I eat pineapple ice cream at Dole and shop at my usual store in Haleiwa. It's quite challenging to go alone, so this is very helpful. I can easily bring back a lot of shopping to Waikiki, which is convenient.

I participated in the morning tour. (Since I was staying in Haleiwa, I joined the tour alone from the local area.) The reception booth is open early in the morning, so you just need to say your name and then wait at the designated spot to board the boat. Since it was a completely English tour, I honestly felt a bit anxious because I'm not very good at English.

Once I got on the boat, the captain-like person came out after a while and started talking about the precautions with some jokes mixed in. Honestly, I couldn't understand what he was saying at all (I think he was explaining something like not to lean on the cage or stick your feet out, or you might get eaten by a shark). However, after that, he talked about how the teams would be divided and the order of entry into the cage, which I managed to understand.

Then, following the instructions, when it was time, we put on our underwater masks and snorkels and entered the water. No fins were allowed; we were barefoot. I wasn't timing it, but we were given plenty of time, enough to get bored. However, since there were quite a few people in the cage, it felt like we were just floating around and observing the sharks underwater. I tried to dive down and observe once, but I got scolded for that.

That said, the sharks didn't seem to be interested in humans, and while I was nervous when I first entered, the fear gradually faded away. In the end, there were even people taking pictures while hanging their feet over the edge of the cage. It seems there were no restrictions on bringing cameras or videos; for those who didn't have one, they were available for rent for a fee.

After about ten minutes of watching, I started to get bored and thought, "Is this ever going to end?" However, throughout the time we were in the cage, the sharks were always nearby, swimming around. They might have been throwing out some food.

Once all the teams finished, we headed straight back to the port. There wasn't really anything else to see.

Even though I participated alone, my lack of English skills and communication ability made it feel quite isolating. All the other participants were young American students who were all chattering among themselves, and I felt a bit left out. I ended up just looking off into the distance by myself.

Still, I think it was good to experience something I normally wouldn't get to do. By the way, the captain seemed like a nice person. He was considerate of me being alone.

P.S.: After reading others' impressions, I noticed something different from my experience: the boat's swaying. It might have been better in the morning, or maybe the waves were just calm that day, but it was very comfortable. No participants seemed to get seasick, so the conditions were probably good.

Also, a note of caution: there were a lot of jellyfish, possibly due to the season. They were small and looked like trash, so it was hard to avoid them. If you're bare-skinned, you might get stung quite a bit. I recommend wearing a rash guard that covers your arms just in case.

朝一のツアーに参加しました。（ハレイワに滞在していたので現地から一人で参加）
朝早くから受付のブースは空いているので、名前を言ってあとは指定された場所で待機していれば乗船できます。
完全な英語ツアーなので英語があまり得意ではない僕にとっては正直、不安でした。
船に乗り込むとしばらくして船長さんらしき人が出てきて何やら冗談混じりで注意事項を話し始めます。正直何言ってるか全然わからないw
（多分ケージにもたれかかったり、足出すなよ。サメに喰われるぞ的な説明だったかと）
ただ、その後ケージに入るチーム分けと入る順番を話してくれてこれは何とかなりました。
あとは指示に従って時間になれば水中マスクとシュノーケルをつけて入ります。フィンはなし。素足です。
時間を計っていたわけではないですが、飽きるくらい十分の時間が与えられます。
ただオリに入る人数がそこそこ多いのでプカプカ浮きながら水中を見てサメを観察する感じです。一回頭から潜って観察したんですが、やるなって怒られました。
とはいえ、サメは人間に興味無さそうだし、入った時はドキドキですが、だんだんと恐怖感は無くなります。
しまいにはオリに足かけて潜って写真撮ってる人もいました。
カメラとかビデオの持ち込み、撮影は制限無いようです。ない人には貸し出しも有料でしてるみたいでした。
さすがに10分も見ると飽きてきて、もう終わらないかなぁなんて思ってしまいました。ただオリの中にいる間中、サメはずっと近くにいてウロウロしてくれてました。エサでも撒いてるのかも。
全チーム見終わったらすぐ港に直帰。ほかに特に何かを見るということもありませんでした。

