This was my second trip to Hawaii, and this time I was excited to add my son for our first family trip to Hawaii. I quickly signed up for the Rock-a-Hula show. To be honest, I was anxious about what kind of show it would be and whether the meal would be satisfactory, but those worries were completely unnecessary. It was truly the best show and dinner, creating wonderful memories.

The venue is located in the heart of Honolulu, inside the Royal Hawaiian Center, so we arrived without getting lost. When I showed the voucher at the reception, they gave me a backstage tour pass to hang around my neck. At the entrance, the performers welcomed us with hula. The backstage tour was about to start. The manager himself passionately explained the costume room and dressing rooms (in English, but I could understand it somehow!).

They took us to Elvis's dressing room, where we enjoyed a welcome drink and snacks. While we were there, Elvis made an appearance! He took individual photos with us. The commemorative photos taken here are given to you at the end along with a mount, so make sure to take a picture in your favorite outfit with a smile!

After finishing the backstage tour, it was time for dinner. We were guided to seats right in front of the stage, and I was immediately impressed by the location. There were already dinner-only guests seated, but our seats were in a prime location closer to the stage. I was worried about the quantity and taste of the dinner, but both the volume and flavor were excellent. Even my wife, who isn't fond of American steak, finished her meal without any issues. Around that time, guests who were there for the show only were being seated in the stand. Being a few steps closer to the stage than them gave us a slight sense of superiority. Soon, the show began. First was Elvis, then MJ, and finally Katy Perry, with a seamless flow of dance and song that showed they had practiced well. I also got to know the people sitting next to us, and we had a great conversation. By chance, an elderly couple was sitting next to us, and when I talked to them, I learned that they visit Hawaii almost every year and come to see the Rock-a-Hula show each time. They mentioned that the performers and the lineup change every time, so they never get bored.

Before I knew it, the show was over, but as we headed to the exit, the performers came to see us off and happily took photos with us. The manager also casually chatted with us, and I could really feel that all the staff were dedicated to ensuring that the guests were satisfied. I don't know when I will be able to come again, but I definitely plan to return the next time I visit Hawaii.

会場はホノルルの中心、ロイヤルハワイアンセンターの中なので迷うことなく到着できました。受付でバウチャーを見せるとバックステージツアーのパスを首からぶら下げてくれます。入り口ではパフォーマー達がフラで出迎えてくれます。いよいよバックステージツアーのスタートです。バックステージツアーは支配人自ら衣裳部屋や楽屋など、熱弁で説明してくれます。（英語ですが、何となく伝わってきます！）
エルビスの楽屋に連れて行ってくれ、そこでウェルカムドリンク＆お摘みをいただきます。と言っている間に、エルビスが登場！ 個々に記念撮影をしてくれます。ここで撮影した記念写真は最後に台紙とともにプレゼントしてくれますので、お気に入りのファッションと笑顔で撮影してもらいましょう！
バックステージツアーを終えると、ディナーの開始です。ディナーはステージ目の前の席を案内され、まずはその場所に感動します。
バックステージツアーには参加されないディナーオンリーのお客様がすでに着席されていましが、彼らよりステージに近い特等席です。ディナーの量や味も不安でしたが、ボリュームも味も文句なし、アメリカンなステーキが苦手な奥さんも難なく完食です。そのころ、スタンド席にショーオンリーのお客様が案内され着席されていきます。彼らより数段ステージに近い私達は若干の優越感を感じます。程なくショーのスタートです。まずはエルビス、そしてMJ、最後にケイティペリーという構成、全く間を開けずにダンス＆歌、よく練習されている感じが伝わります。隣席の方々とも仲良くなり話も弾みます。今回はたまたま隣席にご年配のご夫婦が居られましたが、話を聞くと毎年のようにハワイに訪れており、その都度ロック・ア・フラショーを見に来られるそうです。毎回出演者や構成が変わるので、飽きることは無いそうです。
あっという間にショーも終わってしまいましたが、出口に向かうと出演者がお見送りしてくれ、写真も快く一緒に撮影してくれます。支配人も気さくに声をかけてくれ、兎に角スタッフ全員が来場者に満足してもらおうという気持ちを物凄く感じました。また次にいつ来れるか、わかりませんが次にハワイに来た時にも必ず来ようと思いました。

Absolutely Amazing

This was the most amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this. To start with, the pick-up and drop off provided was punctual and hassle free. The driver and guide on the bus were very informative and friendly. On arrival communication was perfect and our day went amazing. The Luau dinner was fantastic and definitely worth it adding to the day. The Night Show was the best thing we did while in Hawaii and the seats were great.
The guide we had for the day got us through all the main attractions and was absolutely amazing.
The only advice I would give is to allow extra time to return the following day (additional entry is provided) as there is just so much to see there.

