I have used VeLTRA in other countries and found many good plans, so I used it again in Hawaii this time.

I went on a mother-daughter trip and was lucky enough to find a monitor tour where the second person was free, so I booked the 5-star option! Since I thought I would be drinking on the way back, I added the shuttle service option.

**Flow of the Experience**
First, the shuttle service was very clear and smooth. The person in charge handed out stickers that served as identification on the boat and instructed us to place them in a visible spot. I stuck mine on the back of my phone case. Drink tickets were also distributed at this time.

Once we arrived at the location, it was finally time to board. The hula girls and staff warmly welcomed us. After showing the sticker we received, we were guided to our designated areas. Since we had the 5-star option, we took the elevator to the top deck. Upon reaching the fourth floor, a friendly staff member confirmed my name and guided me to my seat.

Once seated, we enjoyed welcome champagne and snacks, and when the lobster was served, the piano performance began. The piano played continuously until just before sunset. After the captain's greeting, we all toasted together, and the captain made rounds to greet each table, happily posing for photos as well. After that, everyone enjoyed their meals freely or stepped out onto the deck to take in the views. One male captain spoke to us and was incredibly fluent in Japanese and entertaining! I wish I had asked for a commemorative photo! All the staff were wonderful and had a great attitude!

Time flew by, and around 7 PM, the lights dimmed, and the jazz performance began, reaching its climax. The female vocalist celebrated those with birthdays or anniversaries that day with a song. So, if you're celebrating a birthday or anniversary, don't be shy to raise your hand when asked!

Then, as the event came to an end, we disembarked at the signal from the vocalist and took the shuttle bus back to the hotel. It was a whirlwind two and a half hours!

**Food**
When we sat down, there were already plenty of snacks like nuts, cheese, prosciutto, and dried fruits on the table. The welcome champagne was served immediately. Everything was delicious! The main course was lobster and steak. Since I have a slight shellfish allergy, I asked to substitute the lobster for fish, and the sautéed salmon was very tasty. There were also plenty of vegetables. The steak was tender and easy to eat. I could eat that forever. The cheesecake for dessert was delicious and topped with lots of berries!

The menu on the table included not only the alcohol options but also the schedule and details of the dishes, which was very easy to understand! Additionally, we could go out onto the deck at any time, and the food was brought to us while we were seated, so we could comfortably enjoy the sunset.

**Special Thanks**
A staff member was assigned to our table and provided excellent service. I asked questions in my limited English, but they clearly explained their recommended drinks and the sunset time, always with a smile—just the best. There was a minor issue that arose, but they handled it very smoothly, which impressed me. Thank you, Brandon!

**Note**
The shuttle bus was cold. The boat was also a bit cool, and I wore a thin jacket over my sleeveless dress the whole time. It can get quite rocky, so I recommend taking motion sickness medication.

母娘の二人旅で今回は２人目無料のモニターツアーが運良く空いていたので5スターを申し込みました！帰りはお酒も飲むしと思って送迎のオプション追加。
《流れ》
まず送迎はとてもわかりやすく、スムーズでした。
迎えの担当の方が船の中で自分の身分証となるシールを配ってくださりわかりやすい所に貼るように言われました。私はスマホケースの裏に貼りました。ドリンクチケットもこの時配られます。

現地に着いたらいよいよ乗船、フラガールやスタッフの方がたくさん迎えてくださいました。船に乗ると配られたシールを見せ各自の導線に誘導されます。5スターだったので最上階のデッキへエレベーターであがりました。４階にあがると感じの良いスタッフの方に名前を確認された後席に案内されました。