一人での参加ですが、僕にあまり英語力とコミュ力がなかったのもありますが、結構なアウェイ感です。他の参加者がみんなアメリカの学生さんみたいな若い人ばっかりだったのて内輪でキャッキャやってて、ちょっとその中には入れないなあと。遠くを見ながらのボッチでした。

まあそれでも普段体験出来ない事が出来たんで良かったかなと思います。
ちなみに船長さんはなかなかいい人そうでしたよ。ボッチの僕にも気をつかってくれてました。


追記：他の皆さんの感想みて僕の時と違うと思ったのは揺れ。朝一がいいのか、たまたま波が少なかったのか、快適そのものでした。参加者で酔ってるひとは誰もおらず環境は良かったのかも。
あと、注意点ですが、季節柄かも知れませんが、めっちゃクラゲがいます。しかも小さくてゴミみたいなやつなので避けようがない。
裸だとかなりチクチクやられるかも知れません。腕が隠れるラッシュガードを念のため着ていくことをお勧めします。

I participated alone as a woman. Since I came to Hawaii by myself, I thought I should do something big, so I made a reservation without thinking too much. I thought there would be other Japanese participants based on the reviews, but I was the only one this time. The driver didn't talk much, which might have been because I didn't initiate conversation, but he wasn't unfriendly. Some drivers engage with everyone during the ride, asking where they're from, but the journey was long, so it got a bit boring. There were Japanese screens for explanations that were almost like waiving rights. Most of the staff (if not all) didn't speak Japanese, but they seemed to care. Even if I didn't understand everything, it was fine as I could just follow what the person in front of me was doing. Sliding down seven times was a blast! I was a bit nervous on the first run, thinking it required more courage than skydiving, and I mentioned to the staff that I was a little nervous, but by the last run, I was enjoying it enough to choose the faster drop. The weather was also great. I could buy photos later, and although I initially chose 2-3, in the end, I got them all since they were the same price. Getting them sent via email later is quite modern. The next day, I fell and hurt my hand, and I thought if it had been before the zip line, I might not have been able to hold the handle, so I’m grateful for the day I chose.

スタッフもほとんど（全く）日本語を話しませんがちゃんと気にかけてくれてた気がします。説明は全部はわからなくても前の人を見ていればいいので大丈夫でした。7本も滑ると満喫！！1本目はちょっと緊張してスカイダイビングより度胸いるかとも思いスタッフにもちょっとナーバスなどと言ってたのですが最後のダウンでは早く落ちる方を選ぶくらい楽しめました。お天気にも恵まれたのがよかったです。写真も後から買えて2－3枚買うのと全部が同じ値段だったのではじめチョイスしていましたが結局全部しました。
後からメールで送られてくるのも今どきです。
翌日転倒して手を痛めてしまいジップの前だったらハンドルを持てないので無理だったかもと選んだ日にも自己感謝です。

Since I participated in the Thanksgiving Day tour, it was disappointing that most of the shops in Haleiwa and the garlic shrimp food stalls were closed, and I couldn't visit the places I wanted to. However, I switched my mindset and decided to try again next time, and we set off for horseback riding.

The horse I rode was a bit of a troublemaker, and during the tour, when other horses approached, it suddenly took off running and raised its front legs towards them. I almost got thrown off, but the staff quickly intervened, so it ended well, although I was a bit flustered.

The guide who drove and guided us throughout the day was very nice, and he explained things clearly and humorously at each location, which made the participants feel relaxed. He really wanted us to see sea turtles, so we stopped at several spots, and we were able to see five sea turtles up close at the last location. It was a packed and very enjoyable tour that truly made me feel the essence of Hawaii.

