I’ve always wanted to go to a luau and this didn’t disappoint!! I enjoyed the food, the entertainment while we ate and the desert! My friend and I also got some hula lessons!! A huge highlight for me, I’ve always wanted to try hula dancing. After dinner we got to see the show, with performances from the 1940s up to the present! I especially liked the fire dancing. My friend and and I enjoyed this experience and I would say it was worth it! So if you’re like to have a luau experience with a rocking show, I would recommend trying this.

Highlight was the Polynesian show. Food was ok, deserts were good. Complimentary drinks were average. Purchased drinks were pricey. Overall, did not get to see much of a sunset by being busy with the food and the show. It felt more like sitting in a restaurant since the boat was moving slow and sturdy unless you come out to grab the food.

I didn't expect to line up for tickets on the day instead of making a reservation online. However, since I was able to go as planned, I am mostly satisfied.

Considering the timing, it was just right to have an 11 AM pickup with my 6 and 9-year-old children. The person in charge provided various explanations and guidance throughout the car ride. Other Japanese guests were using translation apps, but since I didn't use one, I only understood parts of the conversation. I wish I had downloaded the app. My children had a very enjoyable time and it seems to have left a lasting impression on them. They said they want to go see the fish again.

- Although we saw many fish in the shallow waters just a few meters from the beach, it wasn't very impressive.

Me and 3 friends came here and were blown away. The food was absolutely stunning and the entertainment was unreal. We travelled from New Zealand and were serenaded with a special maori (native language of NZ) song. The hospitality was just beautiful and the show was super fun!! This tour is a lot of fun as you can really feel like you're abroad, with all the other guests being foreigners. On the day of the tour, we were told it would be the best day ever, and when we arrived, we saw 5 to 6 turtles sleeping on the ocean floor, which was a sight I had never seen before. Of course, there were also many turtles swimming around, and during snorkeling, it was filled with turtles. I was surprised to see so many turtles in Waikiki.

After snorkeling, we enjoyed a cruise while listening to famous international songs, taking in views of Waikiki hotels and Diamond Head. We raised the sails and sped up, enjoying a leisurely time with a pleasant breeze.

Don't forget to bring tips!

The sunset finally began on the return trip, offering a different impression from the outbound journey. They mentioned unlimited drinks, but I didn't particularly like the taste of the free drinks and couldn't finish one. Beer and champagne are available for an additional charge. Occasionally, there were large waves, so the ship had its unique rocking motion. I saw someone who couldn't move due to seasickness, so I think it's better for those who are really sensitive to have motion sickness medication. In any case, I recommend it for those who want to enjoy a luxurious 90 minutes of doing nothing.

I returned home on a flight tomorrow afternoon, and I went there the night before. The location might be hard to understand just by reading about it, but there are clear video explanations on Instagram and other platforms, so checking in advance should help you navigate smoothly.

The food had a good balance of flavor and portion size (it's a buffet, so it's up to you). I mentioned that I have allergies regarding the welcome drink, and they kindly exchanged the Mai Tai for another soft drink.

The show likely resonates differently depending on your generation and preferences, so there might be moments that appeal to me and others that appeal to you. However, I enjoyed the entire show while maintaining the initial momentum.

Here are two pieces of advice for those who will be going:
(1) Check in a bit early. We arrived around 5:10 PM, and there were already quite a few guests seated. It gets crowded close to the deadline, and joining the buffet after the time has passed can feel like you're missing out.

(1)少し早めにチェックインする。我が家は17:10頃に行きましたが既に先客がそれなりに着席されていました。締切間際は混むのと、時間すぎてからビュッフェに参加するのは出遅れ感出てせっかくなのに残念です。
(2)お手洗いは食事の時間が終わる少し前までに済ませておく。
シアターへは突然かつ整然と移動することになり、着席後は離席もしにくいです(海外全般の話になるかと思いますが、後で行こうとは思わずに行ける時に行く、というのが基本)。

I participated in the 5 Star experience due to a campaign. After arriving at the venue, there were many people in line, but only the 5 Star passengers were allowed to board first. The smoothness of the process meant I didn’t get to see the welcoming hula dancer…

You can enjoy dinner in a special space on the top floor. At 5 Star, couples danced gracefully in front of us to soft jazz music, creating an overall adult atmosphere. When I looked down from above, I could hear lively sounds coming from the lower floors, so I think it’s best to choose according to your preference!

