I've always wanted to experience this at least once! Even though I'm over 50 years old... This time, the opportunity came, and I took on the challenge. I'm truly overwhelmed with emotion!

Here's my experience. First, when I arrived at the center, I had to sign multiple "waivers." The content stated, "There will be no compensation for any accidents." In short, it's all on you, no matter what happens. It took some courage to sign this.

Finally, it was my turn to board the Cessna. The experienced instructor helped ease my nerves. The Cessna took off and climbed higher and higher. We were truly above the clouds.

Once we reached the altitude for the drop, the atmosphere in the cabin became tense. I tightened my harness and waited for "that moment." The cabin door opened, and it was finally time to drop!!!

When it was my turn, looking down, I saw the clouds below... Here we go! Falling!!! It's an experience that words can't express. Without a doubt, I was flying through the air.

As the large parachute opened, the speed dropped suddenly, allowing me to take in the view below. The endless blue sea spread out beneath me. It was also breathtaking!

When I safely returned, I felt a great sense of accomplishment. For those who are hesitant, I highly recommend it!

Lastly, I recommend getting the photos and DVD. They are a bit pricey, but they are definitely worth it. When you sign up at the center, each person gets their own dedicated cameraman.

前から、一度は！経験したいと思っていました。年も50才を過ぎているのですが。。。
そのチャンスが今回来て、初挑戦しました。もう感激の一言です！

私の体験記です。
？まず、センターに着くと、「誓約書」に何枚もサインします。「いかなる事故も一切損害賠償はありません。」と言った内容です。　要は何があっても自己責任です。これにサインするのも根性が必要でした。

？いよいよ順番が回って来てセスナに乗り込みます。でも慣れているインストラクターが緊張を解してくれました。セスナは離陸し、どんどん高度を上げます。本当に雲の上でした。

？落下する高度に達すると機内が一気に緊張感に包まれます。命綱をしっかり締めて　”その時”を待ちます。
機内のスライドが明きいよいよ落下です！！！

？ついに私の番になり、下を見ると雲の上です。。いざ！
　落下！！！
　もう言葉に表せない経験です。間違いなく生身で空を飛んでいます。

？途中、大きなパラシュートが開くと、一気にスピードが落ちる代わりに、眼下の景色を見る余裕が生まれます。
果てしなく青い海が眼下に広がります。これも感動！です。

無事に生還！？した時には大きな達成感もあります。
迷っている方！是非ともお薦めですよ。

最後に、写真とDVDはお薦めです。少し金額は高いのですがその価値は十分あります。センターで申し込むと一人一人に専用のカメラマンが付いてくれます。

さらにふくよかな体重を支えるために20$の追加料金を請求される。このとき減量を決意。

そこから待つこと１時間。やっとこ呼ばれて器具を付けられ２~３の講習を受けたのちに飛行機に搭乗。外人インストラクターは見かけは怖いが「ドキドキ」と唯一知っている日本語を連呼して和ませてくれる。
あっと言う間に高度14,000フィートに到着。
あれよあれよと皆が飛び立っていく。覚悟を決めるまもなく私も空中に！
風はとにかくすごいが、落ちているの？という感じ。とにかく地上が近づいてこないため、自分がどうなっているのか良く分らない。
結構長い時間落下し、パラシュートが開く。
飛び立ってからあっという間だったためか、やっと落ち着いて周りを見れるように。
器具が股に挟まってやや痛いが気分は爽快。地上に降り立つまでスイングしてくれたりとサービス精神旺盛のインストラクターに感謝です。

この日は結構暑い日だったんですが、ダイビング中は結構冷えるため、長袖がお勧め。特に落下中は寒いくらいでした。
最後にチップ箱に＄20を投函してホノルルへ。

何だかんだでそこそこお金は払いましたが、日本でやるよりはだいぶ安いと思います。ハワイ行くなら是非挑戦を！

It truly became the best memory!

I thought I should try skydiving at least once in my life, and it really turned out to be an unforgettable experience. As many experienced jumpers say, I never felt that floating sensation like on a roller coaster; until the parachute opened, I was just lying flat in strong winds (but the view was absolutely amazing, unlike anything in my daily life!). Once the parachute opened, even though I was at a considerable altitude, I felt no resistance at all—it was truly a walk in the sky!

This first dive was so wonderful that it made me want to go skydiving again somewhere.

By the way, since I signed up with three friends, we went without a shuttle and drove there with a rental car. Rental cars in Hawaii are very affordable, so if you're comfortable with left-hand driving, it might be better to go on your own to save time.

