Waikiki was the destination of our honeymoon and a Fireworks Cocktail Cruise sounded perfect! I didn't anticipate how DARK it would be when arriving to the boat. It should have been obvious...but I didn't think about it. It was cumbersome to board the boat due to the tide and needing to board from another area a catamaran had left from. This meant we had to walk over a concrete divide that had been slightly eroded to access the ship. Was a little tricky.
The staff for the event was great. Full of energy and kept everyone informed of what was happening. The boat was full of happy tourists ready to party. Drinks flowed quickly and if you were adept enough to weave through the crowd in bobbing waves--there was not problem in accessing beverages. Since it was super dark, it was hard to see how to get around the boat. We unfortunately sat by the toilet on deck which was hysterical. It basically was a clear plastic top that opened and you climbed down stairs that felt like a propped up ladder. Inside it was really tight to move (duh, it's a catamaran). My husband said he didn't know how women would actually use it if they needed to sit. Best of all was---since it was so dark, the only light you could see was from the toilet; and if you were down there...EVERYONE could look down and see you. It was one of my favorite take-aways from the experience.

Overall the cruise was fun, staff was great, and drinks were solid. Hard part is having only a few minutes of fireworks...and then floating around in the dark with a boombox and sitting next to the bathroom.

If I was to book a cocktail cruise again...I'd choose the happy hour to enjoy the sunset.

Crew was great, they treated you like long time friends.
The drinks were awesome and not the watered down ones you get with other all you can drink tours. Part of the fun was getting on and off the boat.
Only negative comment was that the head had a see through hatch, but I would do this trip again. I highly recommend this sail trip.

After waiting for the shuttle bus for 20 minutes, I finally thought it had arrived, but a family showed up late, resulting in a total delay of over 30 minutes. Because of this, I couldn't enjoy the park tour that I was really looking forward to!

Still, dinner was delicious in a spacious setting, and the show afterward was wonderful, making me feel that it was definitely worth coming back after 20 years!

This is a fantastic place that you must visit when you go to Hawaii. Based on my experience from 20 years ago, I recommend that energetic visitors arrive earlier to explore the park. For older guests, this time slot seems to be less tiring and more suitable.

お迎えのバスを待つこと20分、ようやく来たと思って乗り込んだら一組の家族が遅れてきて、合計30分以上の時間ロス。おかげで楽しみにしていた園内散策が全くできませんでした！
それでもディナーは広々としたところでおいしくいただき、そのあとのショーは20年ぶりに、やっぱり来てよかった～！！と感動させられる素晴らしいものでした。
ハワイに行ったらマストで訪れるべき、素敵なところです。
20年前の経験からいうと、エネルギーのある方は、もっと早い時間から行って、園内を回ることをおすすめします。年配の方にはこの時間帯が疲れずいいと思います。

We had a wonderful time. Beautiful cruise. Do not waste your time with the additional City Lights tour, though. Better to drive on your own to see these.

My husband and I chose to do this activity as part of our honeymoon after friends bought us a voucher for Hawaii activities. Although it was a little choppy going out (your fine if you stay out on the boat in the fresh air) we had the most amazing time!! The food was fantastic, the sunset was beautiful and the fireworks just topped off a perfect evening. We had so much fun meeting people and having a few drinks. Even if it's really hot make sure you take a jumper as it does get a bit chilly out on the ocean as the sun goes down. We would recommend this activity and the makani crew to anyone looking for this kind of activity!!!

I was in the second row from the front, closer to the center, and it was very impressive! So, I am satisfied with the seating. The content of the show can be understood by adults, but I think it would be difficult for children, and they might get bored halfway through. The fire dance was wonderful, so I hope everyone can see it until the end. I decided to go for the deluxe course to make the meal special, but I was disappointed that there wasn't any food that made me feel it was worth it. It was a buffet style, but there wasn't anything I wanted to have seconds of. At this level, I think the standard option would have been sufficient.

なので、席については満足しています。
ショーの内容自体は、大人だと理解ができますが、
子供には難しいと思いますし、途中で飽きるかと思います。
ファイヤーダンスは素晴らしかったので、最後まで見てほしいですが。
食事を良いものにしようと、デラックスコースにしましたが、
デラックスにして良かったと思えるような食べ物は無く、残念でした。
バイキング形式でしたが、おかわりしたい食べ物は無かったです。
この程度なら、スタンダードで十分だと思いました。

Absolutely recommended!!!!!!!

