The dinner and show were a great way to spend time in Hawaii, and I would do this one again! The food was tasty, plentiful, and offered more of a variety of choices than some of the other luaus I’ve attended on the island. Be sure to come hungry! I was thrilled that I could enjoy a welcome mai tai since they had a nonalcoholic option. I thought I was going to have to miss out, but they had me covered, and it didn’t taste like it was only pineapple juice. After the delicious dinner and fun fellowship with other guests, it was time for the show. The transition from the dining area to the show venue was smooth. The staff was so helpful. Shout out to Sheena!

Some of the performers in the show had also attended to us at the luau. It was awesome to see them in their element on stage. They were professional in both settings, and so talented on stage. I felt like I was watching friends perform. I knew the show was about Hawaii over time, but I was pleasantly surprised when “Elvis” came on stage and you also had to bolt me to my seat when “Michael Jackson” appeared. Both performers were believable! The fire dancer was lit! (Pun intended) and the energetic dancers and singers were top notch. Be sure to come with a camera to take lots of pictures with the flash off, of course! You will not be disappointed!

Elvis and Michael may still be famous in America, but in Japan, they might be considered nostalgic. Even as someone over sixty who loves Western music, I don't really know what Elvis sounds like when he's singing live, so I thought it might be a bit much for younger people. I believe that traditional hula dancing is more representative of Hawaii.

Even though I was in the front row, only a few people in the middle got to shake hands with the singer playing Elvis. When we were leaving, he quickly avoided us when we got close. Why is that?

I received two free drink tickets per person. I ordered a drink, but after waiting for many minutes because they were busy, they brought me something without any decorations like flowers. When I tried to use the second ticket, they refused me while speaking rapidly in English. I thought maybe it was already last call and was about to give up when they started taking orders from other guests. I pressed them on why they didn't take my order, but I couldn't understand what they were saying at all. I did receive the ticket, but in the end, they never brought me my drink. It might be due to a staff shortage after COVID, but I think they have the worst staff. Previously, when I participated in a countdown cruise with Five Star, the service was exceptional, but this time, instead of enjoying myself, I felt discriminated against and it made me sad.

The rock and hula show was amazing!
It was a very good performance!
It took a while to eat because we had to share a table with a large group.
No one was wearing masks. In fact, hardly anyone wears masks in Hawaii.
Since people are sitting very close together, I wouldn't recommend it for those who are concerned about infections.
It seems that there are not many people who are worried about it in Hawaii.
The food was just okay. The meat was very delicious.
A plan that includes just the hula show might be a good option.

This is my third time participating. The fireworks themselves are short, so I think it's better to approach it with the mindset that you can see the fireworks during the night cruising. They anchor the boat so that you can see the fireworks from any seat. The staff is always friendly and enjoyable. The view of the fireworks from the sea along with the night scenery of Waikiki... I think it's a great value.

I made a VIP reservation and was told I would have the front row seats, but from the photos, it looked like a table seat, and in reality, there were no table seats, just regular seats. If there are changes, I think it should be clearly stated. Moreover, the price difference between VIP and regular reservations is significant, yet the regular seats are just one row behind the VIP ones.

It's really unfair to book based on the photos.

The lobster and the meat were excellent. Of course, the sunset view was also beautiful. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and felt great. The hula dance show and local music performances on the boat were wonderful as well.

It was just okay. Boarding went quickly and was fairly organized. You weren't too crowded in the dining room, however it was HOT. They need fans. We were sitting on the sunset side on the outside and the sun was in my face the entire meal. Between the sun, heat and movement of the boat I was miserable. I don't normally get seasick, but combined with the extreme heat and lack of breeze I felt like crap. I couldn't wait to get up top where there was a breeze.
The buffet had what was advertised, but it was a minimal selection. In my opinion it left something to be desired, I didn't even eat one plate. The desserts were okay, the fruit was fresh. The wait staff was friendly and efficient.
We did have a spectacular sunset and it is amazing to see from the ship. We missed most of the entertainment because I needed to be up where there was a breeze but people seemed to be enjoying themselves. We went on Friday to see the fireworks. There were so many people topside that we couldn't stand on the side of the ship you needed to be on to watch them. (You want to be on the right side.) We wound up going back to our seats (2nd level) and had a perfect view of the end of the fireworks display. Overall I couldn't wait for the evening to end so I could get off the ship and get into the air conditioning. Personally I would not go again, but as I said a lot of people did seem to be enjoying themselves. I should mention, I'm not overweight, so that is not why I was so hot, they really need fans in those lower areas. Had I not been so miserable because of the heat I may have had a better experience.

We were enjoying a lively cruise with the captain's MC and the people around us, but as the sun began to set, the atmosphere turned quietly romantic.

As the sun sank lower, we thought we saw a large airship rising in the east, but it turned out to be a giant full moon. At that moment, a couple appeared to propose with a ring, and the excitement on the ship reached a peak.

In the end, the evening was capped off with a small fireworks display, reminiscent of bidding farewell to summer.

This sunset sail is outside of Waikiki. We loved the 2-hour cruise and opted for the open-bar option. The catamaran was pretty spacious and is a docked catamaran (walk right from the pier to the boat) instead of a beach catamaran like many of the Waikiki ones. The crew was really friendly. Would recommend getting the souvenir cup! It comes with a lid so you don't spill your drink when it gets a little windy and makes a fun souvenir.

