I loved the Paradise Cove Luau! It's location is beautiful! A sunset party on a private beach is a great way to start off your Hawaiian vacation! I went to the luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center years ago, and the festivities were very nice, but there were no cocktails, and no beach. At Paradise Cove, it really felt like a party. I even got a Hula certificate for coming on stage to learn! We booked the Orchid (middle) level, and it seemed just right. I love the orchid leis that we received. If there was one thing I would like to change, it was that even though 3 drinks were "included" in my package, almost every drink still cost $1-$6 extra. I expected only to pay gratuity out-of-pocket when I got there. Overall, though, I had a great time!

I was a bit anxious after reading that there were mostly English speakers and few Japanese participants, but the staff explained things in broken Japanese, which was helpful. Although the conversations on the bus were mostly in English, they provided a schedule in Japanese, which made me feel at ease.
In the session I attended, there were three groups of Japanese participants. Even though I don't understand English at all, I was able to enjoy the overseas atmosphere and had a valuable experience.
Before the show started, we had the opportunity to go canoeing and encountered sea turtles. It was a fun and delightful experience, including getting a tattoo.
There was also time to have a meal before the show began. The fried chicken was excellent. During the show, when my drink ran out, the staff kindly went to get more drinks, allowing me to fully enjoy the show at a leisurely pace.

I had an amazing time at a large pool in Australia before, so I was determined to go to one in Hawaii this time.
I signed up for the cheapest tour, which only included admission and transportation, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision! I was able to focus entirely on enjoying the attractions without wasting time waiting in lines for things like food.
While bringing in anything other than water is prohibited, the entrance security seems to be lenient, possibly because they think Japanese group tourists have good manners, so I think snacks like potato chips would be fine.
The thrilling rides and attractions that I’ve never seen in Japan were, of course, fun, but it was also great to ride with locals and get a tan while waiting. Everything felt so much more vibrant and happy on an international scale.
Thanks to this experience, I came back quite tanned! I would love to go again if I have the chance!

A bit overrated and touristy, im a vegetarian who does eat seafood but there were no vegetarian options so veggies beware as you;ll be stuck only eating salad, activities sound a lot more interesting on paper then in person, consists of a 2 second canoe ride in a circle near the shore, throwing a stick at a bale of hay, someone making you a flower bracelet, and throwing a wooden thing and a stone against a board, the actual luau dance was pretty good and the fire dance was amazing, dinner should be served sooner and the real entertainment should start earlier, the bus took forever to get there and your free mai tai just tastes like juice and no alcohol. drinks were way overpriced but is nice that your ticket includes 3 free drinks but our quite small and they loor people into buying bigger ones for 3 dollars each so they make the money back. all in all it was good to experience it for my first time but it was very unauthentic and cheesy to us.

There were many inflatable slide attractions, and even the adults had a lot of fun.
It’s a primitive system where you receive an inflatable ring from those who have finished and carry it back to the starting position yourself.
The BBQ chicken was delicious, but it felt like a waste of time to eat.
It was disappointing that the attractions were suddenly interrupted, possibly due to staff breaks or inspections.
The wave pool had waves that were almost painfully strong, which was entertaining.
The kids were thrilled and said they want to go again.

We have been to this water park for the last 5 years in a row. We have four teens and they want to go each year. There are more rides now and the kids are occupied the entire time. We don't pay extra for the buffet because it is not really that enjoyable for teenagers. They prefer the hamburgers and fries that they can get whenever they want. The buffet is more multicultural and more formal. They do not have enough poolside chairs and alot of parents sit on the grass by the lazy river. The parents would float longer in the lazy river but there are not enough inner tubes and you have to get out of the lazy river after one turn around and get back in line. For parents in there 40's or even 50's that becomes tiresome. There is a hot tub for adults over 21 but it is not open the entire time. As far as the kids are concerned this place gets 5 ***** stars! They have a really great time and love it! If they love it then I want to take them:)

