During Golden Week, I participated in the Twilight Deluxe.
I boarded the shuttle bus that arrived at the hotel at 4 PM, and after listening to the guide's very enjoyable and interesting stories for a while, we soon arrived at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
The buffet at the Ambassador Restaurant is deluxe, but it feels like it's best not to have too high expectations.
The show starts at 7:30 PM, but since we had reserved seats, I felt reassured. Our seats were in the middle of the fourth row from the front, so we had a fantastic view and were very impressed!
During the break in the show, they handed out giant-sized ice cream! It was equivalent to three Super Cups, so it was too much for one person to finish.
It would have been perfect if there hadn't been a downpour when we boarded the bus for the return trip... In Hawaii, where the weather can change quickly, an umbrella might be essential.

It was a more enjoyable cruise than I imagined.

I did pay for the tour of back stage but did recive it. other then that it was a great package..
I had an absolutely fabulous time. I had a personal guide, Stephanie, and she was great. Assisted me when I needed it. Kept my camera and took my picture with everything. II was treated like royalty by her. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the islands. And I would recommend the Super Ambassador tour. I don't have any pictures uploaded yet so cannot include any at this time.
Wow, where do I begin? We enjoyed the PCC alot! We were greeted at the pick up point by positive and pleasent staff. When we boarded the bus we were entertained all the way to the center. Our guide was Cuz Ken and he was very professional and entertaning. The day was full of events starting with lunch and then leading on to a series of islands. Each island had a unique cultrual display of dancing and interaction with the audience. We were busy all day, from 10:30am to 10:30pm. The lunch and dinner were very nicely organized and presented. We were so moved by the evening show "The Breath of Life", we bought the dvd! We would recommend this tour to anyone!
We went on a guided tour arrive at the Cultural Center @ 2pm. That's the way to go if you have limited time and what to navigate the park and catch as many of the mini-shows at each village as possible. Our guide set a leisurely pace, so the group and older folks can stick together.
The food at the luau was medicore. But the village experience and the night show, HA waws great!
The shuttle ride fom Wakiki was informative. It was a wonderful way to explore more of the island on limited time and budget. The Cultural Center was amazing. The staff went above and beyond expectations. The dinner was just average. I expectected a higher quality of food. Did not go back for seconds so I had more time to explore the Cultural Center.
The staff was magnificient. The cruise along the sunset waters of Oahu was romantic and picture perfect. Great entertainment and food. We had the 3 star VIP with Dom Perignon. Wonderful night. Perfect for couples. And if you are thinking of Proposing, this itinery is perfect. Alo'ha!!!!
Amazing!!! We had the opportunity to learn about the history and people of Polynesia. Very entertaining and interactive. We had the Super Ambassador package which basically means VIP. We had front row seating to all shows, our own personal guided tour and dvd. Our guide, cousin Spencer went beyond the call of duty to make our experience the most enjoyable time we have ever had. Alo'ha!!!!
I enjoyed the evening show and dinner. Since it was my first time, I watched with great interest. The Polynesian atmosphere was rich, and the story was easy to understand and entertaining. The stage design was particularly wonderful, and the men's dancing was lovely. I would like to go again. This time, I’m thinking of experiencing a full day in the world of Polynesia starting from the afternoon...

Wow! The cruise was wonderful. We bought the 3-star package and the food was excellent, the service was great. Our server was perfect and made us feel pretty special. The show after dinner was top-notch, too, and a lot of fun. We did not cruise as far as we might have, but the weather was not cooperating. Can't help that. The highlight of our Honolulu vacation!
Selected Ambassador package and got a guided tour as part of it. Guide was fine, but we were not able to look around the "villages." Instead, we only went from one presentation to the next, missing portions of some of them, and then it was time for the luau. Interesting, but not outstanding. The facility should open earlier in the day. For the price, you should at least have time to see most of it. Luau food was not particularly good, lunch menu was better, and the "show" during the luau left a lot to be desired. "Ha", the show afterwards was very good, however.
Um... yeah. this was an AMAZING way to start our Oahu vacation. We went as a couple doing the regular package. The food was good- no real complaints there. and you get one drink (that was pretty weak). and there is entertainment. all as one would expect...
but the best part of it was the SUNSET!! Even though it was a little chilly, it was incredibly romantic and we got some nice photos
And we SAW HUMPBACK WHALES!!! about 12-15 of them to be exact. Lots of tail flukes and 4 spy-hopping. We were probably the only couple that saw that many because we ate dinner and then decided to for-go the cheesy entertainment with all the ...tourists, and go up on the deck to make sure we didn't miss the sunset. When we went back in, we were surprised how many people didn't go on the deck, and didn't see ANY whales!!
TIPS: Arrive early to get a dinner table by the window. Don't waste your time with the cheesy entertainment, the sunset is what makes this trip worth it (and whales!!). Also, get
My husband and I, had such an enchanting evening! Aha Aina is different from your typical "hula hula" type of luau. This event is authentic and very respectful. You have a wonderful storyteller "Uncle Joe", telling his stories about the hotel and his life growing up in Hawaii and how times have changed. You have tasty, mouthwatering appetizers that melt in your mouth! Delicious fruit drinks made upon your request with servers eager to assist you. This was such a wonderful change from those typical luaus that you would attend around the islands..such grand entertainment, succulent food and exceptional service! I would highly recommend this dinner show for people who want to experience what Hawaii actually has to offer!
Being greeted by a pretty Hawaiin girl is just great. Angie was just thrilled. Kudos, to the young lady, She was very nice in helping us out of the Airport.
We went on the Dinner Cruise for our anniversary and it was so enjoyable. They had some great entertainment (singer and dancers). The food was wonderful as well. But to top of our evening we were able to spot some dolphins swimming and jumping along side the boat. Could not have had a better experience and would definitely do this again.