We visited Hawaii for our honeymoon and participated as a couple. We chose a course that included a commemorative photo, where we watched the Hilton fireworks from the boat and enjoyed the night view from Tantalus. The sunset was beautiful but ended quickly, and the night view of the coastal town afterward was truly stunning. Watching the fireworks from the boat isn't a must, but the view from Tantalus was very pretty.

The day's flow was as follows: we were picked up at the hotel (there were many people, and stickers were given out) ⇒ after boarding the boat, we were guided to our seats (appetizers were already available, so we could eat right away. We could have two drinks with the tickets we received beforehand. There was live music, creating a fun atmosphere. After a while, we had a commemorative photo taken) ⇒ soon after, the next dish was served (make sure to eat the lobster all the way to the claws. If you have trouble cracking the shell, the waitress will help you. It was delicious!) ⇒ after a while, a show started on the boat. The atmosphere was enjoyable. ⇒ the Hilton fireworks began (it's good to position yourself in a visible spot a little earlier. You can also go up to the deck before that. The night view is truly beautiful) ⇒ the show started again, and everyone joined in, creating a lively atmosphere as the boat arrived. It was fun! (We received the commemorative photo before the show) ⇒ after getting off the boat, we took a car to Tantalus. (They offer paid commemorative photos, and they take beautiful shots, so I think it's worth it.) ⇒ We were then taken back to the hotel.

The night view was more beautiful than the sunset. I recommend this for those who want to enjoy a luxurious and lively atmosphere. The food is delicious, but don't set your expectations too high.

⇒船に乗船後、席まで案内（すでに前菜があるので、すぐに食事ができます。飲み物は２品まで事前にもらったチケットで飲むことができます。生演奏もあり、楽しい雰囲気です。しばらくすると、記念撮影をしてくれます）
⇒そのうち次の料理が出てきます。（ロブスターはハサミまでしっかり食べましょう。殻割りに困っていたらウェイトレスさんがやってくれました。おいしかった！）
⇒しばらくすると船内でショーがはじまります。楽しい雰囲気で進みます。
⇒ヒルトンの花火がはじまります。（少し前から見やすいところにポジション取りをしておくと良い。その前にデッキにあがることもできます。本当に夜景はきれいです）
⇒再びショーがはじまり、みんなも参加して盛り上がったところで、船がつきます。楽しかった！（ショーの前に記念撮影の写真を受け取りました）
⇒船を降りたら、車にのってタンタラスの丘へ。（記念撮影を有料で行っています。きれいに撮ってくれるので、アリだと思います。）
⇒ホテルまで送迎、でした。
サンセット、というより夜景がきれい。豪華な雰囲気、にぎやかな雰囲気を楽しみたい方にはおすすめです。料理はおいしいけど、期待しすぎないように。

Since this was our honeymoon, we chose the highest rank course called the Green Room, which allowed us to see behind the scenes and backstage. We received explanations about each dressing room and costume used by the cast, which enhanced our enjoyment of the show with a deeper understanding of the behind-the-scenes aspects. Above all, the special feeling of being in the Green Room, where we were treated to appetizers and sparkling wine, filled us with happiness.

The show itself was wonderful, creating a sense of unity with the audience, and the food was delicious! While the show alone would be great, if you're participating, I think it’s even more enjoyable to understand the backstage aspects as well. I highly recommend it for those celebrating a honeymoon or a special occasion!

I participated in the buffet on the sunset cruise. I researched beforehand and found that there was no dress code, but it mentioned that everyone was dressed formally, so I hurried to prepare. However, in reality, everyone attended in casual, everyday outfits. I thought formal attire might be necessary depending on the dinner rank, but for the buffet, which was the cheapest plan, casual clothing is perfectly fine.