Last time (last year) it was canceled due to a hurricane. This was my second try.

The boat was full. I think there were about 40 people on board. Japanese was not spoken. There was one other group of Japanese guests, probably.

I was worried about seasickness (I usually get seasick easily), but no problem!!!

I enjoyed the view of Waikiki from the sea,

and then,

I was so excited by the sea, the rainbow, the dolphins, and the sunset that I couldn't focus on anything else^^

The Mai Tai was close to orange juice, but I had three cups. I think this amount is just right. If it were stronger in alcohol, I would probably get seasick.

The cocktails were only Mai Tai. There were other juices available.

Anyway, I was moved by the sea, the rainbow, the dolphins, and the sunset. The dolphins seemed to be playing with the boat in groups.

I want to ride again next time!!!

Without a doubt, it's a hall of fame experience.

再度のトライでした。

船は、満員。40名位乗ってたんじゃないかと思います。
日本語は、通じません。
日本人のお客さんも他1組、多分。

船酔いを気にしてましたが（普段酔いやすいタイプです）
ノープロブレム！！！

興奮でそれどころじゃなかったです^^

マイタイは、オレンジジュースに近かったけれど、3杯飲みました。
多分このくらいが良いのでしょう。
アルコール強めだと船酔いしちゃうでしょうね。

カクテルは、マイタイのみ。
他はジュースがありました。

とにかく、海と虹とイルカと夕陽に感動。
イルカは群れになって船とじゃれあってるみたいでした。

次もまた乗りたい！！！

This was my sixth trip to Hawaii. This time, I visited for my niece's wedding, and a friend recommended that I definitely check it out! Elvis, Gaga, Michael Jackson... it was so much fun! The dinner, which even included lobster, was satisfying for the price! I also enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the night streets! I highly recommend it for those who want to relax on Oahu!

６度目のハワイ。今回は姪の結婚式での訪問だったので、友人に「絶対いいよ！」と薦められて観させていただきました。エルビス、ガガ、マイケルジャクソン。。。おもしろかった！楽しかった！ロブスターまであったディナーもあのお値段にしては満足です(^^♪
のんびり散歩しながら夜の街も満喫できました！
オワフ島でのんびりしたい方にはおすすめです！

Breathtaking! Beautiful Lei and presentation...only suggestion would be to provide information and container to preserve Lei to take home!

Positives first...the Show is Amazing! I personally enjoy the show more than any Luau I have attended on Oahu. As a former resident and frequent visitor to HI....this has always been one of my favorite activities to visit and bring friends and family......sorry to say that the late entry does not allow you to do anything but attend the Luau and Show...there is NO time to do or visit the other activites....very disappointing.....not sure the Late Entry should be an option at all...unless....you just want to got to the Luau and Show, and it should be advertised that way.

The singer came up to the audience, and there was a lot of excitement with handshakes and more. I participated in the cocktail show, which included one drink, and I was able to order various cocktails. The venue was easy to see from my seat, which was in a great location, and I had a wonderful time. The photo opportunity after the show was also nice.

シンガーが客席に上がって、握手など大変盛り上がりました。カクテルショーに参加でしたが、ドリンク１パイ付でしたが、いろいろなカクテルを頼めて、ショー会場も見やすく、席もいいところで、大変楽しかったです。ショー後の、記念写真タイムも良かったです。

I participated with four friends from my hula class. Before the hula lesson, we received information about the plants that were planted and explanations of the exhibits in the building (which were very educational), and then we had our beloved Noelani's lesson... Amazingly, it was just the four of us experiencing it!!! We even had time to practice writing the hula and I made sure to remember it well for my return home.

However, it's unfortunate that the shuttle service from Honolulu to the Bishop Museum, which was included in the past two visits, was no longer available this time. I was considering taking The Bus, but since the start time is in the morning, I thought there would be many students commuting. So, I took a taxi there (which took about 20 minutes) and returned by The Bus. On the way back, there were many students on board, and I had to stand for about an hour. Since our time was limited, that hour of travel was precious, so I hope they will reinstate the shuttle service.

