We had the most wonderful time yesterday at Kualoa Ranch! What a beautiful place, full of activities for all ages. My sister was visiting from Tennessee and we took her to the ATV Raptor Tour. We chose the one hour package, but trust us, one hour goes pretty fast, if you have the chance get the package for 2 hours, do it! It was absolutely unforgettable, the view, the sites, the adventure. The staff was very helpful and fun. When you come to Hawaii, make sure to hit Kualoa Ranch for the activities they offer!

We participated as a couple, and there was a test drive at the beginning. My husband had no issues with the buggy, but I dropped out! I ended up in the staff's Jeep, which turned out to be great. I was able to enjoy the magnificent scenery. During the two-hour drive, we got to see various filming locations from movies and TV dramas, and the staff were cheerful, creating a very enjoyable atmosphere.

The scenery is just amazing. Many of the staff were very kind. There are other activities as well, so it's definitely a place I want to visit again.

I reserved a one-hour buggy course. Since there is no shuttle service from the hotel, we scheduled it to coincide with the day we rented a car. As others have mentioned, although the voucher states a 9:30 start time, you need to be there by 9:00, or they will start without you. It seems they start calling names around 9:10. I knew this but still arrived at 9:15 and missed it. However, it was okay. There was another course at 10:30, so I waited a bit and was able to participate starting at 10:30. *Be aware that during peak times, they might refuse you.*

As a note for this tour, a certain level of strength and driving skill is required. Without these, you won't be allowed to ride the buggy, and they are quite strict about it. There was even one person in my group who dropped out.

I participated with my wife, and I wish we had chosen the two-hour course instead of the one-hour course because it was so much fun. The scenery was fantastic, and the weather was perfect with a temperature of 27 degrees in January! Overall, we had a great time.

Photography during driving or riding is prohibited. However, using something like a GoPro that can be attached to your chest is allowed.

For the one-hour course, there is only one photo opportunity. If you want more, I recommend the two-hour course. By the way, if you are late for the two-hour course, I believe it will be treated as a cancellation, so be careful.

There were also horseback riding and location tours, but it was clear that the people on the single-rider buggies were having the most fun.

It's expensive, but it's worth it.

1時間コースでは写真の撮影ポイントは1箇所のみです。物足りない人は2時間コースおすすめします。
因みに2時間コースで時間に遅れるとキャンセル扱いになると思いますのでご注意を。

乗馬やロケ地巡りもやってましたが明らかに1人乗りバギーの人が一番楽しそうでした。

There were no staff members who could speak Japanese, so after the zip line activity, I thought it was lunchtime since there were no other participants, but there was no explanation about where to eat, which felt a bit unkind! I think it would have been better if they had a Japanese-speaking staff member or provided a schedule at the beginning. The driver who picked us up drove recklessly, using sudden brakes and sharp turns, which was scary. The return trip was fine, though.

There was no shuttle service, so I debated whether to rent a car or take a taxi until the end. Our reservation was for a meeting time of 8:30 and a start time of 9:30. Our hotel was the Alohilani Resort in Waikiki, which is about a 45-minute drive away, so we had to leave the hotel by at least 7:30. In the end, we took a taxi to the location (about $100 including tip). There are only two routes: one along the coast and the other through the mountains, and we chose the mountain route. Along the way, we encountered a typical morning rain in Hawaii, which made me think, "Oh no!" But by the time we arrived, it had completely cleared up and was sunny!

We quickly checked in and were told to come to the buggy boarding area by 9:15. We stored our belongings in a locker for $5, which we could open and close multiple times. 終わってちょうどランチタイムなので　レストランで私と娘はハンバーガー、主人は照り焼きソースを絡めたステーキセットを注文。お肉は放牧されている牛のもの。これもおいしかったですよ！
帰りは路線バスを利用。昼間は1時間2本あるようで　それでも時間どうりにには来ません。ここはハワイアンタイム！30分くらい待ったでしょうか。ようやく乗って、アラモアナまで、1時間。一人＄5.25。来た道と同じルートでワイキキまで。途中ローカルの方々が乗り降りして　車内もきれいでした。

My husband really enjoyed the buggy ride, but there was more sand dust than I expected, so I think it would be better for women to have something to cover their hair. The ranch itself is beautiful, easy to find, and has plenty of parking and good customer service. The Multi-Passenger Raptor UTV tour allows drivers to switch off wherever the lead decides for the group to stop and take pictures. Considering how fully booked this place is, I never felt overwhelmed by the amount of people and during the tour itself, I felt like we were the only people driving around. Each turn led to a scenic view. Our 1 hour tour felt really short. We only stopped once and I was left wanting more. I wouldn't call this a tour because there is no narration or information provided. You simply follow your group and the passenger(s) take pictures/videos.

