Understanding the boats cannot come closer than 100 yards, outs seemed to stay 200-300 yards away. Unless you have a telephoto lens, just use your eyes and retain the memory because any other camera, including phones and GoPros, will just show the whales as a small blip.

My parents in their 70s participated (I had to act separately because I have children). The weather was nice, and it seems they had a wonderful cruise. They were able to see plenty of whales and got a close view of Diamond Head.

Since it's an early morning tour, it can be tough, but you can make good use of the afternoon, so I recommend the morning tour. Even my parents, who are in their 70s and have no English skills at all, enjoyed participating. If you're considering optional tours for a three-generation trip, definitely think about this tour. It will surely create wonderful memories.

天気も良く素晴らしいクルーズになったようです。
クジラも十分に見ることができ、ダイヤモンドヘッドも間近に見れたそうです。

朝早いツアーなので大変ですが、午後からの時間を有効に使えるので午前のツアーがオススメです。
70代の英語が全くだめな両親でも楽しく参加できました。
もし三世代旅行のオプショナルツアーに迷っていたらぜひこのツアーを検討してみてください。きっと素晴らしい思い出になること間違いなしです。

I would highly recommend this tour. It was very fun, staff were all amazing and we got amazing photos and views of Honolulu. Great short trip (a few hours). We got to see a school of dolphins swimming along the boat which was also amazing.

The seats you are guided to when you board the ship are just for the initial explanation, so don't worry if your seat doesn't have a view of the sea. After the explanation, you can freely go out to the deck. Since the wind can be cold, I recommend bringing something to wear. I was able to see the whales jumping clearly. I also saw swimming sea turtles. Everything was explained in English.

海が見えない席でも安心してください。
説明終了後に自由にデッキに出られます。
風が冷たいので羽織るものを持参されると良いと思います。
くじらのジャンプをしっかり見ることができました。
泳いでいるウミガメも見れました。
すべて英語の説明でした。

The crew was nice and competent. But, two groups of early 20's drove the music played by the Captain. Frankly, I didn't take the sunset cruise to listen to music with F- Bombs and MF.

It was great to see the humpback whales swimming right in front of us multiple times and to witness them spouting water. My children and my mother-in-law were also delighted.

Since it was a live event, I was worried about various risks such as weather and the possibility of not seeing the animals, but everything turned out perfectly. Additionally, making leis at the craft event, where the whole family created the same lei to take home, became a wonderful memory.

Next time, I would like to come with my own parents.

ザトウクジラの泳ぐ姿が何度も目の前で見られたり、潮を吹くのを見れ、子供も帯同した義母も喜んでもらえ、よかったです。
ナマモノなイベントだけに、天候リスク、動物が出てこないリスクなどをいろいろと心配しながらも、すべてがパーフェクトにでき、かつ民芸イベントでのレイ作りは、家族みんなで同じレイを作り、持って帰れ、良い思い出になりました。

次回は、自分の両親と来たいな、と思います。

The space was spacious and very comfortable. We were guided to a designated table on the first floor for a buffet dinner before departure. After the meal, we relaxed in the lounge on the second floor while enjoying a leisurely sunset cruise. Off the coast of Waikiki, we enjoyed taking photos on the deck. Although it was a new ship, it wasn't overcrowded, so we could relax elegantly.

一階の指定されたテーブルに案内され、出港前にビュフェディナー。食後は二階のラウンジにてくつろぎながらサンセットクルーズをゆたりと楽しむ。
ワイキキの沖ではデッキに出て写真撮影を楽しんだ。新しい船だが多人数が乗船するのでないから

This is the second time we have had an excursion with these guys, last Sept 2016 we did the Sunset one ( sensational !!) This time the fireworks and had the best night. can't wait to come back next year and do it again !!!

I didn't have high expectations for the food, but it was delicious. The fireworks were beautiful, but what left the biggest impression on me was when a whale jumped right next to the boat. I enjoyed both the dinner cruise and whale watching.

We had a wonderful sail, and said we could have done it every night of our trip! Unlimited MaiTai's, friendly crew and crowd, it was the perfect way to start the evening! So beautiful and relaxing!

I was a bit worried about taking my 83-year-old sister-in-law on the cruise, but it was really enjoyable. The night view of Waikiki, the fireworks, and the sailing were all very pleasant. While some other catamarans weren't sailing, the captain was great, and I was truly satisfied. When boarding, your feet can get wet, so it might be helpful to bring a towel and find a way to warm your feet. My sister-in-law put her feet in a plastic bag.

