It was my first time snorkling and I had so much fun. the sandbar is definitely a place to go for. Also, getting to watch the turtles swimming was amazing!

My "good" vs "outstanding" rating is 100% dependent on the time of the year. So I had actually done this trip before but in July which I loved. I ended up spending my bday alone during the day so decided I wanted to come back out to the sandbar. Well nothing had changed from the last time, same good food, same great crew, great snorkeling. Not sure if it matters but when I went in July the water was knee deep, when I went in October it was up to my chest. Now I'm only 5ft tall so wasn't gonna drown but it was just different. It was also a little more windy so I'm just gonna chalk it up to a new "season". Still had a great experience but I will more than likely make my sandbar trips in the summer vs the "fall". Still a great friendly crew so don't forget to bring cash to tip them at the end!

I booked this cruise for myself and my family. My son was 11 at the time and about 4 feet tall. I only say this so it makes sense. Well we got there later than we wanted to (we live on island and drove ourselves). Couldn't find parking and the crew let us know where we could park because the little store next to the boats is actually closed for good so that worked out! So yes if you are driving yourself get there early so you aren't freaking out too lol. We got on and they took us to the sandbar where they set up a volleyball net for us and we all got off where the water was down to our knees. So my child wasn't in any danger of drowning. The meal was the most basic hamburger bbq thing you can probably imagine so don't think you are getting some 5 course meal. It def hit the spot and I did not mind it at all. They offered some beer choices and wine as well as non-alcoholic drinks. The alcohol was not free. Not a big deal at all and didn't expect it to be. They took card and cash :) After a little bit of being out there we went out to a reef and were given gear to go snorkeling. It was beautiful. We were also pointed out things such as Gilligan's island at some point. Lastly we saw turtles and the crew had music playing through the trip. They were very nice. Don't bring too much stuff with you tho because when it was at 100% capacity you had to really squish. Towel, water, sunscreen and your own alcohol is what you should probably bring lol. Overall great July experience, great crew and perfect for taking your visiting family and friends from the mainland. Don't forger to bring cash to leave tips at the end of the trip!

A must do!!! The crew was awesome! We did not expect the snorkelling was gonna be that awesome. Got to see some sea turtles too.

I had a nice time, but I did not see a lot of turtles or beautiful fish , just 2 turtles.. The water was nice.

The crew was fun and easy going. One of the crew men urged us to do the snorkeling and it was one of the best decisions we made. While on the sand bar 3' of water) we saw a small fish that hung around our family the entire time. It was the coolest thing to experience. Then my 7 year old and I went to the reef to snorkel and saw several large sea turtle just a few feet away. It was awesome.

The snorkeling place is good! So many fishes! Turtle view is fine as we are a bit far from those turtles and we can only see their head for a second when they come out of water for air. The sandbar itself is good too, but not sure what to do with it except playing volleyball.

What an amazing experience! You will not regret taking this excursion. People are beyond friendly and helpful and they really make it a pleasant experience. Sandbar was beautiful and snorkeling was really fun. Would do again for sure!

This was my favorite activity . The sand bar was spectacular and snorkeling with sea turtles made my whole life . Would 100 recommend to any one

Had a great time! Played volleyball on the sandbar for about an hour while the water was about 2.5 feet deep. Had a good hearty lunch with hamburgers, baked beans, pineapple, and a bag of chips. Boat then toured us over an area where sea turtles usually are. We saw well over 2 dozen, some were on the small side and some were massive in size. Boat moved over to the moon shaped reef where we snorkled for about an hour. Saw many tropical fish.
.Wear lots of sunblock and reapply.
Ample parking and easy to find.

We saw plenty of sea turtles along the reef. The water was a bit cold, especially with the wind, but overall would recommend it. They provide small snacks and drinks. Also provide snorkel gear and two SUP boards.

This was a great excursion and would love to recommend to anyone

Crystal was very patient with our party of 11. Allen was so awesome working with the rest of the group on the boat. They both made everyone feel welcomed and safe, that enabled us all to enjoy our day.

The trip was awesome and memorable. Captain Allan and Ervin made everyone feel safe during the whole sandbar adventure.

We enjoyed walking on the sandbar and swimming near the edge and finding turtles amongst the coral reefs

We had such an amazing time. All the staff were very helpful, attentive, and made the trip so much more fun. I will definitely do it again when back in Hawaii.

