I participated in a trip to Hawaii on the fourth day after making a reservation from Japan. We were picked up by a large bus and headed to the ship! The seats were very close together, making it a bit awkward to talk since we could hear each other clearly. After being guided in, they came to take drink orders, but there was no explanation about the mini buffet, which left me confused about whether I could go get food or not! It would have been nice to have a word about that. Afterward, we enjoyed our meal while watching songs and shows! At the end, we all danced together, which created a sense of unity and was a lot of fun.

After a relaxing time at the beach, my daughter and I joined in, dressed up just a little. (laughs) The dinner was delicious. There was absolutely no stiffness at all. However, I thought it might be a bit disappointing for repeat visitors that there hasn't been any change in the menu for a long time. Also, while it's understandable if the place is full, I would appreciate it if the spacing between tables could be adjusted a bit when there is room available. As for the show, all the performers were wonderful. Presley had a friendly vibe. And above all, the beautiful smiles of the hula dancers, like flowers, always make me feel how amazing it is to come to Hawaii. Michael, who was one of the highlights, sounded just like him from the very first note, and I enjoyed listening nostalgically. The fire dance that appeared in the second half was also full of excitement, making it a very enjoyable time.

I participated with my family of three (my wife, our fifth-grade son, and myself) during the flying stone holiday in October. In the past, I had gone on a company trip to Guam and watched a luau at a certain domestic place, and I wanted to show my family that experience, especially since it included a meal.

◇ Good Points
- About half of the participants were Japanese, which allowed us to somewhat feel like we were abroad in Hawaii.

◇ Disappointing Points
- The show’s production was too tailored to American tastes, making it hard to feel the essence of Hawaii.
- The food was also very American.
* I was expecting luau dishes (like roasted pig), but...
- I opted for the economy course to save money, but the difference in service compared to the higher-tier course was too stark (though this might be due to the price difference).
* In the higher-tier course, seats are closer to the front, and the seating and buffet meal guidance are prioritized. Additionally, leis are given to everyone, making the visual difference between us common folks and others painfully clear and causing unnecessary feelings of inferiority.

◇ Overall Impression
I found the production very disappointing, and the fire dance show I saw at the certain domestic place might have been more impressive. I thought I was paying a decent amount for Hawaii, but I only got one welcome Mai Tai, and I regretted that I would have been better off having a steak outside. By the way, there is a bar where you can buy drinks with cash if you want, so parents who enjoy alcohol can rest assured.

・値段をケチってエコノミーコースを申し込んだのですが、上のコースとのサービスの差が激しすぎる（これは値段の差なのでしょうがないかも）
　※上級コースだと席が前の方というのもあるけど、席への案内も食事（ブュッフェ式）の案内も先。さらにレイが全員にプレゼントされ、我々庶民との差がビジュアル的に一目瞭然で余計な劣等感を感じてしまう。

◇総評
自分としては演出がとても残念だったし、ファイヤーダンスなどは寧ろ「○ワイ○ンズ（某国内）」でみたショーの方が迫力があったかも。
ハワイでもそこそこの値段を払ったつもりなのに、酒もウェルカムマイタイの一杯だけで、普通に外でステーキでも食べた方が良かったと後悔しています。
まぁ、嫁と小五の息子は喜んでいたからまぁ良いか・・・

◇補足
ちなみに、お酒はバーがあって飲みたければ現金払いでも買えるのでお酒好きのお父さんお母さんはご安心ください。

I had made a reservation for four people in the most expensive area, but when we arrived, there were no available seats for four. We ended up having to ask other guests who were already seated to move, creating a cramped seating arrangement. The location of our seats was only about a meter away from the regular seating area, and it was hardly different from the regular seats. In fact, the regular seats were more spacious and comfortable, which made for a very disappointing situation.

You are greeted with hula from the moment you board.

The food is incredibly delicious, and the lobster is surprisingly huge! There are various shows throughout, so you won't get bored. However, due to the high population density, you can't enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace...

The view of Honolulu from the sea, both during the day and at night, is fantastic (since it's a sunset cruise, you can enjoy both).

There are various dinner courses available, but since I had a lively 5-year-old with me, I opted for a casual buffet. There were plenty of dishes that kids love, as well as desserts, making it quite satisfying. They also provided a welcome drink, serving juice for the children, of course. What impressed me the most was the live show. I thought it would end in just a few minutes, but the second half was filled with performances, and there were parts where the audience could participate, raising their hands and dancing to YMCA. It was a really fun time.

いろんなディナーコースがありますが、5歳児のわんぱく小僧が一緒だったので、カジュアルな雰囲気のビュッフェを申し込みました。
子供が好きな料理もたくさんあり、スイーツもありで、充実していました。

そして感動したのがライブショー。

We chose a VIP seat with meals for our honeymoon! When we arrived at the venue, we enjoyed welcome drinks and snacks, which was a lot of fun! The meal included a large lobster, meat dishes, fish dishes, bread, and dessert, leaving us completely satisfied! I didn't know how to eat the lobster, but the staff kindly taught me!

The weather felt nice and the waves were calm, but as we went further out, the waves became rough and I got seasick. The tour guide noticed my seasickness and gave me and my husband some pills that help with it. Additionally, the performers boosted our spirits, so in the end, we had a great time with dinner and even dancing. It was the best!