83歳の義姉を連れてのクルージングちょっと心配だったのですが楽しかったです。
ワイキキの夜景、花火、セーリングとても気持ちよかったです。他のカタマランはセーリングをしていない船もありましたがキャプテンが良い方で本当に大満足です。乗るときに足がぬれますので、タオル、足を温める工夫が必要かも。義姉はビニール袋に足を入れておりました。

Watching the fireworks from the yacht became a wonderful memory! The night view of Waikiki was beautiful, and everyone was kind! I read reviews that mentioned discrimination against Japanese people, but that was absolutely not the case; they even gave us beer!!

ヨットからみる花火はすごく素敵な思い出になりましたー！ワイキキの夜景もキレイだったし、、みなさんが親切でした！口コミでは日本人を差別するみたいなこと書かれてましたがまったくそんなことは無くビールくれました！！

We got so lucky, getting to see a few different pods of whales! The boat was about 50 feet away, so the views of the whales (including Waikiki and Diamond Head as the backdrop) were spectacular!
The lunch buffet was excellent. Plenty of yummy options to choose from.
After lunch, activities were set up - lei making, plus ukulele and hula lessons. The cruise was a great way to spend the day!

I didn't know that winter whales come around the Big Island until I went there. I really wanted to see them, so I quickly signed up for a tour after arriving and participated with my family. I had two concerns: getting to the boarding area from the hotel and seasickness, but thanks to this tour, I managed to get through it safely. When traveling to an unfamiliar destination, even if you know the port's name, you can be troubled by not knowing the distance from the hotel or the means of transportation, but it was a great decision to have them pick us up at the hotel! Additionally, the boat was luxurious and hardly swayed, so I didn't experience the seasickness I was worried about. On top of that, I was able to see dolphins and whales, which was wonderful!

ハワイ島に行くまで冬期くじらがハワイ島周辺に来ていることを知らなかった。
是非見てみたいと思い、現地に行ってから急きょ申し込みをし、家族で参加した。
ホテルから乗船場までの足と船酔いの二つの懸念があったがこのツアーのお陰で無事乗り切れた。
慣れない旅行先では港の地名を知っても、ホテルからの距離や交通手段もわからずこまるがホテルでピックアップしてもらえたので正解!! また船は豪華船でほとんど揺れもなく心配した船酔いもなかった。
その上で、いるかやクジラも見ることができたのでよかった!

Basically, if you can speak English and enjoy drinking, you'll have a great time. We were also able to see whales, which I think is a fantastic deal. At first, I was cautious thinking I might get seasick, but I was strongly encouraged with, "You're on the Mai Tai boat, so why aren't you drinking a Mai Tai?!" and after that, it was a big party!

基本的に英語が喋れて、飲める人は、すごく楽しめます。私たちは、クジラを見ることも出来ましたし、凄くお得と思います。最初、船酔いするかもと用心していたら、「マイタイ号に乗ってて、なんでマイタイ飲まないんだ！」とガンガン勧められて、あとはどんちゃん騒ぎでした！

I was torn between choosing a dinner cruise or something else, but I made the right choice with this one as it offered the most beautiful sunset. The staff were all friendly and kind, and I was able to enjoy a lively cruising experience.

ディナークルーズにするか、悩んでこちらを選んだのですが、最高に美しい夕暮れでこちらを選んで正解でした╰(*´︶`*)╯♡スタッフもみんなフレンドリーで優しくてノリノリなクルージングを楽しむことができました。

This is my second winter in Hawaii, and I have always wanted to go whale watching. After some deliberation, I chose a tour that included breakfast. We had our meal as soon as we boarded. I felt like I could have used more vegetables in the meal.

After eating, we waited on the deck for the whales to appear. The view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea was beautiful! This was my first time seeing it. I was excited, holding my camera and gazing at the ocean.

When the captain announced, "I have good news," everyone hurried to the indicated direction… the boat tilted! But I kept looking at the surface of the water. I was expecting to see a dynamic adult whale, so I was a bit disappointed by the cute little whale's spout and tail, but we definitely saw it. I wanted to see more, but it was time to head back to the port. I know I can't expect to see a magnificent sight on a one-time cruise, so I would like to join another opportunity next time.

I opted for the pickup service, but I didn't really need it. They arrived very early, and we left our hotel right away, but we were made to wait a long time at the next hotel, and the air conditioning in the car was too cold. I thought it would have been better to take a taxi.

The tour was conducted entirely in English, but the crew was kind, and even though I only understood a few words, I still enjoyed it.

