I participated in whale watching with Star of Honolulu. The large vessel provided excellent stability. The whales did not breach as much as shown in the promotional videos, and I regret having set my expectations too high. It's difficult to meet expectations when dealing with nature.

大きい船体で安定感抜群でした。
クジラの姿は資料映像ほど跳ね上がることがなく、期待しすぎていたと反省です。自然相手ではなかなか期待通りにはいかないものです。

I could clearly see the back of a whale. The weather was nice, and the largest boat in Hawaii was comfortable with little rocking. I recommend bringing a jacket as the air conditioning is quite strong.

天気もよく、ハワイで一番大きな船てゆれもすくなく快適でした。
冷房が大変きいているので上着を持って行くことをお勧めします。

I only saw the whales twice, and they were quite far away. I was hoping to see them up closer, so I was a bit disappointed. But since it's a natural occurrence, it can't be helped. However, the view of Waikiki from the sea was quite impressive, and I was satisfied.

くじらは、２回、遠くに見えた程度でした。もっと、近くで見えるかと思っていたので、すこし残念でした。自然のものなので、しょうがないですね。でも、海からのワイキキの景観は、なかなかのもので、満足しました。

The morning whale watching cruise was excellent! The weather was perfect and the crew were friendly and informative. Before taking off we learned a few facts about whales and were able to purchase a snack from the snack bar. The cruise itself was magnificent and we saw several whales. It was such a a delight! I'd also like to mention that the restrooms on board the boat were extremely clean (When on a tour this isn't something you always encounter). My friend and I had a splendid time. We would not hesitate to take this cruise again. The one thing everyone should be aware of though is the parking fee. The boat does not valid and parking in the adjacent lot was a bit pricey.

From the easy pick up from our hotel, drive to ship, on the whale watching adventure to return trip, we had a great time.

We participated in a plan with transportation for a total of four people, including a 3-year-old and a 0-year-old. The hotel we stayed at was not the designated pickup location, but a nearby hotel was specified for the pickup based on our application. We brought a stroller of the buggy type, and it was transported and used without any issues.

We were lucky to see whales multiple times. On the deck, we enjoyed the breeze, and even from the indoor area with tables and chairs, we could sit and watch the whales, allowing us to see them from either environment. The 3-year-old was entertained throughout the experience.

The explanations and announcements (such as the direction of the whales) were in English. Although the kids did not get seasick, I thought it would have been nice to have the option for my husband to take motion sickness medication since he experienced seasickness.

3歳、0歳を連れた計4人で送迎付きのプランで参加をしました。
私たちの宿泊したホテルは送迎ピックアップの場所ではなかったのですが、申し込み内容と合わせてピックアップ場所（最寄りのホテル）が指定されました。バギータイプのベビーカーを持参しましたが、問題なく運搬し利用できました。
私たちは運が良くクジラを何度も見ることができました。デッキ上は風を感じながら楽しめ、テーブル椅子がある室内からでも座りながらクジラが見れたりと、環境に合わせてどちらからでもクジラが見れます。3歳の子も最後まで飽きずに楽しんでいました。
説明やアナウンス（クジラのいる方向など）は英語です。
子供達は船酔いしなかったものの、旦那が船酔いをしていたため、酔い止めを飲む選択もあったら良かったかなと思いました。

We had a great time. We saw dolphins, turtles, and a mom and baby humpback whale. The baby was breaching over and over; incredible to watch! The crew was funny and informative and helpful. It was a really enjoyable experience!

The day before the experience, it was raining heavily, so I was worried about the weather, but those worries were unnecessary as it turned out to be a clear day. The waves were not high, and I was able to participate with a calm mind. However, on the day we participated, no whales appeared... I was disappointed since we joined to see whales, but it was my first time cruising on a boat in Hawaii, and as I was taking in the scenery, I realized that we were approaching the goal before I knew it! After the experience, tickets for a return trip on the boat were distributed! I would love to participate again if the opportunity arises.

体験前日、大雨が降っていたため、天候の心配をしておりましたが、そんな心配は無用で快晴でした。波も高くなく、落ち着いた気持ちで参加することができました。ですが、私たちが参加した日は、クジラが現れず…
クジラを見に参加したので残念でしたが、ハワイで船に乗ってクルーズする経験が初めてで、景色をじっくりと見ていたら、いつのまにかゴールが近づいていました！
体験後、後日船に再乗船できるチケットを配布しておりました！
また機会があればぜひ参加したいと思っています。

We did not see any whales after going twice on the trip but nonetheless the staff was very helpful, encouraging, and fun! Just a bit of bad luck with the whales! The cruise was easy and there was plenty of space on the ship. At the end of the day, it was a lovely whaleless cruise along the coast which was relaxing and enjoyable.