人生一度は、、と思い今回念願のスカイダイビングとなりましたが本当に忘れられない思い出となりました。
経験者はみなさんおっしゃってますが、所謂ジェットコースターのようなふわっと感は一度も感じることなく、パラシュートが開くまではただ強風の上で大の字になっているだけ（でも景色は自分の日常生活から考えられない素晴らしさ！）、パラシュートが開いてからはかなりの高度があるものの何の抵抗も感じることが無く、まさに空中散歩！

絶対にまたスカイダイビングをどこかでやろうと思わせてくれた素敵な1st diveとなりました。

ちなみに友人3名との申込みだった為送迎無しで申込み、レンタカーで行きました。
ハワイはレンタカーが非常に安いので左ハンドル問題無い方はご自身で行かれた方が時間の無駄はないかもしれません。

I was very excited! To be honest, I was a bit scared before doing it, but the instructor was easy to talk to, which helped me relax a little. Since it's a sport that requires personal responsibility, I think it's good to challenge yourself once you've made up your mind! I had been planning to experience skydiving at least once before I die. This time, after 10 years, I traveled to Hawaii with friends, and I decided that even if no one else wanted to do it, I would definitely go for it.

Once we arrived, we watched an instructional video, and shortly after, our names were called to put on the harnesses. Without much time to mentally prepare, it was time to board the Cessna! I got on the plane with my dive partner, and after about 15 minutes, we reached the jump point. We were hurriedly told, "GO! However, during the 1 to 2 minutes of free fall, I felt absolutely no fear. It was just an incredible wind hitting me from below. 今回、10年ぶりにハワイへ友達と旅行することになり、
みんながやらなかったとしても、一人でも絶対やろうと決めていました。

いざ、当日。
ワイキキ周辺からスカイダイビングのポイントまでかなり距離があります。
着いて説明ビデオを見て、ちょっとしたら名前を呼ばれ順番にハーネスを付けていきます。
別料金ですがビデオ＆写真を頼むと専属のカメラマンが準備段階から密着してくれます。

心の準備するまもなくセスナへＧＯ！
一緒にダイブするパートナーとセスナに乗り込み約15分。
ポイントに到達すると「ＧＯ！ＧＯ！！」とせかされ、怖さも感じることなくダイブ！
ダイブする瞬間、床のない空へほおり出される感覚はちょっとビビリます。

でも、落ちている1~2分　まったく怖くありません。
ただものすごい風を下からあてられてるってだけ。これホント。
ものすごいＧ？とか、胃が浮くような感覚とか、いろいろ覚悟してたけどまったく感じません。不思議。
ジェットコースターや垂直落下が嫌いな人でも絶対平気です。

そして、一番感動したこと。
本当に地球は丸かった。

地平線や水平線で地球が丸いことを感じた人はいると思うけど、その風景とは比べ物にならない絶景。
360度とは言わないけど、それに近い水平線を見たのは初めてでした。

死んでも訴えません。みたいな約束をさせられるので一応、死を覚悟しましたが、本当にやってよかった。

ただ残念なことに私のビデオカメラだけ故障し、動画が一切撮れてませんでした。。。
もう一度飛ぶか聞かれましたが、あの感動はもうないのでやめました。
写真は大丈夫だったのでそれを購入。お詫びにＴシャツを付けてくれました。

また10年後ぐらいにもう一度やるつもりです。
今度こそ動画が残せますように。。。

However, the instructor, who didn't speak Japanese, seemed to be enjoying himself a bit too much, making several spins, which was fun but made me feel nauseous. It was tough to hold back the urge to throw up. The G-force when the parachute opened was more intense than I imagined, causing unbearable pain in both my brain and body. By the way, I did take motion sickness medication, but it didn't help at all. If you feel good, I can guarantee that it will be an outstanding experience from start to finish! I went directly without a shuttle service, so once the diving was over and the DVD and photos were ready, I could leave right away. For those participating with a shuttle, even if you jump at 9 AM, you have to wait until noon for the shuttle to return. I think it's best to participate with plenty of time to spare. Since the wait can be long, I recommend joining without the shuttle service for those who are short on time!

