We saw no sea life at all. Not much seating and the whale guarantee was no good as it didn't cover transportation and times are very limited. Not worth the money, was told by others to take a smaller vessel next time.

I participated in January 2015.
The regulations state that you cannot approach whales within a certain distance, but I was pleasantly surprised when a whale surfaced nearby, causing the boat to back up.
On the way back, I encountered a sea turtle, which allowed me to conclude the enjoyable experience on a high note.

条例では、クジラに一定の距離以内に近づいていけいないことになっているが、
偶然近くに浮上してきたため、船がバックするハプニングがあり、逆にうれしかった。
帰りの航路では、ウミガメと遭遇し、楽しい体験を締めくくることができました。

The ocean and sandbar were very beautiful, but the wind was strong, and once I got back on the boat, I didn't feel like going back into the water. I was able to see sea turtles, and I recommend this tour. If I can come to Hawaii again next time, I would like to come on a warm day without wind.

海もサンドバーもとても綺麗でしたが、風が強く一度船に上がるとまた海に入る気にはなれませんでした。ウミガメも見ることができて、オススメのツアーです。次回またハワイに来られることができたら、風のない暖かい日にまた来たいと思います。

In the morning, the shuttle bus arrived at the hotel a little late, and we reached the town of Kailua in about an hour. When we arrived, a staff member who spoke Japanese kindly explained everything to us. There were a few small lockers and restrooms nearby. At the beach, we saw many people surfing, cycling, and running. That day, the wind was strong, so we decided not to go into the water. Since we could borrow bicycles for free, we took some and headed into town. We visited a poke shop that the staff recommended as delicious, and we also had sandwiches and pizza. The pizza is quite large, so I think you'll get very full. We were able to buy souvenirs in a shopping area. Unlike in Japan, the bicycles require you to brake with the pedals instead of the handlebars, so we practiced a bit in the parking lot at first. When we went out onto the road, there were bike lanes, but since I wasn't used to it, I think it's better to ride slowly. Cars don't necessarily yield like they do in Japan. Although it was a bit daunting, I think I enjoyed it overall, especially since I wouldn't have gone to Kailua without this tour.

朝少し時間に遅れて送迎バスがホテルに到着し一時間ほどでカイルアの街に到着しました。ついたら日本語の話せるスタッフが丁寧に説明してくれました。周りには少し小さなロッカーがあったりお手洗いなどがありました。海に足を運ぶとサーフィンをしているひとやサイクリング、ランニングをしている人が多く見受けられました。その日は風が強く海を入るのを断念し、無料で自転車を借りられるということなので借りて街に出ました。スタッフがおいしいと勧めていたポキのお店に行ったり、サンドウィッチ、ピザを食べました。ピザはかなり大きいのでかなりお腹いっぱいになると思います。商店街みたいなところでお土産も買えました。自転は日本みたいにブレーキがハンドルではなくペダルを後ろにこがなくてはならないので最初は駐車場で少し練習をしました。車道に出るときには自転車専用の道があるのですが慣れていないのでゆっくり走ったほうがいいと思います。日本みたいに車がよけてくれるわけではないので。放り出されるのですが、このツアーがなければカイルアに行くことはなかったとおもうのでそれなりに楽しめたと思います。

The history and the whole thing about pearl harbor was excellent , we were sadden that half of our tour was cancelled and there was no compensation for it .

It was the rainy season in Hawaii, but on this day, the north wind was particularly strong, and it was really cold. It would have been nice to have wetsuits available; being on an open boat while wet in that cold was quite tough.

I may have written something critical, but the sandbar was amazing, a breathtaking view that felt otherworldly. The staff were friendly, and I had a great time. I definitely want to visit again on a warm day! (*‘∀‘)

雨季のハワイでしたが、この日は特に北風が強くとにかく寒かったです。
ウエットスーツの貸し出し等あればよかったものの、あの寒さの中でふきっさらしのボートに濡れた状態で乗っているのはかなり辛いものがありました。

批判めいたことを書いてしまいましたがサンドバーは最高でした、この世のものとは思えぬ絶景です。スタッフの皆様も気さくで、楽しく過ごさせてもらいました。
是非また暖かい日に利用したいです(*‘∀‘)

I was able to see sea turtles! The sandbar was deep up to my thighs, but it was beautiful and moving. The bus ride there and back was too cold, so I recommend bringing a thick jacket.

