I went sailing around Waikiki on the yacht Makani! I had been on several dinner cruises with the Star of Honolulu, but since it's a large ship, I didn't really feel like I was on the ocean. However, the Makani is much closer to the water, which gives you a real sense of being at sea. Once we got out a bit, it became a quiet and comfortable sailing experience.

Additionally, I had a surprise encounter with a whale! It was just a fleeting moment, so I couldn't capture it on camera, but it was truly moving to see it in such a setting. I definitely want to board again next time.

The green room experience is a must do experience, especially for those that enjoy theater shows! The family all loved it and the opportunity to meet the stars of the show, talk with them and take pictures while sipping champagne and eating hors d’oeuvres was fun and insightful. Elvis was especially friendly and personable! The food was very good, especially the tender steak and creamy mashed potatoes. The Polynesian dancers were exciting to watch and the sword and fire welding dancer was amazing! A good mix of the Hawaiian culture with the feel of a rock concert that the whole family can appreciate and enjoy! We would definitely recommend it if you have not been before!

Alcohol was unlimited up to two drinks, but for those who don't drink, it didn't matter. I was really disappointed that it was so different from what was advertised on the website.

We departed while there was still daylight and enjoyed the view of Diamond Head and the streets of Waikiki from the sea as the sunset transitioned into the night. It was a wonderful tour where I could enjoy various drinks like Mai Tais, beer, and champagne, creating great memories. The captain and staff were very friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome even when I asked for refills multiple times. I have been to Hawaii more than ten times, and if I have the chance to go again, I would love to do this tour once more.

Since you will be wading in seawater up to your knees, please wear shorts or a skirt and bring a towel to dry your feet. The explanations will all be in English, but I think you'll manage even if you don't understand everything. It can get cold on the boat when the sun goes down, so it's good to have a proper jacket, especially for Japanese people. I found it tough in a thin shirt during the second half. The restroom is quite basic, so it's better to take care of that beforehand. It was a lot of fun to enjoy drinks and chat with people from various countries. I would like to participate again next time on a Friday.

We participated in the buffet with the whole family. On this day, we had my son's wedding at the Hilton, and in the evening, the entire family went cruising. The three-star venue had no dress code, but I dressed up a bit for the outing. Choosing a window seat was a great decision since it was filled with newlyweds. When I asked the staff about the smoking area, they said it was on the aft deck. That spot was perfect for watching the sunset and the night view of Waikiki, and I took a ton of photos. At the end of the show, we had a group dance during the cha-cha, and it was a lot of fun.

However, the hula dance was significantly more wonderful and powerful than the dance I saw later at the Hawaiian Cultural Center, Star of Honolulu. While I was dissatisfied with the seating, I was very satisfied overall, including the meal.

I participated with my 3-year-old child. Even though I can't drink alcohol and this was my fifth time in Hawaii, I felt it was a shame I hadn't participated before because it was absolutely amazing. I didn't bring my camera because I was worried about getting it wet, but I don't think you'll get wet unless something really unusual happens. If you have a phone, there's a chance it could slip and fall into the ocean if you drop it, so I think a camera that you can hang around your neck is more practical.

We attended this cruise on 2017/12/24 Christmas eve and it was a wonderful evening from start to finish.The star of Honolulu is an amazing evening from the coach "Royal Star" transferring us from the hotel to the ship and back with great care. Upon arrival, the 5 star guests were ushered to the boat and boarding was separate from others. A photo, drink and canapes were offered on the top deck. We were then shown our seats - private 2 person table along the window - and drinks were served. The menu was a 7 course meal with the Beef with Foie Gras being the highlight of the dinner! Tender and melts in your mouth. Overall the dinner is a 9/10. Wait service was amazing, very helpful, explained all courses and never stopped smiling. Drinks were well made and presented nicely.
The cruise it self takes you along Waikiki beach with some great views of Diamond Head and all of Waikiki. The ambiance the sunset creates is great for all couples and a very romantic backdrop to take photos and video.
Live entertainment was a nice touch, with a Jazz show. The singer had an amazing voice along with the pianist and sax player.
This is truly an amazing dinner evening with your spouse or partner.

My only disappointment with this cruise is the actual time to spend on the deck enjoying the ocean breeze. Dinner is served shortly after leaving the dock which having a course dinner is hard to get up and leave between each course. We did manage after the salad to leave for a few minutes. The waiter kindly waited to serve us the 4th course when we got back.

Overall this cruise is an amazing romantic and wonderful cruise for couples celebrating. Make sure to pay attention during dinner to get great photos of Waikiki, Diamond Head and sunsets.
Thank you to all the staff of #The Star of Honolulu for your professionalism making our experience a wonderful night.

Since it was Friday, I thought it was a bit long to be delayed by about an hour to see the fireworks, but the fireworks were nice as well. However, I regret not giving a tip to the waiter who took care of our seats. I used the service on the day of arrival and thought the payment was already settled at the time of booking, so I let my guard down. I would appreciate it if you could include a note about how much to tip, if possible.

I participated in the final night of my honeymoon this time. A bus picked us up from the hotel and took us to the boarding area. Once on the ship, we were guided to the top floor by elevator, where we first took a commemorative photo with the captain. This photo was available for purchase later for about 3,000 yen. Some guests received it for free, possibly due to different options.

We were seated by the window and started with some champagne. After that, we could order our favorite drinks using three drink tickets per person. When I was unsure about the cocktails just by their names, a staff member kindly approached me and provided various recommendations. I felt there were many beautiful and cute cocktails that looked like they came from a magazine or TV.

Soon, the food was served. Everything was delicious, but the main dishes, the lobster and steak, were the best! We enjoyed our meal while listening to live performances of piano, saxophone, and singing, making it a very elegant experience—perfect for the last night of our honeymoon!

デッキには自由に出ることができ、スタッフの方が写真も撮ってくれました。
最後にバラの花も一輪いただきました！