I struggled a bit with the language barrier, as I couldn’t communicate well in Japanese. Also, it swayed more than I expected, so I think it's essential for those who are prone to motion sickness to take anti-nausea medication! The food was delicious, and I was satisfied with the special night I had.

I'm glad I was able to enjoy food that can only be experienced in Hawaii. However, even though the meeting time was at 5:30 PM, we didn't start eating until around 6:15 to 6:30 PM, which was quite a wait. The food is delicious, so I recommend it for those who are patient.

It was great that the waiter communicated with us in Japanese.

The show was very entertaining, and we had good seats. The venue was cold, so it's better to bring a jacket. It was a great experience to see hula dancing from various generations. The performances, including those mimicking Elvis and Michael Jackson, got the audience excited, but for kids and younger generations like us, it wasn't very familiar, so we couldn't tell how similar they were. The kids were fast asleep. But it was really cool. I highly recommend it for people of that generation!

The disembarkation was scheduled for 7:45 PM, and I ordered a bottle of wine around 6:45 PM. However, no matter how many times I followed up with the butler, I was told the bar was crowded, and the wine did not arrive until 7:20 PM, just as dessert was being served. Since it was a screw-top wine, there was no need for uncorking; they just needed to bring it. The drinks that came with the meal also took about 15 minutes to be served after ordering. I recommend ordering drinks well in advance. For those who want to enjoy their meal with drinks, it was a stressful experience.

My parents and I had a great time. Loved that the performers were energetic. The food was great, especially the beef roast. Would go again and definitely recommend. Loved the ukelele performer, she sung a song for my parent's anniversary. It was a nice personal touch. Elvis and MJ impersonators were spot in and didn't try too hard. The fire performer was the cutest and was a nice surprise. I had the chance to learn a hula dance. Would recommend if you do not have a vip package to save your complimentary mai Tai to drink during dinner, lol I regretted not doing that. You do have the option to purchase more drinks though. I had virgin one and it was so tasty. The workers are polite and helpful. A great overall experience.

We had the best time with the Star of Honolulu. The captain was very welcoming, and the staff was first rate. Our restaurant wait person Tina, was very prompt in meeting our needs. She was friendly and efficient. The entertainment was excellent, and the food was tasty and plentiful. We sat next to a couple of other travelers and thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. A really fun trip that is great for groups of friends and families. I went with both, including a child and we all had fun! Beautiful views all around and plenty of good photo ops. You won’t be wearing shoes and will be walking through water so make sure you are wearing clothes you don’t mind getting wet! If you get sea sick just stay shoreside until the party is over :).

I signed up for this tour to express my gratitude to my mother during our trip to Hawaii, as a son from a mother-son family.

Even though we arrived just in time for the meeting, the staff kindly guided us, and we enjoyed a welcome drink of Mai Tai. The alcohol was strong, so it really hit me due to the jet lag, but from there, we enjoyed hula dancing, a buffet, and a show while feeling great.

The staff members who performed hula during the buffet danced tirelessly, which was impressive. One of the musicians played the ukulele and sang a Teresa Teng song after realizing we were Japanese. My mother even participated in the hula dance lesson and was moved throughout the experience.

I was very excited during the show since I personally love Michael Jackson, and the girl who sang the song from Moana gave me goosebumps with her singing ability. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

At first, I hesitated to sign up, but I'm glad I did. Thank you very much.