ウミガメ見れました！サンドバーは太ももまで深さがあったのですが、綺麗で感動しました。行き帰りのバスが寒すぎたので、厚手の上着を持っていくことをオススメします。

This is my third time participating, and I had a great time! The guide was very lively, and it felt relaxed right away. I want to participate again!

今回で参加するのは3度目ですが、とても楽しめました！ガイドさんのノリもよく、すぐになごました。

Since it was a living creature, it depended on luck, but from a distance, I was able to see the spouting and the tail multiple times. I saw the body jump once and the tail slap once, which drew cheers from those on board.

I had heard that there were no explanations in Japanese, but this time there was a Japanese staff member on the boat who provided a simple explanation in Japanese following the English commentary. I was quite torn between this plan and another boat's plan, but I think choosing the Navatek was definitely the right decision. This boat seems to maneuver well, and it turns the bow towards the direction where the whales are spotted, allowing everyone on the deck at the front to see the same moment almost simultaneously.

Also, the sunlit surface of the sea was quite dazzling, so I thought it was essential to position ourselves with the sun behind us to see the whales.

Another boat was nearby, and it actually seemed closer to the whales, but given the direction of the sun, I think it would have been quite blinding. I believe it would have been challenging to keep focusing in that direction. Additionally, in a situation where we had to rush to the deck side to see the whales, it seemed difficult for all family members to witness the same sight. So, even though it was a bit pricey, I really felt it was worth it to choose the Navatek. However, I thought the pickup fee was a bit high. Since it wasn't far from Waikiki, I think it would have been fine to take a taxi if we had participated with multiple people.

生き物相手なので運しだいということでしたが、遠目ですが潮吹きや尻尾は何度も見れたし
体のジャンプが1回、尻尾を打ち付けるのが1回見られて船内から歓声があがっていました。

口コミで日本語での説明がないということでしたが、今回は日本人のスタッフが同船していて
英語の解説に続き日本語でも簡単な説明をしてくれていました。
もう一つの船のプランとかなり迷ったのですが、ナバテック号にして大正解だと思いました。
こちらの船は小回りが利くらしく、くじらが見えた方向に船首を向けてくれるので
デッキのある前方で目をこらしている客は全員ほぼ同じ瞬間を見られます。
また日のあたる海面はかなりまぶしいので、太陽を後ろにした位置どりをしてくれるのも
クジラを見る必須条件だと思いました。

もう一つの船も近くにいて、実際にはそちらの船の方がクジラから近かったように見えましたが
太陽の向きだったのでかなりまぶしかったんじゃないかと思います。
そちらの方向に目をこらし続けるのは大変だったと思います。
またクジラが見えるデッキ側へ急いで移動しなくてはならない状況では
同行した家族全員が同じ光景を見るのは難しかったように思いましたので
少し高かったけれどナバテック号にして本当によかったと思います。
ただ送迎料金が少し高いかなと思います。
ワイキキから距離は全然なかったので、複数人での参加だったら
タクシーで行っても問題なかったかなと思います。

The show was really great. I've never seen this show before, I would suggest everyone see it at least once.

We had a wonder time on the Star of Honolulu. The food was delicious. The entertainment was very good. The view on top of the ship for the Friday fireworks was awesome.

I visit every time I come to Hawaii, and I love it because I can enjoy the thrilling attractions each time. It's fun for the whole family, so I definitely encourage everyone to participate in this attraction.

The lockers are available for a fee; you insert money into the machine in front of the lockers and enter your PIN twice to automatically receive a locker number. You can access your locker as many times as you want by entering the PIN. I really encourage everyone to join in!

