Rock A Hula was a great show for me and my friends! There was a lot of music and fire dancing, and enjoyable songs to sing along with from Michael Jackson and other old classics. We all got a free drink from our purchase which made the show even more fun. The food and service was excellent was well. We came all the way from San Francisco and we were glad to have heard about this show. We also got to see backstage which was very interesting. Veltra helped me with deciding on my purchase so I highly recommend using this site too for the future!

The pickup time was slightly off, but other than that, I was very satisfied. There were no other Japanese tourists on our bus, and the staff couldn't speak Japanese, but everyone was kind and communicated well. I really felt like I was in a foreign country, and the Hawaiian show and the activities leading up to it were interesting, leaving my whole family smiling on the way back.

Inside, the welcome drink, water, and coffee were free, but everything else was charged. There was a photo opportunity with a hula dancer upon entry, and we received a QR code for free. Later, three printed photos came out, but they cost $20.

Paradise Cove Luau on the Beach at Ko Olina Resort

It was just ok. The bus was late picking us up and we were late getting there. Traffic from Waikiki to the luau was awful. (I do realize that they can’t control the traffic but sitting in over an hour of traffic doesn’t put you in the best of moods. This luau is actually a good ways away from Waikiki.)

Upon arrival we were given our giftcards and had our pictures taken. Nothing was explained to us. We had to wander around and find things on our own. It is not very big. Looking at the pictures and descriptions it seems as if the grounds are big and there is lots to do. That’s not the case at all. Very small area and not much to do before the show at all. Also, not everyone can participate in the activities. They pre select only a handful of people.

As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, we went with the top of the line package. I do not recommend it at all! The food that was brought to us was all pre selected. The people that went through the buffet were served very quickly (before us) and were able to get exactly what they wanted and as much of it as they wanted. We had a plate full of whatever and most of it I didn’t even want!

The show was ok, but honestly we experienced better at the bars in Waikiki.

We were very sorry we spent all that money on this luau.

You will be picked up at the Marriott and transported to the dock by a large bus. We walked fairly quickly through the Aloha Tower and boarded the ship. After receiving a welcome drink, we enjoyed a buffet dinner while listening to live guitar music. The buffet food was decent. The ship is reasonably large, but it can sway quite a bit depending on the weather. My wife seemed to have a hard time with seasickness. I recommend that those who are prone to motion sickness take some medication.

You have free time until the fireworks, and it's nice to enjoy Hawaiian dance or the sunset. The main fireworks show ends in no time, but it was incredibly exciting. The kids were very happy! We were able to have a pleasant time chatting lightly with other passengers. Since it was the rainy season, there was a bit of rain, but it wasn't bothersome, so perhaps we were lucky with the weather.

メインの花火はあっという間に終わりますが、最高に盛り上がりました。
子供達は多いに喜んでくれました！
周りの乗客とも軽く会話したりと和気藹々とステキな時間が過ごせます。
この時期は雨季でしたので、少し雨が降りましたが、気になるレベルでは無かったので天候に恵まれたのでしょうかね。

It was truly a tour that I’m glad I went on!

First, we entered before the general public. It felt a bit exclusive! While I was a little nervous with the English guidance, we made our way to the green room. After taking photos, we enjoyed appetizers, fruits, and nuts while sipping drinks, spending a luxurious time! The backstage tour was entirely in English, but just being able to see the rarely seen behind-the-scenes was so much fun and exciting! It was really interesting!

After that, we had a leisurely dinner. The food and cocktails were both delicious! And then came the much-anticipated showtime! We were seated right in the front, so close that it felt like we could reach out and touch the performers, and I was so excited!!!

After the show, we took lots of photos and got autographs, and it was truly enjoyable.

We went on our honeymoon, and I didn’t expect to experience such a special feeling, so it was a wonderful tour that will remain in our memories!