席についてウェルカムシャンパンとおつまみを楽しみロブスターが出てきた頃にピアノ演奏等が始まりました。ピアノはサンセットの時間前くらいまでずっと弾いてくれてます。
キャプテンの挨拶でみんなで乾杯したあと、キャプテンが各テーブルを回って挨拶してくれます。記念撮影にも快くこたえてくれてました。
その後は各々自由に食事を楽しんだりデッキに出て外の景色を楽しんだりしてました。
１人の男性キャプテンが話しかけてくれたのですが、めちゃくちゃ日本語堪能で面白かったです！記念撮影頼めばよかった！とにかくスタッフみなさん感じがよくて素敵でした！
時間はあっという間で、19時頃になるとライトダウンしてジャズ演奏がはじまりクライマックス、ボーカルの女性がその日誕生日や記念日の方々を歌でお祝いしてました。なので誕生日や記念日で利用される方は聞かれたら恥ずかしがらずに挙手を(^^)

そしてそのまま終わりを迎え、ボーカルの女性の合図で下船→送迎のバスでホテルに戻りました。
あっという間すぎる2時間半でした。



《お食事》
席に着くとすでにナッツチーズ生ハムドライフルーツ等がたくさん乗ったおつまみがすでにテーブルにありました。ウェルカムシャンパンもすぐに提供されました。どれも美味！
メインはロブスターとステーキで、私はちょっと甲殻類アレルギーなので念の為ロブスターをお魚に変えてもらったけどサーモンのソテーとても美味しかったです。お野菜もたくさんのってました。
ステーキはしっとりしてて飲めるように食べられました。あれはいくらでも食べたい。
デザートのチーズケーキ美味しくベリーたくさん乗ってた！



テーブルにおいてあるメニューにアルコールの他にもタイムスケジュールや料理の内容が書いてありとてもわかり易くてよかった！
またデッキには好きな時間に出られ、お料理は席にいる時に合わせて持ってきてくれたのでサンセットも気兼ねなく見に行って大丈夫です。

《スペシャルサンクス》
席には担当のスタッフの方がついてくれてとても親切に色々とサービスしてくれました。拙い英語で聞きましたが、おすすめのアルコールやサンセット時間、なんでもわかりやすく教えてくれたし、常に笑顔、最高。
あと、ちょっとだけ困った事が起こったけどすごくスマートに助けてくれて感激しました。Brandonありがとう(^^)

《注意》
送迎はバス寒い。船内も涼しめで私は袖なしのワンピースでしたが薄手の上着ずっと着てました。
結構揺れる時もあるので酔い止めおすすめ。

First of all, the waiter who attended us was very attentive and had just the right amount of brightness without being pushy. The dinner was delicious, and many people of all ages seemed to be quite full. When the fireworks started, everyone moved to the side to watch, and the boat tilted noticeably. But apparently, that's okay. The live performance was wonderful, and the MC singer was good too! For those on the Five Star, you go up to the fourth floor, but there was a smoking area outside on the same floor, which was appreciated by smokers who feel a bit out of place. Also... the inside of the boat is cold!!! Perhaps because Westerners tend to have a higher body temperature than Japanese people... if you're attending in a sleeveless, thin dress, it might get really chilly, so please be careful.

We chose the buffet for our meal. The roast beef was the main dish and it was okay. I read in reviews that it was very cold due to the air conditioning, but it wasn't that cold where we were. The showtime with the dancing and singing was very enjoyable.

I had the best time enjoying the famous lobster, the sunset, and the show from a window-side seat.

Although the seats next to each other are close, in between courses, you can relax on the many chairs at the edge of the ship and enjoy the sunset, which allowed for a nice sense of privacy as well.

窓際の席で、名物のロブスターや夕日、ショーを楽しみ最高の時間でした。

隣同士の席は近いものの、料理と料理の合間には船の端に沢山ある椅子に座り、のんびり夕日を眺められますので、プライベート感も同時に楽しめてよかったです。

If you want to take a break from the walking, shopping, and hotel hustle and bustle around Waikiki I suggest a sunset dinner cruise on the Star of Honolulu.

The five star experience on the top deck Nova Room is a relaxing evening filled with well-made bar drinks, superior cuisine, piano and mood music, and sparkling views of coastal O'ahu.

The Nova Room experience is a step above the normal pricing for the cruise, but is a good value for all you receive.

I especially enjoyed the time to talk and relax with my wife, to enjoy the coastal scenery, and to savor the various courses of the dinner as described in the promotional materials.

