Food service was somewhat quick, but understandable and good. Drinks did take some time and got confusing but the wait staff remembered and was very organized. Bartender could have used more help or another bartender to handle the people capacity. Overall great service and wonderful show!

The food was very good. You get about 30 mins between the food and show to go to the top and see the sunset. Good spot for pictures. Then you come back down for dessert and a show, the show was okay. After that they have dancing you dont have to participate if you do not want to. You can pay for additional drinks.

From the greeters to the servers to the Chief himself, everyone treated us like we were a part of the family. It felt like a big family reunion.
The food was delicious, and even if you're vegetarian or vegan like me, there are plenty of options! I had a mountain of food on my plate and didn't leave hungry.
The entertainment was my favorite part. Talented hula and warrior dancers performed traditional dances from various regions of Polynesia. So it was both entertaining and educational. I highly recommend this luau!

As soon as we set off, we spotted a pod of dolphins, which made me think we were off to a good start. However, after that, we didn't see anything and it ended there. Given the high expectations, it was disappointing not to see any whales, and the experience ended up being boring. Additionally, since we didn't see any whales, we were given tickets that could be used during the season starting the next day, but I felt there were high hurdles, such as the fact that the tickets were only valid until January of the following year and that reservations could only be made by phone (likely in English), with no option for online booking. I think it would be better if there were options like receiving a gift (such as a whale plush toy) or a re-ticket if nothing is seen.

We gathered quite early, and after boarding, we had to wait for over 30 minutes, which was tough with kids. However, we were happy to see a large group of dolphins right after we set sail, although we didn't spot any whales. I really appreciated how hard the captain worked to take us around and how the crew was considerate towards the children; it felt very thoughtful. After disembarking, the return journey was smooth, but I thought it would have been nice to have a little time for shopping.

It was a plan that included transportation and a cruise. As long as you are at the meeting place on time, you can relax and enjoy the convenience of being taken care of, which is priceless.

There was breakfast included, but since the weather was nice right after departure, everyone went out to the deck to enjoy themselves, so I was glad I didn’t add that option.

As for the whales, I was able to see a few spouting water and their dorsal fins. If I could wish for more, I would have liked to see more whales playing around.

The tour itself was very good, but since I didn’t get to see the whales as I had hoped, I rated it as good. I would like to participate again.

Very nice time on the ship. Plenty of room to move around to see whales. Saw 8 whales on our trip. Lots of blows and flukes. I recommend this trip to anyone looking for a whale sighting. The boat was professionally staffed and the buffet was good.

At first, the children were happy to be on the boat, but perhaps due to bad luck, even though the weather was nice, we couldn't see anything. They provided trivia about whales over the intercom, but everyone around seemed a bit deflated since we didn't see anything. I'll just chalk it up to bad luck.

Amy offered a very personal tour-- only 5 of us in her van. She is well acquainted with cast and crew members and very knowledgeable about both Hawaii Five O shows. Loved how she pulled up video footage from specific episodes as we were traveling in the same locations. Even if you're not a fan of the show, this tour is a great way to see favorite Oahu spots--the courthouse, Tantulus, Punchbowl/Veterans Cemetary. And the warm malasadas topped off an amazing morning!

At first, I was disappointed because I couldn't see any whales on the day I had reserved, but I was able to get another boarding ticket. And on the second try! I saw them! I was really lucky since I had a free day! After we spotted the whales, the captain quickly moved to a spot where we could see them well, which made it very easy to view! I was so moved! Thank you! Since it was a large cruise ship, I didn't experience any seasickness. By the way, the shuttle bus fee of $15 is self-funded. We used THEBUS.

This time, we participated in a family trip with my 84-year-old mother-in-law, my 78-year-old aunt, my wife, and my daughter. The weather was perfect, and the view of Diamond Head from the sea was amazing. Additionally, the lei-making and hula dance lessons were a great memory, as both my mother-in-law and aunt are experienced and were very happy. We were also moved to encounter the main attraction, the whales. The boat was large, and the crew was wonderful, making for a great experience. Thank you to all the crew members.

Shortly after setting sail, we were able to see two shadows, and the journey continued alongside a mother and her calf. It was a tour where we shared the excitement with the crew while watching their backs, dorsal fins, and occasionally seeing them spout water.

The crew and captain's announcements were in English, but perhaps because there were many Japanese participants, they used simple words. We were also able to view specimens of vertebrae and some simple research materials, and they provided explanations while we looked at them.

Although the weather in the Waikiki area was unfortunate, we were not caught in the rain while at sea and were able to enjoy a relaxing time while watching a beautiful rainbow.

I participated based on the information that whales are still migrating in March. But in the end, it was just a brief glimpse of something far away, and I couldn't tell if it was really a whale or not. We weren't given any re-boarding tickets either. Hmm, is this how it usually is...? I've heard rumors that they haven't been seen at all for the past two weeks. I wish they had canceled it then... With excitement in our hearts, we boarded the luxurious cruise ship "Star of Honolulu." We chose the "no meal option," but since the gathering was early in the morning, many people were enjoying a buffet breakfast on board.

As we cruised off the coast of Waikiki, we spotted about three whales, but we could mostly see just their backs. Just when we were about to give up, we finally witnessed a blow (spouting) scene, which brought us a sense of relief.

On February 9th, our family of seven participated. We chose the option with transportation, and the pickup was smooth. Upon arrival, we boarded the boat and immediately had breakfast, which included scrambled eggs, sausages, bread, watermelon, pineapple, and drinks of coffee and orange juice—please refer to the photos. After breakfast, we enjoyed about an hour and a half of cruising. The weather was great that day, and we had a wonderful view of the streets of Hawaii and Diamond Head. As for the whales, we saw them very well. At first, there was one, and later on, two came to visit us, and we could see their tails clearly. I believe everyone who participated that day had the best smiles. I read in other reviews that some people experienced seasickness, but since it’s nature, I think it can’t be helped. We were lucky to have a calm sea cruise under clear skies, so we didn’t get seasick. This event was suggested by my wife, and I truly think it was a great decision to go. 2月9日に家族7名で参加しました。送迎付きを選択しましたが、スムーズにピックアップしてもらいました。到着し船に乗りすぐに朝食でしたが、スクランブルエッグ、ウィンナー、パン、スイカやパイナップル、飲み物はコーヒーとオレンジジュースで、写真を参考にして下さい。朝食後、約一時間半のクルージングでしたが、当日は天気も良く、ハワイの街並み、ダイアモンドヘッドも良く見え素晴らしいものでした。あと、肝心のクジラですが、本当に良く見えました。最初は一頭、最後の方には二頭がやって来てくれ、いずれも尻尾が良く見え、当日、参加した人全員が最高の笑顔だったと思います。他の人の口コミで船酔いをしたとの書き込みがありましたが、自然相手のことですので仕方ないのではないかと思います。私達は晴天の中で静かな海のクルージングでしたので、船酔いをしなかったのは、本当に幸運でした。今回のイベントは妻の提案で行くことになりましたが、行って本当に良かったと思います。スタッフの皆さん、旅の思い出として、とても良い経験をさせていただき本当にありがとうございました。