景色も最高でしたよ。
ただ、日本語の通じないインストラクターさん、
調子に乗ってか何度も旋回して楽しんでくれるのはいいのですが、気分が悪くなってしまいます。

パラシュートが開いた途端にかかるＧは想像以上で、脳も身体も耐え難い苦痛を伴います。

気分さえ良ければ、終始最高な体験になる事は保証します！
私は送迎無しで、直接行ったので、ダイビングが終わり、ＤＶＤや写真が出来上がれば直ぐに帰れました。

時間に余裕持って参加されたらいいと思います。

I was fortunate enough to end the last day of 2011by jumping out of a plane at 14000 ft high, Its probably the best thrill ride you could ever do.

The staff at Pacific Skydiving are friendly and knowledgeable, they keep to the KISS method, this way when you jump, you don't have to worry about anything other than enjoying the ride down.

I highly recommend anybody to jump with them if you can, the cost to jump with them is half the price at any other location I've looked up locally to me.

I spent my time in Hawaii focused on golf, but I was interested in this activity, which has a 65-year age limit. So, I signed up with my wife (I'm 63, and my wife is in her 50s). Our children are independent now, and my work doesn't cause too much trouble, so I thought it would be fine even if something unexpected happened.

I don't have a fear of heights, but sitting on a seat like a log made me feel uneasy as we reached a considerable altitude. However, I was bound to the instructor like a koi on a board, sliding down one after another. The one-minute free fall from 14,000 feet (4,267 meters) was incredible, with wind pressure at 200 km/h. I've experienced 200 km/h on a motorcycle, but the wind pressure on my entire body was incomparable.

According to the display, it was a 3,333-meter free fall!? However, since I didn't feel the G-force, it felt more like flying than falling. The cameraman fell alongside me, and I was able to strike poses as if swimming in the air. After the parachute opened, I had a bit of leisure time to look around, wondering where Turtle Bay Golf Course was and if I could see any whales, while also checking my altitude with the altimeter.

I ended my last day of 2011 with skydiving. What a great way to end the year! This was my 3rd time skydiving with Pacific Skydiving Center, and they never fail to satisfy my need for adrenaline rush. The view of North Shore from 14000ft is always gorgeous. Highly recommended.

Don't be scared. Just do it. It'll be the best day of your life.

I originally liked thrill rides at amusement parks, but I have to admit I was scared just before jumping. However, once I jumped, it felt amazing!! I didn't feel scared at all. I understand why people get hooked on it.

In the group I participated with, there were some who weren't good with thrill rides, but even they said it was really fun after jumping and that they weren't scared while in the air.

After we finished jumping, we had to wait about two hours until our car departed, but since I was there alone, I played frisbee and catch with the staff, so the time flew by. I can only have very simple conversations in English (or rather, I mostly communicated through gestures), but the staff played with me without any signs of annoyance.

This became a really nice memory, so for those who will challenge this in the future, if you find yourself with free time after jumping, muster up the courage to talk to the local staff. I'm sure you'll create some fun memories!

もともと遊園地などの絶叫系は好きですが、さすがに飛ぶ直前は怖かったです。
でも飛んでしまえば最高に気持ちいい！！怖いという感覚は一切なかったです。ハマる気持ちが分かります。
一緒に参加したグループの中には絶叫系が苦手な人もいましたが、その人も飛んだ後は、すごく楽しかったし飛んでる間は怖くなかったと言っていました。

飛び終えた後は帰りの車が出発するまで２時間くらい待たなければいけませんでしたが、一人で参加していた私はスタッフの方たちとフリスビーやキャッチボールをして遊んでいたのであっという間でした。
私は英語は本当に簡単な会話しかできませんが（というか、ほぼ会話無しでジェスチャーのみでやりとりしました）スタッフの方たちは嫌な顔1つせず一緒に遊んでくれました。
これもとてもいい思い出になりましたので、これから挑戦する方は、飛び終えた後ヒマになったら、勇気を出して現地スタッフに話しかけてみてください。
きっと楽しい思い出ができますよ！

Everyone is writing various things, but if you're unsure, just go for it. I can't do a 10-meter bungee jump, but the fear was almost zero. The staff were friendly, which was great, but the driver's "give me a tip" was a bit annoying. Well, I guess there are many people who wouldn't pay unless they insist. 皆さんいろいろ書かれてますが、確かに迷ったら飛べですな。１０ｍのバンジーできない僕ですが、恐怖はゼロに近かったですね。スタッフの皆さんもフレンドリーでよかったのですが、ドライバーさんの「チップよこせ」がちょっとうざい。まあ、しつこく言わなきゃ払わんやつが多いんだろうけど。ちなみにチップだけで一人50ドル位飛んでいきますが、それでもやる価値ありますね。オススメです。