The service was excellent throughout the evening and the whole experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend the Nova Room experience on the forth deck of the Star of Honolulu.

I didn't have high expectations for the food from the beginning. I ended up disembarking hungry because I didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the flavors. The reason was that people sitting closer to the food went to get their dishes first, and since my seat was farther away, I was at the end of the line. I was waiting to get my first serving, but those at the front had already finished eating and were lined up behind me. It felt like those closer to the food were able to get seconds one after another, while I had to wait a long time to get my turn. However, just having the ordered sparkling wine wasn't enough to fill me up, and when I stood up to go for a second serving, a show started right in front of the food. Naturally, it became difficult to go get food at that point. If I had known about this setup, I wouldn't have ordered the sparkling wine.

料理は初めから期待しておりませんでしたが。味を楽しむ余裕はなく空腹で下船しました。理由としては、料理に近い席の人から順番に料理をとりにいくのですが私は席が離れていた為、最後の方でした1度目の料理をとるため並んでいましたが最初の方の人が既に料理を食べ終わり私の後ろに並んでいました。料理が置かれている席に近い人は次から次へとおかわりをできたた感じでしたが私の先は離れていた為料理をとるために並ぶ時間がかなり長かったです。でも注文したスパークリングワインだけではお腹を満たす訳にはいかず2度目の料理を取りに行こうと席をたったところ並べられている料理の前でショーが始まりました。当然料理を取りに行く事は困難な状態になりました。このような設営状態である事がわかっていればスパークリングワインは注文しませんでした。あと、たまたまその日日本のテレビでこの船の事が紹介されたいて食べ放題ビュッフェも美味しいと放送していたと娘から連絡がありましたが現実とはかけ離れていた感じです。個人的な感想として料理はサービスで無料で提供されている物だと思い夜景、船内のショーを楽しむだけに参加される事をお勧めします。

We participated as a couple over the age of 60. Since we were there, we decided to go to the top floor. We dressed in a way that didn't require us to touch the code. By the window, there were couples from various countries who seemed to be newlyweds, immersed in their own world, while the center seats were mostly families enjoying their meals, the scenery, and jazz. During the Memorial Day event, there was a sense of unity in celebration, but everyone enjoyed themselves at their own pace at their respective tables. Of course, we also had a leisurely and relaxed time.

The entrance to the stern was close, and it was great to see the fireworks as well as the hotel buildings on both sides. After the fireworks, when I held the door to keep it from closing like a doorman, everyone thanked me. 花火の後、ドアマンの如くドアが閉まるのを抑えていたら、皆さんにサンキュウと言われました。日本人の方にも言われ、乗客の一人ですとお互い大笑いでした。
料理は美味しく、量も丁度良かったです。妻も満足し、大変喜んでいました。
残念ながら、船長出迎えは有りませんでした。改善を望みます。
今年は別のデッキにトライしたいと思います。

I booked a guaranteed window seat or private seat with a three-star rating, including transportation. On Friday, it was fully booked due to the fireworks on the ship, which made it feel a bit cramped. In reality, I went out on the deck to watch the fireworks, so I thought a window seat wasn't a must. The fireworks viewed alongside the city of Waikiki were the best experience that can only be enjoyed from the sea. The food was, in a word, quintessentially American. The jazz and Polynesian show lifted my spirits and made me feel glad I participated.

I visited on March 17, 2024. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. (The dessert was American... too big and too sweet.) However, even when converted to dollars, it's expensive! It's at a level where hotel pickup from Waikiki would be reasonable. It's disappointing that there’s no hotel pickup at this price. There’s a show that keeps you entertained from start to finish, so it's fine even if you have kids. At the end, everyone dances together. In fact, walking around the buffet might be more of a nuisance. If you go, I recommend the course meal. It's pricey, but worth it.

