The food and service were great. We had the luau-style buffet dinner and everything was delicious, especially the whole roasted pig. A luau cannot be complete without it! The hula dancers and musicians were also very fun and friendly. The show dancers were so talented too. Especially Elvis, he even went into the audience at one point and interacted with some of the crowd! Adding a local singer to the mix was a nice touch as well. It gave a more authentic feel that you are in Hawaii as she sang along with Elvis and Michael Jackson. The evening show was a wonderful way to end the night. I highly recommend this show if you are looking a lively, entertaining night in Honolulu!

The 5-star and 3-star plans were fully booked, so I chose this course. The buffet was more delicious than I expected. There were fruits, coffee, and desserts as well. Basically, a man sings solo, and along with that, a lovely lady and two men perform hula dances. In another room, groups were dancing hula and it was quite lively. At the end, it was fun to dance in a circle with people from various countries. During the fireworks, going up to the deck on the ship to enjoy the view of the night scenery and fireworks is beautiful. Since the wind is strong, I recommend bringing a thicker outer layer.

Friday night firework dinner cruise was fantastic.
Drinks, music, food, picturesque views of the city, mountains, and ocean. Sat on the front of the boat outside with my wife and 2 teenage boys.
A memory that’s hard to recreate. I read reviews prior to the trip and saw griping about the food.

The Sunset Dinner Cruise on the Star of Honolulu offered a variety of experiences, but since the full course can be quite filling, my favorite is definitely the Pacific Star. If you're unsure, I think it's fine to choose based on your appetite. However, the live performances during the meal on the 5 and 3 Star are indeed luxurious. All the stars have excellent service from the staff, making for an enjoyable time. As for transportation, while it does come at a cost, I recommend the option with pick-up as it's convenient.

I was relieved to find out that it was okay as long as I arrived by the boarding time when I called because I was running late for check-in. It was a day with very strong winds and quite high waves, and almost everyone got pretty wet when boarding the boat from the shore. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the sunset, but it was a great experience to see Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head from the sea. I would like to try again next time.

The atmosphere on the boat wasn't bad, but it seemed a bit off for us. The only time it really got lively was during the fireworks. We booked the Terrace Luau Buffet & Show. At the terrace, we first enjoyed cheerful songs and dances while having complimentary cocktails (non-alcoholic options are available) and pineapple. Then, the whole roasted pig made its appearance! Not only was it visually impressive, but it also tasted great.

The instructions for going to the buffet and the theater were all in English, but it was manageable (laughs). The show was packed with performances, featuring hula, Elvis, and Michael! I even got to shake hands with Elvis, who came up to the second-floor seats.

While Elvis and Michael didn't look exactly like the originals, the quality of the show was high, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Time flew by, and we had a wonderful night in Hawaii!

The steak was delicious, the crab was all-you-can-eat, and the Hawaiian dance show was fantastic. Just after the passing of Hideki Saijo, the song "YMCA" played at the end of the cruise, and we all danced together, reaching a peak of excitement that truly created unforgettable memories for our entire family.

We didn't arrange for pick-up, so we went directly to the meeting point by bus and on foot without any issues, but I would also recommend the limousine service as it is reasonably priced.

社会人になった娘と息子と夫婦４人のおそらく最後になるであろう家族旅行と思い、一番皆の心に深く残りそうなオプションとして選んだツアーでした。しかもタイミング良く旅行最終日の夜が金曜日だったので、花火打ち上げ日にセッティングしました。ステーキも美味しく、カニも食べ放題でハワイアンダンスショーも最高でした。ちょうど西城秀樹さんが亡くなった直後だったのですが、クルージングの最後にYMCAの曲がかかり全員で踊りながら、盛り上りが最高潮に達し本当に一生家族全員の心に残る思い出をつくることができました。
送迎はつけなかったので現地集合時間にバスと歩きで直接行き何の問題も無かったのですが、リムジン送迎もリーズナブル価格なのでリムジン利用もお薦めでした。

Since it was a trip combined with our honeymoon, we decided to indulge a bit and went for the lobster course at the cruise dinner! The lobster was delicious! This is true; I had lobster at three other places, but this was the best!