I had experience with a mid-sized motorcycle, and I was worried about the heavy handlebars, but it was fine! The roads are unpaved in nature, so my face got covered in dust from the dirt (^_^;) If you want to avoid that, it might be a good idea to bring something to cover your face, like a bandana or mask.

Riding through the magnificent scenery was the best and felt amazing!

Very great experience for my 7 years old daughter. I was skeptical she might not like it or maybe she'll get scared because how fast you can drive the ATV but she enjoyed it a lot. We had a very good tour guide. Overall experience for this activity is SUPERB. my daughter even said after the tour that it's her "BEST DAY EVER!". We had so much fun inspite of all the dirt on our face. Lol. If you guys wanna take a ride. Might as well bring facial mask or something to cover the nose and lip part. and glasses. Even for the kids. Cause all the dust gonna be on your face during the tour. It's our first time so we didn't even know. Anyway, it was a great experience. It was the best activity! Definitely will come back for this activity again!

Epic day of adventure for my girlfriend and I!

We had a blast at Coral Crater! We booked the ultimate package that included zipline, tower,and ATV and it was so worth it! The day started off zip-lining. We had zip-lined at a few other places here which I remember being somewhat bored. This wasn't the case here. The lines fly through the tree top and it definitely felt a lot faster than our previous zip tour. No one got stuck on the lines because you go more than fast enough! I wish I was able to post some of the video here! After zip-lining we had a much needed hour break for lunch before the tower activity. It does get very hot as the adventure park is literally built into a crater and is protected from the wind. Taking a break to cool off and drink lots of water was very nice. The tower was a ton of fun, some obstacles were pretty easy while others were fairly challenging. I am not a climber so being up in the air really took me out of my comfort zone which made even the simple obstacles exciting! The safety equipment they use is top notch, high-end gear, so when you do fall you can rest easy knowing that you are safe.There was a 3rd grade boy in the group who was flying through the course, his parents (not old) could barely keep up! So its safe to say this great for kids. The most intimidating part is the "freefall" from 70 ft using the auto-belay device.It looks terrifying but is actually pretty fun. The climbing wall was a lot of fun also. We all got to take as many attempts as we wanted. I made it up to the bell both times I went and was exhausted after that. The final activity was ATVs. These are not normal ATVs, they are custom 800cc v-twin mid-engine off-road machines. I had a blast drifting and sliding the ATV around. I got the ATV almost sideways multiple times and at one point we almost hit 30MPH! This is not a slow, sightseeing ATV ride, so do not expect that. Driving skill will play a role in how exciting this ATV is. If you want to tear up the trail and get dirty, these are the ATVs to do it on!

Such a great time doing the 2hour ATV tour. Our guide Bill was amazing and full of knowledge.
Would definitely recommend the 2 hour tour, I feel one hour wouldn’t be enough time to see the amazing sights of the ranch.

Had a great time riding round the ranch. Great mix of the ATV experience, sightseeing of movie sites and spectacular scenery. Guide was great though more time for photo stops would have been great. Fabulous photo opportunity and Jurassic experience at the end.
The bunker was interesting and it's amazing how many films were made here. The lunch after was tasty and a perfect end to the activity.

Oahu's Best ATV Adventure Ride & Thrilling Zipline Tour Combo - Coral Crater Adventure Park

Waste of Time and Money!

My two teenagers and I purchased the ATV/Zipline combo and were pretty excited about the ATV portion of it. When we got to Coral Crater, we realized it was a fenced in area with a bunch of trees and plants. Nothing to see or experience that has to do with Hawaii or Hawaii's beautiful scenery. We ziplined first, and that was ok. Nothing great or exciting...I would give that part of the experience a 6 out of 10. Again, you're just going through trees on the property, and in some instances, you see buildings fron across the street. We then went on to the ATV portion of this excursion. The ATVs are rigged so you can't get out of first gear. You go around and around and around on a dirt track and literally can't see anything but the dirt that's being kicked up by the ATV in front of you. These tracks should be watered down. There is nothing exciting about this, unless you're between the ages of 5 and 10. Otherwise, you get dizzy from going around in circles in the dust for an hour in first gear. My teens wanted to leave 10 minutes into the ride. Also, please be advised to bring a change of clothes, as you will be COVERED in dirt. We felt as though we wasted our time and money here. If I'm going to go that slow on an ATV, then at least I'd like to sight see!

I participated because I wanted to enjoy the magnificent nature! I wanted to ride a single-person four-wheeler, but it was fully booked, so I joined the five-person Raptor tour instead! It was incredibly fun and exceeded my expectations with its thrilling experience! I believe this tour, which allows you to ride swiftly while overlooking both the ocean and the mountains, is unique to Hawaii. If I have the chance, I definitely want to participate again next time! ☆

I wanted to go on a buggy ride (I had been on a tour before and this time I just wanted to do the buggy), so I chose this affordable plan. However, I was worried about having to gather at the meeting point. Taking a taxi would require a lot of money, and I was scared to drive a rental car (I have no experience with left-hand drive and driving on the right side), so I was unsure what to do. I found out online that I could also take The Bus, so I decided to give it a try.