全体的に雰囲気もお料理もよく楽しめました。（デザートはアメリカン・・・。デカすぎ甘すぎはあります）
しかし、ドル換算で考えても高い！waikikiからのホテル送迎ついていいレベル。この値段でホテル送迎無しはがっかりくるレベルです。
最初から最後まで飽きさせないショーがあるので、お子さんいても大丈夫。最後は全員で踊ります。むしろビュッフェで歩き回る方が邪魔かも。行くならコース料理の方をお勧めします。高いけど。

We booked a 3-star experience for three family members. Once we boarded the ship, the meal started before departure. There were no Japanese-speaking staff, so I thought I wouldn't understand English, but I managed to communicate through the atmosphere.

We started with the salad that was already on the table, then enjoyed the all-you-can-eat cheese and fruits in the outside corridor, and then the lobster was served. Since it was a whole lobster, I didn't know how to eat it, so a staff member showed me how. As everyone has mentioned, it was delicious, but my hands got messy. They provided us with wet towels.

The next meat dish was not as bad as some had said and was tasty. However, the cooking level varied for different people. The coconut cake for dessert was also delicious, and overall, I thought the meal was good.

Since it was Friday, after dinner, we moved to the deck to wait for the fireworks. It was windy and cold. I was unsure about the final direction of the ship and which side would have the fireworks, but it turned out that the right side facing the front of the ship was where the fireworks were. Perhaps they faced the port so we could leave right after the fireworks ended?

After enjoying the fireworks, we returned to our seats, and the Polynesian dance show began. One of the performers was very energetic and danced right next to us, which was impressive. The Polynesian dance show was quite long, with the performers changing costumes multiple times and dancing to several songs. After that, there was a disco-style participatory dance competition with old songs and original choreography that everyone danced to. The enthusiastic staff helped to hype it up. 金曜だったので、食事後、デッキに移動して花火待ち。風が強くて寒かったです。また最終的な船の向きが分からず、どっちサイドで花火みれるの？となりましたが、船の前側を向いて右サイドが花火側になりました。花火終わったらすぐに帰れるように港の方を向いてたのかな？
花火も堪能して、元の席に帰るとポリネシアンダンスショーが始まりました。

古い曲にオリジナル振り付けをみんなで踊ります。こちらもテンションの高いスタッフさんが盛り上げてくれます。最後のYMCAが知っているだけに結構楽しかった。

I chose the hotel shuttle plan, so it was easy to participate. I was able to chat with strangers sitting next to me at the table (an elderly white couple from California), and it was enjoyable. During the meal, there was singing and dancing on the floor, which really lifted my spirits. From the upper deck, we could see the night view of Honolulu, and it was a different kind of emotional experience compared to the scenery from the beach, which I think will remain a memorable moment.

I participated with my daughter at Pacific Star Cruise. To put it simply, it was so good that I definitely want to bring the whole family, including grandparents, next time!

The variety of food at the buffet was limited, but we ate until we were full! In particular, my child loved the yakisoba and miso chicken.

And above all, the entertainment was fantastic! There were hula performances by both men and women, as well as couples, and my child was able to join in on the hula experience! Since we made a reservation for Friday, we were able to enjoy the Hilton fireworks along with the night view of Waikiki, and we ended with a group dance! Perhaps aiming for the Japanese audience? We all danced to YMCA! Since it’s a song that kids know, everyone from young to old could join in☆ The dancers were also very entertaining and had a great sense of service! This was a fun island activity and a romantic dinner for two. Other passengers also looked to be having a great time. The best part of the cruise was the opportunity to see the waikiki beach from the water. The weather cooperated and we also had a beautiful sunset. All of the food was picture perfect and tasty but smaller portions than I expected and it was certainly the smallest maine lobster I have ever seen. The upstairs on the ship was set up like a very nice restaurant, white tablecloths and the wait staff were in black suits - very fancy. The wait staff was polite and as professional as could be but as far as I could tell there was only one waiter for the entire top section this made getting drinks a bit slow. The jazz music was mostly just piano and was too loud for the room the piano had a microphone set up and it seems like it could have been turned down a notch. I shouldn't have to strain to hear the person I'm eating with who it just across the table, the couple next to us made the same comment about the volume. The singer on the other hand was wonderful and had a beautiful voice. My expectation was there would be some mellow jazz playing while we were eating, I suppose the singer had to provide some entertainment on one of the other decks while the piano played upstairs. All in all an okay experience but the photo ads and descriptions are playing it up a bit. Again best part of the voyage was the view.