We had an incredible guide for the whole day. The extra cost was worth being able to see most of PCC in a day with lots of information about each area! We had no stress as the guide got us around the park in a very well planned fashion. Even with the PCC app we would not have done all that we did if we were on our own without a guide.

I splurged on VIP seats for Michael, which I was really looking forward to! First, we enjoyed the meal, and then the opening! I was focused on the front, so I was surprised! We had a fantastic time with Presley, a local singer, and of course, Michael, along with hula and fire dancing.

The portion sizes were just right, and the staff was efficient. I think the show is well-adjusted for various age groups, so it would be great for families to experience together. After the show, they are friendly and willing to take photos with you.

I attended in late October 2019. The venue was beautiful, and there were relatively few guests, allowing us to enjoy the show comfortably. The content was a fusion of rock, pop, and hula, including impersonations of Michael Jackson, which were entertaining. However, overall, I felt the material was a bit outdated and lacked excitement.

I think the show would be more interesting if it mixed new and old elements more effectively.

It’s an experiential luau that families with small children and couples can all enjoy, and my family had a fantastic time! Before the show started, there were activities like fire-starting and making headbands using banana leaves, which kept the audience engaged. They celebrated guests who were there for special occasions on stage, danced with the audience, and above all, the chief's stories were very entertaining, making us laugh from the bottom of our stomachs multiple times! The food and Mai Tai cocktails were also very delicious.

The final fire knife dance was impressive! My 2-year-old son watched intently without blinking!

Definitely experience Chief's Luau! The chief and the crew will surely entertain you!!!

The weather was bad, so we couldn't see the sunset, which was understandable. However, there was a company event happening right next to us, and we could hear everything, almost as if we were participants. If we had known there would be a private event, we would have made changes. In the end, we were disappointed by a song that kept repeating the company name. It ruined the cruise, especially since we chose a day with expensive fireworks. I've used Veltra many times, but this experience was disappointing.

お天気も悪く、サンセットが見られずそれは仕方ないのですがパーテーションで仕切り貸し切りの会社の方がいらして側だったのでパーティー宴会？が全部聞こえてるとゆうか参加者てくらいでした。
貸し切りがあるなら事前に教えていただければ変更しました、最後は会社名連呼の歌でがっかり。クルーズ台無し、高い花火の日を選んだに何度もベルトラさん利用してますが残念です。

The bus arrived at the meeting place about 10 minutes late. I chose a window seat, but when it got dark, many guests came to the window to take pictures, so I thought it might have been fine to sit elsewhere. Other than that, I had a great time without any particular issues. The food, especially the lobster, was delicious.

The group sitting near us was very lively, and when they called for an encore from the singer, they sang a song by Southern All Stars, which really got everyone excited. It seemed like most of the guests were Japanese.

Additionally, male and female dancers performed powerful dances up close, which was impressive and wonderful. I think it's an experience everyone should have at least once when visiting Hawaii.

集合場所にバスが到着するのが 10分ほど遅れました。窓際席にしたが、日が暮れて来た時に窓ぎわにお客さんが沢山写真を撮りに来たので窓ぎわ席でなくても別によかったかなと思いました。その他は特に問題なく楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。
料理は特にロブスターが美味しかったです。
私達の近くの席の団体さんがとても盛り上がっており、歌手の方にアンコールをしたところ、サザンの歌を歌ってくれてさらに大盛り上がりでした。日本人のお客さんがほとんどだった印象です。
また、男性、女性のダンサーが力強いダンスを近くで踊ってくれて、迫力満点で素晴らしかったです。ハワイに来たなら一度は体験した方がいいと思います。

We spent our 34th anniversary with delicious food, wonderful music and great company. we had our own private table but had wonderful people sitting next to ours. The live music was relaxing and entertaining throughout the dinner. Our waitress was very courteous and helpful. We hope to spend another anniversary in the future on the Star of Honolulu!! This time, my spouse and I participated in the Star of Honolulu dinner cruise. Upon boarding, we were welcomed with hula dancing and singing. We were then guided to our assigned seats, and the food was served right away. We chose the three-star course, which included bread, salad, lobster, steak, and finally dessert, providing a satisfying amount. Since we participated on a Friday, we were able to enjoy the fireworks from the Hilton Hotel on the ship's observation deck. It was very moving to see the night view and fireworks at the same time. In the end, we all danced to songs like YMCA, creating a very enjoyable memory. This has become one of the options we definitely want to include when we go to Hawaii.

今回、夫婦でスターオブホノルルのディナークルーズに参加しました。乗船する際には、フラダンスや歌ででお出迎えしてくれます。そのまま決まった席に案内され、すぐに料理が運ばれて来ました。私達は3スターコースでしたが、パン、サラダ、ロブスター、ステーキ、最後にデザートと十分満足できる量でした。私達が参加したのは金曜日だったので、ヒルトンホテルから上がる花火を船の展望デッキで鑑賞することができました。夜景と花火を同時に見ることができ、とても感動しました。最後には、みんなでYMCAなど踊ってとても楽しい思い出になりました。ハワイに行く際には必ず入れたいオプションの1つになりました。