フラ教室の仲間4人と参加しました。フラレッスン前に植えられている植物のお話や館内での展示物の説明（とっても勉強になりました。）を受け、大好きなノエラニのレッスンに…。なんと私たち4人だけで体験することに!!!振りを書く時間もあり、しっかり覚えて帰国しました。

ただ、残念なのが過去2回はホノルルからビショップミュージアムの送迎付だったのに今回からなくなっていました。ザ・バスの移動と考えてましたが、開始時間が朝なので時間帯から学校へ通う学生がたくさん乗るだろうと、行きはタクシー（所要時間20分）帰りはザ・バスで移動。帰りも学生がたくさん乗ってて1時間ぐらい立ちっぱなしでした。滞在時間が限られているので、1時間の移動は貴重なので送迎付を復活してほしいです。

The catamaran sail was a great experience. The crew were friendly and enthusiastic and the other passengers were all happy to chat. Getting to see the fireworks from the ocean is an amazing thing and I am very pleased that I went. I would definitely go again next time I am in Honolulu and I recommend it whole-heartedly.

Unfortunately, we were not blessed with good weather and couldn't see the sunset. However, I had a wonderful time with a Mai Tai in hand off the coast of Waikiki Beach! I definitely want to join again next time!!!

残念ながらお天気に恵まれずサンセットを見ることはできませんでした。。が、ワイキキビーチ沖でマイタイ片手にとても楽しい時間を過ごすことができました！！次回またぜひ参加したいです！！！

The dance show was truly moving. The young man who guided us was also wonderful. I recommend experiencing it at least once if you go to Hawaii!

The food was very disappointing, but the show was really good. I think you can enjoy it just fine from the standard seats, not just the deluxe ones. The staff were Japanese, which was great.

料理がとっても、残念でしたがショーはとっても良かったです。デラックス席じゃなくても、スタンダードで十分観覧出来ると思います。
スタッフの方は、日本人でとっても良かったです。

Our second time to the Centre. I have to say, out of all the activities on offer in Hawaii, this place has to be the best valued day out. It covered our transport, great entertainment, informative, our evening meal, then the finale is a terrific show..The Breath of Life....would highly recommend the Polynesian Culture Centre as a worthwhile addition to your vacation.

When I went for the first time two years ago, the impersonator of Steven Tyler was so impressive that this time, my expectations were higher, resulting in an average rating.

完成度が高すぎて、期待した分、今回は平均的な評価になりました。

The show was impressive and very enjoyable. I rated it four stars because it was hot and sunny until sunset, but the service was very pleasant, as they offered drinks to the kids and provided two leis. The buffet was delicious and catered to Japanese tastes, so I even had some sushi that I wouldn't typically eat in Hawaii. I would love to participate again.

迫力あるショーでとても楽しかったです。
日没まで、日が当たり暑かったので、星4つにしましたが、ドリンクを子供にサービスしてくれたり、レイを二つ掛けてくれたりと、とても感じの良い接客でした。
ビュッフェもおいしく、日本人好みの味だったので、ハワイで食べない海苔巻も頂きました。
また参加したいです。

Besides the great time at the Ali'i Luau, and the HA show, the Polynesian Cultural Center has a lot to offer, we start our adventure at 12 noon and at dinner time we were 75% done, every island has a lot of to see and do, from the kids games, to all family fun it was great, best Luau and best cultural experience!!

The boat was nice and the buffet was fair, but the entertainment went down hill fast. The evening started with Hula dancers tat were very good and entertaining, but once the Japanese guitarist took over and started singing contemporary pop music, I couldn't get out of the cabin fast enough...And he went on, and on...and on. It was as if they were intentionally trying to chase us outside. Painful.

Since it was my first time, I chose a plan starting with dinner, but I wanted to see more of the fun park inside. Next time, I want to go during the day.

The buffet has separate entrances depending on the course, and you enter by getting a stamp on your hand. There aren't many types of food, but the seafood was particularly delicious. I recommend ordering ice cream, as they serve it for you, and you can add your own toppings.

The show was very satisfying, and even though I didn't understand the words, the dancers' passion came through, and I was moved to tears. The male performance using fire was very exciting. It seemed like it would be easy to see from the back, so it looked like you could enjoy it from there as well. We wanted to see it up close, so we chose the front, and it was really close enough to touch!

The bus ride felt long, but I definitely want to come back to Hawaii and see it again.

