Book early, fun trip! This was recommended to me by a coworker who visited a month before my family. Glad I took her advice, loved it! We were upgraded to a private boat and loved our guide. He took us to the regular spot as well as a more private spot. We got lucky and saw many honu both big and small. It also helped that the weather was perfect. Definitely will do this trip again next time we’re at this island.

It was our first tour with Captain Bob. Amazing crew members and customer service was above and beyond.

I loved this experience. Everyone was so nice to us, they made us laugh and made us feel like family. I would totally recommend this….. oh yeah and the views were spectacular!

We had 8 of us and we all had a great time , the staff is excellent and the burgers and beans were bomb , thanks for great day in the water , we will be back next time we visit the island.

Great time had by all! Great for 7 year olds! The fresh water shower when coming out of the ocean was a special touch. It rinsed the salt water from my hair and suit before returning to dry land! Good food too! Best meal I’ve had on one of these trips!

We very much enjoyed this trip to the sandbar, with perfect weather, crystal clear ocean, and amazing views everywhere you look. We saw sea turtles and lots of fish when snorkeling at a beautiful coral reef. We would very much like to do this again sometime, potentially bringing additional friends or family.

The staff was awesome (Mike, Ezekiel, the captain and the lady who was in charge of the food and snorkel equipment). They were hospitable and entertaining. The time spent at the sandbar and snorkeling was perfect and not rushed at all.

Don't worry if you cannot swim! The water is shallow and clear. The staff take time to prepare you with their instructions and tips on kayaking. It only took us 2 hours instead of the 4 even with switching passengers. Make sure you are wearing water shoes or flip flops at least.
Lovely place! The green scenery is breathtaking. I was looking for a coffee shop, maybe I missed it.

Our day on the water was so much fun. The kids made friends, the lunch was delicious, and they even took time to spend with our 5 yr old to help her get comfortable with her equipment out in the water. Would definitely do again.

Crew members were great! We had a great time. The location for snorkeling was amazing.

Every staff member was very friendly and professional. They helped us with everything we needed. Activities on cruise & sandbar was fun and enjoyable.

My kids loved the sandbar & learning how to snorkel there. And the best part is that they serve you lunch and have beer for sale.

We had a great experience and will likely do it again when we return to Oahu.

We did a total of 3 excursions in Hawaii and this was by far the best one! The sandbar was such a unique experience, lunch was super yummy, and there was ample time for snorkeling. They even had a makeshift freshwater rinse at the end and hot drinks to keep us warm on the way back. 100% would do this excursion again. Thank you to the whole crew for an amazing time!

The kayaking to the sand bar was one of the best experiences we've ever had. This is mainly because the sand bar itself was just an amazing experience. Then the coral reefs.... wow! Just wow! If you get the chance and the water is deep enough, kayak over them (but be careful NOT to touch them, even with the paddles) and you'll be treated to some beautiful and colorful eye-candy.

While the people checking us in and giving us instructions were friendly, the one thing that bothered us was the "nickel and diming". I mean, you'd think renting the kayaks would get you the usual... water proof bag, etc. BUT, you had to pay for the bag ($5) on top of the kayaks. Then want an anchor? Well, that'll cost you another $5. So that part sort of left a sour taste in our mouths.

Absolutely the best excursion on the island! It’s our fifth time and we always have a blast!!

We got out to snorkel area and it was so shallow I thought I was going to hit the coral. I only seen brown coral and literally no fish. We left early.

The Captain and the helper were very energetic and explained everything in detail. I had a fear from water depth and was scared to go to snorkeling with my kids. Jason , one of the captain’s helpers guided us and helped do the snorkeling all the way. A big thank you to him, the captain and the female helper. It was a great experience!

The staff made sure everyone had a great time. They were kind, courteous and overall amazing. A must do with this company.