冬のハワイは2度目ですが、
以前から ホエールウォッチングには行ってみたいと思っていました。
悩んで 朝食付きのツアーに。乗船してすぐ食事。食事の内容は 野菜が欲しかったなぁという感想。
食後、デッキで 鯨が現れるのを待ちます。
海から見るワイキキの街、ダイヤモンドヘッドの美しいこと！ これは素晴らしい。初めて見ました。
わくわくしながら、カメラを持って海を眺める。
キャプテンの「いい知らせです」というアナウンス、みな慌てて 指示された方向へ移動… 船が傾いてる‼ でも、海面を眺めます。
ダイナミックな大人クジラの姿を期待していたので、ちびっこクジラのかわいい潮吹きと シッポには ちょっとガッカリでしたが、間違いなく見えました。
もっと見ていたかったけど、時間がきて 港へ引き上げ。一度っきりのクルーズで、写真集のような立派な姿が見られるわけないし、また 次のチャンスに参加してみたいと思います。

送迎付きにしましたが、送迎はいらないです。
すごく早く迎えに来られて、私たちのホテルは すぐに出発したのですが、次のホテルで散々待たされ、車内のエアコンは効きすぎていて寒かったのです。あれなら、タクシーで行ったほうが良かったなぁーと思いました。
ツアーは 送迎から全て英語の案内のみでしたが、クルーは親切で 単語しかわからない私でも楽しめました。

これからも 楽しいツアーを企画してください。

Great food, great entertainment, so much fun! Highly recommend! So romantic and even better with the fireworks. So happy I did this for my husband and I.

We encountered a whale right after departing! I was surprised to see it so close to the shore. It wasn't exactly "right in front of us," but while enjoying the view of the sea from Honolulu and taking a leisurely cruise, we occasionally heard announcements from the captain. When we looked in the direction of the announcements, there was a whale! We had a wonderful time.

出港してすぐにクジラと遭遇！
あんなに岸から近くに居るなんてびっくりでした。
決して「目の前で！」って訳ではありませんが、
ホノルルの海からの景色を楽しみながら、
ゆっくりしたクルーズを楽しみつつ、
時々船長のアナウンスが入って、
アナウンスのあった方向を見ると、クジラが！
楽しい時間を過ごせました。

The weather was perfect, with a blue sea and blue sky, making it an ideal location. I was able to experience a slightly glamorous atmosphere in my dream destination, Hawaii.

The reception was a bit confusing. When I asked someone sitting under a sunshade if this was the right place, they said it was fine, but boarding was actually from in front of the Halekulani hotel, which is right next to the meeting point hotel.

Since there was no announcement to move, I had no choice but to follow the people who started walking, which made me anxious about whether I was in the right place. Because of this, I give it four stars.

Before boarding, the staff instructed us to take photos, so everyone ended up taking them. At the end, there was a photo sale, but you can skip that without any issue.

When boarding, they recommended taking off sandals since we would be entering the water a bit. If the sandals were sandy, the crew would wash them in a bucket before handing them back.

Drinks were served on the boat, but all the explanations were in English. Some Japanese guests seemed hesitant and didn't take the drinks. I think it's fine to ask if you don't understand.

I was surprised when they stopped the boat offshore and said we could swim. Foreign guests quickly changed into swimsuits and jumped into the sea. It looked so refreshing that I wanted to give it a try.

Inside the boat, American music was playing loudly, and the cheerful crew kept the atmosphere lively. Although the boarding time was short, it was just right for enjoying the view of Waikiki from the sea.

天気に恵まれ、青い海に青い空、と絶好のロケーション。憧れのハワイでちょっとセレブな雰囲気を味わえました。

受付がわかりにくく、日除けのパラソルの下に座っている人に声をかけるとここでいい、と言われたのですが、乗船は集合場所のホテルのひとつ隣のハレクラニの前からでした。

移動するようにと声がかかるわけではなかったので、先に待っている人が歩き出すのに付いていくしかなく、これでいいのかと不安になりました。その分☆４つです。

乗船前に写真撮影をするようにとスタッフが指示するので断れなくみんな撮ってました。最後に写真の販売があったのですが、これはスルーすれば大丈夫です。

乗船時にちょっと海に入るのでサンダルも脱ぐようにと勧められます。砂だらけのサンダルだとクルーがじゃぶじゃぶとバケツでサンダルを洗ってから渡してくれました。

船の中ではドリンクが配られるのですが、説明はすべて英語です。日本人でわからない人は遠慮してるのかドリンクを受け取らない人もいました。わからなければ聞けばいいと思います。

