Oahu
My husband and I spent the day at the Cultural Ctr. the day after Christmas. Our tour escort "Cousin Will" picked us up at our hotel and guided us through the various villages throughout the day. It was an educational day and a lot of fun as well. We learned so much about the different cultures, their language, their dance and their stories. The luau was fun and tasty. The Horizon's show was a spectacular finale of the day, the best show on the island of Oahu. I would recommend this experience for any first timers to the islands of Hawaii. And it's true that you can't see everything in one day. I wish we could have stayed longer. Enjoy!
What a fantastic all-day affair!! The frequent "say aloha" prompts from the tour guides was a bit much and got old, but the actual activity was a fabulous and impressive one. We hope to return to Hawaii someday and will repeat this one. Do be aware that they charge extra for a tour guide, but it is worth it for the first time.
I have been to this Center multiple times. And I will probably go back again some time. I continue to take friends and family to this Center as I find the educational value significant. I also enjoy the talents of the people and enjoy the food. This is a great place to visit.
My favorite part of the experience was seeing the Samoan fire dancer at the end of the evening show, "Horizons". It was a beautiful, exciting and fun performance! He was also doing a cooking demonstration earlier that day at the Samoan camp. He was funny, charming, and kept us smiling. You can tell that he really loves what he does. I also loved how everyone who worked at the park seemed excited to share their culture.
This is a wonderful place to visit -- enjoyed with our children and would make a repeat visit.
A fabulous time! We hired our guide, Mose, for $10 to take us on a tour. Couldn't have seen as much as we did without him! Need more than one day to do this attraction fully.
A sweet lady met us near our arrival gate, presented the leis, and offered to take a family picture.
Thanks!
For first time visitors to the island, the Lei Greeting at the airport is well worth the expense!
I felt that this was an outstanding value for the money. The whole experience was not only entertaining but educational as well.
The polynesian cultural center is pretty cool. Anybody visiting Hawaii for the first time should check it out.
it was great and one day is definitely not enough time to see and learn all that is at the Polynesian Cultural Center
My parents loved the personal touch and service.
As promised, your greeter was waiting for our plane and presented my wife with a beautiful Lei. Your greeter also had plenty of advice for us and even found a nice spot to take our picture with the ALOHA sign in the background. A great way to start our trip.
Thank you
Our guide was very poor.We didn't get to see anything. You need a full day to see everything before the luau. The luau was very poor. The evening show was the best part of the experience.
The leis were beautiful and it was a great beginning to start our vacation in Paradise!

The staff was waiting at the airport just as advertised and really made me and my gursts feel welcome to Hawaii!
I brought family and they are still talking about the lei greeting at the airport!
staff very friendly & helpful, great surprise for anyone.
We ordered our Lei Greeting on the internet to surprize our first timers when they arrived in Hawaii. They were shocked to see someone standing there with a sign with their names on it. They had no idea we had ordered them. The girl that greeted us was as sweet and pleasant as anyone could have been, she presented the Lei's beautifully and made sure everyone was happy. She also told us which baggage area we should pick up or baggage and told us how to get there. We could'nt have asked for a more perfect way to start our Hawaiin vacation.
Our Lei Greeter was precious! Friendly, bubbly, sweet! What a nice extra touch upon visiting Hawaii for the first time!
The lei greeting was fantastic. The Hawaiian greeter was waiting for us and the lei's were beautiful. The Hawaiian greeter was very friendly and very helpful. He helped us with the ordering of the limousine and he kept us company until the limousine arrived. We arrived at about 8:30pm and he stayed with us till about 9:30pm when the limousine arrived. He took our picture with the lei's and the limousine in behind us.This was above and beyond our expectations. This was our first time in Hawaii and he made us feel very welcome. Him staying with us was great. We were worried that we would be left deserted at the airport, and he made sure this didn't happen. The fellow was interesting and his conversation was welcome. The lei greeting was a very nice experience.
We had a wonderful time.
Thank you.
My family and I enjoyed our whole day in PCC. We manage to visit all the 7 tribes of polynesia thanks to our to guide. He was very courteos and very friendly specially to our little ones. The day went very smooth although the weather was hot and muggy. The food at the luau was good as well as the performances of the girls and cousin benny. It was a delightfull dinner indeed. After the luau, we had 1 hour free time to ourselves to visit the souviener shops and check our photos taken during the day. A bit expensive for an 8X10 picture but we bit the bullet for the sake of remembrance. The night show was splendid. They pretty much showed all the seven tribes altogether and made a fabuluos show. Hula dancers were good, they were great shaking their butts. Men were also good at what they do. They really played their part as a tribe warriors. They added a little humor which I thought was cool such as slipping down the floor and pretending to hurt their butt. The three men fire dancers remind
Time of airport lei greeting had to be rescheduled as flight was rescheduled en route! One phone call and helpful staff assured that the lei was delivered at new time and flight number. Recipients were ecstatic and impressed by the helpfuness of greeters. Mahalo.
Well we were expecting good lei's but when we arrived, the Lei's were even better than we thought. The only pitfall for this company is their lack of trying to get the right flight. We told them the right fight number three times and all three times they couldn't find it. The did get there at the end so it was good. The price is a little high for the Lei's but other than that, it was a good experience getting them as we arrived in Hawai'i
My husband and I had a gret time at the Polynesian Cultural center. The tour bus guide "Kemo" or Cousin K was very knowledgeble about the cultures, and land legends of Oahu. The tour bus ride was 1 hour 15 minutes from Waikiki, but it went by very quickly. He taught us how to speak Hawaiin properly, a few legends from the Windward side, as well as the local spots. Once in the center, we got to see all but 2 islands (very hard to do as the center is huge) and we went to many shows, the canoe ride, the lua, and the night show. It was a very long and hot day that ended in a huge rain shower, but it was so worth it and we do not regret spening the whole day there. Very educational!!
My wife and I celebrated our Honeymoon in Oahu, and choose to goto the Cultural Center for the day, including the luau and the show.
It was an amazing experience!
Each village was unique and the people were so friendly!
My only suggestion is to sell caffinated coffee and soda at the Center...since many people are there all day they will need a pick me up.
The worst part of the entire day was our bus driver to and from the Center...Loretta. She was boring, rude, and forgot we were on the bus.
Greeted by very nice staff, leis were well worth money. Received many compliments! We felt very special.
The young lady who met us at the airport was so very pleasant. I would have preferred to order a real flower lei but wanted something to keep as a remembrance of the experience so I opted for the silk lei. It was a great start to our visit to Hawaii. I loved every minute of it.
thought that the imax theater, while beautiful in technique, was political in nature and not needed. that was the only downside to our adventure.