The breeze was pleasant, and it was a very enjoyable cruise! The captain spotted a whale and chased after it several times. From a distance, we could see the spray and the tail!
At one point, the boat stopped, and those who wanted to swim went into the water. We didn't swim because we thought it might get cold after getting out of the sea.
Indeed, during this time of year, it gets chilly after sunset. I was glad I brought a long-sleeved jacket.
Also, the night view of Waikiki was very beautiful!
I would love to join again if I have the opportunity.

風が気持ち良く、とても楽しいクルーズでした！キャプテンがくじらを発見し、何度も追いかけてくれました。遠くからですが、しぶきと尾ひれが見えました！
途中で船を停めてくれて、海に入りたい人は泳いでいました。私たちは海から出た後、寒くなりそうだったので、泳ぎませんでした。
やはり、この時期は、日が沈んでからは、肌寒くなってきました。長袖の上着を持ってきていて良かったと思いました。
そして、ワイキキの夜景がとても綺麗でした！
また機会があれば参加したいです。

The food and atmosphere were great. I chose the 5-star option to watch the Hilton fireworks from the deck on Friday, but people from the lower floor started removing the chain from the stairs and crowded onto the deck before the fireworks started. After quite some time, the staff began to check if people were 5-star guests, but I thought it was too late.

お料理も雰囲気も良かったです。金曜日でデッキからヒルトンの花火を見るために5スターにしたのですが、花火の時間前から下のフロアーの人が、階段のチェーンを外しデッキに入ってくて混雑。
だいぶ経ってからスタッフが５スターかどうか確認を始めましたが遅いかと思います。

I was disappointed that I couldn't see any whales, but I enjoyed the beautiful scenery without any waves. Next time, I will sign up for a Japanese tour!

I was wondering if I would be able to see anything in December, but I boarded the boat with a little hope. The cheerful and polite staff welcomed us warmly. Despite the strong sea breeze, they called out to each group of passengers and took photos one after another. I got to see the whale I had been longing for and the spouting water. I am grateful to the staff who anchored the boat in the sea and waited patiently. The vast blue ocean stretched out as far as the eye could see. I hope to ride this boat again someday for whale watching. By then, I’m sure I’ll be able to meet the whales…

12月ではまだ見れないかな？と思いながら、少しだけ期待もして搭乗した船。
陽気で丁寧な応対のお兄さん達。
強い海風に煽られながらも、グループ毎の乗客に声をかけて、次々に写真を撮ってくれた。
会いたかったくじら。見たかった汐吹。
海上で船を停泊させて粘ってくれた、お兄さん達に、感謝。青い大海原がずっと先まで見渡せた。
いつかまたフォーエルウォッチングをしにこの船に乗ろう。その時は、きっと、くじらに合えるように…

We participated in whale watching for the first time as a parent and child. We were very moved to see two whales! We were able to witness breaching, which we had only seen on TV, right in front of us multiple times! I think there must be some timing involved, but it felt like we were quite lucky on the day we participated. My 6-year-old was captivated by the whales they saw for the first time. We created wonderful memories in Hawaii.

テレビでしか見たことのないブリーチングも目の前で何度も見れました！
きっとタイミングなどあると思いますが私達が参加した日はかなりラッキーだったような気がします^_^
6歳の子供も初めて見るくじらに釘付けでした。
ハワイのとてもいい思い出ができました。

I was looking forward to participating since they were confident about whale watching. They mentioned that if we didn't see any whales, we would receive a free pass for the next time. The explanations were easy to understand, and they said that humpback whales come up to breathe every 45 minutes. We saw over 30 whales swimming around, but they were hard to spot. Just when I was about to give up, suddenly they appeared! The first one was a baby, and the second was an adult whale, posing beautifully with Diamond Head in the background! It was an incredibly satisfying tour. It might be a good idea to have some motion sickness medication on hand.

ホエールウォッチングに自信ありとのことでしたので、楽しみにして参加しました。万一見られなかった場合でも次回無料パスを頂けるとのこと。説明もわかりやすく、ザトウクジラは45分に1回海上に呼吸をしにくるとのことで、30以上回遊してましたが、中々現れず。今日はもう駄目かと諦めかけた瞬間、その時は突然やってきました。1頭目はベイビー、2頭目は大人のクジラで、ダイヤモンドモンドヘッドをバックにハイポーズ❣️
大大満足のツアーでした。船酔いの薬があった方が良いかも知れませんねー

The private cruise for our family of ten was comfortable. First, we spotted a sea turtle in the bay! After that, when we went out to sea, a pod of dolphins came right around the boat, and we were able to see them up close. Then we headed out to search for whales and were able to see them as well, which was amazing.