ハワイに来る度に訪れますが、毎回絶叫アトラクションを楽しめるので大好きです。　家族みんなで楽しめるので是非とも皆さんも、このアトラクションには参加をしてください。
ロッカーは、有料制になり、ロッカー前の機械にお金を入れて暗証番号を2度入力すると自動でロッカー番号が割り振れらます。　暗証番号を入れると何度でも出し入れ出来ます。　ぜひぜひ皆さん参加してください！

When we went, the wind was strong and it was really cold (laughs), but we got to see sea turtles and the sandbar was beautiful, so we had a great time! I bought a waterproof camera for snorkeling, but the visibility was lower than I expected, so I couldn't take nice photos (´･ω･`). Even with just a morning plan, we enjoyed it a lot!

私達が行ったときは、風が強くめちゃくちゃ寒かったですが（笑）ウミガメも見れたし、サンドバーも綺麗だったし楽しかったです！
シュノーケルは、防水カメラを買って挑んだものの予想より透明度が低く、綺麗な写真は撮れませんでした(´･ω･`) 午前のみのプランでも全然楽しめました！

The weather wasn't great, but overall it was just okay. If you want to go snorkeling, it's much better to go to Hanauma Bay on your own; you'll see a lot more fish and can swim at your own pace. The BBQ was just an over-the-top hamburger meal. The staff was friendly, though.

天気に恵まれなかったのもありますが、全体的に微妙。
シュノーケリングをしたいのならハナウマ・ベイに自分で行ったほうが全然魚も見れるし、自分のペースで泳げます。
BBQっていうのもoverなハンバーガー食です。
スタッフは好感持てました。

I went snorkeling to see sea turtles, but there were too many people, so I couldn't move forward very well, and before I knew it, it was time to return to the boat. What a shame.

うみがめを見るためにスノーケルだったのですが、人が多すぎたため、なかなか前に進むことができず、気づいたころにはボートに戻る時間でした。
残念。

It was great. We had endless crab and the show was perfect. It was my girlfriends first time to Hawaii so I had to make it special and this was it.

It was my first time in Hawaii. I think Waikiki Beach generally gives a strong impression of Hawaii's ocean, but Kailua Beach was amazing! Our hotel didn't have a shuttle, so we went to a nearby hotel and got a ride from there. It was only a two-minute walk to that hotel. Since the hotels are clustered together, it's not a problem if your hotel doesn't have a shuttle! We were able to depart almost on time. It took about 40 minutes to get to Kailua Beach. It was about a five-minute walk from the shop to Kailua Beach. The changing rooms and lockers were secure, and the restrooms were clean. There were staff members who spoke Japanese, and everyone was friendly. You can rent snorkeling gear and bodyboards. By around 9:40, we were already at Kailua Beach and enjoyed our time there. Since it was early in the morning, there weren't many people, and there were a lot of locals, so we could interact with them. For lunch, we had pizza. It was right next to the shop, and we were very satisfied with the drink and large pizza. After lunch, we rented a bicycle for $10 at the shop and went shopping at Whole Foods and Kailua's downtown, and we also visited Lanikai Beach. The staff at the shop gave us a map and explained how to get around in detail. You can reach anywhere in about 15 minutes by bike!! With about five hours of free time, you can do quite a lot! Even if you don't know anything, there are many Japanese people, and the staff at the shop will teach you various things. I felt very secure! It was a lot of fun, and I was able to relax and shop, so I was very satisfied.