私の乗った馬は少し暴れん坊で、ツアー中に他の馬が近づいて来たら、急に走りだし前足をあげてその馬に向かって行きました。振り落とされそうになりましたが、直ぐにスタッフが制圧してくれたので事なきを得ましたが、少し焦りました。
一日、運転と案内をしてをしてくれたガイドさんがとても良い方で、各所での説明もわかりやすくユーモラスに話してくれて、参加者も和みました。海亀を何とか私達に見せてあげたいとの事で複数のスポットに立ち寄り、見事に最後の所で5匹もの海亀を間近で見る事ができました。盛りだくさんでとても楽しくハワイを感じられるツアーでした。

I participated with my adult sons on a family trip. It's quite expensive to do skydiving in Japan for the whole family, but in Hawaii, it was just a little over 80,000 yen, so we decided to go for it and it was really great. If you like roller coasters, I definitely recommend it if you have the chance.

I had always wanted to try skydiving, so once my trip to Hawaii was confirmed, I couldn't stop thinking about it.

On the shuttle bus, I was filled with excitement as I signed a bunch of waiver documents!

The time it took to ascend to 4,200 meters was another moment of maximum excitement! Then, I dove straight into the clouds! Spinning around, the view opened up to reveal the blue ocean and green mountains! The Earth is round!

I tried to keep smiling, but my mouth got so dry that I couldn't close it! I had to be careful not to laugh too much! I was also thrilled to check the video they filmed right after the jump, which doubled my happiness!

I was a bit anxious about my English listening skills, but I enjoyed it without any problems! The scenery was amazing, and it felt really nice when we were heading towards the sea! The staff were very cheerful, which left a good impression. I thought the price was a bit high, but considering it's an activity on a scale that's hard to find in Japan, I think it's worth it.

We chose this horseback riding experience because it has no age restrictions, and we have a 9-year-old child. The bus was full since it was the final stop, but the driver’s friendly approach created a pleasant atmosphere.

We stopped at Dole Plantation, which was a short visit, but we had enough time to enjoy it. At the beach, we even encountered wild sea turtles, and in the meantime, they made a reservation for garlic shrimp, making it easy to enjoy with kids. The tour price was reasonable.

The horseback riding experience was well-explained, and they encouraged us to bond with the horses, which made it a reassuring experience. Depending on the horse, it seems like a great activity for a wide age range. I hope to bring my parents, who are in their 60s, someday. お迎えが最終地だったのでバスは満席。でもドライバーさんの声かけでみんな和やかな雰囲気。
立ち寄りのドールプランテーション、時間は短時間ですが充分楽しめました。
海辺では野生の海ガメにも出会え、その間にガーリックシュリンプの予約もしてくれて子供連れには負担なく楽しめました。ツアー料金に納得いきます。

乗馬は説明も細かく、お馬さんと仲良くなれるよう声もかけてくれて安心して体験できました。お馬さんにもよりますが年齢幅広く体験できるいいものだなと。いつか60代の両親もつれてきてあげたいです。どうでもいいですがトイレがきれいでした。コンテナなのにおしゃれな内装。

途中インストラクターさんが写真撮影もしてくれるし、ビーチの説明もしてくれるので終始ここちいい風をあびながら乗馬できました。

帰り道は渋滞状況に応じてルート変更があるとのことで、この時は来た道ではないルートを通ってくれていろんな景色を見ることができラッキーでした。

I think it was quite a reasonable price for the skydiving experience! We purchased the video for $188 and the photos for $155. Since you can't take your own photos, I think it's a good idea for those considering the purchase to think about the additional costs! The prices are a bit on the higher side, but I'm glad we bought them! I can't help but smile while looking at the photos and videos (＾ω＾).

It was my first skydiving experience, and it was the best experience ever.

A Japanese person came to pick me up at the hotel.

It was really cold in the morning. Just wearing a hoodie was not enough to keep warm. Please be careful about this.

Once we arrived at the location, we received explanations and were offered photo options. I bought them, and I think later I would have regretted not buying them. I'm glad I did. They take a lot of pictures.

During the journey there, the driver guided us through various things in the area, and I was happy to learn interesting facts while saying, "Oh, really?" and "Wow!" The horseback riding experience was refreshing and enjoyable. The local staff were also wonderful people. If I could wish for something, I would have liked a little more time to explore Haleiwa Town, even if it meant a slightly later return time. Perhaps it was to avoid traffic? Maybe just a little bit of a tease is just right? It makes me want to go back again.

