通りにはいかないものです。

Perfectly organised day, from communication prior to the day to everyone involved in sny part of the tour.
The guide was great, hugely knowledgeable and interesting.
The helicopter trip was perhaps the most incredible thing I have ever done. The ground crew were superb and the pilot made it the best trip ever. After waiting 30 years to do this tour it didn't disappoint.
Could not recommend it highly enough.

I could clearly see the back of a whale. The weather was nice, and the largest boat in Hawaii was comfortable with little rocking. I recommend bringing a jacket as the air conditioning is quite strong.

天気もよく、ハワイで一番大きな船てゆれもすくなく快適でした。
冷房が大変きいているので上着を持って行くことをお勧めします。

I only saw the whales twice, and they were quite far away. I was hoping to see them up closer, so I was a bit disappointed. But since it's a natural occurrence, it can't be helped. However, the view of Waikiki from the sea was quite impressive, and I was satisfied.

くじらは、２回、遠くに見えた程度でした。もっと、近くで見えるかと思っていたので、すこし残念でした。自然のものなので、しょうがないですね。でも、海からのワイキキの景観は、なかなかのもので、満足しました。

There were staff members who could speak Japanese, which made me feel at ease to participate. It was the rainy season, so it rained on and off, but I had a great time. I didn't see any honu while snorkeling, but since we had some free time left, they took us by boat to a place where we could see honu, and I was able to see them! It was so much fun.

日本語が話せるスタッフさんがいらっしゃり、安心して参加をすることが出来ました。
雨季だったので雨が降ったり止んだりでしたがとても楽しめました。
シュノーケリングではホヌが見られなかったのですが、自由時間が余ったため、船でホヌが見られる場所に連れて行っていただき見ることが出来ました！

I was set on a tour that stopped at just the Sandbar, my mom insisted we do a tour that went to 2 locations... She was right! The sandbar is awesome and I encourage people to get out and walk around while you're there, play volleyball (if you want) or just enjoy being on land while under about 2 feet of water! Its wild! A Puffer Fish greeted us! She was much bigger than what I thought puffer fish were. We had burgers and drinks and were off to our second location ... the reef!! On our way we saw a bunch of sea turtles! They were HUGE! Some swam right up close to the boat! It was incredible. It was after a mild storm so the water wasn't 100% clear but still fairly clear. There were tons of colorful fish swimming all around us. I took a few mins to swim around the whole reef! Which every time I popped my head up and saw I was further away from the boat was a little scary and exciting! It was such a fantastic adventure day! My mom loved it, my kids were a little afraid at first at the reef but came to love it too! The crew... let me not forget about the crew! They are absolutely amazing! Knowledgeable, friendly,... when my daughter started to cry (9 years old) they knew her name and kept encouraging her! It was the sweetest! My son thought the main guide/lifeguard was the coolest and just wanted to swim where ever he swam (7 years old). The captain on our boat that day was a lady and also super friendly! Highly recommend to all ages and all skill levels! (I had my cell phone with a water protected case - i highly recommend. I purchased mine before the trip from REI, they sold similar ones in the ABC stores in Hawaii.)

The morning whale watching cruise was excellent! The weather was perfect and the crew were friendly and informative. Before taking off we learned a few facts about whales and were able to purchase a snack from the snack bar. The cruise itself was magnificent and we saw several whales. It was such a a delight! I'd also like to mention that the restrooms on board the boat were extremely clean (When on a tour this isn't something you always encounter). My friend and I had a splendid time. We would not hesitate to take this cruise again. The one thing everyone should be aware of though is the parking fee. The boat does not valid and parking in the adjacent lot was a bit pricey.