沖合でいったん船をとめ、泳いでいいよと声がかかったのには驚きました。外国人の方たちは、次々と水着になって海へ入っていきます。気持ちよさそうなので、チャレンジしたかったです。

船の中はアメリカンミュージックがガンガン流れ、陽気なクルーが盛り上げてくれました。短い乗船時間ですが、ワイキキを海から眺めるにはちょうどいいかな。

Since I was going during whale season, I made a last-minute reservation on a day when I had free time. I was worried because I heard that people who went two days prior didn't see any whales, but we saw plenty! When a whale appeared, they made it easy to understand by indicating the direction using the hands of a clock. We got to see whales swimming and jumping energetically, and I'm really glad I made the reservation. During the trip, we enjoyed views of Oahu from the sea, experiencing scenery that we usually can't see. We could depart leisurely in the morning, and even without breakfast included, we had plenty of fun on the water. I definitely want to participate again next year.

せっかくクジラの時期に行くのだからと予定が空いている日に直前の予約を入れました。
2日前にホエールウォッチングに参加した人は、見られなかったと聞いていたので、心配していましたが、たくさん見られました！
クジラが現れると分かりやすく、時計の針に例えて方角を教えてくれました。
泳いでいるクジラも、元気に跳ぶクジラも見れ、本当に予約してよかったと思います。
移動中は海からオアフを眺められ、普段見ることのできない風景を楽しみました。
朝はゆっくり出発できますし、海の上を楽しむために、朝食は付けなくても十分楽しめます。
来年もぜひ参加したいです。

On the morning of March 10th, I went with breakfast included. It was a buffet-style meal, and I thought I would take a little bit of everything like in Japan, but there was only one type of bread, one type of muffin, white rice, scrambled eggs, sausages, and cereal (laughs). The American in front of me piled the same food high on their plate, and I thought, "If you put that much on, you can't add more!" but it seems that was the right approach (laughs). I don't eat a lot in the morning, so it was fine, but I couldn't help but laugh at the limited variety ((´∀｀*)).

As for the main event, the whale just kept blowing water and showing its back a little, and I didn't even get to see the sea turtles that you always spot when you're out at sea... it left me feeling a bit disappointed. However, the view of Honolulu from the ocean was great ( ◠‿◠ ).

３月１０日午前中、朝食付きで行ってきました。
ブュッフェタイプの食事で、日本のつもりでちょっとずつ色々取ろう！と思ったら。パン一種、マフィン一種、白米、スクランブルエッグ、ウィンナー、シリアルだけでした(笑)私の前のアメリカ人が同じものを山盛りお皿に盛り、あんなに入れたら数乗せられないじゃない？と見てたけどアレが正解だった模様(笑)朝からモリモリは食べないから良いんだけど、種類の少なさに笑っちゃいました((´∀｀*))
メインの鯨は潮吹きと背中チラ見せを繰り返すだけで、海に出ると必ず見かけるウミガメも見れずう〜〜ん・・・な不発気分でした。海からのホノルルの眺めは良かったですよ( ◠‿◠ )

The weather on the day was decent. The day before, I had seen whales from the balcony of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, so I boarded the shuttle bus with high expectations.
We took a family photo when we boarded the boat (they will come around later to sell it for $20).
Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales, but the family was satisfied to see Diamond Head, which can't be seen from Waikiki Beach. The breakfast was also decent.

当日の天気はまずまず。前日にヒルトンハワイアンビレッジのホテルのバルコニーから、クジラが見えたことから『昨日見れたから期待大！』という気持ちで迎えのバスに乗り込みました。
船に乗船すふ時に家族で写真を撮ってもらいました。（後で20ドルで売りに来ます。）
結局、残念ながらクジラは見れませんでしたが、ワイキキビーチから見れないダイヤモンドヘッドを見れて家族は満足してくれました。朝食もまずまずの内容でした。

I went on the cruise when my parents visited from Japan in mid-February, but we didn't see any whales. However, when I went again with my husband at the beginning of March, they appeared frequently. So, is the probability 50%? I heard that the chances are better around February to March. Also, whales tend to be less active in the morning.

I debated whether to include breakfast or not, but since it was just a 2-hour early bird cruise, it didn't have a luxurious atmosphere, and breakfast wasn't necessary (I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but quite a few people brought snacks and drinks). The view from Waikiki to Diamond Head is fantastic. Therefore, my parents were quite satisfied even though they didn't see any whales. The kids seemed to get bored, which was a bit unfortunate.

