Many places offer optional tours, but I booked with Veltra because they were cheaper due to a campaign. I've been on the Star of Honolulu multiple times, but it was my son's first experience, so I made the reservation.

There was a hurricane approaching the Big Island, so the boat swayed a bit. We ordered non-alcoholic drinks, but due to the rocking of the boat, I felt a bit nauseous halfway through.

It was quite pricey, but dining on a course meal in downtown Honolulu would cost about the same, so I recommend it. However, after arriving, we were shown to our seats, and even though there were empty seats, we could only see the dancers' backs from our seats behind the show.

When you book with Veltra, a night view tour is included for free, but it was disappointing that the local tour was not conducted. I wish they had planned an alternative tour.

　なかなかのお値段でしたがホノルルの街中でコース料理を食べても同じ位の高値なのでおすすめです。ただ着いてから席に案内されるのですが席が空いているのに、ショーの後ろ隣の席でダンサーの後ろ姿しか見れませんでした。
　ベルトラさんで申し込みすると夜景のツアーが無料で付いてくるのですが現地ツアーの催行が無く残念でした。代替ツアーを計画してくれれば良かったのに。

We used the sunset cruise the day after our arrival in Hawaii. To sum it up in one word, I highly recommend it!

As it was our honeymoon, we considered dining at a restaurant in Waikiki with the whole family, but due to the weak yen and tips, the prices were quite high, which made us hesitate.

At that time, I remembered the Star of Honolulu, which we had boarded for whale watching before, and decided to try the sunset dinner cruise this time. This was a great decision!

Before departure, we were welcomed with hula, and we received non-alcoholic sparkling drinks for toasting, along with two drinks, a whole lobster, and an American steak. While it wasn't a quiet seat like a high-end restaurant, the Hawaiian live music and jazz performances were enjoyable, and the experience was worth the price, leaving us satisfied.

The cruise went by in a flash, and in the end, the crew really got everyone excited, making it truly fun. We are talking about wanting to go on the dinner cruise during the fireworks on Friday next time.

We made a last-minute reservation in Japan for dinner on the day we arrived in Hawaii. In a word, it was amazing!! We chose the buffet, which included desserts and had plenty of food!! We were lucky to have a window seat! During sunset, we were free to get up from our seats, so we took a lot of photos and enjoyed watching Hawaiian dances while eating. The sunset was beautiful, and we could see Diamond Head, making it a wonderful memory!! We also made friends with the overseas guests at the next table, which made for a fun time!! I highly recommend this tour if you come to Hawaii!!

The staff was amazing enough to not just capture photos but also a video which is so memorable! The food was delicious.... a 5 course meal served to us. Way to much for me to eat but totally fresh and delicious food! The staff was amazingly nice and helpful. The Polynesian show was super cool! Overall absolutely worth every cent!!!! A must do!

I secured a window seat. On the day of the trip, it was raining on and off from the morning, which made me a bit worried as we boarded. I enjoyed singing and dining, but as it got closer to sunset, we moved to the deck. The view of Diamond Head on the east side was beautiful with good weather, but on the west side where the sunset was, there were dark clouds. We managed to see the sun peeking out, so we did get to see the sunset, but it wasn't the scene I had hoped for. It's a natural phenomenon, so it's all about luck at that moment.

I was surprised that the seats were more cramped than I expected, but the live performance made the time fly by. It's better to go with an empty stomach since the main course was served before departure! I mentioned my nut allergy twice, once when making the reservation and again on the day, but the macadamia nut gelato was served as is, so those with allergies should be careful. I boarded on Friday, and we were lucky with the weather, so we were able to see the fireworks. Although Japanese is not spoken, dancing to the YMCA with everyone was fun. There were also people who got married on that day, which was a heartwarming end to the trip. It became a wonderful travel memory!

