It had been quite a while since I last rode a catamaran, so it was a nice change.

At this time of year, I think you don't have to worry too much about the weather, but since there was a hurricane, I wanted to see the beach as soon as we arrived in Hawaii, so I made a last-minute reservation.
It was fine to book the day before, and I received an immediate confirmation email. There were no issues with check-in on the day.

Boarding involved getting wet up to about my knees, and there’s a rule to shake off the sand from your sandals before getting on. The seating is first-come, first-served, but everyone was courteous and shared.

Once we set sail and headed out, we caught the wind. The front of the boat took quite a bit of spray, but that’s part of the fun of being on a catamaran.
While it was calm at the beach that day, there were significant waves offshore, and we glided over them.
The first half was quite an intense activity, but on the way back, we enjoyed a peaceful sail while taking in the views of Diamond Head and the streets of Waikiki.

Based on my old memories, I headed towards the Sheraton, but I couldn't get through from the pool area and had to take a long detour from the parking lot to reach it.

出航して沖に出ると風を受けて進みます。前方はかなり波を被りますが、それがカタマランの楽しさ。
この日はビーチだと穏やかでしたが、沖は結構な波で、滑空するように波を乗り越えます。
前半はかなり激しいアクティビティでしたが、後半の帰りはダイアモンドヘッドやワイキキの街並みを眺めながら、穏やかなセイリング。
いい写真撮れました。

難点は開催場所。
昔の記憶でシェラトンの辺りに向かうとプールの辺りから通り抜けられず、駐車場の方から大回りしてたどり着きました。
カイマーケットか、プールあたりからはいけそうなんですが、シェラトンの宿泊者限定っぽい感じで。
ルート案内がもう少し情報があれば。

The staff were kind, funny, and absolutely wonderful. They played with my child using water guns. The transportation staff were also friendly and gentlemanly. During snorkeling, when I felt a bit scared, they led me and said, "Let's go together." I've participated in several overseas tours, but I've never felt as safe and enjoyed myself as much as I did here. I highly recommend this tour.

We took a boat from the port, which we reached by bus in about an hour from Ala Moana. The live music was lovely, and the lunch was quite tasty.

On that day, the wind was strong and the water was cold, so I returned to the boat after wading in up to my waist. Since my condition and the water temperature didn't match well, I gave it four stars.

My two college-aged daughters enjoyed kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and swimming for a full two and a half hours. Most of the other guests were having fun in the sea.

At first, it felt like we were walking among the trees, which made the time seem a bit long, but once we reached the area where we could see the ocean, the scenery was beautiful and refreshing. I thought the first zip line would be the most challenging, but the staff worked hard to keep everyone excited, and we had a great time. Crossing the small suspension bridge along the way was probably the funniest part! The transportation to Waikiki was also comfortable.

I used the service in late July. A shuttle bus labeled with the scenery of Kualoa Ranch came to pick us up at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. There were no other Japanese people besides my family.

The transfer took about an hour, and as I had been informed beforehand, the entire briefing was in English. We managed to understand the meeting time and place through gestures and the paper we were given.

We watched a pre-briefing DVD, but since it was in English, we watched the Japanese dubbed version on a separate TV.

I thought it was just a buggy tour, but we stopped at various points, including famous movie filming locations and stunning viewpoints, where the staff took photos for us. My wife and two daughters were very satisfied!

The dust was indeed quite something. Some Americans were dressed casually in T-shirts, shorts, and sandals, but I was glad I participated in athletic wear.

I have always wanted to try this, so I had been on simulation machines and even tried paragliding. I figured I should just memorize the life-threatening words and joined solo (I’m quite the brave mom). Since I would want photos anyway, I made a reservation thinking I would jump from the sky in Hawaii, not from the stage at Kiyomizu Temple, and it was worth every penny—GO JUMP was amazing!

On the Cessna, there were five of us: a Japanese person, a family of three, and a young man who was on his honeymoon and was the only one to try it. We encouraged each other as the altitude kept rising, and I thought, "This looks like the view from a jet's small window!" I was both nervous and excited, and the high-energy instructor captured all our expressions perfectly. I thought it would be really scary, but before I knew it, I was PUSHed out and flying.

After that, I just enjoyed the incredible scenery, feeling like a bird, repeatedly saying "Amazing! Beautiful! The best!" in both Japanese and English, with clouds, the sea, and mountains beneath me! The moment the parachute opened and the spin before landing felt cooler than diving, but with the handsome instructor who does 5 to 10 jumps a day, I had no worries at all. あとはもう、最高の景色と鳥の心になってひたすら「スゴイ！キレイ！最高！」と日本語と英語で繰り返し、雲も海も山も足下にある感覚！パラシュート開く時と、着地前の回旋がダイビングより冷やっとしたけど、多い時は1日5〜10回はJUMPするというイケメンインストラクターの優しくオモロいタンデムで何の不安もありませんでした。垂直落下アトラクションの内蔵が残る感覚は大嫌いだけど、これは全くありません。耳抜き下手くそで右耳が聞こえにくくなってしまったけど、一晩寝たら治りました。
迎えの車の中で昨日も飛んだと言う男性「NOT FALL, FLY!」と言うてはったけど、ホンマにその通りでした。安くはないけど、それだけの価値は絶対にあると保証します。

Unlike Japanese riding clubs that use racehorses, the horses here are gentle and calm, so I wasn't scared at all. The scenery, with both the sea and mountains, was stunning and breathtaking. I don't think you could ride for two hours in Japan for this price. It's a great deal.

The stargazing event at Ko Olina in HAWAII was really great! ✨ Although the lights from the surrounding hotels made it a bit difficult to see some stars, the explanations about the stars were thorough. We got to use two telescopes: one high-precision telescope with electronic GPS and a regular one, and all participants took turns looking through them. The teacher also provided explanations while showing the stars on a PC screen. They spoke in broken Japanese, so families with children might find that the kids may not understand the English explanations. Japanese participants should keep this in mind when joining!