集合時間ギリギリに到着したにも関わらず、
スタッフの方々が心よく案内してくれ、
そこからウェルカムドリンクでマイタイ飲みました。
アルコールが強いので時差ボケの体にはすごく沁みましたが、そこからフラダンス、ビュッフェ、ショーと、とっても気持ちが良い気分のまま楽しめました。
特にビュッフェ中のフラダンスのスタッフの方々は、
ずっと連続で踊りっぱなしで心配になる程必死に踊ってくれたり、ウクレレを引いてくれる方は、
僕らが日本人と分かったあとテレサテンの歌を披露、
フラダンスのレッスンにも母が参加し、母は、終始感動してました。
ショーの方も私自身マイケルジャクソンが好きなのでとても興奮しましたし、
モアナの歌を歌ってくれた女の子の歌唱力にも鳥肌。
とても忘れられない体験となりました。
最初は申し込もうか悩みましたが、
観れてよかったです。
本当にありがとうございました。

During our 6-night, 8-day honeymoon in Hawaii, we used this service on our last night. I was really looking forward to experiencing the cruising in Hawaii (my wife said it was the part she was most excited about for our honeymoon). I will honestly share both the good and bad points I felt during the cruise.

Good points:
1. The food, including lobster and tenderloin, was truly delicious.
2. Each person received 2 drink tickets, which was great, especially with the yen's depreciation, allowing us to order drinks without hesitation.
3. The scenery was amazing. We could see Waikiki and Diamond Head, which we enjoyed, all from the sea.
4. The friendly crew members chatted with us while we were enjoying the view from the deck and even took photos for us.
5. The jazz performance, which is not something we usually get to hear, made the venue even more stylish and was perfect for the last night of our honeymoon.

Points that differed from expectations:
1. We had reserved a shuttle service, but on the day of the cruise, there was significant traffic due to another event, the Spam Jam Festival, causing us to arrive late and miss the welcome show, which was a hula dance.
2. Similarly, because of the late arrival, the optional commemorative photo was taken as soon as we sat down, and it was disappointing that the background was still the port.
3. Due to the late arrival, the course meal was served quickly, and we couldn't take our time enjoying the scenery on the boat.
→ To avoid issues 1-3, it seems that going to the port individually during events that might cause traffic could be a solution.
4. The cruise was scheduled to depart at 5:30 PM and return at 7:30 PM, but it actually departed at 5:45 PM and returned around 7:20 PM, which was disappointing. The jazz performance continued until the end after we returned!

6泊8日のハワイ新婚旅行の際、最後の夜に利用させていただきました。
ハワイでのクルージングでどんな体験ができるのか、とても楽しみにしていました。(妻は新婚旅行で1番楽しみと言ってくれていました)
そんな期待大で望んだクルージングで感じた良いことも悪いことも率直に記載します。

良かった点
1.ロブスターにテンダーロインなど料理が本当に美味しかったです。
2.ドリンクチケットが2枚/人あり、とくに円安の中だったので気兼ねなくドリンクを頼むことができました。
3.景色が最高です。自分たちが楽しんだワイキキやダイヤモンドヘッドなどが海から一望できます。
4.フレンドリーな船員さんがデッキで海を眺めていると話しかけてくれて、写真も撮ってくれました。
5.普段はなかなか聞く機会がないジャズ演奏があると会場がさらにお洒落で新婚旅行の最後の夜にぴったりでした。

予想と違った点
1.オプションで送迎を予約していましたが、当日はスパムジャムフェスという他のイベントで道がかなり渋滞しており、港着が遅れ、ウェルカムショーであるフラダンスを見ることができませんでした。
2.上記1.同様に送迎の港着が遅れたためなのか、オプションの記念写真が席に着いてすぐでした。背景が港のままなのが残念です。
3.上記1,2.同様に送迎の港着が遅れたため、コース料理がどんどん出てきて、船上で景色をゆっくり見ることができませんでした。
→イベント等で渋滞が起きそうな時は個人で港まで行くことで1〜3の問題が回避できそうです。
4.クルージングは17:30発〜19:30帰港の予定でしたが、実際には17:45〜19:20頃帰港と短くなっており残念でした。ジャズ演奏は帰港後も最後まで続いていました！

以上になります。
いろいろと記載しましたが、個人的にはまたハワイに行く機会があれば利用させていただきたいと思っています。