This was my fourth dinner cruise on the Star of Honolulu. It was my first time experiencing the fireworks on a Friday. If you're in a small group, I recommend getting a window seat for a small additional fee. The food was decent. In the past, there was an all-you-can-eat crab option, but this time it was just one plate. I was looking forward to the crab (laughs). After dinner and the entertainment, we watched the fireworks in Waikiki from the sea. They were a bit far away. Since they could only be seen from the port side, almost everyone gathered on that side, causing the boat to tilt. Well, it was still good.

Our evening on the Star of Honolulu was an excellent experience! Ample parking was easy and accessible with 2 lots within walking distance. The check-in process was a breeze, make sure your voucher is ready. Waiting to board we were entertained with local dancers and music. Time to board! We were sorted by class and our trip to the top deck was a nice elevator ride up. We were seated at a nice intimate table with large window perfect for viewing. First on the table was a charcuterie board with tasty cheeses, meats and fruit. Don’t forget the champagne! As the cruise got underway were able to chat with the guests seated next to us. The dancers and singers provided more entertainment as we departed. The music throughout the night was relaxing.

On our journey to view the sunset in front of Diamon Head we encountered some whales! A happy surprise. The lobster course was delicious. We were treated to a sorbet course in the middle of our dining experience which was tasty. The food was flavorful and appetizing. Delicious! During the trip you are able to take many great pictures and they even have a photographer on standby.

The sunset was amazing as well as the views from the Waikiki area. The journey home was more intimate and with the lowered light and live jazz music. Dancing is also encouraged. The cheesecake dessert did not disappoint. The journey was full of memories and was the perfect end to an amazing time in Hawaii. Overall this cruise is very recommended to anyone looking for memories, delicious food and a wonderful evening.

To celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we both went to Hawaii for the first time. We participated in a luxurious 5-star course.

Welcomed by a hula performance, we boarded the ship and took the elevator to the top floor, the 4th floor. Inside the calm ship, with a grand piano, we were shown to a window seat and offered welcome champagne. When I mentioned that I wasn't comfortable with alcohol, they brought us non-alcoholic champagne.

As we set sail, live piano music began, and we started our meal. It began with appetizers, followed by a main lobster salad and fruit sorbet. For our second drink, we had Blue Hawaii, which also had a non-alcoholic option.

During a break in the meal, we stepped out onto the deck to see the sun beginning to set over the ocean, creating a vibrant sunset. I couldn't help but take mental snapshots. On the opposite side, the lights of the hotels along Waikiki Beach started to shine, and it was very beautiful.

After reading the reviews, we thought that the three-star experience might be sufficient, so we made a reservation for a window seat with a photo plan.

In the end, we enjoyed the three-star experience very much. The lobster was surprisingly tender and delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and also tasted great. We had no complaints about the food or service.

There were many tourists, and the boat was fully packed. A group from Korea was quite loud, so it was good that we had a window seat. The sunset was very beautiful, and we enjoyed the live performance as well. It gets cold when the sun goes down, so it's good to have a jacket.

If anyone is hesitating, I definitely recommend it!

The pickup location was at the Hokulani, but we paid a total of $4 for two people to change it to the Sheraton. At the pickup location, we were given a sticker indicating our participation in the plan. (Photo 1) The driver who came to pick us up was the only person who spoke Japanese and provided various explanations. When we arrived at the pier, there was usually a welcome dance by both men and women, but due to the weather that day, they were not dancing and greeted us with umbrellas instead. Following the staff's guidance, we took the elevator (Photo 2) to the fourth floor. We were shown to our table, where a bottle of champagne was already prepared and poured for us. (We hadn't ordered the champagne, but it seems it was included in the course?) Just as I thought it would be impossible to finish a whole bottle, they collected it after I poured my second glass. It turned out to be a mistake; I got tipsy after just two glasses of champagne.