初めてのハワイでした。やはりワイキキビーチは一般的にハワイの海っていう印象が強いと思いますがカイルアビーチ最高でした！私達が泊まったホテルには送迎がなかったので近くのホテルまで行き車に乗せて頂きました。そのホテルまでも徒歩2分圏内。ホテル密集してるので自分が泊まるホテルに送迎がなくても余裕ですよ！ほぼ時間通りに出発できました。40分くらいかけてカイルアビーチに行きました。ショップからカイルアビーチまでは徒歩5分くらい。更衣室もロッカーも安心だしトイレも普通に綺麗。スタッフの方も日本語できる人いるしみんな気さくな方でした。シュノーケルとかボディボードは借りれます。9:40くらいにはもうカイルアビーチに行きゆっくりすごしました。朝早かったのであまり人はいなくて地元の方も多くその方たちと交流もできました。ランチはピザにしました。ショップのすぐ隣だし、ドリンクと大きいピザ付きで大満足。ランチの後、ショップで自転車を1台10ドルで借りてフォールフーズとかカイルアのダウンタウン行って買い物したり、ルニカイビーチにも行きました。地図もショップの方がくれて、行き方も丁寧に教えてくれます。自転車で15分くらいでどこでもいけますよ！！5時間くらい自由時間なので結構いろんなことができます！全然なにも知らなくても日本人多いしショップの方も色々教えてくれるし。とても安心できました！とても楽しくてゆっくりもできてお買い物もでき大満足です。

I was able to see about 10 whales! It was amazing!
Since they weren't that close, I wish I had brought binoculars.
The ocean and sky were beautiful, and I could see Diamond Head clearly.
I opted for the lunch option, but I wanted to see the whales and stayed on the deck the whole time, plus I had a bit of seasickness, so I couldn't eat at all. Personally, I think it was fine not to have lunch included.
I had a great time!

10頭くらい見れました！感動！
そんなに近くはないので、双眼鏡を持っていけばよかったです。
海も空もきれいでダイヤモンドヘッドもきれいに見えました☆
ランチ付きにしましたがクジラを見たくてずっとデッキにいたのと、軽い船酔いで全く食べられなかったので個人的にはランチ付けなくてよかったです(^^;;

The atmosphere on the boat is great. We saw whales and dolphins while drinking a beer und enjoying the wind and weather.
The crew, Dave and Ryan, is very friendly!

I participated thinking there would be activities enjoyable for small children. We were able to see whales and turtles! The crew and all the other participants were from English-speaking countries, but we had no trouble enjoying ourselves.

小さい子供連れでも楽しめるアクティビティをと思って参加しました。
クジラもカメも見られました！
クルーも他の参加者もすべて英語圏の方々でしたが、支障なく楽しめました。

During my last trip to Hawaii, I saw this pool from the highway and wanted to visit, so I participated this time. When I arrived, it seemed a bit run-down. The locker fee is $13, which is on the higher side. I think meals were around $12.13, so that's pretty average. There is a small children's pool, so families might enjoy it.

前回ハワイに行った際に、高速道路からこちらのプールが見えて行きたいと思っており、今回参加しました。
到着してみるとなんだか寂れているような、、
ロッカー使用量は13＄と高めです。
食事は12.13＄程度だったと思うので普通ですかね。
小さい子供用プールがあるので家族連れは楽しいかもしれません。

I participated in the early morning plan with a friend. The guide was a local Japanese woman who was lively and fun. However, the water was cold, and I was surprised as soon as I got in. The sandbar was about knee-deep at its shallowest point. The sea had a beautiful gradient of blue! When I got out of the water, I was shivering from the cold (laughs), although my friend and the others around didn't seem to be as affected. On the boat, the foreign male staff and the female guide took photos and were very considerate, which made me happy. The light snack was something like a ham and cheese sandwich. It was cold, so I wished I could have something warm, but it couldn't be helped. Next time, I want to go during a warmer season at low tide!

友人と2人で早朝プランに参加しました。
ガイドさんは現地の日本人の女性でノリが良く楽しかったです。
ただ水は冷たかったです。入った瞬間びっくりでした。サンドバーは一番浅いところで膝下くらいだったと思います。海はキレイな青のグラデーションでした！
海から上がったら私は寒すぎて震えていました（笑）友人や周りの方はそこまでではなさそうでしたが…。
船の中では外人の男性スタッフや女性ガイドさんが写真を撮ってくれたり色々気遣ってくれて嬉しかったです。
軽食はハムチーズサンドのようなものでした。寒かったので温かいものが食べたかったですが仕方がないですね。
今度は暖かい時期で干潮の時に行きたいです！

I chose this tour because of the great reviews! This was my first time in Hawaii, and I participated to create memories the day after my wedding! The reservation process was smooth, as I made the booking from my smartphone in Japan and received quick replies and guidance! On the day of the tour, I was picked up at 8:55 at a hotel next to my accommodation, and the bus arrived at 9:05, calling out names! The bus was already quite full, with guests from places other than Japan. The bus drives pretty fast, so if you’re prone to motion sickness, it’s a good idea to have some medication!

