Dont miss "HA-the Breath of Life"-this presentation is showing all the different costumes and dances of the 5 different tribes inside the Polynesian Culture Center-is a very nice introduction to their culture all concentrated in a 90 minute presentation. Staffs were kind and frendly. However, I would not recommend the buffet- food is not worth the price...

Overall, it was a fun experience that I couldn't have in Japan, and I was very satisfied. The long journey there was made wonderful by our guide, James Mori, whose stories were fantastic, and I wanted to hear more and more of them.

My husband and I spent our last night in Honolulu on the Star of Honolulu's Three Star Cruise and it is one of our fondest memories. I booked this for couple on their arrival to Oahu and was worried being it was done on the internet that they would not receive their lei. BUT.... Was extremely excited when I received word that they had got their greeting and that it made their arrival so special. Not only did they get amazing help and support at the airport, but they got to keep the personalized sign!! We are so thrilled that we are booking another greeting for another couple that are going over!!!
*** Their plane even arrived 55 min late and the greeter was ready and waiting for them at the gate!!!

I was drawn in by the reasonable price and participated, and it was really great! The staff seemed to not understand Japanese, but they were very considerate, and I felt a bit sorry about that. I don't understand much English, but I managed somehow. I think there were five of us Japanese: a mother and daughter, and three young women. The registration was at the beach behind the hotel, and more people kept joining on the day.
You can wear anything, even swimsuits! It's better if your pants are short (above the knee). Even though I'm not good at socializing with everyone, I felt very happy just gazing at the sea and the sunset.
Thank you so much to the staff for being considerate to the Japanese mother and daughter. I would love to participate again next time.

This was a great trip, but we should have done the whole day - there just wasn't enough time to visit everything. The food was exceptional - every part of the show was fantastic.
Overall the tour was very good with visits to many points of interest around Honolulu in the morning and then tour the PCC in the afternoon. Dinner was quite nice and the "breath of life" show as wonderful!
However, we wish that the driver would let us know that there would not be any time for lunch once inside the PCC as the activities inside the PCC would be jam packed. The bus driver should gave us 15 to 30 more minutes inside the Dole Plantation Center so that we could get a light lunch before we head off to the PCC.
Don't get me wrong, we had a wonderful time at PCC however our guide kept leaving us behind, she moved so quickly thru the crowds that my husband had a hard time keeping up, pushing me in a wheelchair. She would just go on without us. We did not get to experience everything we paid for, the food was medicore, our guide could have cared less but the parade of floats was amazing and the HA breath of life show was an experience of a lifetime.
I participated in a luau workshop with a friend, and we had a variety of experiences! At that time, there were only three of us participants, including a man who joined alone, so it felt very private.
A student named Junya, who was really upbeat, guided us and responded well to our requests for things we wanted to do! Thanks to him, during the mini-show in Tahiti, we got to dance the Tahitian dance on stage with a cool male dancer, and we received a lot of applause from the audience, which made us really happy!
At Ali'i Luau, thanks to the man who participated with us, we were able to experience making poke, which wasn't part of our original tour plan, and it was super delicious and fun!
The show was truly wonderful, and the hour and a half flew by with a break in between! The fire dance was really amazing! My excitement was through the roof.
Since the time was long, I honestly had some concerns about whether it would be enjoyable in Hawaii, but I'm really glad I participated! I had a fantastic time!

This is definitely something for a first-timer to hawaii. Its probably not something i will do again, but definitely enjoyable for my first visit! flowers were beautiful, and the lady was very nice and walked us to our baggage claim and helped us with our rental.
The food wasn't as good as i expected, but i think you are mainly paying for the cruise. the mai tais were great! steak could have been cooked a little more. i dont like crab, but my boyfriend loved it! this is def a great activity for a little romance for couples for a nice evening.
My boyfriend and I went on the sunset cruise, and loved it. Thanks to the staff who were great and esspecially the bar man. We had read some reviews that some people felt because it was free drinks the bar man was a bit slow. Not at all the case. As soon as we put our empty shaker on our head he ran over and filled it up:)

Our guide, Kerina, was very entertaining, and we were able to learn about Hawaii's history and culture as well. I believe there are many Oahu tours available, but I highly recommend this one. Moreover, our driver, Minoru, who has lived in Hawaii for 28 years, was very kind and easy to communicate with, which made us feel at ease. For us, who are new to Hawaii, it became a wonderful memory. They even held a craft class during our lunch break and took us to Pearl Harbor, which was not originally planned, and I was very moved by that. I was surprised and touched to hear the story from the novel "Eternal Zero" presented as a true story. This tour of "Oahu" was so fulfilling that I think it would be worthwhile just to meet the guides. Thank you very much.

We took the tour on the first day after arriving and it was too much too soon. I am sure we would have enjoyed it more had we been rested but we were worn out.
The tour does go to all of the spots but you get very little time at any of them and the stop at the Dole Plantation is not long enough to do much of anything.
The sunset is amazing! The vibe with the Americans is great too! The bartender is super handsome. It might be good to wear something like a swimsuit and sweatpants.