The food was incredibly delicious, and the dancing and singing were wonderful. The sunset and night view were also very beautiful and moving. If I have the opportunity to come to Hawaii again, I would like to participate once more.

I was assigned a seat at the very end. Just before departure, they switched me to a seat one row ahead that was available, but drinks had already been served, and I ended up spilling my drink, which they didn't replace. It was a bit difficult to move, but it was better than being at the very end.

As for the food, honestly, the dessert was not good, but the lobster was fairly tasty. I brought a damp hand towel from the hotel in a bag (it's great for wiping off hand stains, so I recommend it).

That day, there were many people from Korea, and there were no performances of songs aimed at the Japanese audience. Surprisingly, the restroom wasn't crowded, and I enjoyed a lovely moment seeing a rainbow over Honolulu.

We came on my birthday and we arrived late so we were very stressed that we missed all of the pre show stuff but the staff was prepared for us and managed to accommodate us anyways. The theatre is beautiful and everything from the dining to the stage and theatrical to the singers, dancers and outfits was very high quality. We would definitely recommend this as a top choice for anyone visiting Oahu on vacation!

Despite the bad weather, we chose the all-you-can-eat crab option instead of other activities. The amount of crab was satisfactory for my wife as well. We were guided to our table in the order we boarded, and after taking photos, we could start eating, so it's better to board early to ensure more crab comes around.

It was expensive, but it felt premium. There was a service of three drinks per person, so no extra charges were needed. Photos were also included at no additional cost. We boarded the ship and took the elevator to the fourth floor for a commemorative photo with the captain. We enjoyed welcome champagne on the deck and indulged in a little luxury.

We purchased Green Room tickets and the whole experience was wonderful. We were met at a special entrance door by friendly staff and were directed to the back stage area for a tour there. The tour host was a very nice fellow who showed us the entire back stage set up with props, costumes, and lots of other interesting equipment.

We then met Katy Perry (very hot) in the Green Room for champagne and snacks prior to the mean. It was a large First Class room where we spoke to other guests and relaxed with drinks before dinner.

We then proceeded to have dinner and wine right in front of the stage. The lobster and steak dinner was super. Again wonderful service.

The Rock-A-Hula Dinner Show was very enjoyable, especially at the best seats in the house! Elvis was quite good. Katy Perry was even better. Katy looks so much like the real singer it was amazing. The dancers and singers surrounding them were beautiful and wonderful as well.

Then Michael Jackson rocked the house. Of course the dancers with Michael Jackson were amazing as well. Everyone rocked along with them.

The Fire Dancing was also so well done as was the great Hawaiian theme dancing. All the dances were so well choreographed and performed that it was indeed breathtaking.

Everyone had a great time at this wonderful, classy, and professional show. We will go next time again when we are in Hawaii !!! Very recommended to see!!!

Great day eating & learning

My husband and i booked this tour pretty last minute and we were so happy we did!
We were staying down at Waikiki Beach and got the bus pick up service from the Marriott which was prompt and well organised. Cousin Knox was our tour leader and kept the bus entertained and informed for the hour long trip. He was funny and accommodating.
Arrived and Cousin Knox picked up all our tickets for the day to get us started. Everything was well explained and we were off with our guides for the day. The guides did so well in the torrential rain which the Centre provided us with ponchos. Some of the activities were busy when we arrived but the guides were able to take us to other areas which were very entertaining and provided us with some insights into their cultures. The luau was very good fun to enjoy whilst eating dinner. Plenty of food and drinks. Well organised tables - we were lucky to get a table in the front.
The only suggestion would be to allow more time for lunch. We arrived at the bbq lunch and unfortunately only had 25 mins to eat as had to get to the start of one of the displays. Not enough time especially since it was a pay your own lunch.
Overall a great day from start to finish where we wwere dropped off back where we were picked up.

I joined this tour after seeing various reviews. I did come across some negative comments about the food not being good, but the all-you-can-eat crab I signed up for was very delicious, and I ended up eating too much! The person who took care of our table was friendly and funny. The dance where everyone in the venue came together to dance is also a great memory.

