My overall impression of the experience was good. What I liked most about the activity was seeing the fish while snorkeling. I also saw a few turtles bobbing in and out of the water. There was a boat passing with some dolphins visible which was a nice surprise. My advice for future participants include taking precautions for any motion sickness because the water can make the boat rock a bit depending on the waves. Otherwise its a nice experience overall. It was great at the end of the trip when our shoes were lined up before exiting the ship.

The day I participated, it was packed with about 40 people, and there was barely enough room to sit. There were four crew members. I attended with elementary school children, but the explanation for using the snorkeling gear was very brief, and after that, everyone pretty much did their own thing. During sailing, the crew said it was optional to wear life jackets, and since they came around to collect them, none of the participants ended up wearing them.
I was able to see a sea turtle, and I spotted dolphins jumping in the distance, which was great, but I felt it might be more of an adult-oriented tour.

It was an amazing experience to see so many turtles at once. I have been to Oahu about 20 times but never seen so many turtles! Some of them came to the surface and I was able to see them very close, I could even see their nostrils. After snorkeling, we went sailing to the Diamond Head and the boat jumped up and down the wave and my children were so excited! I would surely want to come again in the near future.
We took our family of 4 (including twin 7 year olds) to this experience. We all got in the water and couldn't believe how many turtles we got to experience up close! The excursion was well managed and very fun! The ride after the snorkel encountered some big waves, which my kids freaked out about a tiny bit, but overall we had an excellent time. It was, hands down, our family's favorite experience in our 10 days in Hawaii.
We had a blast with the tour on the Waikiki water with two kids. The location we visited had little crowds so we can have all the ocean to ourselves! Both of my kids were the first time snorkeling. Their friendly staff made sure their live vests are secured and helped them into the water. There were a lot of beautiful fishes o look at. Did not see turtles, but that's OK since we would be visiting the Turtle beach at the north shore later. Overall, we are very satisfied with the activities and services they provide.
We had the great opportunity of taking this dream tour about a mile north of the Waikiki beach where the water is much more clear than the crowded Waikiki shore. We did snorkeling, kayak, paddleboard, water slide, and whole nine yards! The water is a little rough that day, but we still had so much fun! The staff were friendly and very helpful and encourage us to try different activities. Kevin, one of the staff was very helpful to get us all buckled up in lifevests, gear up for water activities. Loved going snorkeling with Trident Adventures! We ended up doing a last minute upgrade from the snorkel package to the PADI Skindiver Program and it was so worth it. The main thing the upgrade got for us was the use of one of their DPVs, which is an Diver Propulsion Vehicle. Its basically an underwater scooter that you hold on to and cruise around. It was a little awkward at first, but with some tips and pointers from the instructor I was able to get the hang of it and had so much fun cruising around the reef! Apparently these things are very expensive, so it's very unique for a dive shop to have them available to non-SCUBA divers.
Easy morning trip from the centre of Waikiki, staff were excellent and made the family feel relaxed and informed.
Yes the boat is a little tired but hey we had fun as a family , felt safe and would do the trip again.

They take you just off the beach in Waikiki where the turtles roam. We saw at least 10 turtles on our trip. The cold beverages after the trip were also refreshing. The crew were awesome and helpful for those first timers.
I usually don't get motion sickness, but the boat was rocking quite a bit, and I got seasick. I was pleasantly surprised to see turtles while snorkeling. In fact, there were five of them swimming around, which was truly moving.

We thought that as this tour was so cheap it would be substandard. Wrong!!
This tour was exactly what we paid for. To snorkel with the green sea turtles and that's what we did. We were able to take our own food and drinks onboarding (the paperwork said there would be ice and cooler bags, but that wasnt the case) which didnt bother us too much. Brewster and Max made sure we saw and swam with the turtles and had plenty of opportunities for photos. After pur snorkeling, they took us for a sail in the catamaran for 2p minutes before taking us back to sure. It was a fabulous day.

Snorkelers like ourselves had adequate support. They were also pretty comical as well! Seeing the sea turtles was awesome! One crew member even dove down to to the reef to retrieve my dropped cell phone! I had so many priceless photos and memories from my Dad’s funeral on the phone, that I would not have been able to replace them. Thank you for the incredible experience.
It was amazing! We saw quite a few turtles and I got some awesome pictures of them. The crew was great and very accommodating. The ride with the sails up was totally a great experience. This excursions was the highlight of our vacation! I would recommend it to everyone!
Capt. Neal was great as well as his crew. The equipment provided was great and the crew encouraged everyone to participate. Kevin even got me to jump off the top of the boat! My husband and I tried several different activities. The trip length was perfect and everyone had a good time. The crew was multi-lingual speaking Korean, Japanese and English. The tour company made sure to keep us very informed of details and transportation. I would use this company for other adventures next time.
A short trip to the offshore destination means you get to spend most of the tour time in the water with the amazing fish and turtles! We even saw dolphins! Riding on the front of the catamaran was also a highlight.
Fantastic crew - very friendly and terrific with kids! Our daughter was a bit hesitant about going in the water so one of the crew let her ride on the lifeguard surfboard and she still got to enjoy the whole experience.

Real friendly, helpful crew. Enjoyed every minute of the tour. My only complaint was the lack snacks and refreshments. The only thing that was available was rice crispy treats and water. Had we known that this was all that was available, we would have brought our own.
Our group was running a few minutes behind and they were nice enough to wait an extra ten minutes for us. The combination of snorkeling, some drinks, and a cruise around the bay was a great time for a group of 6 friends.
My husband and I had a great time snorkeling and saw lots of turtles up close. While sailing we even got to see dolphins playing around the boat. The staff was very professional, helpful and fun...highly recommend this activity!
We really enjoyed the crew, they were all so helpful and funny, we saw at least 50 spinner dolphins and many turtles, it was the best boat trip I've taken in Hawaii and I have been on a few. I would suggest you bring your own drinks and snacks especially if you are bringing kids. It was a lot of fun and I would go again for sure.