During our honeymoon trip to Oahu, we definitely wanted to visit Wet 'n' Wild Hawaii. To sum up my impressions, I highly recommend it! We participated in an optional tour, and since there weren't too many people, we enjoyed our favorite attractions multiple times. One attraction we particularly liked was a seemingly simple pool that generates artificial waves. The waves are quite high, making it feel like a mini attraction, and we had a lot of fun.
One thing to keep in mind is that for slide-type attractions, you need to secure your own floaties or boogie boards at the bottom of the slide before climbing to the top. In Japan, it seems like staff would hand them out at the top, but if you forget, you'll have to go back down to get them.

First of all, this tour has a high quality. Usually, expensive tours aimed at Japanese people always have a Japanese guide, but this tour does not. However, there is an excellent local guide who understands the Japanese spirit and provides detailed guidance, so it's perfectly fine even if you don't understand English at all. I felt that this tour was thoroughly researched for Japanese participants.
Of course, regarding the important rendezvous with the dolphins, this was the closest encounter I've had on any tour so far, and it really felt like we were swimming together. I highly recommend this tour for those looking to meet dolphins. I was also impressed by the service that sends a group photo if you register your email (of course, for free).

The large bus shuttle made it easy to travel comfortably. The good thing about taking the time to go there was that there are various types of pools and attractions that can only be found here, allowing for water play suitable for different ages.
On the day we visited, both the lazy river and wave pool were too crowded, making it dangerous for small children (no outside floaties allowed, rentals available). Although I thought we could play quite a bit from 10:30 to 14:40, it felt busier than expected. I think once is probably enough.

I participated on July 29, 2010. This was my third time on the tour, but this time I joined by myself (with a rental car). It's always a lot of fun every year. The pool has many attractions, and there's hardly enough time to enjoy everything in the park. All the attractions are thrilling and enjoyable, but my kids seem to like the wave pool the most.
It's a bit far from downtown Honolulu, but it's about a 35-minute drive if you have a rental car.
Bringing food and drinks is prohibited (there's a bag check at the entrance), but you can bring bottled water. However, I noticed that the locals were secretly bringing in Spam musubi.
The rental lockers come in both large and small sizes, so it's best to minimize your belongings. Also, the number of floaties at each attraction was limited, so we ended up renting some for an additional fee.
There aren't any attractions that require a rash guard, so it's fine to wear just a swimsuit and beach sandals in the park. However, for sun protection, having a rash guard might be better later on.
You’ll be barefoot on the stairs and while waiting in line, so your feet might get hot or hurt.
There’s also a kids' pool area, so families can enjoy it together.
I haven't experienced the meal option, so I can't comment on the taste, but you can purchase meals separately for around $10 (there was a new fried rice option on the menu, but it wasn't very good).
I highly recommend this optional tour. Please give it a try!

I thought my stay might be too short, but I was able to experience all the slides and bodyboarding. The meals are served buffet-style, and you can eat freely within the designated time. I think the items for sale are cheaper, but there were long lines, which made it take a while to purchase. (You show your wristband at the same store to get drinks, but it took so long that I ended up only getting them once during my stay.) If you're moving within a short time frame, I think a lunch-inclusive tour would be more efficient. The area is smaller than I expected, but considering the wait times for slides at a certain famous pool in Japan, the wait for the slides here is shorter. I was glad I participated, more than I had anticipated before going. Depending on the weather, the wait times for the slides can make the soles of your feet quite hot. If you have sandals or beach shoes that can be securely fastened around your ankles, you can ride the slides without taking them off, so I recommend this for those planning to go.