My wife and I did the full 8 hour day. We had a blast exploring the bay through snorkeling and kayaking. The staff on sight was helpful and efficient. It was a very enjoyable day overall. The only issue we ran into was knowing which reef was which. They provided a map which was very helpful and pointed out various landmarks to look for. We would definitely do this again.

My daughter (age 8) and I had an amazing time at the Kaneohe sandbar. We saw baby sharks and several turtles while snorkeling! The amount of time we spent there was perfect. The crew did an excellent job. I highly recommend this experience!

Never play at the sandbar before and this was SUPER FUN! the crew was fun yet professional. Perfect length of time to be at the sandbar. As for the snorkeling, it was good, but we got kicked non stop from the people in front of us, LOL. Not the crew's fault obviously. Just a note to self for next time, will give myself some space from the people in front of me. Just a suggestion, not sure it is feasible or not... adding slide will be better. But all in all, it was a great time and thank you for doing what you are doing!

My family and I had a wonderful time kayaking to the Kaneohe Sandbar. We would love to do this again in the near future!

The crew was amazing, but day on Oahu hanging with the Captain Bob’s crew! Great time at sand bar, delicious lunch, seeing so many turtles and then snorkeling! Had an amazing g time and will definitely book with them again when returning!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

when we went to check-in, they told us to wait for 2 hours because it's too windy. Our check-in time was at 8am and we had to wait until 10:30am. I would absolutely not recommend going in the morning because this side of island is very windy, rainy, and weather cannot be expected at all. Weather app tells you it won't rain but it spontaneously rains, especially in the morning. Also, water doesn't get high enough to kayak or snorkel in the morning often because of this. I don't even understand why they even have morning session to book tho. They totally could've sent us an email in the morning before we arrive, so that we don't have to wait there doing nothing for 2 hours, which was very unfortunate. Anyway, we waited and did kayaking and self-snorkeling, which I also hoped there was an instructor leading the kayaking or snorkeling but wasn't. everything was verbally told and self-learning. (kayak rental staff/instructor was extremely kind, I really liked him. nothing was his fault, it was just more the system how they work was not the best.) They did not recommend to go to sandbar, in fact they say going to sandbar is advanced and do not recommend for first time kayaking people. Then why do they even have it on their activity title? you expect fun kayaking to kaneohe sandbar and beautiful snorkeling, but in reality, we did not get to go to kaneohe sandbar, only coral reefs. overall, I don't regret doing this activity, just wish it was better. Also, 4 hour renting is way enough. we only did about an hour and half and was able to go both reefs and snorkel there. Giving 4 stars only because we went there for our honeymoon activity and it was fun between two of us no matter what, but if not, I wouldn't be much happy and fun with it tho.

We took the morning tour and we got a lot of time to snorkel and hung out with 3 sea turtles (with a safe distance away of course!). I appreciate how our local staff emphasized the importance of keeping safe the reef & the animals who call the ocean home. We got access to paddle boards and delicious coffee! Thanks again for a great time!

From start to end this was a great day on the water! We had a great crew that operated the sandbar excursion flawlessly. On our day we had a bit of rain, however this did not prevent anyone from having fun. The food was great as well as the bar service. I highly recommend Captain Bob's Kaneohe Bay Sandbar Snorkel & BBQ Lunch Boat Tour.

Took 5 friends out with me to experience the sandbar for the first time! We had such a blast! Yuko was our captain and she was the absolute best! Some snacks and drinks were provided, you can BYOB. Floaties, snorkel gear, and a paddleboard were offered. The sandbar was beautiful! Highly recommend this to anyone!

We took the free transportation that was offered, which was great.

Got to the boat and quickly got out in the bay. We had TONS of time at the sand bar. I recommend bringing a floatie or ball of ton want. We joined in with the volleyball they brought which was so fun! We stayed there during lunch so when we were done eating we went back out.

Saw more sea turtles than I can count! Even saw some on the sand bar.

Snorkeling we had plenty of time and all equipment was provided.

Definitely one of the best excursions we did while there. We definitely do it again!