いろいろな評価を見てこのツアーに参加しました。中にはご飯が美味しくないなどの悪い評価も見ましたが、申し込んだカニ食べ放題のカニがとてもおいしく、食べ過ぎてしまいました！

I participated in the monitor tour this time, and it was a wonderful experience; I'm really glad I joined! The backstage tour before the show was exciting as we got to see behind the scenes that we usually can't access! They even took photos for us.
The meal was luxurious and very satisfying!
And the show featured the dancers' energetic performances, which were truly impressive!! From hula to impersonation shows, I had a great time, and the time flew by.
I went on the last day of my stay in Waikiki, and it was a fitting way to spend my final night. Thank you very much.

Enjoyed the luau! Tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. We had some confusion on pickup spot and after contacting the Customer Service, they had the bus wait for us to get to the right spot. Was very much appreciated!! Dinner was plentiful and delicious. The different productions of entertainment was delightful to watch and participate in. Paradise Cove(Ko Olina Resort) was a beautiful and relaxing place to spend an evening. Mahalo!

Note: The VIP Royal Box seating not worth the money but was a special treat.

I used this for the finale of my first trip to Hawaii.

After getting off the shuttle bus, we boarded the ship as instructed. I wish there was enough time to take pictures of the ship from the outside before boarding, as the guide walked away quickly.

Once on board, we headed to the deck for a commemorative photo with the captain. During dinner, a waiter came around to ask if we wanted to buy the photos.

We received three drink vouchers (for three drinks), which was a great deal. The dinner was plentiful, and the taste was satisfying, featuring lobster and steak.

At sunset, we went outside to take pictures and enjoyed the stylish elements like live jazz performances.

The waitstaff were also very courteous, making it a cruise that was worth the price.

送迎バスから降りると、案内のままに乗船。さっさと案内の方が歩いてしまうので、船に乗る前に外から船の写真を撮る余裕は欲しいです。

乗船後はデッキに向かい、船長さんと記念写真。写真は食事中にウェイターさんが回ってきて、買うかどうか聞いてきます。

ドリンクの券が３枚(３杯分)ついてくるので、お得でした。
ディナーはボリュームたっぷりで、ロブスターやステーキなど、味も満足いくものでした。

サンセット時には、外に出て写真を撮ったり、ジャズ演奏などおしゃれな要素が一杯。

ウェイターさんも丁寧な対応で、値段にふさわしいクルーズでした。

This tour was very nice. We were picked up on time and transferred to a second bus. The driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable about many things Hawaiian. He was friendly, entertaining and very personable. The stops were interesting, although it seemed a bit like we moved from one tourist shopping to another. The times were adequate at most of the stops. However, although the last stop at the Dole Planatation was an hour, we were advised to not take the 20minute train ride as it would possibly make us miss the ride back to our hotel. There were no tours at the temple or plantation which was disappointing, but plenty of shopping! The driver apparently thought there were be more traffic as we were at our hotel about two hours earlier than we expected. We would have enjoyed more time at the North Shore since we did not stop there. Maybe that could be added?

Pacific Island History buff Must!

Given I love history and being of pacific island descent I thoroughly enjoyed this. Tours were well versed and the halls had levels of knowledge and artefacts that were quite fascinating. The Kings Room also had an air of the Kings being in the room with you. Great for kids too as the science center very educational but enjoyable.

This time, I boarded the Five Star. It was my first dinner cruise! Guests on the Five Star took a private elevator to the top floor on the fourth level. I was surprised to find an elevator inside the ship!

Upon arriving on the fourth floor, the captain greeted each guest with a smile. Here, the photography staff took commemorative photos with the captain. The meal featured the highest quality prime tenderloin beef, which was tender and incredibly delicious!

The view of Hawaii from the top deck was amazing! You can step out onto the deck during the meal, so you can fully enjoy the beautiful scenery at your own pace! Unfortunately, there were too many clouds to see the sunset, but I was very satisfied!

With the accompaniment of piano and saxophone, a professional jazz singer filled the ship with beautiful vocals, creating a calm and sophisticated adult atmosphere. The lower level had a lively vibe, but if you want to enjoy a more relaxed adult ambiance, I recommend the Five Star.

下の階は何やら賑やかな感じで舌が落ち着いた、大人の雰囲気を楽しむなら5スターをオススメします

I was surprised by the extreme cold as soon as I boarded. I was worried that if I stayed for two hours, I might catch a cold because the air conditioning was too strong. However, it was really nice to see the hula dance and hear the wonderful singing.