Tasty buffet dinner! The food was DELICIOUS. I really liked the variety of food - and dessert options! While I'm not vegetarian, I did notice there were a few vegetarian options - including the fried rice (my favorite). There was some hula dancing for the first part of the dinner and we could join in for hula lessons. I liked that this was an outdoor dinner BUT there was a covered tent above us in case of any rain.

And, it did end up raining. Lucky for us, the covered tent kept us nice and dry. Then, we headed inside to the indoor theater where we saw the Vegas-style impersonators for Elvis, Michael Jackson, and a local performer.

LOVED this catamaran! I had been on this same catamaran previously for their Turtle Canyon snorkel cruise so I knew I would like the boat. I liked that the boat check-in was here in Waikiki at the Hilton Village making it super convenient. This saves some transit time from going to some of the farther harbors (i.e. Kewalo Basin Harbor, Honolulu Harbor, etc.). We spent the best day just hanging out at the beach then just walked over to the Port Hilton kiosk to check-in.

I also liked the later departure time than most other sunset cruises so we could have a full beach day and still have time to hop on the catamaran. The dinner was a smaller portion prepackaged & more like appetizers than a full-on dinner. The drinks were tasty & buying more beyond the 2 included was $2/each - not a bad bargain. Since we were on the Hilton's pier, we were super close to the fireworks and were coming into the Port Hilton just as the fireworks were going off.

If you get cold easily, I would recommend packing a windbreaker or light sweater. It doesn't get cold here but it does get VERY BREEZY on the water at night once the sun goes down. I had a super light windbreaker which I didn't actually have to even use until about 1.5 hours into the cruise.

Overall, great cruise! So much fun!

Some bumpy moments so I would not recommend if you are prone to seasickness. Overall we had a really amazing time and I would definitely do it again!

I read the reviews and trusted everyone's comments about how great it was, so I signed up. It was amazing! Since I was staying at the Sheraton, it only took 5 minutes to get to the boarding area from my room. We had to wait quite a while until departure, but it was fine even if we were cutting it close. We sped out into the ocean, and the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea was beautiful. After 6 o'clock, the sunset turned the sky red, and it was stunning.

The meeting place was quite far from the hotel, so I thought it might have been better to include round-trip transportation, but I managed with a taxi. On the way there, the road was congested, and I was worried about whether I would make it on time, plus the transportation costs were high, so if you're concerned, you should consider arranging for transportation. On the way back, it wasn't crowded, so it ended up being cheaper (^^).

It was unfortunate that the space between the tables was narrow and felt cramped, but the food was delicious, and having a whole lobster was very impressive! It was tasty!

Typically, the seats of other people are right next to you, and since everyone is not wearing masks, if you are concerned about COVID, the restrictions in Japan are completely different, so at the very least, wearing a mask is necessary.
I attended alone, but considering my seating, I was allowed to sit in a special reserve seat and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
The colors of the sunset were indescribable, a pink hue that is rarely seen in Japan, and it dyed the sea that color as well.
Since we set sail while it was still bright, the view of the buildings in Waikiki and the mountains behind them from the ocean was fantastic, and especially the night view after it got dark was amazing.
The cruise lasts for two hours until the fireworks start, so you can really enjoy it.

クルーズの時間が花火が上がるまでの2時間あるので、かなり満喫できます。

We used this for the celebration of my parents' longevity (3 people). From departure to return, both the meals and programs were fulfilling, and we had a wonderful time without getting bored at all.

* One person used a wheelchair, but since they could walk a little, we used the regular pickup bus. Upon boarding, we were able to use the elevator preferentially to take our seats.
* The tenderloin steak seems to be part of the regular menu. Since we were a group of five, we included fish (we had the sautéed tuna with butter) in the menu, but I think the steak was the right choice. The fish was also delicious, but the tenderloin was like a filet steak and very tasty (overall, there was nothing that wasn't delicious).
* We boarded on Friday night, and the fireworks from the Hilton were quite impressive. By the way, you might want to choose seats on the ocean side, but the fireworks only go off from one side. If you're not on that side, it will be hard to see (since the fireworks are high, you won't see the whole display), so it might be better to not pay extra for seats and instead step away during the fireworks and sunset to enjoy the view before returning.

＊金曜日の夜に乗船したのですが、ヒルトンから上がる花火はなかなかのものでした。ちなみに、座席を海側にしたくなりますが、あがるのは片側からのみです。そちらでなければ、見えにくい（花火の高さがあるいので、全体は見えない）となりますので、追加で座席にお金を払わず、花火のタイミング、サンセットのタイミングで離席し、景色を楽しんでから戻るのが良いかもしれません。
＊ショーにおいて、ジャズのパートも良かったのですが、ポリネシアンダンスがとても良かったです。船が着いても、まだ終わってませんでした。最後は全員参加型の盛り上がりで楽しかったです。ちなみに座席は、舞台サイドの海側に座ると見えにくくなります。反対側だと見やすいかもしれませんが、外れる可能性もありますので、追加料金を払わず、真ん中で良いかもしれませんね。