The crew was super fun and really paid attention to everyone onboard. Everyone was included in all activities while on the sandbar. I would highly recommend this specific company. They provided SUP boards, snorkels, and lead us to see the sea turtles (they were HUGE)! One of the most fun activities we had while in Oahu.

Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to go sandbar . It's easy access and best way to kayak to sandbar !

What an amazing experience. The kayaks are great. They are sit-on-top kayaks which makes them much easier to get back on should you capsize or after you get out at the sandbar. The team shows you everything you need to know about the Kayak, how to get out to the sandbar and how to find your way back.

A short 30-45 min paddle out to the sandbar and you are in heaven. Get out in calm, waist deep, crystal clear, warm ocean water and look all around at the beauty and peacefulness nature provides. This was probably the most relaxed I was during the entire vacation. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone.

Beautiful views of Kaneohe park and sandbar, friendly service, a hidden gem on Oahu.

They accommodated my sudden reservation regarding Hawaii. The sandbar had amazing transparency. The BBQ hamburger I had for lunch was freshly made and very delicious. The boat was also clean and comfortable. It was a wonderful experience.

It was an incredible downpour. Before going, I looked at many pictures of Heaven's Beach and thought that since the water was about knee-high, I could enjoy it even though I'm not a good swimmer, so I made a reservation. However, due to the heavy rain, the water level was high, and at 155 cm, I was barely able to stand on my tiptoes.

The waves were rough and murky, which was scary, so only my husband went snorkeling while I waited. I was able to enjoy paddleboarding with others who were waiting, but I had imagined a calm, clear sea with turtles swimming nearby, so I was quite disappointed.

The lunch was delicious, and the crew on the boat were nice people, but the sea in February was freezing cold, and everyone else seemed eager to go back. It was at a level that could be laughed about, so I hope to have a revenge trip someday.

ものすごい大雨でした。行く前に天国の海の写真をたくさん見て、高さも膝上ぐらいで泳ぎが苦手でも楽しめそうだと思って予約しました。大雨のせいで水位が高く、私は155㎝ですが爪先立ちしてあごギリギリでした。
波も荒く濁っていて怖かったので、主人だけシュノーケリングに行き私は待っていました。
待っている人でサップ等をして楽しめましたが、膝丈の穏やかな透き通った海で亀が近くに泳いでいるのをイメージしていたので、かなり残念でした。
ランチは美味しくて船の方々もいい人でしたが、2月の海の雨は震えるほど寒く、他の方もみんな早く帰りたそうでした。笑い話になるぐらいのレベルだったので、またいつかリベンジしたいと思います。

It was raining from the morning, but miraculously, it cleared up at the sandbar. ☀️ I played volleyball with the staff, and the cold was blown away. The hamburgers for lunch were also hearty and delicious. My child spilled hot cocoa and got burned, but they quickly helped cool it down with ice and even lent us some ointment, which was really helpful. Thanks to the friendly and cheerful staff, we had a wonderful day.

すぐに氷で冷やして下さり　軟膏まで貸してくださって　本当に助かりました。フレンドリーで陽気なスタッフのお陰で楽しい１日が過ごせまた。

Many reviews mentioned that the sea in Hawaii is cold in February, so I prepared myself for that. I visited in late February, but we were blessed with great weather and had a beautiful sandbar experience, which made it worth participating! The staff took many memorable photos of us at the sandbar, and we enjoyed a delicious barbecue until we were full, which left us very satisfied. We even encountered a honu (sea turtle) and had our first stand-up paddleboarding experience, creating wonderful honeymoon memories. 😊

ハワイの2月の海は寒いという口コミが多く、覚悟して参加しました。2月下旬に伺いましたが、天気に恵まれてとっても綺麗なサンドバー体験が出来、参加してよかったです！
サンドバーでの記念写真をスタッフさんにたくさんとっていただいたり、お腹いっぱい美味しいバーベキューもいただき満足してます。ホヌにも出会えて、初SUPも経験できていいハネムーンの思い出ができました(^ ^)

The driver who picked us up and the boat staff were cheerful and energetic, making the tour very enjoyable. The turtles didn't come close, but we were able to see them from a distance. Last time, they came right next to us, so I was a bit disappointed... (；∀；) I want to try again next time!

