Staying at a large hotel right along the main street was fun and convenient, but I wanted to experience a quiet resort for at least a moment in the morning, so I participated. It was just as I expected. The calm and incredibly blue sea! I was moved, thinking, "This is Hawaii!" It was a moment that reaffirmed my belief that sailing is the best way to enjoy the ocean, more than just viewing it from the shore or swimming in it. If you go to Hawaii, definitely do this! The sunset is also beautiful.

Thinking we might get seasick, our whole family took motion sickness medication before boarding. It was me, my husband, our fifth-grade son, and our preschool daughter.

During the trip, when the boat rocked violently, the kids sat at the front, getting splashed with water alongside a foreign family’s children, and they all enjoyed themselves, screaming with excitement.

Even though we couldn't communicate verbally, the joy was universal. While some people looked green from seasickness, our family was very satisfied as we enjoyed the blue sea, the splashes of water, and the view of Waikiki from the ocean until the very end.

Time flew by in what felt like an instant.

The wind was strong, so the boat swayed more than I expected, and it felt like I was on a roller coaster! The scenery was also very beautiful, and it was a valuable experience. It was the best sailing experience, enjoying a Mai Tai in hand! Shortly after departure, we were able to see turtles swimming.

This time, I participated with my mother, but it seems like it would be perfectly fine to join alone as well. There were just under 40 people on board, with only two other groups of Japanese participants. Most of the attendees were not Japanese, which added to the overseas atmosphere and made it even more enjoyable. It's completely fine if you don't understand English. Before boarding, we took a group photo, which can be purchased for $20 after disembarking for those who wish to.

You do get quite wet when boarding and disembarking. Those at the front of the boat (the side where you get on and off) got splashed directly by the waves and were pretty soaked. The sun was strong on the boat, but once we set sail, the wind felt really nice. As long as you apply sunscreen properly, sunburn shouldn't be an issue.

The boat does sway quite a bit during the trip, so if you're prone to seasickness, it's definitely a good idea to take some motion sickness medication to ensure you can enjoy the experience. A few people were struggling with seasickness.

It was so much fun and felt great, so I would like to participate in the sunset sailing next time.

今回は母と2人で参加しましたが、1人でも問題なく参加できそうです。
乗船人数は40人弱で他の日本人参加者は2組。日本人じゃない方がほとんどなのも、海外に来ている雰囲気をより味わえて楽しいです。英語はわからなくても全く問題ないです。乗船前にグループごとに記念撮影をし、希望者は下船後に20ドルで購入できます。
船に乗り降りする時に結構濡れます。また船の前方(乗り降りする側)にいた人達は波が直接かかるのでかなり濡れていました。船上は日差しが強いですが、出航してしまえば風がとても気持ち良かったです。日焼け止めをしっかり塗っておけば日焼けも問題なかったです。
船は途中結構揺れるので、船酔いが気になる方は酔い止め薬を飲んでおいた方が確実に楽しめます。何人か船酔いに苦しんでました。
とても楽しくて気持ち良かったので、今度はサンセットセーリングにも参加したいと思います。

The weather was great, and the strong wind created the perfect conditions. However, the meeting point was very hard to find, and we wandered around the Sheraton multiple times. Among the participants, we were the only Japanese. The waves were high, and the strong wind splashed water on us, which felt refreshing. This was a three-generation trip with ages ranging from 6 to 69 years old. We boarded a catamaran and were very satisfied! The scenery was amazing, and we even saw sea turtles. There were restrooms available (though we didn't use them), which made us feel secure during the ride. Along the way, those in swimsuits could swim in the sea. ^_^

This was our second time on the cruise, as my child really enjoyed it the first time. The waves are bigger in winter, which might make it more fun with the rocking motion. For those who prefer a calm cruise, summer is recommended. Since you're out on the sea, you can get quite sunburned. I recommend taking extra precautions against sunburn, even more than when you're at the beach. We also saw turtles and dolphins, which excited both the adults and the kids.

This boat trip was amazing! The captain was extremely knowledgeable and even looked out for dolphins and whales for us! We werent able to see any dolphins, but we were able to see a whale. The day before, it was pouring rain, so I was worried about the weather, but it cleared up completely, which was great.

I participated with my 2-year-and-11-month-old son. At first, he was scared, but as he got used to it, he started exploring the inside of the boat and enjoyed sitting and lying down on the net at the front. We also encountered a pod of dolphins multiple times, and there were dolphins that showed off their jumps and spins, which made my son very excited! It was a satisfying cruise, not only because of the beautiful views of Diamond Head and the ocean from the boat but also for the chance to meet the dolphins.

It was the perfect day to go sailing. It was raining a lot for the past couple days so I was happy that the weather cleared up when we went. Sunny weather, relaxing Hawaiian music playing while sipping on Maitais. A wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

For the toilet, it is your standard boat toilet where you have to go down a ladder through a narrow tunnel to get to the toilet. Luckily, I didn't drink too much so I didn't have to use the bathroom during our 90-minute sail.

Overall, I had a great time and would love to go again!