We participated as a group of four, including my parents and my first-grade daughter. My mother, who uses a wheelchair, was guided to a spot closest to the entrance, and there were performances for my daughter, which she really enjoyed! The meal included a one-star steak and all-you-can-eat crab, and the boiled crab was juicy and delicious. However, it would have been appreciated if they had collected the shells after we finished eating.

It was a day when we could see the fireworks from the boat on Friday, and the view of the fireworks from the boat was truly great. After the fireworks, the staff continued to entertain us with dances and performances until we returned to port, creating an atmosphere that you can't experience in Japan. It was fun until the very end! Thank you very much!

Epic is the word that comes to mind. We had the best time. It was more than we had anticipated. We have lived here for 11 years and this was our first time sailing with the Star Of Honolulu. The 5 Star dinner cruise with Live Jazz made our 14th anniversary that much more special. From the warm reception, meeting and greeting the Captain, the Ono pupu’s to the amazing 7 course meal and top notched entertainment we felt like royalty. You can’t beat the amazing sunset and whale sightings either. If you are looking to celebrate or just relax and take in the sights the Star Of Honolulu is definitely the thing to do.
We had a great and memorable time from start to finish. Mahalo Star Of Honolulu .

I signed up for a plan that included bus transportation, all-you-can-eat crab, and guaranteed window-side seating with a photo.

First of all, the person guiding us to the meeting place arrived late. This might be understandable since we are overseas. After about 30 minutes, we arrived and immediately boarded the boat, which already had a lot of people on it.

The food was served quickly, so it seemed like it had been prepared in advance. I was a bit put off by the fact that the meat and crab were on the same plate, but the food itself was very delicious!

The sunset and night view were incredibly beautiful, creating great memories. However, one thing to be cautious about is seasickness. The boat isn't very large, so it felt quite rocky. If you're prone to motion sickness, I definitely recommend taking some medication!

まず初めに、集合場所に案内の人が来るのが遅い。これは海外だから仕方ないのかもしれませんが。
30分ほどで、到着した、すぐに船に乗り込むと、既に沢山人がいました♪
料理は事前に用意されていたのか、すぐに提供されました。お肉と、カニが一緒のお皿になっていたのが、少し嫌でしたが、料理自体はとても美味しかった！！
サンセットも、夜景もすごく綺麗で、良い思い出となりましたが、気をつけなければならないのが、船酔いですね。
そこまですごく大きい船ではないので、かなり揺れてる感じがしました。乗り物酔いが有る人は、必ず酔い止めを服用するのがおススメ♪

My husband and I had a spectacular time on this 5 star dinner cruise. We've lived here for 11 years and this was our first time experiencing the elegance and absolute superb 5 star dinning experience the Star of Honolulu offers. From start to finish everything was spectacular. We were treated like VIP's. We were greeted and warmly escorted to the boat where we partook of some extremely delectable pupu's while being serenaded by a Polynesian dancer and ukulele player. We were also introduced to the Captain of the ship and was afforded a photo op with him. As the evening progressed the boat set sail and the 7 course meal did not disappoint. We ate until our belly's were super tight. Did I mention the majestic sunset we watched from our window seats? Simply amazing! We also enjoyed the top shelf drinks that were apart of the menu. But not to worry if you are not an alcohol drinker there are many non-alcohol drinks to choose from.
This dinner cruise truly exceeded our expectations and we would wholeheartedly recommend the 5 star experience especially for that very special occasion. Its the perfect way to celebrate. It's kid friendly too. Mahalo Star of Honolulu for a very memorable anniversary! #14yrs

I was unsure which ship to choose, but I'm glad I went with the Star of Honolulu! The generous salad and all-you-can-eat crab were delicious. The hula and shows were also impressive, and in the end, the passengers joined in for a dance (though most didn't). The fireworks were beautiful and will be a memorable experience for me. (Please don't compare it to Japanese fireworks festivals.)

どの船にしようか迷いましたがスターオブホノルル号にしてよかったです！量の多いサラダと蟹食べ放題美味しかったです。フラやショーも見応えがあり，最後は乗客も一緒にダンスをしました。（しない方のほうが多いですが）花火も綺麗で，思い出になりますよ。（日本の花火大会と比べないで下さいね）