We arrived at a shop just before Kailua Beach in about 30 minutes from Waikiki. There, a cheerful Japanese guide explained the tour and how to use the shops in detail, dividing us into groups. They were very efficient, which was great! After that, we rented bicycles for an additional $10 each and cycled to the town of Kailua! Walking can take quite a while, and you might not have enough time to go to the beach, so I recommend biking!

Once we arrived in Kailua, we first ordered takeout at Boots & Kimo's, gave our names, and received a receipt. Then we went shopping at the nearby Whole Foods Market! We filled up on salad bar items and returned to Boots & Kimo's just in time to pick up our order. After that, we biked back to the beach, where we used the lunch tickets we received earlier to order plate lunches and pizza from the shop, and rented bodyboards and beach mats to head to Kailua Beach!

We walked to Kailua Beach from the shop. There was shade, so we spread out our mats for lunch! After enjoying some swimming, when we started to get bored, we returned to the shop, borrowed snorkels, and biked to Lanikai Beach! When we dove in, we were amazed to see fish near the rocks!

On the way back, I fell into a deep sleep on the bus. We arrived at the hotel by 3 PM, and then I went shopping in Waikiki, making for a fulfilling day! The rental and explanations were all in Japanese, so it was a very reassuring tour! I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to go to Kailua!

口コミがよかったので、こちらのツアーを選びました！今回のハワイは初めてで、挙式をした次の日に思い出づくりとして、参加させていただきました！予約は、日本からスマホでの申し込みで、すぐに返信が来たり、案内が来たりとスムーズな対応でした！当日は、8:55に宿泊ホテル隣のホテルにてピックアップで、バスは9:05に到着して名前を呼んでくれました！バスには既沢山の人が乗っており、日本以外のお客さんもいました。バスは結構、飛ばすので酔いやすい方は酔い止めがあるといいです！ワイキキから、30分くらいでカイルアビーチ手前のショップに到着。そこから、日本人の明るい方がひたすらツアーや、ショップの使い方などツアーごとに別れて、丁寧に説明してくれました。テキパキとされていて良かったです！その後、私たちは自転車をこちらでプラス10ドルずつ払いレンタルして、カイルアの街までサイクリング！徒歩だと、意外と距離がありビーチ行く時間が無くなるので自転車がオススメです！カイルアの街に到着して、まずブーツ＆キモズにてテイクアウトを注文して、名前を伝えレシートを貰い、その後近くにあるホールフーズマーケットでお買い物！サラダバーなど詰め込んで、またブーツ＆キモズに戻ると丁度出来上がっており、受け取って終了。また自転車でビーチに戻って、最初に配られたランチチケットでショップにある、プレートランチとピザを注文して、ボディボードとビーチマットを借りいざカイルアビーチへ！
カイルアビーチへは、ショップから徒歩で移動。木陰があり、そこへマットを広げてランチタイム！その後は、海水浴を楽しんで飽きてきた頃にまた、ショップへ戻り、スノーケルを借りて自転車でラニカイビーチへ！すぐそこを潜ると岩に魚がいて、感動しました！
帰りはバスの中で爆睡。
15時にはホテルに到着したので、それからまたワイキキでショッピングしたりと、充実した1日になりました！
レンタルも、説明も全て日本語なのでとても安心できるツアーです！カイルアへ行きたい方はオススメです！

I went there for the sandbar. It was very beautiful and about knee-deep. I had plenty of time and was able to enjoy it slowly. I was able to see turtles in the distance. Snorkeling was fun, but it was cold. It was helpful to have warm drinks available.