The Bus costs $2.75 one way, but a day pass is $5.50, so considering the return trip, it’s better to buy the day pass for peace of mind (you won’t have to worry if you make a mistake! You can also stop for a restroom break or shopping!). You just need to hand cash to the driver when you get on the bus and say something like, “One day, please.” I don’t think tipping is necessary.

The Bus to Kualoa Ranch departs from the Ala Moana Shopping Center. The number is 55. The starting point is on the mountain side, but it also goes by the ocean side bus stop, so either way is fine. 大体1時間くらいで着きます。バスの前方に日本のバスみたいな電光掲示板があり、行き先を確認することができます。クアロアランチのバス停の前からクアロア○○というのが続きます。Kamehameha Hwy（カメハメハハイウェイ）ーKualoa Maintenance→Kualoa Resional Park→Kualoa Ranchの順で止まります。Stop Request（停止ボタン、もしくは縄みたいなのを引く）は日本より早めに押します。Resional Parkが過ぎたあたりで電光掲示板にKualoa Ranchが出なくても押した方が無難です。ただ、他にも降りる人がいると思うので、そこまで気にしなくても良いかもしれません。寝過ごさないように注意が必要です。
あと、バスの中はとても寒いので、寒さに弱い人は注意が必要です。
集合場所については、特に指定もありませんでした。ビジターセンターを抜けるとチケットオフィスがあり、気がついたら突然日本語を話せる現地のスタッフの説明が始まります（チケットオフィスではなく、さらに奥の原っぱみたいな所です）。分からなければ、まずは誰でも良いので日本語のスタッフがいないか、そこの辺にいるスタッフに聞くのが早いです。
ただ、いずれにしても、チケットオフィスでバウチャーを見せて、バギーのチケットをもらうことには変わりはありません。チケットをもらったら、始まる10分前にバギーの受付(ATVと書いてあります）に行くと、まずは怪我しても文句を言いません的な書類にサインをしろと言われます。そこにサインをすると次に日本語の説明ビデオを見れるような小屋に案内され、ビデオが流れます。それを見てから、その小屋内にあるヘルメット（サイズはS、M、Lなど）、花粉症用みたいな透明、大きめのメガネをつけてバギーに乗ります。それ以降は他の体験談と同じなので割愛します。なるようになります。色々な人がおり、運転が下手な人もいるため、すごいゆっくりになることもあります。その辺の覚悟、広い心は必要です。速く走ることや前の人について行こうと頑張るよりは、安全かつ周りの景色を楽しみながら行くのがコツと思います。
結構凸凹してますので、コースアウトしないことや前の人にぶつからないように注意して楽しむのが良いと思います。
途中で写真を撮られ、それは最後に15ドルで売ってます。でも自分で持ってきたカメラでも写真を撮ってくれますので（もちろんタダ）、自分たちのカメラで撮れれば必要ないと思います。

There were young Japanese women and men in the same group, and I wondered if they even drive in Japan because they were driving so slowly! They could only go about 4 to 5 kilometers per hour. During the briefing, they said that those who couldn't drive should refrain from participating! Right after we started, another staff member came and began leading the slow couple in front of us. The people following us sped off with other staff. When we tried to keep up, we were stopped because we were treated the same as the other Japanese participants. However, the speed never increased. It felt like we were only going as fast as walking. We didn't experience the joy of driving a four-wheeler at all. I was looking forward to it, but it was the worst. I want my money back.

窓がないので砂けむりをモロにかぶります。白い服装は避け、汚れてもよい恰好で参加するのがよいです

Since there were two adults and one child, we signed up for one single ride and one double ride! We were disappointed to end up in separate groups, but it was great to experience the vast land that you can't find in Japan! The double ride might have been a more intense way to enjoy the buggy!

The perfect way to spend our day together! We were booked on the Ultimate package that included the Adventure Tower, Zipline, Kings Swing, ATV & rock climbing. This package is perfect for couples as its all about trusting each others judgement and it could get a little competitive too. The adventure tower took a lot of energy out of us as it did require a lot of upper arm workout however it was defiantly worth it. The off road ATV drive was so much fun! You can either take turns to drive or for 20-30 minutes each. Lastly, for the Zipline we did the full 6 line and we had a blast! The staff members definitely take care of you and make sure you're comfortable before doing any of the activities. I would recommend this tour to anyone honestly. Young or old, either way I'm sure everyone will enjoy this full day tour!