It's simply wonderful. The show in Waikiki looks like child's play. The stage setup was fantastic, and at the end, I was lucky enough to get a handshake! We traveled by bus, and on the way back, I noticed some people getting lost due to the crowd, but our bus was well-organized, and we were able to return to Waikiki quickly. The show at the Polynesian Cultural Center is top-notch and excellent. University students work as staff, and everyone is passionately involved, creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the facility. It was great to experience the cultures of various Polynesian islands all at once.
I participated in a plan that included a dinner show centered around Hawaiian hula during the Luau Workshop, which lasts for an hour. This is the only course where you can enjoy a show while having dinner. They showcase Polynesian cooking methods that you won't see anywhere else, including the imu (whole roasted pig). However, I couldn't eat the roasted pig. I wonder where it went after it was cooked. I assume it went to the dining area for those with higher-tier plans.
Afterward, the authentic show features a fantastic story called “‘Hā’ Breath of Life” night show. Fathers who are dedicated to parenting will surely be moved by this show. I was very touched. The Hawaiian show emphasizes storytelling. However, I think I should have participated in a plan with better food than the Luau Workshop. I highly recommend visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Buying flowers for teenage boys is always a gamble, but Maleia (spelled wrong) was simply wonderful. She welcomed my teenage grandsons and I with open arms of Hawaiian friendship, set the tone for our entire vacation and even stayed with us when our luggage was lost and escorted us to the shuttle bus for our rental car...and, Oh! - the three lei's were breathtakingly beautiful! This was a surprise for our first-time to Oahu (40th Birthday Celebration). It was so nice to receive after a long plane flight, not to mention the lei quality! We also received valuable "airport" tips for our trip home as well as great ideas of things to do on the islands. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend!
The story performed, Breath of Life, was a perfect show for Christmas. For a short time I forgot I was in Hawaii in the warmth and back home in snow and the true meaning of Christmas --- thank you to all for your hard work.
The ship departed with nearly 30 passengers on board. The sunset, just before it disappeared, was truly beautiful. However, shortly after boarding, I found it difficult to hold in my need to use the restroom, which was quite challenging. I held on for a while but didn’t realize there was a portable toilet available. The foreign guests were drinking and having a great time, chatting a lot. I would like to learn from them.

I am so happy that I was able to participate on this activity - it was WONDERFUL! I loved my Cousin Lloyd who was my group guide... everyone was wonderful, friendly, informative, and very respectful of their responsibilities - portraying to us the visitors a part of history and sharing of their culture. Everyone was funny, attentive and kind. I loved it! I will definitely do this again for my future visits. The Luau was delicious and Ha: The Breath of Life was incredible... too bad the video was not available for me to bring for my family to see in AZ. It was my first time visiting Hawaii, and I took my family to the Royal Celebration. We had a great time as a family learning, and experiencing the Hawaiian culture. It was a very unique and quiet interesting. The food was beyond my expectations, so so delicious, and the outdoor venue is perfect to watch the Waikiki Sunset, view of Diamond Head, and to watch some waves coming in to shore. Beautiful pink hotel and we can't wait to do it again in our next visit to Hawaii. It was definitely a different and once in a lifetime experience. It is not your typical Luau, this is royalty style celebration, and we loved every minute of it.

We had the best seat. We recommend paying extra for the window seat its worth it. And the Sunset was soo Awesome. I was worried about getting sea sick I'm sorta sensitive, But I was uneffected. I did not get sick :)
I've lived in Hawaii my whole life and my Husband has been here for over 10 years so we see beautiful senaery everyday, And I've danced hula and tahitian Yet, Its just nice to get away and enjoy Hawaii for yourself...
We had a Great Time and would Do it Again :)
Maybe next time we'll take my Mom in Law I think she'd love it!
