Oahu
Great tour, you get good information before and after the park, and the set up Arizona and Missouri was awesome.
Wonderful trip with lots of information shared with our group. Very comfortable on the bus. She did a great job!
Definitely need sunscreen! We enjoyed this tour, especially the historic importance of the place. Take a lot pictures.
Been to PH a few years ago, and this tour was a good tour to get what you want to really see Arizona and Missouri
The Arizona was an amazing experience. The rest of the day was great however we wished for a bit more time of the ground, besides that great tours
We were picked up by Shorts exactly on time and found our guide to be helpful, kind and informative. He was a great driver and answered any questions we had. He provided clear instructions on what to do when and was very patient with our group that ranged from the elderly in a wheelchair to the young kids. He gave us options on lunch and have us plenty of time to sightsee. Shorts is highly recommended!!!
We really enjoyed our time on the tour it was very well presented.
My hubby wanted to tour Pearl Harbor on his birthday, so I booked this tour and we had the best time! Nani, our tour guide, was the best! He was pleasant, funny and just a great source of information - we honestly did learn so much about Honolulu, Oahu, the Hawaiian culture and Pearl Harbor itself! The tour itself was awesome ... tour bus was on time for pickup, we had the perfect amount of time both for the Arizona memorial and the Mighty Mo tour. It was just a really great day, and my hubby thoroughly enjoyed HIS day spent learning some history! Thank you!!
We wound up taking this tour because the ones through Holland America were booked months in advance. What a blessing it was too! Oli was fantastic and I was in tears by the we got to Pearl Harbor for our tour because he so vividly told of the events before the attacks and then the attack itself. I'll never forget the experience and so very glad I made this resevation.
The tour was very entertaining and the guides knowledgeable about everything we wanted to learn about. The weather was drizzly and overcast but they offered rain ponchos free of charge which was very helpful. Would use them again!
Thank you!
Our Pearl Harbor tour was wonderful! Do it early as it was starting to get hot, and our tour guide Maureen was amazing. She’s a wealth of knowledge!
Great experience, thank you for putting this tour together!
Noni our tour guide made this experience even better! I have a young child and he engaged with him and made the day fun. Pearl Harbor was somber and something like I’ve never experienced. The USS Battleship Missouri was neat as well. Be sure to get some Dole whip at the snack stand before you leave!
We spent a very good time there. Our guide, his name is translated as Handsome in English as per his words was Amazing. He told us interesting stories all throughout the way. Also he explained everything in details before our tour.
As a first time visitor to Hawaii, this 7 hour tour of Honolulu and Pearl Harbor covered everything I was hoping for. Our guide Finny was extremely knowledgable and courteous. The first part of the tour focused on the history of the islands, the culture prior the American annexation and the impact of our occupation on the people and their culture. In addition to taking us to many historical sites, Finny pointed out some familiar Hawaii 50 filming locations and the harbor where the Gilligan's Island 3 hour tour started. The 2nd part of the tour was Pearl Harbor. The visit included dedicated tickets to the USS Arizona Memorial (where the war started) and the USS Missouri Battleship (where the Japanese surrendered to General MacArthur. Finny pointed out many interesting details of the attack and some of the heroes of the day, that I was not previously aware of. The visit was a very moving and memorable experience.
Security does not allow you to enter the base with any back packs or bags. You can carry small items like cell phones and a water bottle. Storage lockers are available.
I highly recommend this tour for first time visitors to Pearl Harbor and Honolulu.
Thank you Royal Star: for good buses, good guided, access to the Arizona ,and plenty more tme to explore Pearl Harbor
Arizona was an experience, I am so thankful I got to do this while I was here.
I highly recommend this tour. Anyone who has an interest in history will enjoy it. It was moving standing above the Arizona where World War II started and on the Missouri where the surrender agreement was signed. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and professional.
Got to experience extra things we would not have been able to set up. thankyou royal star
Great experience, Arizona was very commemorating!!
No USS Arizona, it seems like it is getting hard to get the tickets the companies were saying, rest was great though!
Tour guide/bus driver, Ms. Lola, was extremely upbeat and cheerful, provided a fun and interesting city/area tour, included all the “best spots” for everything. Ms. Lola was awesome and even though some of the scheduled events were delayed, reassured that “no one would be left behind”. The company also did a great job securing tickets to the memorial (Arizona) when other companies could not.
Arizona was beautiful, the rest of the park is full of information to tribute to this sad day.
Porbably could have seen a bit more if I had more time.
Kinda felt lke the tour wasn't as great without Arizona.
First of all our tour guide Humu Humu was so cool! It was very interesting to hear his stories about the culture, his life background, and the history of the island. Pearl Harbor was absolutely beautiful and must be done if it's your first time in Oahu. The views there were very scenic and emotional. I would definitely do it again if I come back!
What a fantastic experience, this was definitely something that my hubby wanted to do on his bucket list, so glad we got to do this.
The tour guide we had was informative and friendly and we had plenty of time to wander about after our tour.
Definitely a must see.
Firstly our open top tour bus turned up on time and we was warmly welcomed by our host Nani Popolo ( a real gem ) .
He gave us the good news straight away , that we had tickets for the Arizona memorial ( no stand by queue's for us ) .
Nani gave us in depth information throughout the day and was always on hand for photo's etc . His humour and song covered the many different age groups and genre's aboard.
The Arizona , Missouri and Oklahoma sites were all as memorizing as each other , in their own different ways .
This trip was a bucket list item for my 65th birthday , we travelled from the UK for it . Our tour was worth every penny .
Didn't secure arizona tickets, and then the tour was cut short giving me less than at pearl harbor.
Everyone who comes to Hawaii should visit the Pearl Harbor and view the film and find out why it's very important in our History. You will leave with a better understanding of the events that led to the memorial. Roberts provides excellent guides and service and the city tour adds to the magnificent Day you will have. Put it on your Do NOT want to Miss IT.