As for the other dishes, they were just average, maybe a bit too American in flavor?

However, the view from the cruise was amazing, and it really made me feel like I was in Hawaii! I originally made a reservation for the last day, but unfortunately, it was fully booked... If you're hoping for a Friday cruise, I highly recommend making your reservation as early as possible!

We really enjoyed the Makani Dinner Sail. Booking was easy through the website and the pick-up instructions were clear. When we arrived at the Illikai at the appointed time, the shuttle driver greeted us by name and we were off!

On board, the crew was super-friendly and low-key, not uptight or scoldy at all, which is always nice when you're out on an adult dinner cruise. And I was really happy that once we got out into open water, the captain shut off the engines and proceeded under sail. Much nicer ambiance without the diesels droning. Drinks were perfectly fine. My only critique would be food quality. The buffet they rolled out was perfectly fine for a boomer reunion picnic but as a picky millennial, I would happily pay a little extra per ticket for a level-up on the dinner spread. Maybe audition a few new caterers? Just didn't think it was at the same standard as everything else. Overall though, a really lovely break from Waikiki!

I participated in the evening on the day of arrival. I was wondering how the sunset would be since there were clouds, but it was visible at times through the clouds, and I was moved. There were only one or two other Japanese people besides us. Music was playing, and the foreigners were really into it. There were free drinks, including beer, Mai Tai, and soft drinks, for two hours. I also purchased a photo taken before boarding as a memory. I highly recommend it.

During my honeymoon in Hawaii, I participated in a 3-star cruise. The atmosphere was cheerful, and I enjoyed the food while watching the show. The portion sizes were just right, not too much. Additionally, there was plenty of time to enjoy the scenery freely, allowing us to take many memorable photos on the boat.

However, I was quite confused about whether the tip was included in the tour price or not before boarding. I decided to prepare for it just in case, thinking I would give a tip if I saw other participants doing so. Upon researching, it seemed that when booked through other companies, tips were often included in the tour price, and since it appeared that the surrounding guests were not tipping, we decided not to either. (Though there might have been some who tipped without us noticing...) The voucher from Veltra did not mention tips under "what's included," so I would appreciate it if it could be clearly stated whether tips are included or not to help alleviate any concerns before boarding. I find it quite confusing that the inclusion of tips varies between companies even for the same tour.

As a participant, I found the cruise itself very enjoyable and felt it was worth participating. However, my honest impression is that it would have been more reassuring to book with a company that clearly states their tipping policy.

陽気な雰囲気で、ショーも、見ながら料理を楽しむことが出来ました。料理の量も多すぎず、丁度良かったです。また、自由に景色を楽しめる時間も充分にあるので、船の上で思い出に残る写真も沢山撮ることができました。

ただ、チップがツアー代金に含まれるのか含まれないのかが良く分からず、乗船前にすごく戸惑いました。周りの参加者を見て、チップを渡しているようだったら渡そうと決め、念のため準備をして行きました。調べると、他の会社で申し込んだ場合はツアー代金に含まれると書いてある場合が多いようで、周囲のお客さんは渡していない様子だったため、私たちもそうしました。（気づいていないだけで、渡している方もいらっしゃったかもしれませんが…）
ベルトラさんのバウチャーの、「含まれるもの」にチップは載っていませんでしたが、乗船前に不安なく楽しめるように、含まれないなら含まれないと明記して頂くとありがたいなと思いました。同じツアーでも申し込んだ会社によってチップが含まれている場合と含まれていない場合が混在していてとても分かりづらいなと思います。
参加者としては、クルーズ自体はとても楽しく、参加して良かったと思っています。ただ申し込む際は、チップの事をきちんと明記してある会社で申し込んだ方が安心して参加できたなと思ったのが率直な感想です。
