I was laughing so hard with my nose covered in dust.
Driving a four-wheeler without an international license felt like a scene from a movie with six vehicles lined up.
The guide was kind and pleasant.
At Kualoa Ranch, it was okay to add activities based on the time we had, but the popular zip line sells out quickly.

The morning pickup location was in front of the Twin Fin Hotel, so I walked from my accommodation. A large bus labeled "Kualoa Ranch" arrived, and most of the participants were from overseas. Once we arrived, there was a tour guide for Japanese participants, which was great. The buggy experience was guided entirely in English, so I couldn't understand what was being said, but I felt reassured because I could watch instructional videos in Japanese. The accelerator is quite heavy, so you need to press it firmly to move forward. I am 148 cm tall, and unfortunately, the seatbelt was tight, and I couldn't reach the pedals to drive, which was disappointing, but overall it was a very enjoyable tour. I had prepared myself after reading other people's reviews, but I was surprised at how dirty we got. I recommend that women bring cleansing wipes and moisturizing cream! Also, it was very cold on the bus ride there.

We had the most amazing experience!! We brought our daughter to Hawaii for her high school graduation and she loved this tour. We had the best tour guides ever!! And we would do it over and over again if we lived here. Just make sure you bring comfy clothes, comfy shoes you really don’t mind getting wet/dirty, and females you will get your face super dirty and wet…so make sure you at least bring a little extra face wash/sunscreen.

It was fun to drive on the open off-road surrounded by mountains, but sand gets into your mouth and ears, so it would be good to have a mask that covers your mouth and ears. There is a group self-introduction time before departure, and there are several stops along the way for explanations and quizzes. Since some level of communication in English is required, it can be a bit challenging for shy individuals.

Since it was the season, there were only English instructors, but there was no problem as we watched Japanese videos on how to drive in a Japanese group! Driving the Raptor on rough roads felt like an attraction and was fun, and the scenery was beautiful. There were stops at key points where we could get off and take photos, making it a very good experience! Since we drove on muddy roads and it might rain along the way, it's better to put any belongings you don't want to get dirty in a locker or in a bag!

This ATV experience was unlike any I’ve had before. It’s located on a farm, so you get to see the farm animals, feed them, and pet them, which is pretty cool. You can enjoy the farm life before or after you ride. I HIGHLY recommend using their goggles. Sunglasses do diddly squat when you’re out there riding; it gets very dusty. You ride to a track, do many laps on the track, and then ride to scenic areas where they will take pictures of you. The track got boring after a while; I recommend that they utilize more space or a different area for ATV rides to change it up. They took a video of us on the track, and wanted $10 for one minute-long video that included my family and people I didn’t know that were in and out of the frame in a flash. Needless to say, we did not buy the video. Despite this, they were kind-hearted and led us to see the beautiful scenery where we could get the best pictures. I enjoyed the experience!

First of all, it was great that a Japanese staff member assisted us upon arrival, making everything easy to understand. After that, it was all in English, but we managed somehow despite the language barrier. Riding the four-wheeled buggy was a thrilling and exciting experience, like an attraction at a theme park! The instructions mentioned that long pants were required, but in reality, most people were wearing shorts. Anyway, the dust was incredible, so our clothes got dirty. We spent two hours enjoying beautiful scenery and navigating bumpy roads while having a blast, and I was very satisfied!

For those participating in this tour:

1. As you will get covered in sand, it's recommended to wear all black clothes or clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
2. Using a locker is not mandatory for this tour, but it's definitely better to use one. (The locker fee is $5, payable in cash or credit. You can access it multiple times!) Your belongings will also get sandy. I think it's fine to have just one phone among your group!
3. Since you'll be covered in sand, your face will also be quite dirty, so it would be great to have a makeup pouch (makeup remover wipes would be ideal).
4. After participating in this tour, I had a hamburger at a café, and since it's American-sized, I recommend sharing one between two people!

If you keep these three points in mind, I believe you'll have a fun tour! As for safety, you can feel secure watching the Japanese video. The local guides will speak in English, but you might be able to understand the atmosphere!

I can't speak English at all, but when we arrived at Kualoa Ranch, a Japanese guide explained the location of the restrooms, the check-in points for each activity, and the return time, after which we dispersed. If you show your Japanese driver's license at check-in, you receive a wristband, and only those wearing the wristband can drive. You might not find another place where you can experience driving through nature like at Kualoa Ranch. The thrill of speeding was really enjoyable. However, it gets dustier than expected, so it's better to bring a change of clothes and goggles or sunglasses to have an even better time.

I've been to Hawaii eight times, but this is my first time at Kualoa Ranch! Since I was here, I chose to ride a buggy through the great outdoors. There are also options for horseback riding and movie tours. We hardly understand any English... At first, there’s an orientation with other tour guests, but I couldn't understand anything they were saying at all. It seems they were just telling us to gather at each location when the time comes. The meeting point for the buggies is a bit further in and hard to find. We follow a few tour vehicles behind the instructor. Driving the buggy is definitely fun, but those riding along can enjoy it too. We stop at several movie filming locations to take pictures. However, I have no idea what they are explaining (crying). There are muddy spots along the way. We plunge into puddles like on Disneyland's Splash Mountain. It's absolutely essential that your face and clothes get dirty, so it's best to avoid wearing anything too nice!

It takes about 45 minutes by large bus from the hotel in Waikiki to the site. The buggy start time is set, so we have free time until then. Other activities are fully booked, so while there are opportunities to interact with horses, go shopping, and have light snacks, we end up with some idle time. When it was time to gather, we watched a Japanese-language safety explanation video and then set off in a convoy of six vehicles. We took breaks along the way, sharing stories from movies and taking photos at scenic points. There was no Japanese interpreter, which was a bit lonely. The ranch is in a valley surrounded by mountains, and because it hasn't been touched by humans, it has a sacred atmosphere. In the latter half, we just moved forward without worrying about the ups and downs of the mountain paths or the muddy puddles! Both the driver and the passengers had a great time.

By the end, the T-shirt I bought the day before was covered in mud, and I had a good laugh at the muddy nose shadow! It's best to wear clothes and bring items that you don't mind getting dirty. The gathering time was around 7 AM, and the return bus departed at 1 PM. You could either book activities for the afternoon and spend the whole day or return to Waikiki for some free time in the afternoon. I went with my two daughters in their 20s and my parents in their 60s, and we're already thinking about what to do next time.

P.S. I think it depends on the weather, so be sure to check for cancellations. There are several pickup points, so look for a convenient one.

I was able to fully enjoy the great outdoors at Kualoa Ranch while off-roading. It was a lot of fun driving while taking in the scenery. The guide was also great, taking photos and being considerate by talking to us in English.

However, the dust was quite intense, and I ended up covered in sand, so I would appreciate it if that could be mentioned in the tour's precautions. After the tour, I changed into a fresh outfit.

It was a fun tour riding buggies through the grounds of Kualoa Ranch. I think it's the best tour within Kualoa Ranch. A guide accompanies you, but all explanations at the points are in English, so for Japanese people who are not good at English, you might just have to feel the atmosphere.

The dust is quite intense, and your clothes and bags will get pretty dirty, so you need to be careful about what you wear and bring. Also, be careful when putting on the goggles after attaching them to the helmet, as it can get your face dirty.

Since neither of us speaks any English, we were worried about how it would go, but upon arrival, the check-in guidance and the reception for each activity had a separate announcement saying, "For Japanese speakers, please go this way," so we were able to use the services with peace of mind. The four-wheeler was an automatic vehicle, so we could drive it just like a car in Japan. One thing to note is that while driving, mud and water from the car in front can splash onto you.