サンドバー目当てで行きました。
とてもキレイでした。膝くらいの高さでした。
時間も十分にあり、ゆっくり楽しめました。
カメも遠くの方でみることができました。
シュノーケルも楽しかったですが、寒かったです。
暖かい飲み物もあり助かりました。

This tour was conducted in English, so there were mostly Westerners.
I could see the spouting in the distance, and although I couldn't capture it in photos, I did catch a glimpse of the head and tail quite close for a moment.
I lowered my rating a bit because I couldn't take photos, but that's not the fault of the tour.
The staff were also very considerate when my daughter felt unwell.

このいツアーは英語のツアーでしたので西洋人がほとんどでした。
遠くに潮吹きが見えたり、写真には残せませんでしたが、
結構近くに一瞬頭やしっぽが見えたりしました。
写真が残せなかったので少し評価をさげましたが、これはツアーの精ではないです。
スタッフも、娘が気分が悪くなった時などは、色々と気を使ってくれました。

The sandbar was deeper than I expected, but the color of the ocean was beautiful, allowing me to fully enjoy the essence of Hawaii. The guide took some photos, and they turned out great, making for wonderful memories. There weren't many fish while snorkeling, but I had a lot of fun being in the water. I don't think individuals would be able to reach the deeper parts of the ocean by boat, so I recommend making good use of the tour.

サンドバーは思っていたより水の深さがありましたが、海の色はとても綺麗で、ハワイらしさを満喫することができました。
ガイドの方が写真を撮ってくださりそれが最高の写り具合で、とても良い思い出になりました。
シュノーケリングはあまり魚がいなかったですが、海に入れたことが楽しかったです。
個人だと船で海の中までくることはないと思うので、ツアーをうまく活用することをおすすめします。

I was hoping to see whales up close, but it felt like I was viewing them from a distance. I was able to see the spouts and tails several times, but I couldn't see the body or size of the whales; they were too far away to see clearly, which was different from what I expected. However, the view from the boat and the comfort inside the ship made it enjoyable, so I had a good time overall. (*^-^*)

近くでくじらを見れるのかなぁと思ってましたが遠くに見る感じでした。何回も潮吹きやしっぽは見れましたがくじらの胴体や大きさは見れず、、遠すぎてあまりよく見えず、思っていたのとは違いました。でも船の上からの景色や船の中も快適でクル－ズしたと思えば楽しかったです(*^-^*)

I made a reservation based on a recommendation from a local friend. Depending on where you are, the waves can splash, making it feel like an attraction, and I had a great time. The captain is American, and since there are few Japanese participants, you can really experience the international atmosphere.

現地の友人のお勧めで予約しました。いる場所によっては波がかかったりとアトラクションのようでとても楽しめました。船長がアメリカ人で参加者に日本人が少ないので海外感が味わえます。

I participated in this tour because I wanted to experience the great outdoors! It exceeded the description in the tour details, and I was truly satisfied with the many breathtaking views I enjoyed. The pickup and the explanations at the airport were all provided in Japanese, which made me feel at ease. The guide was a Japanese woman (or possibly of Japanese descent) who has lived in the area for a long time. She was very interesting and kind, sharing many stories unique to the locals. The driver sang with a ukulele during our break, creating wonderful memories!

大自然を体感したい！との思いから参加しました。ツアー内容に記載されている以上の内容で、たくさんの絶景を楽しむことができ本当に大満足でした。送迎、空港での説明ともに日本語でしっかりとした案内があり、安心でした。ガイドさんは現地に長く在住されている日本人(日系人？)のおばちゃんでした。とても面白く親切で、現地の方ならではのお話をたくさんして頂きました。運転手さんは休憩時間にウクレレで歌ってくれ、素敵な思い出になりました！

We sent my Grandparents on this cruise. It was an amazing boat. The staff treated them really well. They said it was so much fun. The food was wonderful. They said that they wished our whole family would come do it. The fireworks were so cool. Everyone there was having a great time. They want to do it again with our family. Thank you! :)