The food and scenery were good, but on the third floor, it was mostly Asians eating lobster while an unknown jazz-like song kept playing. Up to that point, it was okay, but the final Polynesian dance show was long, and everyone ended up dancing to YMCA, making me feel like we had traveled back in time over 30 years. I think only Japanese people over 50 who experienced the bubble era could keep up with that vibe.

I was disappointed at the end of what was supposed to be an elegant cruise. I wouldn't particularly recommend it for honeymooning couples.

Starting with a welcome drink, I ordered a non-alcoholic strawberry frozen drink, and the lobster and filet steak were delicious. The Hawaiian dance welcomed us with Hawaiian music and dance before we boarded the ship, and they entertained us with a show right up until we disembarked. The service was excellent, and the waiter was kind enough to peel the lobster for us. The captain also spoke Japanese and was very friendly, making our conversation enjoyable. I had always wanted to go on a sunset cruise when visiting Hawaii, so I was glad to participate.

However, while enjoying the meal and the show, I didn't notice the sunset and missed out on enjoying it. Additionally, it was disappointing that the cruise price was relatively high due to the strong yen.

Our tour guide, Chelsie, sent us great information ahead of time so that we knew exactly what to bring, what to expect during the trip, and where to meet. The open air bus was a fun part of the trip. She shared great information as we drove through Honolulu and to Pearl Harbor. When we arrived, she made sure we knew where to go and our timeline for the trip. I participated in the sunset cruise. Unfortunately, the sunset didn't appear on the horizon, so I couldn't see it due to the timing. Since it was a Friday night cruise, I also enjoyed the Hilton fireworks (for about 5 minutes). During the cruise, we were entertained with singing and dancing. The buffet meal was also quite satisfying for us.

The staff guidance is smooth, and the food is delicious. The live show was very satisfying, conveying a sense that everyone wanted to enjoy it.

Points to note:
Regarding the boarding and disembarking location, it is near Aloha Tower, but there are almost no places to kill time in the vicinity. Additionally, it is not very popular until just before boarding time, and if you move a little away, there are hardly any restrooms (there are some at Aloha Tower, but if you go early, it feels deserted and a bit scary). In any case, it is not bustling like Kapiolani Park or Ala Moana Center; it is quite deserted. Also, there is an area nearby called Kalihi, which is known for its poor safety (it is said to be dangerous to go there by bus or on foot), so caution is needed to avoid accidentally stepping in.

(You can even see people acting erratically near Walmart around Aloha Tower.)

Disembarking around 9:00 PM when the surroundings are completely dark made searching for a bus feel dangerous. I ended up using a taxi, but I think it would be safer to arrange for a pickup in advance.

アロハタワー付近なのですが、周囲には時間を潰せるようなところはほぼありません。また、乗船時刻間際までには人気があまりなく、少し離れるとトイレが全くといっていいほどありません(アロハタワーにはありますが早く行くと人気が少なくて怖い)。とにかく、カピオラニ公園やアラモアナセンター辺りのような賑わいはなく閑散としています。またそう遠くない位置にカリヒ地区という治安の悪い(バスや徒歩では行くと危険と言われている)エリアがありうっかり足を踏み入れないよう注意が必要です。

(アロハタワー周辺のウォルマート近辺でも発狂している人を目にするレベル。)

下船が夜の21：00ごろになり周囲も真っ暗な状態でバスを探すのは身の危険を感じました。私は結局タクシーを利用しましたが、あらかじめ送迎ありにするのが安全だと思います。

I went on a dinner cruise on Friday. Since I didn't specify a window seat, we ended up at a round table in the middle, seating three pairs of two. One pair was a Japanese newlywed couple, and the table next to us had three newlywed couples from Korea. I thought the lobster was smaller than I expected. The steak wasn't freshly cooked, which is understandable since we were on a boat, but it was tough. The dancing wasn't as lively as I had seen in the testimonials. However, they did do the YMCA, and it seemed like the newlyweds didn't quite know the song. The fireworks lasted a few minutes, but it was nice to see them launched over the Waikiki hotels from the boat.