初めて行くのでディナーからのプランを選びましたが、奥まで楽しそうな園内がもっと見たくなりました。次は昼から行きたいです。
バイキングはコースによって入り口が分かれています。手にスタンプを押して入ります。
あまりご飯の種類はないですが、特にシーフードが美味しかったです。オススメはアイスクリームも頼むとよそってくれて、トッピングも自分達で出来ますよ。
ショーは大変満足いくもので、言葉は分からなくてもダンサーの情熱が伝わって、感動して涙が出て来ました。男性の炎を使った演目はとても盛り上がりますよ。一応、後ろの方でも見やすそうだったので、そこでも充分楽しめそうでした。私達は近くで見たい！とゆう希望だったので前方にしましたが、ほんとに触れる位近かったです！
移動バスが長く感じますが、是非、またハワイに来たら見に来ようと思います。

sunset was beautiful, staff was friendly and fun, music was great, and drinks were strong! loved it!

This was my third time. The catamaran had changed to a new one. Unfortunately, the netting was disappointing and brought my mood down. The previous one had a mesh design that felt like you were gliding over the sea when you sat down, which was fantastic, but now it was just a series of holes, and I couldn't enjoy that refreshing feeling. However, my friend who joined me was experiencing it for the first time and had a great time. They were very happy and said they definitely want to ride again, so I give it four stars.

今回で3度目でした　カタマランが新しく変わってました　ネットが残念なことになっていてテンションさがりました　前のは網状でスケスケで座ると海の上を滑ってるかのようですっごく良かったのですがただの穴ぷつぷつあいたものになっていてあの爽快感が味わえませんでした　でも一緒に参加した友達は初めての体験でしたのでとても楽しんでました　またぜひ乗りたいと大喜びでした　ので星４つです

During the bus ride to the cultural center, they provided information about the tourist attractions we passed, making it an enjoyable experience. The food at the cultural center was delicious, and the show was impressive and fun!

文化センターへのバスの中でも、途中通過する観光名所の案内をして下さり、楽しく過ごすことかできました。
文化センターでの食事も美味しくて、ショーは迫力があって、楽しめます！

I booked this cruise as a surprise for my girlfriend and she absolutely loved it! Every friday the Hilton hotel has a free fireworks show and this is a great way to view them and to make the evening that much more special. I would recommend this activity to couples but it is set up so anyone can enjoy.

Our catamaran cruise started off with their driver coming to pick us up. He was on time and very friendly. We arrived at the dock early and had our first look at the Makani. It was very clean and was smaller than all the other catamarans in the area which was exactly what I was looking for. The boat held roughly 30-40 people. The only complaint we had while waiting to board was nobody came to talk to us about what was going on. Our group stood there for half an hour and as other groups showed up, we then found out we had to redeem our tickets. By this time there was a large line but thankfully they got everyone through quickly. Before we left the dock, the captain went over the features of the boat, introduced the crew and went over everything we needed to know to keep us safe. Once out out on the water, the crew invited us to take part in helping run the ship with their supervision. I thought that was great to make the experience that much more personal. We sailed for an hour then they stopped the boat so we could have our dinner. It was a buffet style with plenty of food to go around. We then found our spot in the water over looking the Hilton. The fireworks started at 7:45 and lasted five minutes. It was a great show and they used quality fireworks that were exciting to watch.

Great idea - poor execution! It was a beautiful night and we were ready for a relaxing and delicious dinner cruise. Perhaps we misunderstood what was being offered. First, our pick up was scheduled for 4:10 pm but didn't arrive until after 4:45 pm. After signing in and another short wait, we were invited to board. Even though we knew this was on a catamaran, we thought there would be tables for each diner. This was not the case. Maximum guests (60 - 80) were crammed onto the vessel. This included some young children. Food was very good for the most part, but dinner was a "serve yourself buffet". Not the best option with children on a moving boat. Also, it was impossible to enjoy the meal with the catamaran moving at a fast pace, wind blowing aggressively, and no good place to sit while eating. We still enjoyed ourselves but the price was a bit high for the event. Perhaps just a sunset cocktail cruise would be better. Some drinks and delicious hors d'oeuvres. P.S. The sunset was magnificent!

Our family of 4 did a Thursday night cruise. The weather absolutely gorgeous, scenery spectacular! The crew were extremely capable and very pleasant. We like what was trying to be done, but possibly too much is trying to be attempted. The food was a little disappointing for what we paid. There was only one table to eat on, otherwise you had to eat on your lap. Fighting the boats movement, the wind and everyone else on board was a challenge.We also felt like portion control was a must as the food supply seemed to be limited. I would suggest maybe not doing a full dinner, but maybe drinks and appetizers, and maybe some live entertainment.Also maybe a little more staffing would be helpful. Overall I would give 2 and a half stars. I liked what was trying to be done, but a little refinement is in order. But hey its paradise, nothing is that bad.
