I'm not good with thrill rides, but I had no problem with parasailing. The view of the Hawaiian sea from above was beautiful and felt great. I did get a little rain when we were up there, but that also became a nice memory. I asked another crew member to take photos for me from below, but there were also people who brought their cameras up with them. If I have the chance again, I would like to try it at 150 meters next time.

I was quite nervous since it was my first time paragliding, but the explanations were thorough, and I had a great atmosphere with the other participants! Since we were staying at a hotel in Ala Moana, we could easily walk to the Hilton. Although it was said to take 2-3 hours, we signed up at 11:00, and since it was just the four of us, we were back at the hotel by 12:30.

I couldn't take pictures of myself while flying, so I asked the crew to take photos, and they captured some natural expressions, which became a wonderful memory. Instead of buying photos, I received an SD card with dozens of pictures for $30, so I felt it was worth it to request the shoot.

I chose a height of 120 meters this time. I was torn between 120 meters and 150 meters, and before the experience, I was scared, so I opted for 120 meters. I had a reservation for 8 AM on April 30th (Sunday). However, when I woke up, it was cold and raining, and I wondered if it would be okay. I got ready anyway, and just as I was about to leave, the phone in my room rang. They informed me that due to the rain, it was canceled. I managed to catch that I could reschedule for the afternoon or another time, and in the end, I moved it to the next day (May 1st) at 12:00 PM. Since it was rainy and cold all day, I think it would have been canceled even if I had changed the time.

Rescheduling for the next day was definitely the right choice! The weather cleared up, and the sky was bright blue. It was perfect for parasailing. There were no other Japanese people in the group; instead, there were Chinese, Australians, Spanish speakers, and people from Colorado, so we didn’t take pictures of each other. I put my smartphone in a waterproof case with a strap and off we went into the sky! It was beautiful and breathtaking. I did take some photos with my smartphone, but the weather was so nice that I couldn’t see the screen well and had to rely on instinct to take the shots.

When we came down, we splashed into the sea, but it was just a little bit on my backside. However, others seemed to be getting soaked up to their chests, and it looked like they were having fun with it.

The staff took some great photos for us, which I purchased for $30. Unfortunately, I lost the SD card with the photos in the sea afterward (crying).

The boat was very bumpy, so motion sickness medication is a must. Also, try to enjoy the distant views and laugh! I think that helps with not getting seasick. A Chinese girl looked like she was feeling unwell.

I debated between 120 meters and 150 meters, but 120 meters was more than enough.

For reference, I gave a $20 tip for two people when we got off.

パラセイリング日和でした。
乗り合わせたのは日本人は他にはいなくて中国人やオーストラリア人やスペイン語圏の人とコロラドから来た人たちだったので、写真を撮りあうことはしませんでした。
自分のスマホをストラップ付きの防水ケースに入れていざ上空へ！！
とてもきれいで感動でした。
スマホで写真を撮るには撮りましたが、天気が良すぎて液晶が見えずに勘で撮るしかなかったです。

降りてくるときには海にチャポンってしてくれましたがおしりがちょっとつく程度でした。
でも他の人は胸まで浸からせたり、お客さんを見ていろいろやってるみたいです。

スタッフの人が撮ってくれた写真はとても良く撮れてました。30ドルで購入です。
しかし、せっかく購入した写真のSDカード、そのあと海でなくしてしまいました(泣)

ボートはとても揺れるので酔い止めは必須です。
そしてなるべく遠くの眺めに感動しながら笑ってましょう！その方が酔わないと思います。

Although it was separate from the activity fee, I purchased a GoPro video and photos taken with a DSLR. These are pictures that you can't take yourself, so I highly recommend them.

*To catch the wind for parasailing, the speedboat moves at quite a pace. If you are prone to motion sickness, I recommend taking anti-nausea medication beforehand.

What an awesome ride! The shuttle picked us up at out hotel and took us to the boat. After a brief check in we were on our way. I was scared to death, but everyone on the boat was very reassuring. Parasailing was one of the best experiences of my life. The view was amazing and it wasn't scary at all. It was like sitting on a swing. I will definitely do it again when I return to Hawaii.