I have been to Hawaii several times and have experienced dinner cruises (with another company) before. I didn't have high expectations, but choosing the steak and lobster course was the right decision. The food exceeded my expectations, and the show was engaging and kept the guests entertained. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset due to the weather, but since it was Friday, we got to see fireworks, which was fun. I definitely recommend this tour for those visiting Hawaii for the first time!

I participated in the VIP course alone.

First, it's better to arrive earlier than the meeting time. There are some light snacks served at the cocktail reception. I arrived right on time and was immediately guided to the show venue.

The food is delicious. The meat is tender and easy to eat, even for the elderly. However... the portions are small, haha. So it's a good idea to eat the snacks at the cocktail reception beforehand, haha.

As for the show, fans of Elvis might enjoy it.

My husband and I attended the Star of Honolulu Sunset Dinner cruise on 12/06/17. When we had First checked in we were greeted by a nice lady and apologized and told my husband he was not wearing the proper attire for the night. He was wearing khakis and flip flops. The nice thing is they were accommodating going so far as letting borrow shoes and pants for the night. I was so happy cuz we had limited time and wouldn’t be able to reschedule. And it was my fault at not looking for a dress code when I booked it. Once we got on the boat we were greeted by the captain! He was super nice and well dressed (everybody was). The dancers, entertainment and food was AMAZING! Not to mention the excellent customer service they made sure they took care of all our needs. We will definitely do this again whenever we come back! Must do!!!

I went to see the show at my husband's request. We had front-row seats. It was a rare experience to see the expressions of Elvis, Katy, and the dancers up close, creating wonderful memories. There was also a backstage tour before the show, where we could touch the costumes and props used on stage, providing an experience that we wouldn't normally have. We had plenty of time for meals, and I enjoyed the course-style dishes that were served, which was also satisfying. Additionally, the hospitality from the staff was pleasant and exceptional.

My mother (in her 60s) and I (in my 30s) participated in the Rock-a-Hula show (backstage tour).
About the food… The appetizers we had in the green room were delicious. I only ate a little bit to save room for dinner, but I wish I had eaten more. The dinner itself was average in taste, but the presentation was vibrant and really captured the Hawaiian vibe.
About the backstage tour… Neither of us speaks English at all (we're not good at it, dislike it, and try to avoid it as much as possible), but they spoke slowly using simple words, so we were able to understand. Even if you don't understand English, I think you can enjoy looking at the performers' costumes, microphones, and stage lighting.
About the seating… We had seats in the center, the closest to the stage. It wasn't too close to the point where we couldn't see; we could see everything well.
About the show… I only recognized two songs, but my mother seemed to know almost all of Elvis's songs and was very happy. It was a shame that Michael wasn't there that day (both my mother and I are fans of Michael).
I also saw hula dancing for the first time, and it was fun, while the fire dance was incredibly powerful, to the point where I was worried about fire coming towards us! I enjoyed the fire dance the most during the show.
About the service… I arrived more than 20 minutes before the check-in time, but while sitting on a bench before check-in, a female staff member who spoke Japanese (I think she was an Asian dancer) approached us and explained that we could check in early and that we should move to the area near the outdoor stage once the show started. She was very polite and kind.
Overall… Both my mother and I had a great time. We were excited from the night we arrived, and it feels like we will continue to have fun from the next day! Participating was definitely the right choice!

