My husband and I, had such an enchanting evening! Aha Aina is different from your typical "hula hula" type of luau. This event is authentic and very respectful. You have a wonderful storyteller "Uncle Joe", telling his stories about the hotel and his life growing up in Hawaii and how times have changed. You have tasty, mouthwatering appetizers that melt in your mouth! Delicious fruit drinks made upon your request with servers eager to assist you. This was such a wonderful change from those typical luaus that you would attend around the islands..such grand entertainment, succulent food and exceptional service! I would highly recommend this dinner show for people who want to experience what Hawaii actually has to offer!

We had never been to a luau so we had nothing to compare this to. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
The entertainment and activities before and after the meal were great, fun and appropriate for all age groups.
The taste and quality of food was good. The amount was plentiful. The alcoholic beverages that came with the VIP ticket was plentiful, although not very strong.
We bought the VIP package so that we wouldn't have to stand in line for the buffet. We went at a slow time in February (about 350 people) so it wasn't bad, but I would definitely recommend the VIP package in the peak season.
The lei and photos were very nice.
The fun didn't stop when we left the luau. The Paradise Cove tour guide sent to pick us up was fantastic. In the way to the luau we got to know the other people on our bus. We became a family of "cousins." On the way back we had music and humor based on our shared experiences. Our tour guide even played his ukulele and serenaded us. I didn't want to get off

The show at the Polynesian Cultural Center is top-notch and excellent. University students work as staff, and everyone is passionately involved, creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the facility. It was great to experience the cultures of various Polynesian islands all at once.
I participated in a plan that included a dinner show centered around Hawaiian hula during the Luau Workshop, which lasts for an hour. This is the only course where you can enjoy a show while having dinner. They showcase Polynesian cooking methods that you won't see anywhere else, including the imu (whole roasted pig). However, I couldn't eat the roasted pig. I wonder where it went after it was cooked. I assume it went to the dining area for those with higher-tier plans.
Afterward, the authentic show features a fantastic story called “‘Hā’ Breath of Life” night show. Fathers who are dedicated to parenting will surely be moved by this show. I was very touched. The Hawaiian show emphasizes storytelling. However, I think I should have participated in a plan with better food than the Luau Workshop. I highly recommend visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Among the tour participants, I noticed that there were only a handful of Japanese people, and we communicated in English from start to finish! I think it's a must for those who can speak English, want to speak, are practicing, or want to immerse themselves in the feeling of being abroad!! The food was delicious, and as everyone has mentioned, the content was very fulfilling, but what I found particularly interesting was the bus guide's stories during the bus rides☆ Please join and experience it for yourself!

I participated in a tour to watch the evening show that started in the afternoon.
Since it was quite far from Waikiki, I thought I could catch up on some sleep during the ride. However, the woman in charge provided interesting explanations about things we saw from the bus window, shared stories related to them, and talked about her own experiences, which were all very engaging, and I couldn't sleep at all.
Following her advice, I had dinner at the buffet right after we arrived, allowing me to enjoy my meal without overlapping with those who had arrived earlier for dinner. (Since the bus arrived relatively smoothly, I couldn't participate in the program, but I was able to take a leisurely walk around the park after eating.)
The show featured various dances and costumes that followed a storyline, and I felt it was worth participating in this tour.
Next time I go to Hawaii, I would like to join a daytime program and also try taking photos in Polynesian costumes that were near the show venue.

The male guide kept the atmosphere lively on the bus (all in English). I didn't understand everything, but it was bright and fun. When we arrived at the location, we received a mai tai and a shell lei, and we took some great commemorative photos. They were selling them for $15 on the way back. Before the show started, we experienced activities like spear throwing, a bowling-like game with stones and wood, and canoeing. Everything was free. There were also people making leis. The sunset was magnificent, and while I was taking photos, the show began with the sound of a conch shell. The show started on the beach and then moved to a circular stage. This show is so wonderful that you shouldn't miss it... We moved to the table for the final meal and watched the show while enjoying a buffet. It was truly amazing and very satisfying. The return bus ride was also fun, making us feel like we were in America. Both of us were still thrilled even after we got back to the hotel.

I was quite disappointed that the venue was on the rooftop of a building. The ones I've attended before were all near the ocean, which created a much better atmosphere and was very pleasant. It may vary from person to person, but for me, being on the rooftop just didn't quite do it. I don't think I'll participate again next time.
The food was average. They also had options for children, which I think is great for those with little ones.