行きの道中ではドライバーさんが周辺のあれこれをガイドしてくださり、ふむふむ、へ～そうなんだぁ！と豆知識を教わりながら進むことができ嬉しかったです。乗馬も爽やかに気持ちよく体験できました。現地スタッフさんも素敵な方達でした。欲を言えば、解散時間がもう少し遅くなっても構わないのでハレイワタウンでの散策時間がもう少し長ければなぁ～なんて思いました。渋滞対策かな？「もの足りない位」がちょうどいいのかな？また行きたくなるからね。

Ziplining at Climb Works was the greatest experience ever. My friend and I are scared of heights but we felt very safe and had a lot of fun. Our guides Jackie, Reece and Aio were super kind and made us laugh the entire time we were there. They lightened the mood and helped me forget about how high up I was. Even after we finished ziplining my friend and I could not stop talking about the experience and the fun we had on our time during this activity. I really recommend going to Climb Works if you are interested in going ziplining. You will definitely not regret going! I definitely cannot wait to go again!!!

this was my first visit to oahu and the i had booked an introductory tour. it was a perfect start. our tour guide was really lovely with a good sense of humour . he was also knowledgeable about the local history and little areas of interest being a local interest.
there were lots of visits to some beautiful beaches and enough time at the waimea botanical gardens to go for a wander. the lunch was delicious. topped at the end a visit to the dole plantation.
i wish we had more time at the plantation to actually go out on the train to be amongst the growing pineapples which would have added to the experience

Last year, I decided to try skydiving for the first time to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was an amazing experience, and I ended up doing it again this year (^｡^)

We went as a group of three, and the horses were incredibly gentle! It was my second time riding, but I was worried because my two friends were riding for the first time and none of us spoke English. However, there was no need for concern at all. The number of participants was just right, and the staff were neither too close nor too distant.

The course was not artificial; we crossed sandy beaches and rivers. The sunset we saw when we got used to the horses was truly beautiful and the best part of the experience.

The riding distance was just right, making it an excellent horseback riding experience.

I had been wanting to go horseback riding in Hawaii. Initially, I planned to go to Kualoa, but it seemed that the tours there had a lot of free time (waiting) during the scheduled hours, and I didn't want to be bored, so I quickly changed my plans and found this place instead. In the end, it was a great decision to change.

I was disappointed that I couldn't see the sea turtles, which they said you have a high chance of encountering, but the garlic shrimp I had in Haleiwa was very delicious, and I was able to shop at Patagonia as well. It would have been even better if I had more time, but for now, I was satisfied.

At first, I was a bit nervous about horseback riding, but the horses were used to it, so they all lined up nicely and walked leisurely, making it enjoyable even for a first-timer like me. I wanted to take a video, but I had to give up since I couldn't let go of the reins. However, others were taking pictures. I think photos from the horse's back would be a rare capture.

The coastal route was truly amazing, with beautiful scenery that felt very Hawaiian and refreshing. While the lush greens of Kualoa's nature are beautiful, I thought the blue of Hawaii's ocean was even better. I would love to repeat this experience if I have the chance again.

結果、変更して大正解でした。
高い確率で遭遇できるとのことだった海亀を見ることができず残念でしたが、ハレイワで食べたガーリックシュリンプはとてもおいしかったし、パタゴニアで買い物もできました。
もっと時間に余裕があったら尚良かったですが、とりあえず満足でした。
乗馬は、最初は少しビビってしまいましたが、慣れている馬達なので、みんなお利口に1列になってのんびりと歩いてくれて、初めての私にも楽しめました。
ムービーを撮りたかったのですが、さすがに手綱から手が離せなかったため断念しましたが、他の方は撮っていました。馬の上からのビューなんて貴重な写真だと思います。
海沿いを歩くコースも景色が本当に最高で、ハワイらしく、気持ち良かったです。
クアロアの大自然のグリーンもきれいでしょうが、ハワイの海のブルーの方が良かったと思いました。
また機会があったらリピートしたいです。