バックステージツアーについて…。２人とも全く英語ができない(苦手だし嫌いだしなるべく避けて通りたい)ですが簡単な単語でゆっくり話してくれるので私達でも聞き取れました。また、英語が分からなくても出演者の衣装やマイク、ステージ照明など見て楽しめると思います。
席について…。ステージから１番近い中央の席でした。近すぎて見づらいと言うこともなくちゃんと全体を見渡せます。
ショーについて…。モノマネは、私は知っている曲が２曲しかありませんでしたが、母はプレスリーの曲はほぼ全て知っていたようで喜んでいました。この日はマイケルがいなかったのが残念でした(私も母もマイケルのファンです)。
フラダンスも初めて見ましたが楽しかったですし、ファイヤーダンスはものすごい迫力で、こちらに火が飛んでこないかと不安になるくらいでした！私はショーの中でファイヤーダンスが１番楽しめました。
サービスなどについて…。受付開始時刻の20分以上前に着いてしまったのですが、受付前のベンチに座っていると、日本語を話す女性スタッフ(アジア系のダンサーの方だと思います)が声をかけてきてくれて、受付はもうできること、外のステージのショーが始まったらそのステージ付近に移動すればよいこと等、説明してくれました。とても丁寧で親切でした。
全体を通して…。母も私も楽しめました。到着日の夜からテンションがあがって、翌日からも楽しめそうな予感！！参加して大正解でした！！

I often visit live venues in Japan, but I decided to attend this show for the memories of Hawaii. Upon entering through the VIP entrance, I was greeted by a performer resembling Katy Perry, and I was overwhelmed by her doll-like appearance as we all took a commemorative photo together. I was guided to the front row right below the stage, where a wonderful meal was served one after another. When crab was brought out, the staff promptly removed the shells for us, allowing us to enjoy a very pleasant and delicious dinner.

As the show began, there were performances of Elvis, Michael, Katy, and Hawaiian performers, seamlessly blending with oldies that even Japanese people are familiar with, all accompanied by wonderful music. The quality of the singing was very high, and the performers often came down into the audience, making it a truly enjoyable experience.

I have experienced a real Michael stage performance before, but I believe this is not just an impersonation show; it is a splendid example of American entertainment.

I heard from a friend who has seen various shows in Hawaii that the Hilton's luau was absolutely fantastic, so I decided to go.

The day before, there was heavy rain, and I was worried it might be canceled (it mentioned indoor seating), but on the day itself, it was beautifully clear. However, since it was going to be evening, a jacket was necessary. With guaranteed front-row seats, we also had priority for the buffet, and an extra drink was included, so we really enjoyed the meal.

There were couples from all over the world celebrating their honeymoons and silver anniversaries, and it was fun to chat with everyone at the same table. Our seats were the fourth row from the front, and the dancers were visible from all directions, so I had no particular complaints. However, I was a bit put off by the amusement park-style photo sales.

Whether you go early or not doesn't make much of a difference, but I'm glad I opted for the guaranteed seating.

This was my fifth trip to Hawaii, and I finally went on the sunset cruise I had been longing for! Upon boarding, we were guided to the deck, where we first took a commemorative photo with the captain and enjoyed a welcome drink. The rich welcome really lifted my spirits, but I was disappointed that I couldn't take a photo with the captain using my own phone.

Once on board, we enjoyed a full-course meal and drinks. Inside the ship, we could savor our meal while listening to live piano and jazz performances, creating a luxurious atmosphere. Couples, including those on their honeymoon, enjoyed lovely moments together with the music in the background! The meals were served at each table's pace, allowing us to step out onto the deck at our leisure to enjoy the sunset and night views while cruising. Seeing the night view of Waikiki from the sea was a first-time experience for me, and the scenery was exceptional. I highly recommend it!

I went here last year and when I came back with family and friends this year, I knew we would only do a luau here! From the time you walk onto the property, you are treated like family. Learning about the culture is so intriguing for all ages. The service, food and entertainment were excellent. The place is beautifully kept and all the employees seem to be happy to be a part of this experience. If I come to this island again, I will always have this stop included in my plan!

My stay in Waikiki was the most memorable. The food was delicious, and the staff were great, making it a lot of fun. Since it was Friday, I was able to see fireworks as well. I definitely want to use this place again next time.

This time, I participated in an upgraded plan for my 60th retirement anniversary trip, which was different from my usual experiences. Since it was my birthday, a cake was prepared at our table, and my wife and I were both deeply moved. The delightful staff's thoughtfulness, along with their American jokes and the showtime, was fantastic and left a lasting impression. It truly was a wonderful anniversary. After returning to Japan this Saturday, I have decided to work hard towards my second life starting next week.

Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to my wife, who has been by my side all this time. Unfortunately, we won't be able to come next year, but I hope to participate in the same plan together as a couple the year after.

今回は、私の６０歳定年記念の旅行と言う事で、何時もと違いアップグレードの企画を申込して参加しました。誕生日と言う事も有り、ケーキが席に用意されていて一緒に女房と最初の感激。愉快なスタッフの気遣いとアメリカンジョークでのおもてなしとショータイムが最高で感激しました。本当に良い記念日でした。今週の土曜日に日本に帰った後、来週から第二の人生に向かって頑張ろうと決意しました。

The food was a buffet, so I could eat whatever I liked (´∀｀=). The performances that involved both the staff and guests, along with their attentiveness, were excellent!!! It was also amazing to see so many hula dances♪ Aside from not being able to see the sunset due to the weather, everything was really great!!!

料理はビュッフェなので好きなものが食べられました(´∀｀=)スタッフ含めお客を巻き込む演出や気づかいが最高でした!!!たくさんのフラが見れるのも最高でした♪

Very Humbling Day

We were picked up on time by a very professional and knowledgeable driver who explained everything we needed to know before entering Pearl Harbor. We had time to visit the museum buildings which included many relics from the era and the gift shop before entering the building where a short film is seen. We then boarded a boat piloted by military personnel who brought us to the memorial. Once we entered the memorial we we asked to keep conversations to a whisper to respect the souls below. It was a very humbling moment for us all. We were then taken back to shore and boarded our bus to head to the Missouri. We were told NOT to take any pictures while driving they the military base until we got to the Missouri, There are lots of places to have a quick meal before and after boarding the Ship. Once you're on the ship you can go out on your own or take a free guided tour which I would suggest. because all of the important areas like where the surrender took place. After the tour you will still have time to walk about the ship and to go beneath to view crew quarters and other areas of interest. After leaving the ship we boarded our bus, picked up our bags and purses at the locker area (not allowed at Pearl Harbor) and headed to the Punch Bowl for a short drive thru to pay our respects then to our hotels. This was a very informative tour done by a great drive who also acted as the tour guide. He didn't miss a thing and made us feel that we were back un the day with his presentation. His company would be very proud of him!!

Two years ago, I had a great experience, so I booked the same 3-star package again this time. I invited my daughter and her husband to join! This plan included a full-course dinner with a whole lobster, three drinks, an exciting Hawaiian show happening up close, and a sunset and night view from the cruise ship, along with fireworks from Hilton. It was very fulfilling, and I was extremely satisfied! The show's structure was completely different from last time, but it had romantic elements and thrilling performances, which made it very lively! However, it was a bit disappointing that a Japanese company next door was having a private party for their anniversary, and we could hear karaoke of Japanese songs during our quiet dinner... But overall, it was great because my daughter and her husband enjoyed it very much for nearly four hours! They were called to dance by the newlyweds and danced shyly (laughs).

２年前に体験して楽しかったので今回も同じ３スターを申し込みました。ウエデイングの娘夫婦を誘っての参加です！このプランは丸ごとロブスター付きのフルコースディナー、３ドリンク、さらに至近距離で繰り広げられるハワイアンショータイム、そしてクルーズ船から鑑賞するサンセットと夜景、ヒルトンの花火と、とても盛り沢山で大満足しました！ショーの構成は前回とはがらりと変わってましたがロマンティックなものや迫力満点のものがあり大変盛り上がりました！ただお隣で日本の会社が創業記念の貸切パーティーをしていて、静かなディナーの時にカラオケの日本歌謡曲が聞こえたのはちょっと残念でした・・・でも全体を通して４時間近く娘夫婦がとても喜んでくれたので良かったです！新婚さんのダンスに呼ばれて照れながら踊っていました(笑)