I think it's best to consider the primary purpose of the cruise as enjoying the scenery, and if you happen to see whales, that's just a bonus.

2月半ばに両親が日本から遊びに来た時に乗りましたが、鯨は現れず、再乗船券をもらって3月頭に夫と乗ったときにはバンバン現れました。ですので確率は50%？
確率の高さとしては2月～3月頃が良いと聞きました。
あと朝は鯨があまり活動しないとか。。

朝食付きか無しで悩みましたが、たったの2時間のアーリーバードなので豪華クルーズという雰囲気もあまりなく、朝食無しで十分でした（良いのか悪いのか分かりませんが、結構みなさん、スナックや飲み物を持ち込んでいました）。ワイキキからダイアモンドヘッドにかけても眺めは素晴らしいです。ですので、両親も鯨が見れなくてもけっこう満足していました。お子さんたちは飽きてしまってかわいそうでしたけれど。
単に船に乗って景色が見れるのを第一目的として、鯨が見れたらめっけもん程度に考えて乗られたらよいと思います。

Was a great experience. Was extremely fun. Crew was very friendly, funny, and dedicated to giving a great experience. Definitely planning on repeating this.

I was able to see whales about four times, and it was really exciting!

However, since the captain's greetings and everything were in English, I was quite nervous (laughs). I think it would have been even more enjoyable if I could properly understand English. The food seemed delicious, but I couldn't handle the smell, so I couldn't participate in the cultural experience (^^;;)

クジラは4回くらい見ることができて、すごく盛り上がりました！

が、船長さんの挨拶や諸々が全て英語だったので、、結構緊張しました（笑）
ちゃんと英語がヒアリングできたらもっと楽しかっただろうなと思いました。
ご飯は美味しかったみたいですが、私は匂いがダメで・・文化体験も萎縮してしまって参加できませんでした(^^;;)

The rain and wind were strong, and unfortunately, the weather was not good. The captain announced that a whale had been spotted, but I couldn't see it at all. It's unfortunate, but there's nothing that can be done.

雨風共に強く、あいにくのお天気でした。キャプテンはクジラを発見したと放送がありましたが、まったくわかりませんでした。仕方ありませんが残念でした。

Wonderful experience. Yummy drinks and a lot of fun.

About 20 minutes after departure, we set sail with the sails up, and right after that, the captain shouted, "Wow, a whale!" Looking ahead, we saw a whale spouting water. The sunset was incredibly beautiful, and we had unlimited drinks including beer, Mai Tais, and soft drinks. The boat also had a proper restroom, which was reassuring. Plus, if you're lucky, you might get to see whales and dolphins like we did—it's a great and easy tour.

Just be careful as the explanations are all in English, and watch out for seasickness. But you can manage to catch the gist of the English through the atmosphere.

出航して20分ほど経ってから帆を張っての航行になるのですが、その直後キャプテンから「ワオ、ホエール！」と大きな声。前をよく見るとなんとクジラが潮吹きしているではありませんか。サンセットがとても美しかったのはもちろん、ビールやマイタイ、ソフトドリンクなどが飲み放題で、船にちゃんとトイレもあるので安心です しかも運が良ければ今回のようにクジラやイルカを見ることもできるお得で手軽なツアーです。
説明が全部英語なのと船酔いだけはお気をつけください。でも英語は雰囲気でなんとか聞き取れますよ。

I planned a trip to Hawaii during this season because I wanted to see whales. Believing that we would meet them, eight of us joined this option! We set off with excitement. However, the result was… disappointing. But still, I was gazing at the vast ocean the whole time on board, and it was a very pleasant cruise. We were lucky to have good weather. On the ship, my companion tried making a lei and got a lovely hair accessory. During lunch, while waiting in line, one of my companions got seasick, so I recommend taking motion sickness medication. We could also see the hotels in Waikiki from the sea, making it a fun cruise. Thank you to the crew!

クジラさんが見たくて、この時期にハワイへ行く計画を立てました。クジラに会えると信じて、8名でこのオプションに参加！ルンルンで出発です。でも、結果は…残念でした。でもでも、私は乗船中、ずっと大海原を眺めていたのですが、とても気持ちの良いクルーズができました。天気に恵まれたのはラッキーでした。船内では、ツレがレイ作りに挑戦し、素敵な髪飾りをゲットしていました。ランチは順番を立って待っている時、船酔いしたツレもいたので、酔い止めをお勧めします。ワイキキのホテル群も海側から見られ、楽しいクルーズになりました。クルーさんたち、ありがとうございました。