Since it was our 40th wedding anniversary, we chose a live show with a buffet/course dinner included / a luxurious 5-course meal (with prime tenderloin), and opted for a guaranteed window seat or private seating + a commemorative photo.

　結婚40周年なので、ライブショーと選べるビュッフェ／コースディナー付き / 豪華5スター（プライムテンダーロイン付き5コース）、オプションで窓際席またはプライベート席確約+記念写真を選択した。　
　席には最初から中央におつまみセットが準備されていた。種類が沢山あり美味しかった。（写真３、４）
　各テーブルにツアーの大まかな流れ、飲み物等を英語と日本語で書いた物が置いてあった。（写真５，６）アルコール抜きはバージンと頼べばよかった。アルコール抜きにはプリメリアの花が添えてあった。
　5スターは3スターに比べればウオシュレットではなかったがトイレも大変きれいで良かった。昨年3スター乗船時くれたカードを渡したら、キーホルダーがもらえた。（写真７）食事中にはキャプテン（女性）の挨拶も、クルーの話しかけもあった。食事の空き時間にほとんどの人は、船外に出て記念写真を撮っていた、
　寄港前5スターはジャズと歌で盛り上がる。3スターは寄港前から大騒ぎになり全てのお客が巻き込まれてしまう。5コースは、落ち着いて座ったままで、ジャズを聞いていればいいので私は個人的には落ち着いた大人の雰囲気の5コースが気に入った。おしぼりはくれるけど3コースは丸ごとロブスター1匹を手と道具で割って食べるので、手に匂いがつくし汚れる。5コースのロブスターは半身に割ってあるのでナイフとフオークで楽々食べることが出来た。
　ドリンクは2杯付、ドリンクの写真右ブルーハワイと左ストロベリーダイリキ（写真８）、右レモンライムと左ラバフロー（写真９）
　ジャズで落ち着いた雰囲気（写真10）、最後は結婚記念日の長さで40年の私達が優勝。記念日のカップルのダンス。最後のコーヒーは時間がなかったせいか、ミルク砂糖なしのブラックで私には苦かった。
　何度もスターオブホノルルに乗船しているので利用できない印刷した写真は持って帰るのにかさばるし沢山あっていらない、写真をデータで欲しいと交渉してもらった結果。セレブレーションプランに加え、私が直接ハワイの会社に電話して20$かかったデータでの写真（2枚）の渡しは、インターネットでの送付ではなく当日USBメモリでもらえた。容量は１G（使えるのは959MB）の中に2枚の写真が入っていた。

I made a reservation for Friday to catch the fireworks launched from Waikiki Beach every Friday. The fireworks viewed from the cruise ship were amazing. The shows and singing on board were also fantastic.

However, with that many people, the restrooms felt insufficient. It seemed like there was always a line for the women's restroom...

I highly recommend making a reservation for Friday!!

毎週金曜日にワイキキビーチから打ち上げされる、花火を狙って、金曜日に予約しました。
クルーズ船から見る花火は最高でした。
船内でのショーや歌も最高でした。

ただあの人数では、トイレが少なく感じました。
特に女子トイレは常に渋滞ができてたような・・・

予約するなら金曜日おすすめです！！

My husband and I really enjoyed the Sunset Snorkel Cruise! The views were beautiful and the crew were so nice! I was nervous about trying to snorkel but the crew was super helpful and I felt safe (life vest and I was able to use a floatie as well) and we saw lots of colorful fish and sea turtles! The cocktail service was great, tasty and generous. Unfortunately during the return portion of the cruise, I felt a bit seasick (did not really affect my enjoyment of the cruise though) so only ate rice for dinner but my husband enjoyed the food which was plentiful. If you are prone to motion sickness (which I am) that would be my only advice, I forgot my accupressure wristbands which do actually work fairly well. I liked that the group was small and we had the freedom to move around and sit and stand where we wanted and all the guests were pleasant and we felt comfortable socializing and getting to talk to other people. I highly recommend this cruise!