While moving to the snorkeling spot, we enjoyed some snacks, making for a pleasant cruising experience. I thought it would have been good to bring a change of clothes since there was a restroom at the dock where we could change.

家族10人での貸し切りクルーズで快適でした。まずは入り江でウミガメを発見！その後海に出ると、イルカの群れが船の周りにまで来てくれて、たっぷり見ることができました。その後クジラを探しに沖まででて、クジラも見ることができ最高でした。
シュノーケリングのポイントまで移動する間にスナックもいただいて快適なクルージングでした。
船着き場にトイレがあり着替えもそこでできたようなので着替えを持っていけば良かったと思いました。

Sadly due to traffic I missed the boat by a minute I had checked how long it would take to get there when planning my leave time and I was quoted 45 every time when I was staying only 25 miles away however traffic was crazy and it ended up being an hour and a half drive we pulled into parking at exactly 1745 and the boat was pulling out as I was running to it. Gave a rating of Good because the boat left exactly on time and if I had been on board that would have been great

The sunset was amazing, but the captain's talk was also fantastic and really lively. It became a wonderful memory, and I'm glad I participated. Also, the purple sweet potato burger was very delicious. Which shop was it from? Thank you very much.

With anticipation, I set sail, feeling the pleasant breeze and gazing at the coastline of Waikiki Beach. However, as time went by, my feelings became complicated with disappointment and sadness about not being able to see much. But when the boat finally reached the point where dolphins gather, everyone started taking pictures, and somehow that helped distract me a little.

As for my thoughts, I felt that we needed to go a bit further out to see more. Also, since the boat rocked quite a bit, I thought medication would be necessary.

期待を持ちながら、出航し気持ちいい風を感じながら、ワイキキビーチの海岸を眺め、海を見つめていましたが、時間がどんどん経つにつれ、段々見れないことに気持ちが、落ち込むことと、残念に思うことに複雑になってきましたが、最後イルカの集まるポイント！？に船が着くとみんな写真をパシャパシャと、何となくそれで少し、気がまぎれたようなかんじになりました！？
感想としては、もう少し沖に出ないと、見れるものも見れないのではと思った。
また、船が、だいぶ揺れるので、薬は必要と思った。

The bus was supposed to arrive at 7:35, but it was about 10 minutes late. The Japanese people around me were quite anxious about the time. After confirming names, we received stickers to wear during the tour and set off. It took about 15 minutes to reach where the boat was docked. We boarded a large boat and waited for all the other tour participants to get on (we waited for about 30 minutes).

Both on the boat and in the bus, the air conditioning was extremely strong, making it quite cold, so I recommend bringing a jacket. It was warm when the sun was out, but since I tend to get cold easily, wearing Uniqlo's Ultra Light Down was just right for me. The boat was large, so I didn't feel much rocking.

There are bagels and drinks available for purchase on the boat, so you can have breakfast there, but it's more expensive compared to the ABC store (the drinks were about $4, if I remember correctly).

As for the whales, they surfaced a few times, but whether due to regulations or the size of the boat, we didn't get very close and mostly viewed them from a distance. During the ride, there were announcements in English (no Japanese) explaining about the marine life in Hawaii and the whales. Although we could only see the whales from afar, we were still able to enjoy the beautiful sea and Diamond Head, so I think it was a good value for the experience!

7:35に迎えが来る予定のはずでしたが、10分程度遅れてバスが到着。
時間に厳しい周りの日本人はそわそわしてました。
名前を確認し、ツアー中貼っておくシールをもらって出発。
船が停泊しているあたりまでは、約15分。大きな船に乗船し、他のツアー参加者が全員乗船するまで待ちます。（30分間くらい待った。）

船の上もですが、バスの中もACが強烈に効いていて激さむなので、
上着を持っていくことをおすすめします。
陽が当たる時は暖かいですが、わたしは寒がりなので、
ユニクロのウルトラライトダウンを着ててちょうど良かったかも。
船が大きいので、わたしはあまり揺れも感じませんでした。

船の中にはベーグルやドリンクも売ってるので、船の中で朝食は取れますが、ABC storeに比べると割高です（ドリンクはたしか$4だった）

肝心のくじらはというと、何回か海上の表面に現れましたが、規程があるのか、船が大きいからか、あまり近くには寄らず、だいぶ遠目から眺める感じでした。
乗船中は英語（日本語なし）でハワイの海洋生物の保護、くじらのことなど、アナウンス形式で説明してくれます。くじらは遠目にしか見れませんが、それでも綺麗な海やダイアモンドヘッドが見られたので、コスパは良いほうなのではと思います！

Unfortunately, we couldn't see any whales, but we were able to enjoy detailed explanations on board. They kindly answered our questions as well.