カメさんは近くには寄って来なかったですが、遠くから見ることができました。前回は真横に来たので少し残念‥( ；∀；)次回リベンジしたいと思います！

The weather was unfortunately not great, but there were plenty of fish playing around while snorkeling, and a sea turtle was swimming right next to us. The barbecue after getting back on the boat was also fantastic!

生憎の天気でしたが、シュノーケルではたくさんの魚が戯れており海亀もほんのすぐ横をすいすい泳いでいました｡船に上がってからのバーベキューも最高！！

It might be unavoidable at this time of year, but I really want to go during low tide! I checked the tide times and chose my schedule, but the tour didn't match the low tide, and the water level was still up to my waist. However, there is a thrill in being able to walk right in the middle of the ocean. I think it would be the best tour if you can book it during perfect conditions. I did see sea turtles and fish, at least. The tour was only with Japanese participants.

この時期は仕方ないのかもしれませんが、やはり干潮の時に行きたい！！ 潮の満ち引きの時間を調べてから時間を選びましたが、干潮時間とツアーが合わず、やはり腰まで水位がありました。でも海のど真ん中で歩けるという感動はあります。 完璧な状態のときに申し込めば最高のツアーだと思います。 海亀も魚も一応見れました。
ツアーは日本人だけでした。

My my what can I say about Captain Bobs?! I have now gone on Captain Bobs Adventure 3 times now!! Everytime I have visited Hawaii, I have taken new friends and family to experience this amazing tour that is fun filled for all ages. The crew is exceptionally welcoming and entertaining and it is just one of the best experiences I've had in Hawaii.

You can either get picked up by their shuttle or drive yourself to the pickup spot and your day goes from about 10:30-3:00pm give or take. They continue the tour rain or shine so if the weather seems kind of gloomy, be sure to take a light rain coat! The first two times I went the weather was nice and sunny, however the last time I went there were scattered showers that were on and off throughout the whole tour. It did get a little chilly but once you're swimming in the water it's not so bad.

My favorite part of Captain Bobs is the Sandbar part where you get to play volleyball, stand in the middle of the ocean, and eat some delicious burgers, beans, and nachos after! You get to see a bunch of sea turtles swimming while on the way to the Snorkeling area and then you get to snorkel among the reef, Since it got kind of chilly after they even gave us hot chocolate/tea!

My recommendations are: bring sunglasses, towel, light rain jacket, water shoes, underwater phone case to take photos, snacks, and most of all, bring your A game to play volleyball!

I used this service for my first tour after arriving in Hawaii. It was amazing, just as I expected. Since it was only Japanese tourists, I felt safe and enjoyed myself. However, I went during the COVID period, so I brought my own snorkel and goggles.

I heard that you need to be able to swim to some extent for turtle watching. Hearing that made me nervous and I almost gave up, but watching the turtle watching group made me think it would be okay. I definitely recommend going even if you can't swim. I believe it will work out. I brought my snorkel and goggles but ended up not participating, which was a mistake.

While waiting for the turtle watching group, there are inflatable rings and other toys available, so don't worry. You can have plenty of fun. Also, it gets cold on the way back, so if you don't have something to wear, you might catch a cold. It's better to prepare a jacket and pants that you can wear over your swimsuit, as the bus ride back can be chilly.

ハワイに着いて最初のツアーで利用しました。
期待通り最高でした。日本人ツアー客のみなので、安心して楽しめました。
しかしながら、ちょうどコロナの時期に行ったので、個人でシュノーケルとゴーグルを持参し行きました。
ウミガメウォッチングはある程度、泳げる人と言われます。その言葉を聞いてびびって諦めましたが、ウミガメウォッチング組の様子を見てるとなんとかなると思いました。是非、泳げなくても見に行ってください。なんとかなると思います。小生はシュノーケルとゴーグルを持参したのに参加せず失敗しました。
ウミガメウォッチング組を待ってる間は、浮き輪など遊び道具はありますので安心してください。十分に楽しめます。
あと帰りは寒いので、羽織るものが無いと風邪引きます。
濡れても良い水着の上から着れる、上着とズボンを用意したほうが良いです。帰りのバスは寒いです。