? Shuttle Service
I stayed at the Ilikai Hotel, and the shuttle service was provided by the neighboring Prince. The pickup was scheduled for 8:50 AM for a 10:30 AM opening, which was a bit early. However, the shuttle only goes directly to the location from the Prince and Hilton. We arrived around 9:40 AM and waited at the gate until opening. For the return trip, since the Prince was the first hotel, we arrived in about 30 minutes. It was nice to return quickly. The guide spoke Japanese, which was reassuring.
? Attractions
Since it was Saturday, it was quite crowded. We lined up before opening and managed to get a shaded chair bed in front of the wave pool. The shaded spots disappeared in no time. The attractions were thrilling, with intense waves that almost made my small 8-year-old child drown. The popular multi-person slide gets crowded, so it might be best to go right after opening.
? Meals
Only water is allowed to be brought in. Everything else must be purchased on-site. However, by lunchtime, the shops were extremely crowded. We bought a plate from the less busy barbecue area for $10. It was enough to satisfy three family members, as the portion sizes are generous in Hawaii. The taste was good.
? Overall Impression
Overall, it was a fun experience with a level of excitement not found in Japan. I would like to go again if I have the opportunity.
?感想

As a first time visitor to Hawaii ,I was not sure what to expect from a Luau. The Luau actually begins on the bus ride to Paradise Cove. We were greeted, welcomed and entertained by our host, "Cousin Bronson." He told funny stories and jokes and explained what to expect before we arrived to our destination. This made everyone feel "connected" and a part of the "family."
Paradise Cove Luau was enjoyable and it was a great experience for all of us. The Paradise Cove entertainers were very well trained and showed a great deal of confidence and expertise in their skills and their dances. Afterwards, they were available for pictures and autographs. Paradise Cove is a wonderful setting for a luau. Very beautiful location for the setting sun pictures.
The trip back to our hotel was another entertaining ride with more stories and jokes from Bronson. I would recommend Paradise Cove Luau to anyone. Great job!

I had signed up for a different tour last time, but we ended up chasing dolphins in the bay, with phrases like, "Hey, chase them! They're over there! Look, over there!" and ultimately, we couldn't see them underwater. I thought to myself, "It's wild after all," when I saw the photos of people swimming with dolphins, thinking this was a rare case. However, to my surprise, I was able to see a pod of dolphins swimming underwater from above and the side, just like in the photos. I believe this was largely thanks to the instructors. They carefully guided us by saying, "Come over here! Look ahead, look down!" to show us where the dolphins were.
On the boat, the captain, who somewhat resembled Gary Sinise (which reminded me of Forrest Gump), along with the staff, performed hula and played the ukulele! Even when they were distributing the hamburgers for lunch, they always created a cheerful atmosphere that made the guests feel a sense of unity. The staff, especially one who resembled the cheerful enka singer Jero, helped create a relaxed feeling.
The only downside was that there was a family with a child around three years old, and at first, the child was crying loudly, which scared the dolphins away. I hope participants consider the age of their children when joining.

The food is good but not labeled, so try everything. Did not like most of the native dishes, but the pork and chicken were excellent. The drinks are poured in front of you, shots measured and often generous. Unless you are a drinker, I would not say they are watered down. You can purchase bigger, "better" drinks as well. (i didn't need to.) Had the standard package and would not bother with more expensive packages, seats are all good and buffet lines move quickly and plenty of food. Bring small bills for tips. It's a bit far from downtown Honolulu, but it's convenient because they pick you up at the hotel.
Bringing food and drinks is prohibited (there's a bag check at the entrance), but you can bring bottled water.
While there are free drinks available, they only offer soda, so I think it's a good idea to bring your own water.
The rental lockers are small, so it's best to keep your belongings to a minimum.
There aren't any attractions that require a rash guard, so you can get by with just a swimsuit and beach sandals in the park, but you have to take off your sandals when riding the attractions.
You’ll be barefoot while going up stairs or waiting in line, which can be painful or hot on your feet.
Having marine boots is convenient because you can wear them on the attractions.
There’s a pool area for kids as well as an adult area (which has an additional fee, but you can drink alcohol), so families can enjoy it together.
The all-you-can-eat meal at Big Splash was tastier than last year.
I highly recommend this optional tour.
Please consider participating at least once!