I am a wheelchair user, but I had no problems using the facilities. There is also a wheelchair-accessible restroom. Please be careful as it can be easy to get seasick when boarding the boat in a wheelchair. You can also purchase drinks and light snacks on board. Since it's an early morning trip, it might be a good idea to eat on the boat. In particular, the orange juice was delicious.

クジラは残念ながら見れませんでしたが、
船内で詳しい話を聞くことができ充分楽しめました。質問にも優しく答えてくれます。

車いすユーザーですが、全く問題なく利用できました。トイレも車いすようトイレがあります。車いすで船に乗ると酔いやすいので気をつけてください。
船内ではドリンクや軽食も購入できました。朝が早いので船内で食べるのも良いかもしれません。とくに、オレンジジュースはおいしかったです。

Unfortunately, we couldn't see any whales. On the boat, we were able to enjoy drinks and light snacks. It's early in the morning, but it might be nice to have breakfast on the boat.

The tour was conducted only in English, but even for us, who hardly speak any English, we managed just fine. It's not guaranteed that you'll definitely see whales, but they extended the time by about an hour beyond the scheduled time, and we were able to see them. I was really happy that they were so flexible.

Even though I had seen Waikiki from the ocean on TV, the actual scenery was amazing. Even if we hadn't seen any whales, it was a tour that left us completely satisfied! If I come to Hawaii during the whale watching season again, I will definitely want to join this tour.

ツアー自体は英語のみの案内なのですが、英語がほとんどできない私達でもなんとかなりました。
クジラは必ず見えるとはもちろん確定されていません。ただ、予定していた時刻より1h時間ほど延長してくださり無事に見ることができました。ここまで融通を効かせてくださることも本当に嬉しかったですし
沖から見るワイキキはテレビで見たことがあっても実際の風景は素晴らしく、仮にクジラが見えなかったとしても十分満足ができるツアーでした！
またホエールウォッチングができる時期にハワイに来たら必ず参加したいツアーです。

Previously, I went on an evening cruise, but this time it was a countdown cruise. There was already a long line at the Hyatt Regency well before the scheduled time. About 50% of the attendees were Japanese. I wonder if the countdown in Hawaii is exaggerated quite a bit in Japan. The fireworks launched from the distant Honolulu side were, well, just ordinary.

I'm glad I chose a window seat; if it weren't for the private seating, the atmosphere could be affected by fellow passengers. Since you can't see the fireworks from your seat, it's better to move to the edge of the boat early.

以前は夕方クルーズ、今回はカウントダウンクルーズ。ハイアットリージェンシーには、時間前に既に長蛇の列だった。日本人が5割位。ハワイのカウントダウンはかなり日本でな誇張して伝わっているのだろうか。かなり遠方となるホノルル岸側であがる花火は、まぁ普通だった。
窓際席にして良かった、プライベート席じゃないと同席者によっては雰囲気左右されるだろう。席からは花火は見れないので早めに船縁に移動した方が良い。

My friends and I had a blast on the Ke Kai Waikiki sunset cocktail cruise, and seriously can't wait till we can go again!

The boat's brand spanking new and seriously comfy, and the drinks? Tasty and on tap! Props to the crew for keeping the glasses full and snapping awesome pics. Heads up, though, the nets mean splashes if you're cruising to Diamond Head. I got totally soaked, but it was part of the fun!

Sunset views? 10/10. Oh, and don't forget to wear sandals or flip-flops since you have to take off your shoes and walk through water to get on board the boat :)

Hella chill vibe, perfect sunset, and a splashy adventure, and I totally recommend it!

Everything was great. The hosts of the boat were all very personable and very friendly with a good sense of humor! Their mai tais were GREAT, I don't care for mai tais because of the dark rum but they do theirs differently and i loved their drinks. Very calming, good music and great drinks. I would definitely do this again

The fireworks at the Hilton on Friday lasted about 10 minutes. The Mai Tai cruise offered unlimited cocktails, and I had three cocktails, but they made them without a hint of annoyance. The night view was great, and since it was the end of the year, it was a bit cold, so you might need long sleeves.

金曜日ヒルトンの花火は10分くらいで終わりました。マイタイ号はカクテル等飲み放題でわたくしはカクテル3杯飲みましたが、嫌な顔ひとつせず作ってくれました。
夜景がいいのはもちろん年末だったので、少し寒いので、長袖は要るかも。
